00:00ADN Kronos Q&A, the speed of artificial intelligence changes the world of work.
00:28A2A, presented in Milan, Strategic Plan Update 2024-2025.
00:35University of Milan Bicocca inaugurates the academic year 2024-2025
00:39and cuts the ribbon of the renewed Plaza della Scienza.
00:43With the Direct, awarded the awards of Friends of the Earth,
00:46farmers, protagonists of history of innovation and resilience,
00:50that unite territory, social inclusion and sustainability.
00:54PPL, Sesto Rapporto Intesa San Paolo Astra,
00:58the performance of local public transport companies
01:01to continue to invest and attract demand for mobility,
01:04needs a stable context.
01:06Terno is the University of the Studies of Salerno,
01:09launching the third edition of the Master
01:11in Digitalization of the Electric System for the Energy Transition.
01:15Agrofarmaci Agrofarma, in Italy 99.5%
01:20Residual samples under the limits of law.
01:23Circular Economy, Aluminum Recycling and Precious Italian Resource.
01:28Group BCC Icrea launches the campaign on provisional needs,
01:33insurance and investment.
01:36Ecomondo, Strategic Matters, the need for a circular approach
01:40for their recovery.
01:41The new system designed by BTT is a world excellence.
01:51From the new trends of tech,
01:53to the doubts born with increasingly marked applications
01:56of artificial intelligence,
01:58the digital transformation travels fast.
02:01The changes that it brings with it reflect on the world of work,
02:04change the supply and generate the need for new skills.
02:08We talked about it during the new appointment
02:10ADN Kronos Question and Answer entitled
02:13Digital Transformation Inside AI,
02:16at the Palazzo dell'Informazione in Rome.
02:18I see many opportunities,
02:21because certainly the speed of the processes of construction,
02:25for example, of internet sites or digital information,
02:30is quite evident in the eyes of everyone.
02:32Clearly, this within what I believe is the anthropocentric approach,
02:37that is, human control, the so-called seen is printed first.
02:40For companies, one of the most important challenges
02:42is called speed, a fundamental tool
02:45to intercept the digital transformation
02:47and favor corporate investment.
02:49So, in order to ensure that the data can be well protected,
02:53there is certainly also the computational capacity necessary
02:56to be able to develop the algorithms
02:58that then allow correct predictive analysis.
03:02Then, as far as human resources are concerned,
03:04then the talents, the people with the skills
03:07who know how to manage this new technology.
03:10Finally, companies must work to review all the governance
03:13in order to be able to intercept this speed
03:15in the best possible way.
03:17Artificial intelligence offers a series of opportunities,
03:20but it is not without risks.
03:21The risk, especially in the world of companies, but not only,
03:25we also see it in the world of education,
03:27of training at the university,
03:29we also see it in the world of medicine,
03:32of public health,
03:33is to lose sight of who is behind it.
03:37In this case, the client, the supplier,
03:40the other company, the people.
03:41It is not a desired risk,
03:43it is a risk that, unfortunately,
03:47is present as a so-called side effect,
03:50that is, as a secondary effect of something good.
03:54Having a lot of data means having more information,
03:57working with data intelligently,
03:58through artificial intelligence,
04:00automating where possible,
04:02means being more effective, more efficient,
04:06but it also sometimes means taking the risk
04:07of no longer knowing who is behind these data.
04:11To keep up with the digital transformation,
04:13training is essential.
04:15So, training is important,
04:17training, both the specific technique
04:20and for that, as an agency,
04:21we have contacts with universities, with ITS,
04:24where we organize specific courses,
04:27we have a continuous dialogue of effective partnerships
04:31to make certain training processes faster and more effective.
04:35What is A2A?
04:39To combine decarbonization and competitiveness,
04:42keeping the centrality on the two pillars
04:45of the energy transition and the circular economy.
04:48It is the synthesis of the strategy
04:49on which the update of the A2A strategic plan 2024-2035
04:55presented in Milan is based,
04:57which maintains the industrial growth goals of the Group,
05:00defined in the plan for March 2024.
