00:00More than 3,000 new cases of HIV have been reported in the Philippines.

00:12Patrick, according to the Department of Health, the number of new cases of HIV-AIDS in the country is four times higher.

00:19Since 2012 until last year,

00:22more than 3,000 new cases of HIV-AIDS have been reported in the first quarter of the year.

00:29While 80 of them are in the U.S.

00:32That's why the DOH wants more information dissemination

00:37and enhanced treatment protocols against HIV-AIDS.

00:40Also, the expansion of HIV testing throughout the country.

00:44The Philippines is one of the countries in the Asia-Pacific region

00:47that has the fastest rate of cases of HIV.

00:51The Love Yourself PH, the Department of Health,

00:54and the U.EqualsU Campaign, or Undetectable Equals Untransmittable Campaign,

01:01are working together to stop the spread of HIV in the country.

01:05Here are some reminders to avoid HIV-AIDS.

01:08First, use protection.

01:11Be honest with your partner.

01:13Third, consult or get tested according to your HIV status.

01:19And lastly, follow the advice of your health care provider.
