00:00What's going on everyone?
00:15My Catholic Taylor Kyle's here back on CLS media for Patriots postgame after the Patriots
00:20take down the Chicago Bears 19 to three in Chicago.
00:25It's the Bears fifth loss of the season.
00:27It's their first at home.
00:28They were four and oh heading into this one now sitting at four and one at Soldier Field
00:32because the Patriots come in and take them to the hill.
00:36Like you said, Taylor, they just kind of went in there, played sound football in pretty
00:40much all three phases and and played pretty well.
00:43Basically, we're going to we're going to break it all down.
00:45Our reminder, we're powered by prize picks and game time.
00:47We'll talk about them in a little while.
00:50Figure Xanis comes on here with us, Taylor, and he's kind of the the normal postman and
00:55he makes the you know, he makes the adjustments and he gives us the ball.
00:58But without him today, I'll try and do the best as possible, but we'll start with the
01:02defense.
01:03We'll talk about the offense.
01:04Well, then we'll talk about the Patriots heading into next week against the Rams at now three
01:09and seven getting their third win of the year today.
01:12So I think although Drake May is always the topic of discussion, he's the quarterback.
01:16He's the number three pick and he hit an up and down day.
01:18We'll get to all that.
01:19I don't want to start there.
01:20I want to start with this defense because when we did our midseason awards show the
01:25other day with Brian and Alex on the crossover, we were asked what our biggest question mark
01:31heading into the second half of the season was.
01:34And mine was if this defense can, you know, get it together and get it done and get back
01:38to the, you know, the stout staunch defense that they has been sort of their identity
01:42the last couple of seasons.
01:43Offense has been great since since Tom Brady left, as we know.
01:47And as we saw with Mac Jones today in a Jaguars uniform, didn't play great.
01:50So that was kind of one of the reasons.
01:52But the defense has been their bread and butter, and they sort of fell off the wagon a little
01:56bit the last couple of weeks.
01:57They started well against Cincy and then they couldn't get it going over the last couple
02:01of games.
02:02But they come in to Chicago and blow the doors off with their defense.
02:06They sack Caleb Williams nine times.
02:08They only allow three points heading into this game.
02:11Taylor, they only had 16 sacks over their first nine games.
02:16They had nine today.
02:17So they were all over him.
02:19Great game.
02:20Nine times, three tackles for loss, hits the quarterback, five tackles.
02:22Keyon White had pressure all day, finishes with, I believe, two sacks, maybe one sack.
02:27I don't have the numbers right in front of me, but quarterback hit.
02:30He also defended a pass.
02:31Deitrich Wise was wreaking havoc as well.
02:33So a really solid day overall for this defense, especially the pressure they got on Caleb
02:38Williams all day.
02:39Oh, yeah, especially the fact they were able to keep him in the pocket for most of the
02:42game.
02:43He had a couple of key conversions.
02:44I think one, like I saw Daniel Equality was on the ground.
02:47Another one where it looked like Farms and Equality were the two guys that were in the
02:50area.
02:51But for the most part, what they did a lot was it looked like they were sending blitzes.
02:54So every gap was pretty much covered in it, forced Caleb Williams to stay inside and not
02:58really have a whole lot of area to make plays happen.
03:01Gerard Mayo mentioned, Demarcus Covington mentioned.
03:03We heard from all the defenders that this guy's a scrambler, he's athletic, he's elusive
03:08and all these things.
03:09So that was clearly a massive area of emphasis.
03:11So good to see them be able to keep Caleb Williams hemmed in for the most part, especially
03:15when it came to not letting him extend plays and then use his arm.
03:18The coverage on the back end seemed fantastic.
03:19It felt like in every obvious passing situation, Caleb didn't have anywhere to go outside of
03:25underneath throws.
03:26Now, to be fair, I don't think that Caleb Williams and his receivers, maybe even the
03:31offense helped him out because there were so many, especially third downs where the
03:35ball wasn't close.
03:36I was thinking, have any of his throws on third down even been catchable in this game?
03:40It's hard to know.
03:41We don't really know their offense, whether it's on Caleb, whether his receivers aren't
03:45running the right routes.
03:46But hey, the defense took advantage.
03:47You had some really kind of breakout-y performances from a few guys.
03:51Brendan Schooler, someone that really I don't think he's taken any special team snaps.
03:55It's certainly been very limited, but he ends up, I think he got two hits and also a sack
04:03on Caleb Williams, two times he was kind of a mug linebacker as a spy on Caleb.
04:08Another time he actually came down from depth in the middle of the field.
04:11I'm not sure if that was like a zone thing where he basically just adjusted post-snap
04:14or if he was a true spy and they just wanted to kind of give a different look or whatever.
04:18But really cool role from him.
04:20Hopefully we see more of that moving forward because with his range, his tackling ability
04:24and obviously the physicality, he's a really good option for that kind of scooby spy role.
04:28Trying to think of some other guys we haven't really touched on yet.
04:31Del Pettis, our boy, he's looked really good in man coverage, struggled a bit in run defense
04:36last week.
04:38Some late recognition kind of plagued him, but has a pass breakup and he has a sack after
04:42coming in unblocked on a zero blitz.
04:45Also looked like Caleb wanted to throw behind him, but Pettis putting his arms up made it
04:48prevented that throw.
04:49So really good play from those two guys.
04:52Also I think it was Pettis' first start of his entire career, got the start over the
04:56veteran Jalen Hawkins.
04:58So really a testament to him once again with Kyle Duggar out.
05:02You touched on it, Jeremiah Farms.
05:05He's shown flashes throughout the season.
05:07You've seen he'll have a crazy quick win as a pass rusher or he'll knock somebody back
05:12against the run, but you haven't really seen a performance like this where he put it together
05:16and there weren't any glaring mistakes, at least not that I noticed live.
05:19So I want to give him credit as well.
05:21Anthony Jennings, there were some big runs that went to his side, but you know what?
05:25He made up for it.
05:26He had two sacks on the day, also had some run stops when they tried to target him.
05:30And then Keon White.
05:32It's not perfect.
05:33He was actually benched early on for Curtis because in that kind of base defense, usually
05:38it's Jennings and Keon White as the outside linebackers.
05:41We really saw Curtis Jacobs early on, which is kind of strange.
05:44And then I tweeted the second that Keon White entered the game in that package, they ripped
05:48off a long run kind of targeting him.
05:49But it looked like he found his groove throughout the game and really was able to bounce back.
05:53So impressive, impressive performance from this defense.
05:57Obviously the run game, there were some pretty significant body blows they let up.
06:01Again, I think they'll probably get charged with like two or three explosive runs allowed,
06:05but they weren't backbreakers.
