00:00Hi there. For much of the UK it's more of the same weather that we've seen during the
00:06last few days but there has been a change across the far north. The cold front has sunk
00:11south and that's brought some outbreaks of rain to Scotland. It's also brought colder
00:16air to the far north of Scotland. That cold air is not going to remain in place for long
00:21but for the rest of Friday, accompanying the cold air, change in wind direction and something
00:27a little brighter compared to the last few days for Shetland, Orkney, Caithness, Sutherland
00:31but central and increasingly east and south-east Scotland, a lot of low clouds, some outbreaks
00:38of light rain and drizzle. Further south though, it's generally cloudy skies and it's relatively
00:44mild, 13, 14 Celsius. There'll be fewer breaks I think in the cloud compared with Thursday
00:50but where we do see breaks they're most likely for parts of north-east England towards the
00:55far south-west. Either way, for most it's a cloudy evening and a cloudy night with the
01:02patchy rain and drizzle sinking south into northern England, a lot of hill fog and for
01:07the far north, Shetland really, touch of frost possible with that cold air in place. Otherwise,
01:12under the blanket of cloud, most places are going to stay in the double figures. There'll
01:18be some hill fog around first thing Saturday, quite a gloomy start for Scotland with drizzle
01:23here and there, northern England likewise and some light showers moving into parts of
01:28England, Wales and Northern Ireland as well. We keep the covering of cloud in most places
01:33but some breaks could develop towards the south-east, the south-west, north Wales for
01:38example. 13, 14 Celsius and a milder day for the north of Scotland with the weather front
01:44pushing north once again, albeit with some light drizzly showers. Now, Saturday night
01:49we'll see further cloud envelop the country and out of that cloud some light rain at times
01:55but increasingly clear spells will start to emerge on Saturday night and into Sunday across
02:01central and southern parts because of a change in wind direction bringing clearer spells
02:05from the continent. But there'll also be some drizzle towards the south-west of England,
02:09northern Ireland and northern England. Some breaks possible, north-east Scotland and the
02:14Midlands as well as the south-east on Sunday, that's where the best of any sunshine will
02:18be otherwise. It's again a cloudy picture for the next few days. Bye bye.
