00:00Hi there, following a brighter day on Monday compared with what many of us experienced
00:05last week, we'll see clear spells continuing overnight and that will inevitably lead in
00:10some places to frost and fog patches. High pressure firmly in control but this is a less
00:16gloomy area of high pressure, less extensive low cloud. Nevertheless, with clear spells
00:21in the forecast, temperatures are likely to fall away after dark and that will lead to
00:27some fog, especially in Northern Ireland, Central and Southern Scotland, parts of North
00:31West England into the West Midlands. I suspect the East and the South will be a bit too breezy
00:36for frost and fog to form but elsewhere under clear spells with light winds, temperatures
00:43will dip to a couple of degrees either side of freezing. So chilly start to the day and
00:48watch out for any dense fog patches first thing. I think that where we do see fog form
00:53it will take some time to clear so could last into the afternoon in one or two spots.
00:58That's going to make it feel particularly chilly. But elsewhere, a bright and dry day
01:02for many, increasingly cloudy through the Midlands, East Anglia and the South East.
01:07A few showers coming in on a brisk breeze for East Anglia and Kent, for example. 10
01:12to 12 Celsius in the South, 9 to 10 further North, lower than that where we do get some
01:18stubborn fog patches continuing into the afternoon. Then into Tuesday evening, showers
01:24continuing across East Anglia and the South East for a time and we've still got that breeze
01:29and some areas of cloud. We've also got cloud encroaching upon the North West of Scotland
01:34with some patchy rain. In between, lighter winds, clear spells and once again frost and
01:39fog patches forming by dawn. We've got this central slice across the UK on Wednesday morning
01:46where we'll see some bright sunshine first thing. Cloudier further South and further
01:51North across Scotland and increasingly Northern Ireland, that cloud coming South with some
01:56patchy rain on it. A little milder in the North of Scotland but elsewhere we'll see
02:01temperatures of 9 to 12 Celsius typically. High pressure stays in charge for the end
02:07of the week but eventually we'll see low pressure move weather front southwards and through
02:14Friday night and Saturday that's going to bring a significant change to colder weather
02:19from the North. We'll keep you updated right here on all of that at the Met Office. Bye
02:24bye.
