00:25At the center of the ADN Kronos Convention, Transformation, Green Investments and Strategies,
00:30an ADN Kronos Q&A event at the Palazzo dell'Informazione in Rome,
00:34which saw the participation of important companies,
00:37the intervention through the message of the Minister of Business of Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso,
00:43and the Minister of the Environment and Energy Security, Gilberto Picchetto Frattin.
00:48The latter introduced the strategy of the government.
00:51The action of the government is on several fronts.
00:54The work in progress on the sectors in which it is more difficult to decarbonize,
00:58incentives for CERs, the advancement of the measures of the PNRR,
01:03and several other regulatory and simplifying actions.
01:07I am convinced that the renewal of European institutions will allow us to face with greater pragmatism
01:14also those Green Deal standards that have proven to be very, very unbalanced.
01:21Italy has never worked to destroy.
01:24It has rather wanted to improve, even managing directives and regulations
01:30that risk leaving behind entire sectors of the economy, entire productive sectors.
01:36Recently, the Minister of Business of Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso,
01:40presented a proposal to the European Parliament to anticipate the revision of the Green Deal compared to 2026.
01:46Through a video message transmitted during the debate,
01:49Urso explained that the government is aware that the goal of decarbonization cannot be discussed,
01:55but an open debate is needed on what is the correct way to achieve it.
02:00The Minister's words.
02:02The world of entrepreneurship plays a fundamental role in the processes of energy transition.
02:07Today, as Italian companies also show,
02:11investing in environmental, social and economic sustainability and making innovation
02:20are the levers for competitiveness.
02:23Italian companies, which are already doing all this,
02:26earn market share, increase employment and increase profits.
02:31So we must recognize that this is happening
02:35and obviously policies must accompany this process,
02:39instead of sending messages of resending, waiting, slowing down.
02:45Other countries are running on these issues,
02:48so if we want to compete, we have to go in this direction.
02:52Investments and innovation are the key instruments to embrace truly sustainable policies.
02:57Fiber, telecommunication, connectivity is an important facilitator of development,
03:03for example applied to the world of energy and renewables.
03:07We are already on the territory of energy production areas,
03:11as we are the second largest consumer in Italy.
03:14We also have the opportunity to develop energy storage activities
03:18and therefore contribute to an orderly development of the country's system
03:24through connectivity and use of renewable energy.
