00:00So this week we've got the budget, I've been looking forward to what the government are
00:05going to announce for Lancashire because the government have come in with a real
00:11positive agenda around a commitment to policing and for us with our priorities
00:19within Lancashire we produced our police and crime plan which very much mirrors what the
00:26government have been saying which is about rebuilding neighbourhood policing, getting
00:31more police officers back out into the community. Delivering what the public have been telling me
00:37is important to them. Visibility, tackling anti-social behaviour, dealing with some of
00:43the drugs and the gangs and the problems that we have within Lancashire and give Lancashire
00:50residents the safety and security and the connection within policing that they deserve.
00:57So that has got to be really what we are aiming for with the budget is about making sure that we
01:04can deliver what the people of Lancashire have been asking for. You know we've been talking to
01:09the government constantly about how we need more resources, how we need them to deliver
01:16on their commitment, give us the tools we will do the job.
