00:00So, based on our latest bulletin, the center of this typhoon, Marseille, is in the ocean, or the eastern ocean of our country.
00:09So, at 4 a.m., its location is 735 kilometers east of Valer, Aurora,
00:15and it has strong winds that reach up to 110 kilometers per hour near the center.
00:21There are storms that reach up to 135 kilometers per hour.
00:25And it moves fast in the direction of north-westward at a speed of 25 kilometers per hour.
00:33If we see here in our latest satellite image, the storms that Marseille brings are mostly concentrated or closer to the center of this typhoon.
00:43But because we expect that Marseille will continue to approach our land,
00:49it is possible that it will be rainy season, especially in the areas of Bicol Region, Quezon, Cagayan Valley, Apayao, and Calinga today.
00:58And we also expect that it will be possible that it will rain heavily
01:02because we see that the center of this typhoon will be near the area of Northern Luzon,
01:07possible by today or the next 36 hours.
01:10So, let's find out later which specific areas are likely to experience heavy rainfall after this typhoon Marseille.
01:20Let's also find out what is included in our latest forecast track as of 5 a.m.
01:26We can see that the central track of the typhoon or the possible movement of this typhoon Marseille in the coming days.
01:33There is also the forecast intensity or the possible category of this typhoon
01:38or the possible strength of this typhoon while the area inside our PAR continues to move.
01:45There is also the area shaded in white, that is the forecast probability cone
01:50or those are the possible areas that this typhoon Marseille may pass in the coming days.
01:57And the area shaded in yellow, that is the radius of the typhoon.
02:01That is where the strong wind brought by this typhoon Marseille is located.
02:06If we can see in our latest forecast track or forecast intensity,
02:10this typhoon Marseille may grow stronger today and reach the typhoon category
02:15until it leaves our Philippine area of responsibility.
02:20And according to our latest forecast track, we can see in the central track
02:24that we have a possible landfall scenario in the area of Babuyan Islands
02:28and also in the northern or if not in Babuyan Islands, in the northern part of the mainland of Cagayan.
02:34But because we can see that the area of Northern Luzon is still within our forecast probability cone,
02:42the track of this typhoon Marseille may go lower
02:47and the landfall scenario is also possible in the part of Cagayan and also in Isabela.
02:53So, we are just monitoring that this typhoon will go lower in the coming days.
02:59A possible exit of the typhoon is in the coming Friday or Saturday of the early morning.
03:05And if we can see here in our latest forecast track,
03:09it will go generally north-westward in the next 24 hours
03:15and it will gradually slow down starting tomorrow,
03:18especially here in the coastal areas of Northern Luzon.
03:22So, we saw the satellite image earlier.
03:25We have rain bands circling near the center of the typhoon.
03:29So, we hope that starting tomorrow until the coming Friday,
03:33we will be able to experience rain, especially in the areas closest to the center of this typhoon,
03:39especially in the areas of Northern Luzon.
03:41So, let's prepare for that because we will also experience rain for a few days.
03:46And according to our forecast track, the radius of this typhoon is a bit wide.
03:52So, it will gradually approach our Philippine landmass
03:56and some parts of Northern Luzon will be submerged here in the radius of the typhoon.
04:01And because it is also wide, while it is close to the land of Northern Luzon,
04:07we may also experience a tropical cyclone wind signal
04:10or it will also be affected by strong winds in the area of Central Luzon.
04:15So, for now, over the next 36 hours,
04:17we will be able to experience strong winds in the area of Northern Luzon
04:22and the highest tropical cyclone wind signal that we can expect in the next few days is signal number 4.
04:29For now, the highest is 5 AM in the coastal areas of Batanes,
04:34along with Babuyan Islands,
04:36also in the eastern portion of Isabela, northern portion of Apayao,
04:41and northern portion of Ilocos Norte, the area that is highlighted or shaded by light blue,
04:46with the highest tropical cyclone wind signal number 1.
04:50So, for the next 36 hours, we expect in the mentioned areas,
04:55the possibility that we will experience strong winds brought by this typhoon Marseille.
05:03When it comes to rain, we can see that the strong rain brought by this typhoon Marseille
05:09is mostly concentrated near the center of the typhoon.
05:12So, for the next few days, we expect that the strong rainfall will be felt in the area of Northern Luzon.
05:20As early as today, it is possible that the total 24-hour accumulated rainfall that we will experience today in Cagayan
05:27can range from 50 to 100 millimeters, so those are moderate to heavy rains.
05:34And starting tomorrow, the rainfall in Cagayan area will gradually increase.
05:39The rainfall or heavy to intense rainfall can reach 200 millimeters.
05:46Meanwhile, moderate to heavy or 50 to 100 millimeters when it comes to Batanes and Apayao.
05:53When it comes to Thursday, because we saw in our latest tropical cyclone or our forecast track,
06:00that the center of this typhoon Marseille will be near the area of Northern Luzon,
06:06it is possible to experience intense to torrential rainfall or more than 200 millimeters of total rainfall in Cagayan area.
06:14Heavy to intense in Apayao, Ilocos Norte, and Batanes.
06:18And moderate to heavy in Isabela, Abra, Ilocos Sur, Calinga, and Mountain Province.
06:24In the areas that we mentioned, especially in Cagayan area,
06:27it is also possible to experience heavy to intense rainfall,
06:30possibly flooding or landslides.
06:34That is why our countrymen are prepared and careful.
06:39When it comes to strong winds, besides the areas where the Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 is located,
06:47it is also possible to experience strong winds in some parts of Luzon.
06:52Today, it is possible in Ilocos Sur, Aurora, Quezon, and Camarines Norte.
06:57Tomorrow, it is also possible to experience strong winds in Ilocos Region, Quezon, Camarines Provinces, and Catanduanes.
07:06And when it comes to Thursday, it is still possible in Ilocos Region.
07:13In terms of the sea, as of 5 p.m., we have already raised the gale warning in the coastal areas of Batanes.
07:20Cagayan, Babuyan Islands, and Caragatan or Dagat Baybayin of Isabela.
07:26The waves there are possible to reach up to 5 meters high.
07:30That is why it is dangerous to cross, especially for our countrymen who have small sea vehicles.
07:35We also expect moderate to rough seas here in the coastal areas of Luzon.
