00:00We asked for an update on Hurricane Christine. We will talk on the phone with Ms. Ana Cloren from Pag-asa.

00:09Good morning to you, Ana. What is the latest in our time?

00:13Good morning to all of us. This is Hurricane Christine.

00:17We last saw it in the vicinity of Tumawini, Isabela.

00:22Its wind speed is 95 kmph near the center and 260 kmph west-northwest with a speed of 15 kmph.

00:36Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 3 is high in the southern portion of Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Calinga, Mountain Province, Ipugao,

00:47southern portion of Abra, Benguet, northern and central portion of Aurora, Nueva Ecija, northern portion of Nueva Ecija, northern portion of Tarlac,

00:57northern portion of Zambales, Pangasinan, La Union, and central and southern portion of Ilocos Sur.

01:03The areas that we mentioned under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 3, they are experiencing strong winds and heavy rains.

01:15This is the reason why our countrymen should be careful.

01:19Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 in Ilocos Norte, the rest of Ilocos Sur, Apayao, the rest of Abra, the rest of Cagayan, along with Babuyan Islands,

01:28the rest of Aurora, the rest of Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, other parts of Tarlac and Zambales, Pampanga, Bataan.

01:36Here in Metro Manila, Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 is still there, including Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Batangas,

01:42and in the northern and central portion of Quezon, including Ampolilio and Lubang Islands.

01:48Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 in Batanes, the rest of Quezon, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Marimbuque, Romblon,

01:56northern portion of Mainland Palawan, including Calamian, Cuyo Islands, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur,

02:03Caranduanes, Albay, Sosugon, Masbate, Anticao, and Bureas Islands.

02:08Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 in Aklan, Capiz, Antique, including Kaluya Islands, Iloilo, Guimaras,

02:15northern portion of Negros Occidental, northern portion of Cebu, including Bantayan Islands.

02:21Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 in Northern Samar, Samar-Biliran, northern portion of Eastern Samar, and northern portion of Leyte.

02:28If we notice, there are a lot of areas under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal because the area of Baguio-Cristin

02:38the area of Baguio-Cristin is still up to 730 km.

02:43So there are still a lot of areas that can be affected by Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal.

02:50So be careful to our countrymen.

02:53Based on our investigation, this Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal is possible to come out in Ilocos Region

03:01or in the coastal waters of Ilocos Region this afternoon or this evening.

03:07But this morning, it will be in the landmass of Isabela.

03:10It will pass through Cordillera and Central Luzon area.

03:14So this afternoon, within the next 12 hours, it will come out of our landmass.

03:19But this exit to our area of responsibility is possible tomorrow afternoon.

03:25And because there is an interaction with the northern Luzon area,

03:30we can see that it is possible that it will pass through Baguio and exit to the sea again

03:37or to the West Philippine Sea later this afternoon or later this evening.

03:41It is possible that it will re-intensify and become a severe tropical storm again.

03:49By that time or from tomorrow until the weekend,

03:52we expect that the possible effect of this Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal in a large part of our country

03:59will continue.

04:00So we will continue to wait for the update that will come out of Pag-Asa.
