00:00For over 30 years, Merck has been committed to research in the field of multiple sclerosis
00:10with the need and desire to develop more and more effective and safe drugs for patients.
00:17But in addition to this, in recent years there has been a need to create innovative and technological solutions
00:27that can help doctors understand the evolution of the disease of their patients on a daily basis.
00:35For this reason, this year we have reached the 6th edition of the Merck Digital and Technological Innovation Award
00:43aimed at aiming to find projects that can solve this problem of being able to monitor patients constantly.
00:54We know that multiple sclerosis is a disease that evolves mainly with so-called silent symptoms
01:03but in reality very often these silent symptoms are not detected by the clinic because they are subtle
01:09and there is no adequate technology to be able to monitor these aspects.
01:15Thanks to today's technological and digital innovations, thanks to artificial intelligence
01:21we are really able to provide the clinic with information that can have an immediate mirror
01:27of what is the state of evolution of a patient's disease.