06:06And also De'Andre Swift kind of helps you when he's running behind a bad offensive line
06:10and he's got pretty terrible vision.
06:12Just being totally honest, I think that kind of helped the run defense, but it was the
06:16first time they didn't allow four yards per carry since week two.
06:19So I don't care who you're playing.
06:21The point of the game is to beat whoever's in front of you.
06:24They managed to do that, capitalize on a Bears offense that has a lot of passing weapons,
06:29but they're not very well coached as we saw today.
06:31Caleb Williams' protection wasn't there and the run game wasn't there.
06:34So great stuff from the Patriots defense.
06:36Yeah, another great pass defense pass breakup from Marcus Jones on that fourth and ten play
06:41on the sideline.
06:42He looked really good, not only as a part returner, which we'll get to a little bit
06:44of that when we talk special teams, but he looked good in the back end as well.
06:49Like you said, he wasn't, I would say he was up and down in run defense, but he makes that
06:53solid pass breakup on the sideline.
06:56The run defense too, against this Chicago team, they allow 73 yards on 20 carries.
07:01Like you said, under four yards, 3.7 yards.
07:04They're long.
07:05Uh, Chicago's long run was only 10 yards from Caleb Williams.
07:08So not terrible.
07:09Uh, DeAndre Swift had a long of nine, but he only averaged 3.7 yards of carry.
07:13Um, and they really hold all of those wide receivers in check for the most part.
07:17Kenan Allen is their leader with five for 44, uh, DJ Moore, only three for 24, someone
07:21who can knock it on the same page as Caleb Williams for the life of them.
07:25They show on the sideline.
07:26And they're getting there.
07:27They're getting their asses handed to him.
07:28He's sitting there smiling and laughing.
07:29I like DJ more.
07:30He got paid good on him.
07:31Uh, he has not had a great season, has been not been able to get on the same page with
07:36Caleb.
07:37And that's why I want to tie this into Shane Waldron and this Chicago offense, Taylor,
07:42because they don't have it.
07:44And I kind of want to go to you and try and defer to you here.
07:47Cause I can't quite figure out what it is, but we talked about it in our lead up and
07:51evaluating this team in this game and look, Caleb Williams.
07:54Yes.
07:55He's running down.
07:56Yes.
07:57He he's running around like a maniac right now, but he's played some pretty good football
07:59this year when he had to, he had a huge game overseas, I believe against Jacksonville through
08:03five touchdowns.
08:04He's looked really good.
08:05He's also looked really bad, but then you have DeAndre Swift, not great vision, but
08:09someone who can be a, an impact in both the run game and the past game.
08:13And then you have that three headed mount monster and Alan a doomsday and DJ more Cole
08:16commit as well.
08:17Like what is going on with this offense?
08:19Because they, they score three points.
08:21They I believe they've now lost, I want to say two or three in a row.
08:25And this is the second consecutive game where they haven't scored a touchdown.
08:28So first and foremost, what's up with the past, the play calling and shade Waldron.
08:33And do you think that, you know, there's a, I know this is kind of maybe not reactionary
08:38is the right word, but like, could they go and just fire Shane Waldron after today?
08:41Because their offense has been abysmal and I don't see how it's going to get any better.
08:44I think, yeah, I usually don't like to say you could fire somebody this fast and I don't
08:49know if they're going to fire Shane Waldron, but it is just so, so bad in a way that feels
08:53like it's almost probably hurting Caleb Williams and just keep saying with Alex van Pelt, like,
08:59yeah, the Patriots offense isn't great.
09:01And the spacing issues we've talked about and like some questionable play call.
09:04Sure.
09:05But it's never felt so bad where it's like, he literally does not have a shot when he's
09:08dropping back.
09:09Sometimes now I don't know, but there's passing offense inside and out.
09:12Like I don't want to start talking out of my rear or anything like that.
09:15There was a questionable call.
09:16I felt like there was an early third down where it felt like they could have gone for
09:18it.
09:19So they try a screen.
09:20And I thought that was really kind of an odd choice to make horrible timeout management
09:24in the first half.
09:25They think they blew two of their timeouts before they got even close to the end of the
09:29first half.
09:30So yeah, just a poorly managed offense.
09:32I think Caleb Williams has some of the issues that you saw in college, just like Drake may
09:36where with Drake.
09:37Yeah.
09:38Sometimes you'd have the superheroics.
09:39I think now like everything that he struggled with in college is kind of starting to come
09:42out with Caleb.
09:43I think we've seen that with the accuracy at times.
09:46No like crazy scrambles or anything from him like you did see sometimes in college, although
09:50those can kind of get overblown.
09:51But yeah, I don't want to get too far into the Bears because I'm just not super familiar
09:55with them based on or outside of my prep.
09:57But yeah, that's like I said before the game, I feel like the Bears are closer to what people
10:01think Alex Van Pelt is than what Alex Van Pelt actually is.
10:04And you saw that today.
10:05Yeah, 100%.
10:06I want to get into that.
10:08I want to get into some of the trickery we saw finally from Alex Van Pelt's offense.
10:11It felt like he kind of he took the blinders off a little bit and kind of wanted to give
10:15them a chance on, you know, some trick plays and some, I guess, misdirection and things
10:19of that nature.
10:20So we'll get into that when we talk about the offense.
10:21But before we do, any final thoughts on this Patriots defense?
10:25I mean, again, nine sacks on Caleb, only 16 going into the game.
10:29Farms, white, wise.
10:31The run defense was solid.
10:32Anthony Jennings, good.
10:34We've talked about Jennings where, you know, he's one of the he's a great run defender.
10:37We probably one of the better ones in the league at just just his position, right?
10:42Didn't we have that conversation the other day where if you had to pick a Patriot to
10:45be like really good at one position, who would you pick?
10:48And it was Anthony Jennings.
10:49And we thought about somebody else, I think.
10:51But he's been great in run defense, but also really solid today in in the pass rush aspect
10:58as well.
10:59So any final thoughts on the defense when we move this thing on to the offense?
11:02Yeah.
11:03Anthony Jennings had six pressures today.
11:04So again, just monster performance from him.
11:07Been the Patriots most consistent player, I'd say, really, the past two years at Barmore,
11:11I think last year was just on a different level.
11:13But if you're going the past two years combined, he's probably been the most consistent guy.
11:16And also Dietrich wise, needed to get helped off the field.
11:19I'm not sure if he had a dead leg.
11:20It looked like somebody might have leg with them or something like that.
11:22So hopefully he's all right.
11:24But he also had a monster performance.
11:25We have he had two sacks for combined eight yards, two quarterback hits, a tackle for
11:30loss and a pass broken up on that final drive.
11:33So really good game from him.
11:34And also Marcus Jones.
11:35Awesome pass breakup.
