00:19Good day everyone and I am here now in Marikina City at the PCCI Activity Center for the Siberian

00:35Husky Exhibitors and Breeders Association of the Philippines Specialty and All Breed Shows.

00:42Purebred dog shows are among the oldest sports, yet they remain unfamiliar to many.

00:48This is likely due to the common misconception that these events involve dressing up dogs in

00:54clothes for a fashion show. In reality, confirmation dog shows are highly structured competitions

01:01that follow strict rules and standards set by two major canine organizations,

01:06the American Kennel Club and the FCI. Each dog breed is then evaluated against a specific

01:13standard that reflects its original purpose and development.

01:43For example, the Pomeranian, like other breeds, adheres to criteria that highlight its unique

02:11traits, history, and functions. In the Philippines, all dog competitions are governed

02:19by a main organization called the PCCI or the Philippine Canine Club. In this particular dog

02:27show, I will be judging Siberian Huskies as this was my last requirement for me to get my Group 5

02:34license. It's also nice of you guys to be able to join me in my journey as this is something

02:49that really defines me. I have been involved in the purebred dog sport since I was a little kid,
