00:00track. The radius of Baguio-Nica has areas in the northern zone that are within the radius of the storm.
00:12So it is still possible to experience the strong winds that Baguio-Nica brings, especially in the areas of the northern zone.
00:19As of 11 p.m., the Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 is still high in the provinces of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, and Abra.
00:30Signal No. 1 is still high in La Union and in the northwestern portion of Pangasinan,
00:38as well as the Babuyan Islands in Apayau, Calinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Benguet, and also in the northwestern portion of Isabela.
00:48So those areas are still within the radius of the storm where you can experience the strong winds that Baguio-Nica brings.
00:57However, we expect that as the storm moves away, the areas where the Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 is still high will gradually decrease.
01:09So for the next few hours, it is possible for us to lift signals in the provinces where the Signal No. 1 and No. 2 are still high.
01:19These are the areas where it is possible for us to lift signals in the provinces where the Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 is still high.
01:30However, it is still possible for us to lift signals in the provinces where the Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 is still high.
01:34This is possible in Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Batanes, Babuyan Islands, and also in Isabela.
01:42However, it is still possible for us to lift signals in the provinces where the Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 is still high.
01:48When it comes to rain, this is based on our latest weather advisory as of 11 p.m.
01:55If we look at our latest satellite image earlier, a large area of Luzon is still affected by the rain bands of Tropical Cyclone Nica, especially the northern area of northern Luzon.
02:06This is why it is still possible for us to experience heavy to intense rains in the areas of Ilocos Norte and Babuyan Group of Islands.
02:16Meanwhile, it is still possible for us to experience moderate to heavy rains in Apayau, Abra, Calinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Isabela, Ilocos Sur, La Union, and Benguet.
02:30So, our countrymen are still being careful, but we hope that because Tropical Cyclone Nica is moving away from our Philippine landmass,
02:38the weather conditions will slowly improve, especially in the areas of northern and central Luzon.
02:44So, it is still possible for us to experience heavy rains in the areas shaded by orange and areas shaded by yellow.
02:55This is the location of our ocean, especially the areas in the coastal areas of northern Luzon.
03:03So, we still have a gale warning in the coastal areas of northern Luzon, particularly in Ilocos Norte, in the coastal areas of Ilocos Sur, in La Union, in Cagayan, along with the Babuyan Islands, in Isabela and Aurora.
03:20So, it is still possible for the waves to reach 5 meters or 5.5 meters in those coastal areas.
03:26It is dangerous to go there now, especially for our countrymen who have small sea vehicles.
03:33So, let us also update on the latest storm that we are watching outside our Philippine area of responsibility.
03:41So, from Tropical Depression, it is getting stronger and it is a tropical storm.
03:46As of 10 p.m., its latest location is more than 1,100 kilometers east of Eastern Visayas.
03:54It is getting stronger with a wind speed of 65 kilometers per hour near the middle.
03:59There is a downpour that reaches 80 kilometers per hour and it moves fast westward or downstream at a speed of 35 kilometers per hour.
04:10Although we can see here in our latest satellite image, the clouds brought by this storm have not yet affected any part of our country.
04:20But as this storm approaches our land, we will also gradually feel its effect on our land.
04:28So, let us know what will be the impact of this storm or the incoming Ophel storm in the coming days.
04:39So, this is the latest forecast track of the incoming Ophel storm in the coming days.
04:46So, let us first look at the forecast intensity.
04:49We can see that currently, the incoming Ophel storm is in the Tropical Storm category.
04:59However, we can see that as it approaches our land, it will become even stronger.
05:05It will become a severe tropical storm and it may reach the Typhoon category before the potential landfall scenarios of Northern Luzon.
05:15And we can also see that it may enter the Par-Bukas or start at Bukas.
05:20But we will most likely experience its effect from Wednesday.
05:27Especially in the eastern sections of the Luzon area.
05:30So, it is still low, especially in the areas of Northern Luzon.
05:34We can see the landfall scenario there for the upcoming Thursday.
05:39But we can see that the forecast probability or forecast confidence cone is wide.
05:47So, not only in the area of Cagayan or Isabela, the potential landfall of this storm,
05:53the track of this storm may rise.
05:56It may reach Babuyan Islands, the center of the incoming Ophel storm.
06:04If not Babuyan Islands, it may also reach Isabela or Aurora.
06:10So, let us continuously monitor the storm that is outside the Par-Bukas.
06:14And let us stay updated on the forecast for the upcoming days
06:19so that we can prepare for the possible effects of this storm in our country over the next few days.