11:36I believe it was on third down against Keenan Allen was trailing.
11:40And then once he got back into position, got his head around and broke it up, Christian
11:43Gonzalez had a hand on a pass as well.
11:46So, yeah, just good overall performance from those guys.
11:48We have some Christian Gonzalez stats behind the line.
11:51Oh, look at that.
11:54Some from next.
11:56Looks like some next gen stats here from from Lowe's talks, Pat's Christian Gonzalez lines
12:00up against the three headed monster.
12:02We talked about two targets on him versus D.J. Moore.
12:06Only one catch for 18 yards allowed.
12:08No targets on no catches for Keenan Allen lined up against Gonzalez and two targets.
12:13No catches for Roma Doomsday.
12:15So Gonzo continues to be solid.
12:19How bad is my mic?
12:20We're getting we're getting talks.
12:22You can hear me fine.
12:23All right.
12:24It's just it's just our annoying producer in the back.
12:25Kidding.
12:26I'm it.
12:27We love you.
12:28So, yeah.
12:29Christian Gonzalez continues to man up.
12:30He had that nice.
12:31I think you had tweeted about it where he basically didn't allow D.J. Moore to get any more than
12:35he already had won a solid tackle there.
12:39So good stuff from Gonzo.
12:43And so on the defense to just wrapping up the injuries, Marcellus Dial leaves the game
12:47with a concussion.
12:48Taki Taki leaves the game with a hamstring.
12:50I don't remember if he came back.
12:51And then didn't Mapu come off towards the end as well?
12:54He looked like he was limping at the end.
12:55He did.
12:56Yeah.
12:57Yeah.
12:58So we shall see what happens there with the Patriots defense.
13:01But even with obviously they trade Josh Uche lacking in pass rush, they end up claiming
13:10they claim Yannick Ngakwe.
13:12He doesn't play.
13:13They still get after the quarterback today, have a dominant performance, something that
13:15I was looking for for them to get going in the second half of the season.
13:20And they do so today.
13:21So we're going to get into the offense.
13:22We're going to get into some leftovers, some special teams, talk about some other storylines
13:25into the game.
13:26But before we do, let's talk about our friends over at prize picks.
13:30Unfortunately, did not hit my prize picks for this game, Taylor, because I did have
13:33Drake May to have over 195 and a half passing yards, but they didn't need it.
13:39I hit.
13:40Did you?
13:41Oh, yeah.
13:42What was yours?
13:43Well, fewer than 72 and a half rushing.
13:44Yeah.
13:45Nine.
13:46Ha ha.
13:47Told you.
13:48That's fact week, baby.
13:49Yeah.
13:50Drake May did not have to.
13:51I did my my lineup for for my own prize picks, and then we did our Pats daily one as well.
13:55And both my Drake May numbers didn't hit because they didn't even need them because the defense
13:58was so dominant.
13:59Definitely allowing three points.
14:01But prize picks is the best place to get in on real money sports action.
14:05They have over 10 million members and billions of dollars in awarded winnings.
14:08They make daily fantasy sports accessible to all.
14:11You can win up to 100 times your money on prize picks with as little as four correct
14:15picks.
14:16And there's still plenty of NFL football underway today.
14:18So if you want to join us and get in on the action, download prize picks, sign up and
14:23use code CLNS for fifty dollars instantly after you play your first five dollar lineup.
14:28That's code CLNS on prize picks for fifty bucks instantly after you play your first
14:33five dollar lineup.
14:34The lineup doesn't need to even need to win.
14:36You get your fifty dollars instantly.
14:38So come play with us on prize picks.
14:39Prize picks run your game.
14:41All right, Taylor, let's move on here to the Patriots offense because they score 19 points.
14:49Drake May goes 15 of 25 for one touchdown, one interception.
14:54Jalen Polk comes back from the dead with a touchdown, although it was his only catch
14:59of the day.
15:01So let's talk to Drake May first and then we'll get into all the other stuff, because
15:03an up and down day for him, a lot of turnover worthy plays, but a lot of flash plays as
15:08well as the big, big throw across the middle of Keishon Booty to set them up in field goal
15:12range at the end of the half, obviously, as the touchdown to Polk.
15:16But put the ball in harm's way a lot as well.
15:18He had the tough interception where it looked like he was trying to throw the football away,
15:22I thought.
15:23And he just did.
15:24It looked like he was kind of trying to get him to him, but there was clearly a defender
15:26underneath.
15:27So I couldn't tell if he was just trying to chuck it out of bounds and didn't get enough
15:30behind it.
15:31But regardless, not good enough from him.
15:33So what did you think of Drake May's performance overall today?
15:36Yeah, I was saying this win kind of felt weird because we understand that wins are nice,
15:42but really you're looking for growth this season.
15:44Now you got it from pretty much everyone, but it's kind of like the flip from last week
15:47against the Titans where it's like, oh, you're pretty much worried about everything.
15:51Drake May kind of struggles, but he also shows you why he's your franchise quarterback
15:55potentially and why he can keep you in games and all that.
15:58Obviously he made plays today.
15:59I don't want to pretend like he didn't.
16:00He was the reason they were in field goal range to end that half.
16:03Had some really incredible throws, like he had the great one to Austin Hooper.
16:07Should have had another one to KJ Osborne, unfortunately he stepped out of bounds.
16:10But the two interceptions or the interception in the turnover where they play, I just can't
16:15ignore that.
16:16And honestly, in my stock report, just because there's not a lot of stock down, which is
16:19super nice, but I may have Drake may just by default because we wanted to see him take
16:23that step forward.
16:24He mentioned we'd want to have less or fewer turnover where the throws and then you have
16:28two where you throw directly to a defender.
16:30The first one I actually thought he kind of looked back and then opened up and through
16:36and it felt intentional to me, which is why I thought, and we've seen this from him before
16:40where he kind of moves underneath the fenders and then throws, I feel like he kind of predetermined
16:44it.
16:45He predetermined the way on the Hunter Henry turnover where they play because you see him
16:49look right and kind of like move his body that direction, even though it's not a great
16:53look there.
16:54Then he comes back and is already set to throw.
16:57So I think maybe the Hunter Henry was contacted in the route.
17:00I think there's a chance maybe that affected it and kind of made him slower and Hunter
17:04Henry wasn't the exact spot, but still Drake in the red zone, you have to show better awareness
17:09than that.
17:10And you've got to know that you're about to throw right to a defender, whether it was
17:13inaccuracy decision, whatever it was, not good enough.
17:16And you almost gave up points and a critical juncture there.
17:19So I can't give him passes for those.
17:22I don't want to say he regressed because it's not really regression.
17:27It's what we've already seen.
17:28But I would say that we saw a lot of what we already know is there, right?
