00:00Good news for the commuters as the next phase 1 of the LRT-1 Cavite Extension will open next week.

00:16You're right Ace. Good news for our commuters as from November 16, the phase 1 of the LRT-1 Cavite Extension will open.

00:28After more than 6 years of waiting, the phase 1 of the LRT-1 Cavite Extension will open next week.

00:37There will be 5 additional stations under phase 1.

00:41These are Redemptorist, Asiana Station, Lear Road Station, PITX, Inuyakilo Avenue Station, and Dr. Santos Avenue Station.

00:52It is expected that the phase 1 of the LRT-1 Cavite Extension will open on November 16.

00:57This is confirmed by DOTR Secretary Jaime Bautista.

01:02The new line of the LRT-1 will open 6 kilometers long.

01:07It is expected that the LRT-1 will serve 80,000 passengers a day because of this additional station.

01:17This will add up to more than 320,000 daily rideships of the LRT-1.

01:23Commuters will save up to 30 minutes if the additional line of the LRT-1 is opened.

01:31From the 20 kilometers of the LRT-1, it will now reach 26 kilometers.

01:37According to DOTR Secretary Jaime Bautista,

01:41this is an early Christmas gift for residents of areas near the new line of the LRT-1.

01:48The government is also hoping that this will reduce heavy traffic.

01:53This is the first railway project that will be opened under the administration of Marcos.
