00:00Hi there. For many of us, it's a repeat of the last few days. A lot of cloud cover, but
00:06for a fortunate few, it is brighter. So, for northern Scotland, parts of northern England,
00:13north and west Wales, as well as perhaps northern parts of the southwest peninsula, the cloud
00:19will break up from time to time, most reliably to the north of hills. So, parts of northern
00:23England, southern Scotland, northern Scotland. Where that happens, it will feel pleasant
00:28enough with temperatures in the mid-teens. Otherwise, we keep the gloomy skies and temperatures
00:33a little lower compared with yesterday, 9-11C generally. The cloud will be thick enough
00:39in the west to give some spells of drizzly rain at times, hill fog over western hills
00:44as well, and actually we'll see some spots of drizzle towards the south coast. A general
00:49moistening up of the air ahead of some fronts that will move in during the weekend. And
00:55another cloudy start to the day on Saturday. A colder start, mid-single figures for many,
01:01touch of frost where we do have some clear spells in northern Scotland. Otherwise, it's
01:06more of the same effectively during Saturday compared with the last few days. A lot of
01:10grey skies, best of any sunshine will be across parts of northern, and perhaps this time,
01:16western Scotland, northwest England also faring reasonably well for cloud breaks, one or two
01:21breaks elsewhere. But in general, we're going to see these areas of rain moving from the
01:25west, nothing too heavy or persistent at this stage. These are weakening weather fronts
01:30as they move up against high pressure which is to the east. Nevertheless, they will bring
01:34in a bit more drizzle compared with the recent days. 14C in the southwest, that's the warm
01:39spot. Otherwise, it's a slightly colder day compared with the week so far, 9-11C. Then
01:46into Saturday night, we will see those fronts move through and as a result, they're going
01:51to clear the air from the north on Sunday and into Monday more widely. So, a better
01:58chance of some sunshine at last.