17:32Like there wasn't anything from Drake May that surprised me today.
17:34The Bears did a much better job keeping him in the pocket.
17:36I think that was huge because we knew the past few weeks, like you can't keep letting
17:41quarterbacks get that many yardage.
17:43And the Bears are a very well coached defense, they're a good defense at least.
17:48I can't really speak to the offense, but they did a really good job keeping Drake Mayhem
17:52then look at the tape and see if there were more opportunities than he capitalized on.
17:56But I would just say like slight stock down for Drake, just because we didn't see, I think
18:01the step forward, although I will say if we're talking about the big picture, I would say
18:06this week he did take a step forward because we heard the report from the broadcast crew
18:11that, you know, Gerard Mayo actually touched on it on Friday that it wasn't the best week
18:15of practice, but he liked the way guys bounced back.
18:17Then the broadcast crew actually informed us that Drake May asked Van Pelt, hey, can
18:22I address the offense?
18:23I've seen reports about the team, I've seen about the offense.
18:25I just heard the offense specifically, but he didn't address them because he wasn't happy
18:30with the effort.
18:31And that's the kind of competitor that we know Drake is.
18:33We was never going to be the kind of quarterback that accepted mediocrity.
18:36We know that because of how he worked with the rookies this offseason and in the summer
18:40and the spring.
18:41How dedicated he was to getting on the same page and making sure those guys were being
18:44communicative.
18:46So seeing your 22 year old quarterback step up and say, yo, we're not cutting it guys.
18:51Like that's what we saw from Brady where you hear all the stories about when the Patriots
18:54were great and Brady's keeping them after on like Saturdays and saying, no, we need
18:59to have a meeting.
19:00Like we got to get this shit together because this is not good enough.
19:02That's the attention to detail you want to see from a young quarterback.
19:05He's only going to see more things.
19:07He's only going to get better.
19:08You would have liked to see him maybe put that together more in his performance, but
19:11at the same time, that's a really, really positive sign overall.
19:15And also just overall the offense finding ways to win, even when their quarterback can't
19:18really put them on his back.
19:19And I think it says a lot to where you, you go into the week and you have a bad week of
19:24practice and you are such a young team with, you know, I don't want to say a lack of leadership,
19:28but you know, captain's obviously going down and you're really turning on to, um, turning
19:32it over to your young guys, Drake may being one of the leaders clearly, uh, on offense.
19:38They come out and they have a bad week of practice.
19:39He speaks, whether it's the team, whether it's the offense, it's kind of a moot point,
19:43but he goes up, says his piece.
19:45And even though he doesn't have a great day himself, still leads the offense to 19 points.
19:49The defense still responds.
19:50Even after a bad week of practice lets up only three points, it gets after the quarterback.
19:54And so even, you know, again, a young team that hasn't played their best football this
19:59season, when you have a bad week of practice, you would assume that it's going to translate
20:03over to the game, but they stop it on Friday.
20:05What did Gerard Mayo call it?
20:06A focus Friday, focus Friday.
20:09They get their focus in on Friday and they turned around and win on Sunday.
20:13So we got some sound bites for you from post game.
20:15So first of all, let's, um, let's hear from Drake May.
20:19He claps it up for the Patriots defense, uh, after today's victory phones down, phones
20:26down, no pass down real quick, clap it up for the defense, clap it up, clap it up.
20:31There we go.
20:32Appreciate it.
20:33There we go.
20:34That's, that's pretty good.
20:35Drake May claps it up for the defense.
20:36We also have some sound, uh, from Gerard Mayo who spoke after the game as well.
20:41Uh, we have that as well, I believe we do in the book.
20:43Drake has addressed the offense, um, numerous times.
20:46I think this is, it goes back to now he's starting to really take control of, of the
20:51offense and the team.
20:52I mean, when you go out there and you perform at a high level, that's the first step.
20:55The next step is to bring others with you.
20:57And I think he's, uh, he's on his way to doing that.
21:00There you go.
21:01Leader Drake May.
21:03Um, other stuff on the offense, let's talk first, Jalen Polk, one catch for two yards
21:08and let's kind of transition this.
21:09I was going to save this for a leftover section, uh, at the back end of, uh, of the show, but
21:15we also got this question in the chat from D who again, D we appreciate, uh, the, uh,
21:20the donation, the cashier, good stuff.
21:22Why no KB and Baker, but KJ Osborne plays.
21:25That's crazy.
21:26So let's talk about the wide receiver as a whole Taylor.
21:29Um, yeah, Andrew Callahan actually reports it.
21:33I think we have a graphic.
21:34We can bring up Callahan's report as well, but he reported after the, or before the game,
21:37rather than Kendrick Bourne was told, uh, yesterday afternoon that he may not play as
21:42they try to prioritize playing time for their younger receivers.
21:46He also obviously, uh, did not see much.
21:48If any run today, Jalen Polk has one catch for two yards, KJ Osborne after being inactive
21:53last week as a healthy scratch ends up playing and he sort of turns into that, uh, into that
21:59backup role instead of Kendrick Bourne.
22:01Kind of odd.
22:02I think Taylor, because you have Kendrick Bourne on this three-year deal, you paid him
22:07this off season.
22:08He's sort of become a leader in that room.
22:10And you have KJ Osborne playing as someone who, again, he's been a professional.
22:15We've seen it.
22:16He hasn't really caused any gripes.
22:17He had the one Instagram hiccup, but everyone keeps calling that a, a bad thing.
22:21I didn't even think that that was that bad that he just posted that he was in the context
22:25of what was going on where it's like, we have all these people doing this and now you get
22:29one of your, like, I, I get why it was just, it was all piled up at once at that point.
22:35I think that I was just, yeah.
22:37But so regardless, KJ Osborne, uh, active today placed over Kendrick Bourne and Osborne,
22:43someone who had the hiccup on Instagram, someone who kind of didn't say that he didn't want
22:47to be traded.
22:48I thought that might've been a little bit blown out of proportion when it came out too,
22:51but he was asked about it and said, yeah, I'm down for whatever, uh, and said he wasn't
22:55happy with his role here, but he's now playing over Kendrick Bourne.
22:58So, uh, what do you make of that?
23:00What do you make of Jalen Polk's touchdown catch?
23:01I thought that that was sort of going to get the Renaissance going for Jalen Polk, come
23:04back from the dead a little bit, but it was his only catch on the day.
23:08He did take a significant amount of snaps as well.
23:10So thoughts, performance, and also, uh, Keisha on booty.
23:14I want to give him some flowers too.
23:15He has turned into Drake Mays guy, as far as like when shit hits the fan, when I need
23:19to go make a play, whether it's down the middle, crossing the middle and out route of a comeback
23:24on this, like he's going to, he went, I wrote it down.