05:03The strongly positive performance of the Group
05:05in the first four years of the industrial plan launched in 2021,
05:09during which 8 billion investments were seen,
05:12led to a closure of 2024
05:15with over 800 million euros in net use
05:18and 2.3 billion in EBITDA.
05:20This gives us the economic and technical energies
05:24to be able to move forward in the plan,
05:26which has 2035 and 22 billion investments,
05:29divided into the usual two pillars,
05:31the energy transition and the circular economy.
05:34We are also talking about Draghi's report,
05:37which says that in order to increase Europe's competitiveness,
05:40we need to invest to solve two major weaknesses.
05:44One is energy autonomy,
05:46precisely because our own sources are water,
05:49wind, sun and waste,
05:51and therefore we must use them as best we can.
05:54In Italy, we have estimated that we can go up
05:56from 22-23% energy autonomy to 58-59%,
06:01using renewables.
06:04On the other hand, the issue of raw materials.
06:06Just think about the issue of batteries,
06:07which evidently we do not have raw materials in Europe
06:10to build them.
06:12But Europe has learned, for example,
06:14with steel and paper,
06:15to become a great producer with recycling,
06:17without fundamentally having raw materials in the basement,
06:21but recycling them.
06:22Likewise, it can be done with batteries,
06:24where the European Community expects that by 2050,
06:28more than 80% of raw materials for new batteries
06:31will have to come from recycling,
06:32such as paloenickel, cobalt, lithium.
06:35And so the group continues to be a leader in the circular economy
06:38and we have a whole series of projects
06:41to increase the treatment of waste in these sectors,
06:45and also strongly in the sector of land and waste,
06:49which is what directly returns us secondary matter
06:53in order to be able to work.
06:55At the next shareholders' meeting,
06:57A2A will propose a plan of widespread shareholding
07:00in favor of more than 13,000 employees of the group.
07:04How is this operation done?
07:05It is done with the company that buys its own shares
07:07and then provides these shares to the employees for free,
07:11so that everyone becomes a shareholder.
07:14Then the shareholders, the employees,
07:18will be able to invest their resources
07:21in shares that will have rewards,
07:24among other things, rewards, let's say,
07:26inversely proportional to the corporate role.
07:29So the more important the corporate role is,
07:31the smaller the reward.
07:33And this is very important
07:34because on the one hand we certainly obtain
07:37a greater sense of belonging of our employees,
07:42and on the other hand there is the issue of financial education.
07:46In Italy, as you know,
07:47private savings continue to be important,
07:51but we are not used to investing money,
07:52so it is an operation that can certainly
07:56also bring our colleagues, our employees,
08:00closer to a greater investment capacity
08:02of their private resources.
08:08The University of Milan-Bicocca
08:10inaugurated the academic year 2024-2025
08:13and presented the new Piazza della Scienza
08:15in the heart of the Bicocca Campus,
08:17a project of innovative urban regeneration
08:19that, when the area is greened,
08:20associates research programs ranging from biology
08:23to chemistry, from geology to economics.
08:26The opening of the academic year
08:27and the inauguration of the renewed Piazza della Scienza
08:29were for the director, Gianna Antoni,
08:31the opportunity to assess the importance
08:33of the collaboration between institutions and universities.
08:35If we really want to guarantee a future,
08:38as SEMOGLO would say,
08:39the Nobel Prize in Economics of this year,
08:41of prosperity,
08:42then institutions and universities
08:44must work together to make a change.
08:47And the change derives from making economic growth
08:51sustainable and meaningful
08:53through the two engines
08:55that the university can really harness,
08:58which are the formation of human capital on the one hand
09:00and technological innovation on the other.
09:02And here there is everything,
09:02because if you look at the dozens
09:04of young researchers,
09:06many PNRRs,
09:07they are doctoral students,
09:08appointed researchers,
09:11really wonderful young guys
09:13who have passionately considered
09:15this their laboratory.
09:17So my appeal,
09:18which I am sure will be listened to well,
09:22is to really invest in the Atenei,
09:25invest in the young
09:26and also guarantee
09:27to the more than 12,000 young PNRR researchers
09:31a future not outside our country
09:32but within our country.
