00:00Senate President Francis Escudero raised a concern regarding the BARMM election code and the IRR.
00:06The Senate leader pointed out that under the provision, appointed officials who filed their certificates of candidacy are considered resigned from office.
00:14Now, 35 members of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority have each filed a COC with only 5 yet to do so.
00:21The senator already raised this concern to President Ferdinand R. Marcus Jr.
00:27It means that 35 out of 40 are ipso facto deemed resigned for filing their certificates of candidacy.
00:39First of all, I believe that there will be a fair and clean election.
00:45This is why I asked President Ferdinand R. Marcus Jr. to raise this issue.