23:28It's gotta have it situations when you're in, gotta have it situations.
23:31Drake may is going to K Sean booty.
23:33He's turned into that go-to guy for him.
23:34So thoughts on the wide receiver room as a whole today.
23:36Yeah.
23:37So let's start with K Sean booty.
23:38First of all, it played a team high 59 offensive snap scored in the PFF.
23:42He was the only player who even crossed the 30 marks.
23:45So tells you that he is the Patriots go to receiver.
23:48He really has been for weeks, but I feel like we're just getting more and more evidence
23:52of that.
23:53Now I think there was like one play that he paid.
23:55Oh no.
23:56There was the, the deep ball where he, that's the one thing he and Drake may have struggled
24:00to connect on the past, the past couple of weeks.
24:02That's maybe the one great, but yeah, I mean, he's got the slant route.
24:05There was another catch that he made on a bootleg where Drake kind of threw behind him.
24:10He made a nice adjustment.
24:11So K Sean booty really finally starting to really emerge as that guy, you've seen the
24:15place here and there, but this was the first time I was like, Oh, it feels like Drake Mays
24:19kind of locking in on him.
24:20I don't mind because he's actually getting open.
24:23So yeah, absolutely.
24:24Give him the credit.
24:25Also thrown some key blocks as well.
24:26He had, he did get called for a whole thing.
24:28That was pretty egregious to be honest on the, on the throw out to Douglas on that.
24:32Yeah, that was, that was a whole, that was, that was a tough.
24:34Yeah.
24:35That was, that was kind of rough, but yes, he has played well overall, which has been
24:37really great to see.
24:38Then looking at the rest of the room.
24:40So with Jalen Polk, the touchdown, I think it was just well executed and it was well
24:45called.
24:46That was actually a look at the Patriots had used last week against the Titans and got
24:49a good run in the red zone with like that motion from Hunter Henry.
24:53We've also shown that the past couple of weeks.
24:54So that was really well-schemed and dialed up.
24:56Great job from Jalen Polk capitalizing to make the actual touchdown grab.
25:00Also one thing about Keyshawn Booty I wanted to bring up, he has six catches in end of
25:03half situations for the Patriots.
25:06Like one was a touchdown.
25:08I think another one was that was like the one where he almost crossed and we're still
25:12not totally sure that he wasn't in.
25:14And when he's in open field, he's done a great job finding the ref.
25:16So I want to give him credit for his situational awareness as well.
25:19Yeah.
25:20Going back to the other receivers.
25:23So I don't know if they trust Jalen Polk fully to be like the guy.
25:26I think he was mostly in two receiver sets.
25:28It looked like then KJ Osborne over Jayvon Baker.
25:32Jayvon Baker also is an ex and that's where Keyshawn Booty's been.
25:35I think that's maybe a reason we haven't seen a ton of him.
25:37I was disappointed.
25:38I wanted to see more, but I mean, I think that they're going to give him more opportunities
25:41as they see more behind the scenes.
25:43So maybe that's just kind of an indictment on that.
25:46And then when it comes to KJ over Kendrick Bourne, who didn't play at all, I don't care
25:50that KJ played over Kendrick for one week.
25:52I don't.
25:53They're both veterans.
25:55I think Polk, like I said, has not been reliable enough.
25:57So Kendrick Bourne has been really the number two receiver with Demario Douglas obviously
26:01being the slot receiver in three receiver sets.
26:04So I don't really care.
26:06I think that Kendrick Bourne made three at least glaring mistakes against the Titans
26:10and acknowledged them.
26:11He told us, yeah, I should have gotten more depth on the curl on third down.
26:14He also did that again on a play where he wasn't targeted.
26:17And then on the scramble touchdown that May threw, he said, yeah, I probably should have
26:21been running around more.
26:22And I said, it's kind of weird for your veteran receiver to be making those kinds of mistakes.
26:25Now, Kendrick Bourne or KJ Osborne hasn't been much better.
26:28He had the touchdown against the Jaguars, obviously, but really all he had to do was
26:31catch it.
26:33He got called for stepping out of bounds this week on a ridiculous throw from Drake May,
26:37by the way.
26:38That was one of the best throws we've seen from him in his career so far, little Josh
26:41Allen there.
26:42Yeah.
26:43I thought he was throwing it away.
26:44And then he squeezes in right on the sideline, right in his hip pocket.
26:47I started to look away so I could type a tweet out and then was like, wait a minute.
26:51Did you actually catch that?
26:53That was wild.
26:54But yeah, I think that Kendrick Bourne needs to be better.
26:57He was more productive last week, but again, the overall result wasn't great.
27:01Now, KJ Osborne, also, you put him out there.
27:04We assumed he would be traded after this week and once he can actually pick his team.
27:08So that was an interesting decision, but really it just tells me that Kendrick Bourne wasn't
27:12doing enough.
27:13And again, we heard that the offense wasn't quite doing enough this week and start to
27:17do the math.
27:18And I'm not reporting anything.
27:19I'm not saying anything definitively, but if that's the case and one guy in the receiver
27:23room gets zero snaps, that doesn't really feel like a coincidence.
27:27Yeah.
27:28I don't disagree.
27:29I think circumstantially with, again, the contract situations and where KJ was heading
27:34into the trade deadline, it's just kind of odd, but you're right.
27:37You read the tea leaves and you see where this thing went, where, like you said, one
27:40healthy active receiver doesn't get any snaps.
27:43It tells me that clearly something, not something happened in practice, like something he's
27:47just not playing well.
27:48Like that's what it is.
27:49Last week, week of practice, not playing great.
27:52It's KJ Osborne.
27:53We just talked about it.
27:54It has been a really good pro and I'm sure he probably continues to be a really good
27:58pro.
27:59He takes these guys along.
28:00He takes them under their wing.
28:01He comes in.
28:02He plays.
28:03Okay.
28:04Today, I guess.
28:05I mean, he could have got tried to get his feet in on that, on that sideline throw.
28:07But yeah.
28:08So no Kendrick Bourne today.
28:09So we'll see how that goes as the year goes on.
28:11All right.
28:12Let's go to the leftover.
28:13All right.
28:14You know what?
28:15Let's talk about the run game for us.
28:16A Patriots run game also gets their identity back.
28:18I would say a little bit today, Taylor, 35 carries for 144 yards.
28:23They average 4.1 yards a carry Ramond race has 3.7 yards a carry on the day.
28:28A couple of explosive runs from Antonio Gibson as well.
28:32Four carries for 26 yards.
28:33The average is 5.2 on the day.
28:35And then Drake may only has four carries for 24 yards, which the long of 19, which are
28:41solid.
28:42So it pulls back the running a little bit today, but they go for 19.
