00:00I think the first thing that I want to ask you this first, because this was the one thing
00:08that I've been thinking about here in November with college football, there was so many people
00:12that tried to tell me that the regular season in college football is not going to mean as
00:18much anymore, going from four teams to 12 teams, that it's not going to be not going
00:23to be as exciting in November, there's going to be, Bill, they couldn't be more wrong.
00:28Because there are so many more games that years ago, we would have never been highlighting
00:35or looking forward to or saying mean a lot than we do now.
00:39Because with three weeks to go, Bill, this thing is all over the place with this committee
00:44and what the 12 teams that are going to get in specifically in the SEC.
00:48Right.
00:49And the Power Four is like four separate NFLs, basically.
00:53When you look at the tiebreaker scenarios, and you sort all that out, at least the NFL,
00:57there's just two AFC, NFC, you figure it out.
01:00Now, when you dig in to the SEC tiebreaker scenarios, you come up with a couple conclusions.
01:06If Texas beats Texas A&M takes care of business against Kentucky this weekend, which I think
01:11they will, the Longhorns will have one spot.
01:14If you have this multi team tiebreaker, it could work its way down to a tiebreaker, which
01:20would be the combined winning percentage of their conference opponents.
01:25And right now, of those two lost teams, the one that has one that's 500 or better, is
01:31that who?
01:32Alabama, of course.
01:33So for all this posturing and trying to figure out all these doomsday scenarios, we're probably
01:39going to end up with Texas and Alabama if those two teams take care of their business
01:42the next two weeks.
01:44Yeah.
01:45And I was saying in the break before, that LSU doomsday scenario that was out there last
01:50week was pretty wild, because on paper, Bill, it kind of looked plausible when you first
01:57looked at it.
01:58And you went, all right, you know, it's a favored team.
02:00But as we've kind of gone to learn this year, especially even in the SEC, the whole favored
02:05team to win definitely is not how this year is going, especially in that league.
02:11What did you think of where the committee put the SEC teams last week?
02:16And how much do you think they'll switch it up this week?
02:19I think they purposely left Georgia as the last team out, because they knew they beat
02:24Tennessee this week.
02:25They're going to rifle them right back up a little bit higher in the rankings.
02:29What did you think of where they kind of have those teams in the pecking order right now?
02:33I think they honor head to head all the time.
02:35That's something to keep in mind as we get in.
02:37Now, I say this, and I'm going to sound like a hypocrite in about five seconds, but—
02:40Alabama, Alabama, Tennessee.
02:41There it is.
02:42You stole it from me.
02:43I was going to get there.
02:44So I'll get there first.
02:45I'll say they're going to honor Alabama beating Georgia before they honor Tennessee
02:52beating Alabama.
02:54And I think they'll move Georgia in tomorrow night.
02:57And I think they'll move Tennessee out, which is going to cause Tennessee fans to
03:02lash out.
03:03And I think they're going to find, if they can't lash out within their own conference,
03:06they're going to find the next closest thing.
03:07And the next two closest things are going to be Indiana, if the Hoosiers lose by a bunch
03:13of points in Columbus this weekend, and Notre Dame, who is attaching their—Notre Dame's
03:18playing really well, by the way, but they lost to Northern Illinois, and their two most
03:23impressive victories might end up being Navy and Army, if they take care of the Army game
03:27this weekend.
03:28So I think that's where Tennessee fans are going to try to go, because the way the playoff
03:32picture is set up, you're probably going to end up with four Big Ten teams and four SEC
03:37teams.
03:38They're going to need Indiana to lose by a lot for the committee to consider knocking
03:42them out with one loss in Big Ten play.
