00:00And Chris Camosi comes back hometown in Denver, gets the victory, is now the champion.
00:08We bring him on now.
00:09Chris, thanks so much for joining us.
00:11Appreciate your time.
00:12Congratulations on being the champ.
00:15You know, long time coming for you.
00:16A lot of work that you put in to get this belt and you finally have this belt and, you
00:20know, can now look to defend it and show a great example as the BKFC Cruiserweight champion.
00:25Hey, thank you.
00:26Yeah, it feels good.
00:27You know, 20 years in the making.
00:31I've been at this, you know, fighting in general a really long time.
00:34So it's awesome to be able to add world champion to the list.
00:38Yeah, it was, you know, a tough road to get here.
00:41Ups and downs all over.
00:42You know, different disciplines that you've tried, different organizations, you've pretty
00:45much, you know, tried everything and everywhere that you could in the fighting world.
00:48Like you said, a long time coming.
00:51Before this fight, obviously you fought for the title against the juggernaut, not the
00:54fight that I don't think either of you wanted to put on, you know.
00:57How did you recover from that one?
00:59You know, what was the mental, you know, probably the mental thing you had to go through to
01:03deal with that and kind of get yourself back to the fighter that you want to be?
01:06Because it was a much different fight than we saw from throughout your BKFC career.
01:10The fights that you had before that, more of what we saw this one.
01:13So what was it like, you know, after that fight, kind of getting yourself back centered
01:16to where you need to be to eventually get this opportunity again and make the most of
01:19it?
01:20Yeah, I mean, first off, I was out, you know, kind of sidelined for a year, not by my choice,
01:27but, you know, it just took a while to get another matchup.
01:30So sitting on that for a year is definitely frustrating and annoying.
01:34And then, you know, outside of that, just telling myself going into this one that it's
01:40win or retire.
01:41It's going to be like that for all of them now.
01:44So it's a different mentality, you know, leave everything in there, go for broke.
01:48Well, obviously you got yourself back together, you know, you got back to where you have shown
01:53us you are before, you know, the awesome fighter that you are.
01:57You know, what was the issue with getting a fight together?
01:59Was it just that they couldn't find something for you?
02:00Were there injuries you had to recover from?
02:02What was the long layoff for, because, you know, a guy like you has been there a long
02:06time.
02:07I'm sure that's the last thing you want to do is sit around, maybe get a little rusty
02:09and, you know, be thinking about other things than fighting.
02:11Yeah, no, I mean, it wasn't by my choice.
02:14I was healthy.
02:15You know, I think it was just a matter of, I don't know, maybe budgeting, scheduling.
02:22I think that BKFC books out pretty far now.
02:25Just nothing ever came together.
02:26You know, I was knocking on Feldman's door and contacting him constantly, probably annoying
02:32him.
02:33He probably got sick of me.
02:34But, you know, at the end, we got a fight and got the title.
02:36So I don't really know, but I don't want another year layoff, I know that.