28:45And what did you make of the run game?
28:47What did you make of the offensive line in front of them today as a whole as well?
28:49We saw their eighth combination in 10 games.
28:52They keep Mike on what I do at right guard.
28:54They put Michael Jordan at left guard.
28:56What did you make of that whole group today in Chicago?
28:59It looks better.
29:00Antonio Gibson finally got going.
29:01He had one.
29:02It was only one drive, but he averaged 5.2 yards per carry.
29:05It was a major reason they scored it all on that drive.
29:08And then to remind Ray Stevenson also had some really good carries, but the offense
29:11on his back at times, and it looked like they were actually getting really good push.
29:15Now we knew this was not the most out bears front, especially on the interior.
29:19So not going to act like I'm surprised.
29:20We did say that this was probably going to be the game or the opportunity rather for
29:24the run game to get some momentum going to have a much tougher task next week against
29:27Braden Fisk.
29:28You know, Jared first, like, you know, take this win and build on it.
29:32Yeah.
29:33Clearly some improvements also needed to be made.
29:34They did get stopped a few times, but I didn't see a whole lot of times that running backs
29:39were getting met in the backfield.
29:40I saw a few, but it wasn't almost every carry like it's been.
29:43So they actually gave their running backs some room to rip off some gains, not a ton
29:47of explosive carries or anything like that, but you made them respect the run.
29:51We even got a play where it was two outside zone runs, then a bootleg.
29:54And it's like, ah, finally, you know, Alex Van Pelt said we need, we're going to run
29:58the ball or run play action.
30:00If we earn it by running the ball, well, we actually saw that it felt like I'm not positive.
30:04It just felt live.
30:05Like we were seeing more play action, especially under center from Drake may at least more
30:08than we have recently.
30:09So that was awesome to see, especially when it was both running backs, which Michael hasty
30:13had a couple of nice games.
30:14There was one where I felt like he, sometimes he just moves his feet too much and he just
30:20doesn't really commit because he is kind of a smaller back and sometimes I'll try to bounce
30:23when he should really just put his head down and go inside.
30:25But for the most part, I don't have a lot of complaints about the run game can definitely,
30:30definitely be better, but a good step in the right direction after it looked like they
30:33couldn't get anything going the past few weeks.
30:36Yep.
30:37So that's our quest.
30:38As I questioned earlier, kind of flipping it back to the bears for a second before we
30:41take our next break, according to Matt Eber Flus, the bears are looking at everything
30:46in terms of offensive coordinator.
30:48So whether that means firing Waldron, though, that means take away his play calling duties
30:52and just letting them design it.
30:54Something's got to change in Chicago because again, they only score three points, no touchdowns
30:59in three straight weeks and three straight losses for Chicago.
31:03So the Patriots get themselves back on track 19 to three defense allows three points.
31:08Offense scores 19.
31:09We're going to get to the rest of the show.
31:11Some leftovers.
31:12I want to talk about the Patriots play calling and some of the end of half execution as well,
31:18because that has been the Patriots Achilles heel this season, but they kind of turned
31:21it around today against Chicago.
31:22So I want to get to that.
31:23But first, quick word from our friends at game time, game time, you could have got into
31:28soldier field for like 200 bucks a day.
31:30If you didn't have no fear, you can get in to Gillette stadium next Sunday, right now
31:36on the game time at Patriots at Rams four.
31:39Please give me a second.

31:45And you can join in on the fun at Gillette stadium for as little as $78 on the game time
31:50app.
31:51Game time also has a new feature called game time picks that makes getting tickets to see
31:55your favorite teams play live even easier.
31:58It filters out the fluff and shows you only incredible deals on great seats, so you don't
32:02have to waste time searching through thousands of tickets.

32:46What time is it Taylor game time?
32:49It sure is game time.
32:50It's also time to, uh, I don't want to say wrap it up.
32:53We'll go for a little while longer, but I want to get to some leftovers and it's the
32:56end of half execution.
32:58First and foremost, uh, Patriots get the ball or I forget what the order was, but there
33:03was, there was a, the bears had the ball.
33:07And what the Patriots have done in these end of half execution situations is it's like
33:13either go score, but make sure you run the clock out.
33:16Don't punt either, either let the clock run out or score.
33:21And the bears had that opportunity today and they punted it right back to the Patriots
33:24and the Patriots shoved it right in their face where they get three, four plays.
33:28He, uh, we talk about that.
33:29Gotta have a situation.
33:30May hits Keisha on booty across the middle.
33:32Patriots kick the field goal and take it into the half up 13 to three.
33:35So a big turnaround there, uh, which I thought was impressive.
33:39And then the play calling as well.
33:41They got in, got involved with a lot more play action.
33:43And we also saw some of that trickery that we thought we would see all season from Alex
33:48van Pelt.
33:49I think it was, we had a little side wager, me and you in week one over under how many
33:53trick plays the Patriots Patriots would run against Cincinnati.
33:57And Hey, that's, that's probably the first time in a long time that I got on.
34:00I won an argument or was on the good side against Taylor, but I was right on that one.
34:05They only ran, I think maybe one or it was over a half a trick play or whatever it was.
34:09They haven't been doing it this season.
34:11They've kind of been vanilla with the offense, but Alex van Pelt takes a couple out of the
34:15bag of tricks today.
34:16He obviously, uh, they had like this fake sweet throwback to pop, which I really liked.
34:21Uh, and then they also had that double throwback, which it looked like Drake was trying to take
34:24a shot, but he ends up hitting the running back in the flat and he's still, I think he
34:27got a first down.
34:28So, uh, questions, I'll kind of leave it up out in the open, but what'd you make of Alex
34:32van Pelt?
34:33What seemed like improved play calling today, as well as a fix finally in that end of half
34:38situation.
34:39Yeah.
34:40I just think it's incredible what happens when players execute, like when you have a
34:44run game and when the two minute drive happens and guys make catches and block well, and
34:49you know, do their jobs and get that third in one conversion because they actually, actually
34:53they almost blew, I think an assignment Mike and when you made up for it and got just enough
34:57room for Andre Stevenson to convert.
34:59So that's my biggest thing, to be honest, like we'll get the play calling.
35:02I'm like, yes, this is what the offense would look like if they actually had the ability
35:06to run the ball and build things.
35:08Because if you can't run the ball, it's very difficult to build things off of just a passing
35:12attack because the defense knows it's coming.
35:15They can swarm and attack your offensive line that have to worry about the run.
35:19The coverage has an advantage.
35:20You can get into the things that they're comfortable with.
35:22Maybe you can throw off your quarterback.
35:23So yeah, I mean, that's really my biggest takeaway is when they execute well, the offensive
35:27coordinators and the defense coordinators look a whole hell of a lot better.
