Signal No. 2 raised as ‘Enteng’ intensifies into tropical storm

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) raised Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 as "Enteng" (international name: Yagi) intensified into a tropical storm late Sunday evening, Sept. 1.  In PAGASA’s bulletin issued at 11 p.m., Enteng has maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gusts of up to 80 kph, up from 55 kph maximum winds and 70 kph gusts in the previous bulletin. 00:06And at 10 p.m. last night, it passed through the coastal waters of Bagamanok, Katanduan, Estaglay.

00:13It has a wind speed of 65 kilometers per hour, close to the center,

00:20It moves northwestward, or downstream, at a speed of 15 kilometers per hour.

00:26At the moment, it is not hitting any part of our land,

00:31but it is still approaching the area of Bicol Region,

00:41in a large part of Bicol Region, as well as in the area of Quezon and a large part of Luzon.

00:55And according to our latest forecast track analysis by Bagyong Enteng,

01:00it is still continuously moving northwestward until tomorrow,

01:06where by tomorrow evening, it will pass through the coastal waters of Isabela.

01:13And at the moment, it is still not hitting any part of our country.

01:19And we can also see that tomorrow evening until Tuesday morning,

01:23Enteng will generally move north-northwestward

01:27before it continues to move west-northwestward

01:31here in the area of Luzon Strait from Tuesday morning onwards.

01:36Where we can see, while it is crossing the area of extreme northern Luzon,

01:41we can see that it is possible for it to move slowly from Tuesday to Wednesday.

01:52that it will landfall in the vicinity of the mainland northern Luzon

05:34in the oriental Mindoro, here in the area of Northern Palawan,

05:38including Calamian, Cuyo, and Cagancillo Islands,

05:45here in the area of Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija,
