00:00A cordial greeting to the editorial group ADN Kronos, to the director Davide Cesario,
00:10to those who organized this moment of comparison that unites institutions, businesses and good
00:16communication.
00:17A timely information, built on data and evidence, is decisive in the process of ecological transition,
00:27a process that is also indisputably cultural.
00:31Our country is getting better equipped on the long, but now marked, road that will
00:38lead to the decarbonization of production systems and to carbon neutrality,
00:45totally foreseen in 2050.
00:48The primary and urgent energy security of the country's system is being concretized
00:54through a strategy that aims to give Italy a central role in the Mediterranean.
01:02The strong assertion of renewables and the push for innovation in the numbers that our
01:09national plan, integrated energy and climate, indicates, will need a lively private sector
01:15and very protagonist.
01:16The companies that invest in sustainable productive processes are our greatest strength today.
01:24There are winning models, like those of the Italian circular economy, that all envy us.
01:33At this company, the government is trying to create the best work context, simplifying
01:41the regulations, guaranteeing certainties, incentivizing, where useful, the productive conversion.
01:48We must allow the transition to be experienced as an opportunity for development,
01:56a business asset, and not as a sum of payments and penalties.
02:02The attention of the government is on several fronts.
02:06The work on the sector in which it is more difficult to decarbonize, incentives for CERN,
02:12the advancement of the measures of the PNRR, and several other regulatory and simplifying actions.
02:19I am convinced that the renewal of European institutions will allow us to face with greater pragmatism
02:26also those Green Deal rules that have proven to be very, very unbalanced.
02:33Italy has never worked to destroy.
02:36It has rather wanted to improve, even managing directives and regulations that risk leaving behind
02:43entire sectors of the economy, entire productive sectors.
02:48It is clear that our commitment and our Green goals have never been in doubt,
02:55but there is no more room in Europe for approaches that do not take into account
03:00scientific evidence and different national contexts between the 27 European countries.
03:08I believe that on this line we can work in the new Parliament, in the Commission, in the European Councils,
03:16as the G7 Climate, Energy and Environment has already done, as well as the COP29,
03:21which will open in a few days and we will carry with responsibility the voice of the country's system.
03:27An expression of value and excellence.
03:31For this reason, I wish you all a good job. Thank you.