35:30You know, they're not crazy.
35:31We're not talking about, you know, we're not talking about Mike McDonald and Kyle Shanahan
35:35over here necessarily, but fundamentally they looked better.
35:39There were some offensive mistakes, you know, the penalties against Mike and when you went
35:42to Monterey, Jacobs were pretty costly.
35:44And again, Keishon booty had one as well.
35:46And that put them backwards.
35:47And that was why they stalled.
35:48And we can't pretend also there weren't times where the offense, especially the second half
35:51could not get anything going, but when they were able to lean on their ground game and
35:55open things up and took some pressure off of Drake may so he didn't have to be the hero
35:59once again.
35:59So yeah, it's just it's really nice.
36:01And I think we see that they have competent coaching may not be elite necessarily, but
36:05we know what the situation is with this team.
36:07It's good when the players do their jobs and that makes it a lot easier on the coach.
36:11I was, I was talking to my buddy about this during the game, how like everyone's complaining
36:16about this Patriots coached staff right now.
36:17And you know, it hasn't been great today.
36:19Today they really wrapped it up and played three phases and looked pretty solid.
36:22But when you looked across the sideline today, Matt Eber flutes has done this before and
36:27Shane Waldron has done this before and their coaching was so much worse than the Patriots
36:32today.
36:32Like Dan Pelt called a much better game than Waldron Mayo handled pretty much everything
36:37better than Eber flutes did.
36:38Like Eber flutes has had a bad season.
36:41They're four and five.
36:41Waldron hasn't been great, but like it goes to show that it could be a lot worse here
36:46where you are with the Patriots.
36:47And yes, it hasn't been, um, you know, all rainbows and butterflies all season long,
36:51but maybe give it a little time because you could be the Chicago bears instead of the
36:55New England Patriots.
36:56I don't also, did you see, uh, how did you see Jeremy Springer's reaction to Brendan
37:00school or sack?
37:01No, he was pumped up on the sideline for him.
37:04It was, it was awesome.
37:05That was pretty cool to see.
37:06Uh, another coach who has been, uh, pretty solid for them is Jeremy Springer on that
37:10special team side.
37:11Uh, a couple more leftovers.
37:13Just thinking Marcus Jones has a solid game.
37:15Again, as a punt runner punt returner three for 45, a couple long ones, long of 24, Joey
37:21slide goes four for four kicking field goals, one for one on extra points.
37:25Um, and I would say Bryce was back and forth in the punt game and I didn't think Tory Taylor
37:30for the bears was great either.
37:32Um, but any, any special teams thoughts, any sort of wrap up, uh, before, well, actually
37:37before I actually, that we have a couple of quotes from Patriots postgame, Jalen Polk
37:41talking about Drake may cause him a 10 out of 10 public speaker, uh, said his midweek
37:46speech was much needed.
37:48He on white speaking, uh, or this is from Evan Lazar.
37:51I don't know if you're speaking directly to him or if he's at the podium, but he told
37:54the media that there is not a guard in the league who can block him one-on-one and Kendrick
37:59Warren, uh, on, or Gerard Mayo on why Kendrick Ford didn't play.
38:02There was a lot that went into it.
38:03We thought that that was the best thing to do to give us the best chance to win.
38:06So a little bit of Belichick speak there.
38:08Uh, but that's some of the, uh, sound and quotes coming out of the Patriots locker room
38:13as they win this one, 19 to three.
38:15So Taylor, any final thoughts before we get out of here?
38:18Um, usually we can go now grant that it's a three person show, so it's a little bit
38:22longer.
38:22We can go back and forth, but really not a lot of like negative and sort of argumentative
38:27things to take out of this game.
38:28It's not like, was Drake may agree.
38:29Was he not like, it's, it was pretty straightforward.
38:32May played.
38:32Okay.
38:33The defense wreaked havoc, Kayla Williams, offensive line play, call and coaching situation
38:38stinks.
38:39And that's why they lose 19 through to the Patriots.
38:41But any final thoughts, uh, special teams wise or anything else before we get out of
38:44here?
38:45Oh, I will say if anybody's got questions, throw them in the comments so we can like
38:48get to make sure we cover everything.
38:50Uh, special teams, honestly, the coverage needs to be more consistent.
38:54This is like, it feels like the third, maybe fourth week in a row.
38:57The Patriots have allowed some kind of big return.
39:00Now we had some solid returns from Marcus Jones as well.
39:02Um, Bryce Behringer, another week where he had a pretty bad touchback.
39:06The second one, first I was annoyed, but I was like, you know what?
39:08He actually did flip the field.
39:10So I really can't be that bad when you start on one side and then end up at the 20.
39:13So that one, I'll give him a pass for, but I do wish there was more consistency, um,
39:18in the special teams department, but you know, I feel like they got it together as the game
39:21went on.
39:22So credit to them for that, but just more consistency out of that side of the ball for
39:25sure.
39:26And also Isaiah Bolden, like, what the hell, man?
39:28Put him out there.
39:29Come on, please.
39:30Please.
39:31You put him out there in warmups, right?
39:33Yeah.
39:33And also Marcelo's style.
39:34The fact that he's out, uh, he, uh, I think it was a concussion.
39:37Concussion.
39:38Yeah.
39:38It was a head injury.
39:39I assume that's concussion.
39:41Yeah.
39:41So, uh, and then Isaiah Bolden looked like he took his spot.
39:43So we'll see how, uh, how he was able to replace also how much of the fact that Christian
39:47Ellis and Rayquan McMillan, two court special teamers weren't in the game.
39:51We'll see if that affected the return team there, but, uh, yeah, still some work to do
39:54in, uh, in that area for new England top two on, uh, you, you let, uh, you let Rayquan
39:59McMillan go and Taki Taki goes out with the hamstring injury too.
40:02So we'll see where, uh, where injuries are after this week, maybe Kyle Dugger can come
40:06back, give them some help in the box against the run.
40:09Um, things of that nature, looking at, uh, the chat to try and see if how we can wrap
40:13this up.
40:13Uh, any thoughts on Jaheim Bell today?
40:16Uh, if he'll get any more playing time, getting a lot of height, um, what is this?
40:20A lot of spectrum.
40:20Oh yeah.
40:21Hunter Henry talked about Bob Bicknell.
40:23Uh, the tight ends coach talked to him up as well, said that he has taken a lot of strides,
40:26um, through, uh, since the beginning of the season, excuse me.
40:31Yeah.
40:31I mean, uh, he had a one really good block.
40:33I think it was honestly his best play as an offensive player.
40:37Yeah.
40:37Yeah.
40:37And he set the edge really well there.
40:38So credit to him.
40:40Um, I think he will, if he keeps practicing well, but I, it still looks like he has a
40:44pretty small role in the offense.