09:34The President of the Lombardy Region,
09:36in addition to the Urban Regeneration Advisory Board
09:38of the Municipality of Milan, Giancarlo Tancredi,
09:40also presents the ribbon-cutting to Tilio Fontana.
09:43It is not, as it was well explained
09:45by Professor Gianna Antoni,
09:47only an urban regeneration,
09:50but of a real open-air laboratory
09:52in which data are studied,
09:54data are compared,
09:56we try to find the best solutions
09:58to face sustainability,
10:01to face all the problems
10:03that derive from climate change.
10:05Among the many challenges
10:06that concern the university world,
10:08in particular the Milanese one,
10:09there is that of accommodation for students,
10:11a problem that the Municipal Administration
10:13tries to face
10:14also thanks to the listening
10:15and the collaboration of the Atenei.
10:17The Milanese university system suffers
10:20also from our responsibility,
10:22our thought,
10:23of the lack of accommodation for students
10:26and that is why I recently convened
10:28a table with the Rector and the Board of Directors
10:31to try to work
10:33and to at least partially limit the problem.
10:36The opening ceremony of the academic year
10:38was enriched by the Lectio Magistralis
10:40of Professor Carlos Moreno,
10:42the creator of the concept of city in 15 minutes,
10:44a model of urban development
10:46based on the well-being of the community
10:48and on the right to live
10:49in a more sustainable and inclusive environment for everyone.
10:56It was a day of celebration
10:57that was celebrated at the Palazzo Rospigliosi,
10:59seat of the directors
11:00and theater of the awarding
11:02of the Amica della Terra award.
11:03The initiative,
11:04added this year to its second edition,
11:07saw eight women
11:08in the representation of eight categories
11:10go on stage
11:11to receive an important recognition
11:13by the Minister of Labor Marina Calderone
11:16and the Minister of Agriculture Francesco Lollobrigida.
11:19We certainly have a positive data
11:21that is that of the growth of female employment
11:25in this context,
11:26in the award of women co-directors,
11:29Amica della Terra,
11:30there is a particular attention
11:33to female entrepreneurship
11:35in the agricultural sector.
11:37Entrepreneurship that then intertwines
11:41with many paths
11:43and above all also with the valorization
11:45of traditional productions
11:48with obviously also at the base
11:52a lot of competence
11:53and above all a lot of study.
11:55From yoga among lavender fields
11:57to agrigelateria
11:58that revitalizes a small village
12:00up to the social factory
12:01where foreign workers are welcomed.
12:04In all, eight categories
12:05bear witness to a creativity
12:07and a non-common
12:08workmanship,
12:09obviously applied to agriculture.
12:11On the award table,
12:13eight agricultural entrepreneurs
12:14who, with passion and determination,
12:16are carrying out
12:17virtuous practices
12:19combining tradition and innovation
12:21without neglecting the commitment
12:22for the protection of the environment.
12:24Exceptional women
12:25awarded today for their work,
12:27for the ability often to
12:29reconvert even their own existence
12:31returning to the agricultural world,
12:32committed to technological innovations,
12:35with often unique abilities
12:39to imagine how to carry out
12:41a traditional activity
12:43but imbued with so much quality
12:46that allows to carry out production
12:49and also to open up to a profitability
12:52and an economic growth
12:53for the entire community
12:55in which these women live
12:56and for the entire nation.
12:57The women farmers
12:59constitute an extraordinary community
13:01with almost 200,000 companies
13:03equal to 30%
13:04of Italian agricultural companies.
13:06Among the strengths
13:07is the ability to combine
13:08respect for the environment,
13:09social commitment,
13:10quality of life,
13:12the valorization of typical products,
13:14bravely facing
13:15the challenges of a market
13:17in continuous evolution.
13:18The goal is to promote
13:19agriculture to the female,
13:21to enhance the work of the fields
13:23and to make known a world
13:24in which women are
13:25increasingly central,
13:26renovating the agri-food sector
13:28with creativity and innovative spirit.
