00:00Meanwhile, a typhoon category is on the rise that is being monitored by Bagyong Leon.

00:04The number of places that are under Signal No. 1 has been added.

00:08We will know the update on the current situation from the weather specialist, Sir Chris Perez.

00:15Good morning. This is our latest update on Bagyong Leon.

00:21It continues to move near our country.

00:25And its center is located at a distance of 645 kilometers east of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.

00:33Although it is still far from our country, we have received warning signals in some parts of Northern Luzon.

00:42Here in Batanes, Cagayan, along with Babuen Island, Sabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Apaya, Ocalinga,

00:49Abra, Mountain Province, Ipugao, Benguet, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union.

00:55Warning Signal No. 1 in Aurora, Northern portion of Quezon, Bolillo Island, Camarines Norte,

01:01Eastern portion of Camarines Sur, Tanduanes, Eastern portion of Albay, and Northeastern portion of Sosogon.

01:08Meanwhile, Warning Signal No. 1 in the Eastern portion of Northern Samar, in the Northern portion of Eastern Samar.

01:16The areas that we have mentioned are prone to rain and occasional gusts of wind that are moderate to severe.

01:24It is possible that areas with warning signals will continue to move near the center of Baguio-Leon.

01:30And it is possible that we will have a higher warning signal.

01:34So, ladies and gentlemen, we will end our 6-hourly update regarding Baguio-Leon.

01:39The next update will be in the morning.

01:42Also a reminder that Baguio-Leon is prone to rain, occasional flooding in low-lying areas,

01:51flooding in areas near the rivers because the water level may rise in these areas,

01:56landslides in areas near the foot of the mountains.

02:00So, for now, we will advise our countrymen, especially in the Northern and Central Zone area,

02:05to continue to monitor the update regarding Baguio-Leon.

02:09We will also ask their local government and local DR officials for disaster preparedness and mitigation measures.
