00:00The U.S. Congress has approved the joint patrol of the Philippine and American soldiers in the South China Sea.
00:07The U.S. House Representative Resolution No. 837 adopted by U.S. Congressman James Moylan in 2023 was approved on November 20.
00:17The resolution also included the signing of the China-South China Sea Treaty,
00:21as well as the call for Beijing to stop aggressive and violent action against Philippine ships.
00:28Washington, D.C. also strengthened their commitment under the Mutual Defense Treaty
00:34when Philippine ships are attacked together with the Philippine Coast Guard in the South China Sea.
00:39U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin was the first to visit the country
00:43to strengthen the alliance between the Philippines and the United States.
