00:00Our country is getting ready for the long, but now marked, road that will lead us to
00:14the decarbonization of the production systems and to carbon neutrality, totally foreseen
00:21in 2050.
00:22The primary and urgent energy security in the country's system is being realized through
00:30a strategy that aims to give Italy a central role in the Mediterranean.
00:37The strong affirmation of renewables, the push for innovation in the numbers indicated by
00:43our national plan, integrated energy and climate, will need a lively private sector
00:50and very protagonist.
00:51The companies that invest in sustainable productive processes are our greatest strength today.
00:59There are winning models, like those of the Italian circular economy, which all envy us.
01:08The government is trying to create the best work context for these companies, simplifying
01:16the regulatory frameworks, guaranteeing certainties, incentivizing, where useful, the productive
01:23conversion.
01:24We must allow the transition to be experienced as an opportunity for development, a business
01:32asset, and not as a summary of payments and penalties.
01:37The government's attention is on several fronts.
01:41The work in progress on the sectors where it is more difficult to decarbonize, the incentives
01:48for CERN, the advancement of the measures of the PNRR, and several other regulatory and
01:54simplifying actions.
01:55I am convinced that the renewal of European institutions will allow us to face with greater
02:01pragmatism also those Green Deal standards that have proven to be very, very unbalanced.
02:08Italy has never worked to destroy.
02:11It has rather wanted to improve, even managing directives and regulations that risk leaving
02:18behind entire sectors of the economy, entire productive sectors.
02:23It is clear that our commitment and our Green goals have never been in doubt, but there
02:30is no place in Europe for approaches that do not take into account what scientific evidence
02:37and national contexts differ between the various countries, between the 27 European countries.
02:43I believe that on this line we can work in the new Parliament, in the Commission, in the
02:50European Councils, as the G7 Climate, Energy and Environment has already done, as well as
02:55the COP29, which will open in a few days.
02:58We will carry with responsibility the voice of the country's system, an expression of
03:03value and excellence.