40:46I'm sure he's still learning behind the scenes, but I mean, that's really all we know.
40:49I can't extrapolate a whole lot.
40:50Hopefully at some point we see like a nice slide route for him so he can catch the ball
40:54and make some plays in space.
40:56Yeah.
40:56Uh, I would like to see Patriots really need to address.
40:59I actually do want to notice or mention red zone one for five.
41:04That ain't going to cut it.
41:05Five for the red zone.
41:06This should have been an absolute blowout.
41:08Yeah.
41:09Obviously, you know, I got to go back in the tape and see what, what exactly threw them
41:12off so often, but yeah, I know there was like a third down run.
41:15They couldn't convert on like 32 or something.
41:17So got to, got to be better in the red zone and area where according to the broadcast
41:21team, the Patriots were actually like the best offense in the league with Drake may
41:25as a starter.
41:26And if you go back to college, you can see the Drake may just like flips a switch in
41:29the red zone where between the arm town, the mobility, he's really tough to contend with.
41:33Um, so that's another area I'd like to see improve for the pats, but Hey, they held the
41:37bears to one for 14 on third downs, two for four on fourth down Oprah one in the red zone,
41:43just a dominant performance from those guys.
41:46I'll just say it.
41:47They kicked the bear's ass.
41:49They're real beat down.
41:50Yeah.
41:50Fun stuff.
41:51Uh, Oh, this is a nice comment.
41:52Taylor.
41:53This guy loves watching us always enjoy watching these.
41:56Thanks.
41:56Wren.
41:57We appreciate the kind words.
41:59Um, I say we just keep that on and just talk about, you know, anything else just trying
42:05to see if there's any other stats or anything from players I've really mentioned.
42:10Austin Hooper, a couple of big plays from him.
42:12How about that?
42:13Huh?
42:13Austin Hooper, their leading receiver.
42:15Actually.
42:15Uh, I tweeted it.
42:16Where were you for the Austin Hooper game in a Patriots uniform?
42:19Uh, three catches, 64 yards.
42:21Drake may put it right on Kyler Gordon's head.
42:24Uh, Austin Hooper went up and got it on that long throw.
42:27I also had the one closer to the red zone across the middle too.
42:30So yeah, good game for Austin Hooper.
42:31You're thinking we talked about it in pregame.
42:34Uh, four tight ends come in.
42:36Jaheim Bell seemingly getting a bigger role.
42:39Mitchell Wilcox comes in.
42:41That would tell me that, oh, Austin Hooper's role is going to get diminished a little bit.
42:44And you know, Hunter Henry's obviously the guy, but you're going to try and rotate other
42:47people in at tight end too.
42:48Not so fast.
42:49Austin Hooper, Austin Hooper comes in with three catches for 64 yards, uh, three on four
42:55targets as well.
42:55So good for him.
42:56Um, let's see.
42:58What else can we, uh, what else can we hit on Taylor?
43:02Anything good?
43:02I'm kind of, I mean, it's easy when it's a win, right?
43:10You win a football game, you go to Chicago.
43:12There's nothing to, there's not much post-mortem.
43:14We'll have a ton of coverage on the channel.
43:16Uh, as the week goes on, we'll have some, uh, some film breakdowns, obviously do our
43:20weekly mailbag, uh, and move forward that way Monday off.
43:23So we're going to try and, uh, bank some coverage out tomorrow about this win, but overall,
43:28uh, successful on all three sides of the football, uh, offense up and down, but they score their
43:3319 points.
43:33Joey Sly kicks four through Drake May throws a touchdown to Jalen Polk Patriots defense.
43:38I've said it a hundred times, but it's the story of the game.
43:41Taylor allows just three points.
43:43They get nine sacks on Caleb Williams pressure up the pressure up the rear.
43:48I'll be nice.
43:49I was going to, I was going to go crazy, but, uh, teachers wise, Jeremiah farms, Keon white
43:54run defense allows just 3.7 yards per carry, uh, some injuries to Marta Mapu, Marcellus
43:59dial and say when I talkie talkie.
44:01So we'll see how those go.
44:03But other than that, the Patriots are three and seven heading into next Sunday against
44:07the LA Rams in Foxborough.
44:10So, uh, Taylor, I guess before we get out of here, how do you expect them to translate
44:15this?
44:16When a good win after we just mentioned, uh, tough week of practice, Drake May speaks,
44:22speaks to the team.
44:23They turn it around.
44:24Defense gets after, uh, the quarterback and all that.
44:26How do you expect them to turn it around next week against the LA Rams?
44:29Well, hopefully Michael Jordan didn't seem like he was a glaring issue this week.
44:33So hopefully they can continue to build on that game, more chemistry, continue to build
44:37on the ground game, need Drake May to cut down on the turnovers.
44:40But obviously the big play is really do give some life to this team.
44:43And then defensively, you got to continue with the run defense because next week you
44:47cannot give the Rams the ability to run the ball and go play action.
44:51They're going to tear you apart.
44:52The only way you can beat them is by making them one dimensional.
44:54And they also have some offensive line problems.
44:56I know some guys are coming back, but they've been out for a while.
44:58So I think this may be another vulnerable offensive line for doing the new attack.
45:03See if they can do it.
45:04Not going to be easy against, uh, Sean McVay.
45:06A similar team where like the bears, they have talent, although there are some pretty
45:09glaring holes, but the coaching is going to be much, much better from LA.
45:13So, uh, you know, good mojo week for the Patriots, where you get some better vibes back in the
45:18back and back in the locker room after a loss, and then try to bring it in, uh, get a win at home.
45:23Do you expect Yannick Ngakwe to play next week and add to this Patriots pass rush?
45:27I think so too.
45:29Yeah.
45:29Um, that should be interesting.
45:31And, uh, the Rams are on a short week as well.
45:32They play Monday night against the Dolphins.
45:35So that may help the Patriots cause on Sunday as well.
45:37So, uh, I believe that's going to do it quick 45 minute or from myself and Taylor
45:42Kyle's here on Patriots post game as the Patriots come out of week 10 with a 19 to
45:47three victory over the Chicago bears.
45:48They get to three and seven heading in to week 11, uh, number three, overall pick takes down
45:55the number one, overall pick and Drake may and Kayla Williams, Kayla Williams.
45:58Stop me.
45:59If you heard this before sacks nine times by the Patriots today, they got all over him
46:03on Sunday and the Patriots.
46:04Now, like I said, three and seven heading into next week versus the Rams.
46:08So that's going to do it for us.
46:09We'll be here all week, breaking down this one and getting you ready for the Rams next
46:13week.
46:13So keep it here on Patriots, press pass rate review, subscribe to the channel.