13:30We are more than 200,000 women
13:32who work within the agricultural sector.
13:35A third of the agricultural companies
13:37are in fact run by women
13:39and what is our importance?
13:40To give a new vision of agriculture,
13:43to give a new perspective.
13:46We are ultra-graduate,
13:48ultra-trained women
13:49who bring innovation
13:51and tradition
13:52within their companies.
13:57The value of the production
13:59of local public transport companies
14:01grew by 4.4% in 2023.
14:04Investment flows increased,
14:06but the growth of tariffs
14:07compared to inflation
14:09recorded a shy 1.1% since 2016.
14:13In summary, data is present
14:14within the sixth report
14:16undertaken by San Paolo Astra
14:17on the performance of local public transport companies.
14:21Although companies still feel
14:23at the national average level
14:24a structural reduction
14:26of passengers compared to the pre-COVID data,
14:28the data show a progressive recovery
14:31in 2022.
14:32Passengers transported
14:33grew by 31% compared to 2021,
14:37in 2023 by 15% compared to 2022.
14:41The trend shows a positive sign,
14:43but it is undeniable
14:45that there are problems.
14:46We have not yet reached the quota
14:49before 2019,
14:51especially in the suburban area.
14:53Today, the big issue
14:55is to continue investments
14:57through the National Transport Fund.
15:00Ecological transition is important.
15:02It is one of the challenges of the country,
15:05especially in terms of
15:06vehicle change.
15:07However, a reflection must be opened up.
15:12It is not only important to buy vehicles,
15:15and this the government
15:17with the PNR investments
15:19is continuing,
15:20but it is also necessary
15:22to calculate the cost of management.
15:24A diesel bus
15:27does not have the same costs
15:28as an electric car
15:29in daily management.
15:31The report presented
15:33photographs the economic and financial status
15:35of the transport companies in the sector,
15:37the future challenges will be
15:39the energy transition
15:40and the subsequent renewal of the fleets.
15:43Public transport,
15:44in terms of energy transition,
15:46is important
15:48both for the ability
15:50to renew its own fleets,
15:53but also as a public service
15:55and as a way
15:58to move the demand
16:00from private transport
16:02to public transport,
16:04which inevitably has a lower impact
16:06on the congestion of our roads,
16:08on pollution and so on.
16:11Innovation is one of the main objectives
16:14of the companies.
16:15As explained by Matteo Colamussi,
16:16President of Astra Puglia,
16:18the region of the Mediterranean
16:19could play a role
16:21as a protagonist in this process.
16:23The Puglia region is the protagonist
16:25of a MAS,
16:27which is an innovative tool
16:30of a platform that will finally
16:32connect the various services offered.
16:35This is not only true for the many tourists
16:37who are increasingly crowding our region,
16:39but also for the many people
16:41who, every year,
16:43we hope,
16:44can use our vehicles again.
17:00It was inaugurated
17:01at the Ficiano Campus
17:03of the University of the South of Salerno
17:05the third edition of the Master
17:06in Digitalization of the Electric System
17:08for the Energy Transition,
17:10promoted by Terna
17:11in collaboration with the Universities
17:13of the South of Cagliari, Palermo and Salerno
17:15in the area of the project
17:16Tyrrhenian Lab,
17:17for which the company has planned
17:18a total investment
17:20of 100 million euros.
17:22Terna invests in people
17:23through the continuous training
17:25of new skills
17:26to enable an energy and digital transition
17:28that is sustainable and inclusive.
17:30It has underlined the life of the company
17:32Giuseppina di Foggia
17:33at the opening of the event
17:34of the inauguration of the Master,
17:36organized in tandem
17:37in the three athenae involved.
17:39We can say that we are building together
17:41the system of energy transition
17:42that will be the basis
17:44of the future of the energy transition
17:45of the future of the energy transition
17:47of the future of the energy transition
17:48of the future of the energy transition
17:50of the future of the energy transition
17:51of the future of the electric system
17:53working for an energy and digital transition
17:55working for an energy and digital transition
17:58right.
