00:47Yeah. Um, I have to tell you, uh, Blake Shelton was just over here and I said,

00:50are you, I don't like him. And I didn't, he used to, you know,

00:53he used to not do these remotes cause he thought he was bigger than doing the

00:57remotes.

00:58So I was happy when he would do that and I didn't have to act like I wanted to

01:02visit with him.

01:03There you go. I knew I'd stirred the pot a little bit if I brought him up,

01:06but I said, are you excited to watch your friend Luke host? He said, no.

01:09Well, like I said,

01:10I'm not excited to act like I want to walk across the room and visit with him.

01:15You too. Okay. Let's talk about hosting for real though. So you Peyton Laney,

01:19have you guys been to rehearsals yet?

01:21We have not been to rehearsals. We rehearse via zoom.

01:25Oh, how was that?

01:26It's free. You do it. It works. It works. Um,

01:29and Peyton gets in and then we'll start getting on stage here pretty soon.

01:33But, uh, we've ran it a couple of times via zoom and, um,

01:38it's got us laughing. We're sure the people are home. We're going to laugh too.

01:41They're going to love it. Um, any funny jokes, anything you're nervous about?

01:45Uh, I'm not really nervous about anything. The main thing is, uh,

01:49just how will I look?

01:51You will look great as always. Yeah. That's what we're always worried about.

01:54That's what I'm most nervous about.

01:56You are also right now in early stages of filming for the next season of Idol

01:59with Carrie and Lionel, right? Am I wrong?

02:01I thought you were going to say early stages of dementia.

02:04Well, we all know that. We just don't bring it up in front of you.

02:13No, we're, we, yeah, we're doing, uh, uh,

02:15auditions on Idol and Carrie's doing great. And, uh,

02:19she's not request for my removal from the show yet.

02:23Which is nice. And, uh, yeah, no HR, no HR flags or anything.

02:29I was going to say, what's the dynamic been like with the three of you?

02:31It's good. I mean, I, you know, she's had to learn a lot on the fly. I mean,

02:35it's a lot to process from dealing with kids, how to, you know,

02:38she's doing great. And, um, uh, you know, what I've learned from her,

02:42she's just got the best heart in the world.

02:45And when she talks to these kids, it's hard when they,

02:49when you got to tell them no. And, and she's, uh, she's learning,

02:52you just got to say no, but, uh, she's doing great.

02:55That's amazing. Talk to me about the new single.

02:58Oh, it's, I love it. It's certainly a throwback kind of honky tonk vibe.

03:03And, um, it's, uh,

03:05maybe it's probably my first kind of diving into that. And, uh,

03:10really, really, um,

03:12love that I've got like a kind of old classic honky tonk song out there.
