00:00Hello there and welcome to your weekend weather forecast. Do you have any plans for the weekend?
00:05Maybe you're heading out to watch some fireworks ahead of bonfire night next week and if so,
00:10let's take a look at what the weather's doing. So, high pressure which is circling around
00:15the country, that's what's been stuck with us through much of this week and that is staying
00:19here and we're staying in that milder air too, though notice those bluer colours just
00:23to the northeast of the country. So, a chillier start to the weekend for the northeast of
00:27Scotland but eventually that milder air does sink towards the northeast too. So, high pressure
00:32sticking around, it's staying fairly mild and although we do have high pressure, there's
00:36quite a lot of moisture trapped underneath which means some cloudy and grey days ahead.
00:42Even looking at the beginning of Saturday, you can see it is a fairly grey picture, plenty
00:45of grey skies around and it is going to be quite damp in some places too, particularly
00:50across parts of Scotland, all down eastern and southeastern coasts too, we could see
00:54some drizzly outbreaks and pretty much anywhere, particularly around hilly areas, we could
00:58see some spots of drizzle through Saturday. So, some quite grey skies on offer but there
01:03will still be plenty of dry weather around too, just a slight breeze beginning to pick
01:08up along southern coasts and northern coasts of Scotland too, perhaps some longer outbreaks
01:12of rain for Shetland towards the afternoon. Temperatures though for this time of the year
01:17still fairly mild, highs of 15 to 16 degrees across the south but elsewhere around about
01:23average for this time of the year. Now, if you have plans Saturday evening, well, there's
01:29not going to be much change really, it's going to be staying fairly cloudy still, we could
01:33also see those spots of drizzle in places and some longer spells of rain at times around
01:38northern coasts of Scotland, still with that breeze continuing here too but there is still
01:42once again going to be lots of dry weather around, we may even see some clear spells
01:47break through that cloud overnight but where we see those clearer skies, we are at risk
01:50of seeing some mist and fog patches. As well as that, under those clearer skies it is going
01:55to be feeling rather chilly too, so a cooler night on offer compared to Friday night. And
02:00then through into Sunday, not much change once again, there's still going to be plenty
02:05of cloud around, some drizzle at times, there's still lots of dry weather. The difference
02:09with Sunday is we're more likely to see that cloud break up, so more likely to see some
02:14brighter skies, may even see some sunny spells, particularly to the lee of any high ground.
02:19And still that breeze continuing in the far north of Scotland, still with those showers
02:23or outbreaks of rain for Shetland too. So, and looking at the temperatures as well, notice
02:28a slight dip compared to Saturday, so it's going to be a little bit brighter but temperatures
02:33are going to be slightly lower, or on Saturday milder but plenty of cloud around. So, if
02:38you do have plans this weekend, I hope you enjoy, otherwise that's it from me. Bye bye.