17:59The title of the Master,
18:02I repeat,
18:03digitalization of the electric system
18:05for the energy transition
18:06underlines both our vision
18:10but also our commitment
18:13in this direction.
18:16The number of candidates
18:17has grown exponentially
18:19compared to the first editions.
18:20350 applications have been submitted, 19 students admitted,
18:24a possibility of growth and direct training and concrete work
18:28for future energy transition professionals
18:30who, at the end of the 12 months, will be hired in the respective territorial offices of Terna.
18:36Help them to create those interdisciplinary skills
18:40that serve to govern the processes and challenges of the future.
18:43Accompanying the students from the university's benches
18:48within the companies, to create a knowledge and a skill
18:52that can be spent immediately and made available to the country
18:57is a goal that the university system must set itself.
19:01Go, because you are the future of the planet!
19:04Thank you very much.
19:06In the last 10 years, 99.5% of the samples remain below the legal limits in Italy,
19:21less than 14% of the sales of agrochemicals,
19:25and the target of reducing the emissions of ammonia agreed with the EU
19:28has already reached in 2021.
19:30These are the results of the Italian agriculture compartment
19:32photographed by the Agrofarma Observatory in the report presented today in Rome.
19:35I believe that each of us can safely find ourselves in 2023-2024,
19:41which were very particular years from a climatic point of view.
19:45Plants, as living organisms,
19:47have suffered the same impact that we, as humans, have suffered.
19:51Consequently, the industry has been activated
19:55to provide solutions that allow plants to respond
20:00in an adequate way to these stresses,
20:03just as it happens for other living organisms.
20:07We will have to get used to a, let's say,
20:11unusual change.
20:14Change means adapting,
20:17reading these events quickly,
20:20therefore using forecasts in an important way,
20:23and adopting mitigation measures,
20:26because this is the only way we have available.
20:29These mitigation measures are the use of substances
20:33that also perform an anti-stress function, as I mentioned before,
20:36protection from heat, protection from excess or lack of water,
20:43as well as innovation in the development of agrochemicals,
20:47because climate change also leads to a change
20:51in the panorama of the adversities that affect plants.
20:56Inside the observatories,
20:58climate data and the meteorological effects
21:00that have affected Italy in the last decades
21:02have also been analyzed for the first time.
21:04Since 1997, the average temperature in Italy
21:06has increased compared to the previous period.
21:09In the last ten years, the shift has intensified.
21:12In the last ten years,
21:14the active biological principles have almost doubled.
21:17So, in fact, within a market of agrochemicals
21:20that is in contraction,
21:22naturally also in response to the question of sustainability
21:26that is asked of the agricultural sector,
21:28we have the principles used in biological agriculture
21:32with less impact that rise.
21:34It is clear that the weather impacts directly on agriculture
21:38and also on the defense, let's say,
21:40of the products that are distributed in agriculture.
21:43Obviously, the values, let's say,
21:46the increase in temperatures,
21:49the increase, above all, of very hot days
21:52in the last ten years,
21:54constantly above the average of the last thirtieth,
21:58and also the strong variability,
22:00let's say, in terms of rain,
22:02between strongly dry years and very rainy years.
22:06Another factor that naturally impacts
22:08on the agronomic techniques
22:10and also on the techniques of defense of cultures.
22:14In the context of the European Week for the Reduction of Waste,
22:17the Chamber of Deputies held the press conference
22:20entitled Aluminum, the infinite recycling
22:22that transforms waste into resources.
22:24At the event was also Stefano Stellini,
22:26Director General of the National Consortium for Aluminum Packaging, Cial,
22:30who talked about the infinite recyclability of aluminum
22:33as a durable and permanent material.
22:35Today, compared to aluminum packaging,
22:40it cannot be defined as a disposable use,
22:44but it is a use and recycling.
22:46It is not a single use,
22:48but it is an infinite use
22:50precisely for those that are the characteristics of metal,
22:53recyclable completely and infinite times.
