00:00Good morning and welcome to your latest weather update from the Met Office. Not much change
00:04through this weekend as another gloomy grey start for most of the UK underneath a lot
00:08of cloud and that's thanks to this area of high pressure with some frontal systems sinking
00:12south through today and through the rest of the weekend. High pressure still though largely
00:16in charge as we head in towards Sunday. So a fairly settled weekend and the start of
00:21the new working week. Back to this morning though, so a fairly cloudy start to the day
00:26but quite dry for Northern Ireland, Wales and the far south west. But we do have this
00:30remnant of an old front lingering across most of Scotland and down the eastern half of the
00:34UK giving some light rain and drizzle through Saturday afternoon. But a largely cloudy day,
00:40there's going to be only very few and far between sunny spells in the mix on that. There
00:45could just be a few brighter spells moving into the far east of East Anglia as we head
00:49later on through the afternoon. Temperatures are going to be fairly mild for the time of
00:53year, 14 or perhaps 15 across parts of the south. Winds though do start to pick up through
00:58Saturdays, particularly along the south coast of the UK and also across the far north west
01:03of Scotland. So it could just feel a touch chillier in that breeze. Heading through Saturday
01:08evening then, so fairly dry for most of the UK. There will still be a few light drizzle
01:14patches around, but it's going to be on hold a fairly dry evening for seeing fireworks.
01:18Will be the odd drizzle patch moving into towards the far south west as we head in towards
01:23the early hours of Sunday and the odd clear spell moving in, allowing a few mist and fog
01:28patches to form into the early hours of Sunday. So lots of cloud around. It's still going
01:33to be another fairly mild start to the day. Temperatures between 9 and 11 degrees. But
01:37in some of these clear spots, for example, in East Anglia, you could possibly see around
01:41four or five degrees further north across Scotland as well. Could also see down in towards
01:47the single low single figures with the odd rural ground frost as well possible. Moving
01:52through the rest of Sunday, so a very similar picture cloudy for many still, but with some
01:57slightly drier moving in from the east for parts of central England, parts of Wales,
02:02it could be a brighter afternoon on Sunday. Certainly the best that sunshine will be across
02:07the far north east of Scotland, where it should be a fairly sunny afternoon. The old remnants
02:12of that frontal system will be still lingering around parts of Northern Ireland, Wales and
02:16into the south west of England. So a fairly damp day here. And again, temperatures are
02:21going to be around 12 to 14 degrees and fairly mild for the time of year on Sunday. So that's
02:28your weekend weather for you. If you'd like to check out any more, please do have a look