22:56This is a naturally important aspect
22:58because it guarantees that the packaging remains,
23:02and therefore the aluminum from packaging
23:04is reused within the systems
23:07industrial recycling of aluminum in an indefinite way,
23:11with also an important benefit in energy terms,
23:15because we remember that recycling aluminum
23:18requires only 5% of the energy necessary to produce it
23:23starting from the raw material.
23:25So the saving is as if the aluminum packaging
23:27contained in itself the energy to be recycled
23:30and reborn several times.
23:32The performance of aluminum in recycling
23:34is very evident in the packaging compartment
23:36of which Cial has been dealing in the last 5 years.
23:39In fact, with an average recycling rate
23:41of 70% of aluminum packaging,
23:43Italy has exceeded the goals by 2030,
23:46but ranks first in Europe
23:48with 10 percentage points above the average of other countries.
23:51The efficiency of the Italian system is even more evident
23:54if we analyze the breakdown of the recycling rate
23:57for aluminum cans alone,
23:59for drinks, equal to 93.8% for 2023.
24:03President Stellini then explained
24:05the meaning of aluminum as prevention.
24:08Prevention because it is easy to collect,
24:10it is easy to recycle,
24:11the volumes in play are particularly reduced
24:13and the use of aluminum
24:15occurs only where it is needed,
24:17so there is no excess, there is no overpackaging.
24:20But aluminum contributes to the prevention,
24:23the formation of waste,
24:25in particular also as regards
24:28organic waste,
24:30precisely thanks to what is its main feature,
24:33the so-called barrier effect,
24:35therefore the ability to protect the product
24:38contained in the packaging
24:40from the light of microorganisms or bacteria.
24:42This guarantees,
24:44within the packaging material market,
24:48the longest shelf life possible.
24:51Italy is the leading country in recycling in Europe
24:54and the institutions are also active
24:56on the subject of energy transition.
24:58It is clear that the transition towards decarbonization,
25:02the green transition,
25:04brings with it enormous problems
25:07related to energy production,
25:09in particular for countries like Italy,
25:11which are closely linked to gas.
25:13We are working a lot in this direction
25:16with various measures.
25:18It is clear that it is a long journey,
25:20certainly, and tiring.
25:22During the event,
25:24the institutions were asked to continue
25:26in the policy of reporting
25:28of the slave competition.
25:30In third countries, where strong quantities of aluminum
25:33are imported, not only in raw materials,
25:35but also in finished products,
25:37where there are practically no environmental links,
25:42the energy cost is much, much lower
25:45and also the cost of labor.
25:48Let's say that the aluminum industry in Italy and in Europe,
25:52especially the Italian one,
25:54is really, really virtuous
25:57and I have to give credit to the Italian entrepreneurs,
26:01who are out of the ordinary,
26:03in managing to keep the industry so alive,
26:06so innovative.
26:13Satisfying the needs of financial, providential
26:16and insuring people,
26:18to protect their savings,
26:20give value to their heritage
26:22and respond to all investment needs
26:24through personalized and individual solutions.
26:27This is the goal of the Consulting Service
26:29that is available for banks
26:31that are part of the BCC-CREA group
26:33at the center of the new communication campaign,
26:35whose payoff is to choose in a subsidiary
26:37the plan that works for you.
26:39In a macroeconomic context of great uncertainty,
26:42diversification of the investment portfolio
26:44represents the best strategy.
26:46Investment in financial markets
26:49offers different opportunities,
26:51but also varied risks.
26:53Diversification becomes crucial.
26:56The bonds markets have become
26:59a cushion
27:02on which to rest
27:04in the phases of high volatility of the stock markets.
27:07A balanced product
27:09appears at the moment
27:10also with a good value proposition.
27:13The best solution
27:14for the different risk profiles of the clientele.
27:17The stipulation of an insurance
27:19also guarantees the protection of the heritage
27:21from possible risks.
27:22Exogenous risks such as market volatility,
27:24inflation, geopolitical or environmental risks,
27:27but also very often endogenous risks
27:30dictated by their behavior,
27:32access to information
27:34or their family and business management.
27:38Insurance protection
27:40is in this sense a central aspect
27:42for financial security
27:44and the well-being of people and companies.
27:46Artificial intelligence promises
27:48to be a transformative element
27:50also in the field of investments.
27:52We expect that in the near future
27:54investments will be turned away from technology,
27:58in particular artificial intelligence.
28:00It can invade how the title is selected,
28:03the shareholder,
28:04how the fund is selected,
28:06how the portfolio is built.
28:08Clearly our intention,
28:10as BCC of Spain per Videnza,
28:12is to mix technology with human skill,
28:15with the discretionary factor,
28:17with experience.
28:22Recover raw materials and precious metals
28:24from waste to reinvest them in the production cycle.
28:27Precious resources for our economy
28:29that find application in numerous sectors,
28:32from the defense industry to the health sector.
28:35On the eve of Ecomundo 2024,
28:37Confindustria Cisambiente
28:39presented the dossier
28:41Materie strategiche e soluzioni intelligenti.
28:43The aim is to emphasize the strategic importance
28:46and the need for a circular approach
28:48for their recovery.
28:50We do not deal with tactics,
28:52we do strategy by vocation,
28:54so since last year
28:56with the Ecomundo 2023 edition
28:58we have started the path of RAE,
29:00Recovery of Rare Earths and Strategic Materials.
29:03This year we have gone further
29:05and we wanted to expand
29:07this research and this recovery
29:09of strategic materials
29:11or raw materials
29:13with the recovery
29:15of obsolete materials
29:17related to the world of defense,
29:19in addition to telephony,
29:21abandoned computers, etc.
29:25Defense can be an excellent element
29:28to reproduce important materials,
29:31to reconstruct equipment
29:33that can be used again for defense,
29:36but why not?
29:38A time of peace for aerospace
29:40and health equipment.
29:42In this context,
29:44BTT Italia designs and makes
29:46precious metals recovery systems
29:48for RAE waste,
29:50electrical and electronic equipment.
29:5245 years of experience in the sector
29:54with the short arrival of a single system
29:56in the world designed by BTT
29:58and managed by IREN
30:00for the recovery of precious metals
30:02gold, platinum, palladium, copper and silver.
30:04BTT has designed and built
30:06the world's first hydrometallurgical system.
30:08This means that the process
30:10of refining precious metals
30:12will occur without emissions
30:14in the atmosphere.
30:16But the most extraordinary thing
30:18is that precious metals
30:20gold, platinum, palladium, copper
30:22and silver will be recovered
30:24from electronic cards.
30:26With these precious metals
30:28we enter the world of perpetual circularity
30:30because precious metals
30:32have a continuous use
30:34that can be reused
30:36in the normal space industry,
30:38in space,
30:40in pharmaceuticals,
30:42in jewelry,
30:44in luxury and in all those applications
30:46where metal is necessarily important.
31:02Ecomundo 2024

31:16Ecomundo 2024
31:18The records of the year
31:22Pac Green arrives at the Wade Mecum
31:24for the circulated cardboard
31:28Big numbers for Ecomundo's 27th edition
31:30of Ecomondo, the largest ever.
31:33It closed with new records at the international event
31:36dedicated to the Green and Circular Economy,
31:39organized by the Italian Exhibition Group
31:41at the Fiera di Rimini.
31:43Presences at 5% more than the previous edition,
31:46plus 4% those from abroad.
31:491,620 e-brand exhibitors
31:52who occupied 166,000 square meters
31:55in the Fiera district,
31:56expanded with two new pavilions
31:58to respond to a growing demand from companies.
32:03A meeting place for the technological innovation of companies,
32:06the world of research,
32:07professionals in the sector
32:09and international delegations
32:11who have participated in over 200 conventions
32:13and workshops in the program.
32:15Ecomondo has been demonstrating its growth for years
32:19and the reason is probably due to the fact that
32:22first of all, Italy is an important country
32:25in the circular economy sector,
32:27it is growing at an important rate,
32:306% more than last year.
32:33It is positioned very well on the issue of recovery and recycling,
32:37we are at 72%
32:39against a European average of 65%.
32:43And we also have the promise,
32:46basically, that over the next few years,
32:49until 2030,
32:51probably about 300,000 jobs
32:53can be created through the circular economy.
32:57Ecomondo is the collector of all this knowledge,
33:01it is the place that has become the leader in Europe
33:05and in the Mediterranean basin
33:08on the issue of the green economy and the circular economy.
33:12The novelty compared to this year
33:15is the whole issue of climate change prevention.
33:20The use of big data, artificial intelligence,
33:24monitoring,
33:25will be the essential tools
33:28to prevent what we are used to consider disasters
33:33that once were extraordinary
33:35and that are becoming more and more ordinary in our world.
33:39And so Ecomondo is a great opportunity
33:42to relaunch the theme of the environment
33:45and the attention that humans must have
33:48towards the environment to be able to live
33:50in harmony and serenity on this planet.
33:55Climate change is part of the current situation we are experiencing.
33:58Hence the action of institutions on mitigation and adaptation.
34:02On the one hand, we are growing with renewables.
34:05In fact, the fact that we have surpassed
34:09fossil fuel energy production
34:13during 2024,
34:16in the first half of the year, is, in my opinion, a relevant fact.
34:18Then, of course, it is an element
34:21because the goal must be seen in a longer period,
34:23with the goal of 2030 and then 2050.
34:26But we are growing with wind power,
34:30with photovoltaics,
34:31we are renewing the geothermal concessions
34:33of a new generation.
34:36And so the path, the road is this,
34:39on the front of mitigation.
34:41We must take into account that we are in the middle of the Mediterranean,
34:44the Mediterranean is one of the warmest seas.
34:46The contrast is such that
34:49what we thought should never happen
34:52could happen every few hundred years,
34:54unfortunately, it is much more frequent.
34:56We must run with adaptation and repair
34:59as soon as possible.
35:01On the one hand,
35:02many small maintenance works are necessary.
35:07On the other hand, many large works are necessary,
35:10not done for years,
35:11but because we did not feel the need for them,
35:14we did not perceive the state of gravity.
35:19Of course, it is about creating invasions
35:23to collect water when it comes too much
35:25and release it when there is drought,
35:28it is about creating areas of exudation,
35:30it is about balancing
35:33the flow of rivers and currents
35:37with respect to the environmental protection of biodiversity,
35:41but also the livability of the people who live there.
35:46The Chamber of Deputies held
35:49the press conference to present the new manual
35:52of the Italian Association of Boxes
35:54for the packaging of wavy cardboard.
35:56Wavy cardboard is an effective response
35:59to the growing European Union
36:01issues of packaging sustainability.
36:04Its characteristics in terms of recyclability and circularity
36:08already make it one of the packaging materials
36:10with the least environmental impact.
36:12The sector is facing new challenges
36:15related to the design of packaging
36:17that is more easily recyclable,
36:19accessible and to reduce waste
36:21along the production chain.
36:23This manual is a work
36:26that comes from a research
36:28that our association has done in the sector
36:30and it aims to encourage the culture of the sector
36:34and to explain to all the interlocutors of our sector
36:37the peculiarities of our production.
36:40In fact, our association represents
36:42the wavy cardboard transformers companies,
36:45the typical Italian SMEs
36:47that operate throughout the national sector
36:49and today have more than 350 companies
36:52and 5,000 members.
36:53The association, which represents a sector
36:56with a total turnover of more than 1.2 billion euros
37:00and which offers jobs to thousands of people
37:02throughout the national territory,
37:03continues to actively promote the concept of circular economy
37:07and the reduction of environmental impact.
37:09In Italy, more than 80% of the raw materials
37:12used for the production of cardboard
37:15come from recycled paper.
37:16The 29th annual report by Comieco
37:19highlights a recycling rate of cell packaging
37:23of 92.3% in 2023,
37:26a level that far exceeds the objectives
37:28set by the EU for 2030.
37:30In addition, more than 90% of the virgin fibre
37:33used by the European paper industry
37:36comes from European forests in expansion,
37:38of which more than 70% is FSC certified.
37:42This demonstrates the importance
37:44of a responsible and sustainable industry
37:46in continuous growth.
