00:00I want to start with this poll that's going to come out tomorrow night, you know, because
00:09frankly I think the AP poll doesn't matter anymore.
00:13All that matters is that Tuesday night poll, right?
00:16How many more of those things are they going to put out before we know who's in the playoff?
00:20It's not just tomorrow's, is it?
00:24This is it?
00:27There'll be a final release on Sunday, which will be the final rankings and the ones from
00:31which they build the playoff bracket.
00:34So Sunday is the one that matters then?
00:37Yeah, Sunday because the championship games are Friday and Saturday and then Sunday they
00:42will have the final rankings for the season and then they will build the playoff bracket
00:46from that.
00:47All right, let me ask you right off the bat, is Miami out?
00:53I've got them projected as my last team in, but the team right behind them is Alabama.
01:01Alabama's got one more loss, played a tougher schedule, got some better wins and some stupid
01:05losses too.
01:07You know, they've liked both of these teams this committee has and they have let the committee
01:12down.
01:13So I think it's just a coin flip between which of those teams the committee likes most.
01:19But I think that, you know, barring upsets on conference championship day, one of those
01:24teams is going to get in and right now I'm guessing Miami.
01:29Is Arizona State, you know, they have to win the Big 12 to get in at 10 and 2?
01:37Yes, the Big 12 champion will be the only team from that league that gets in the field.
01:42And if they don't win, they're not 10 and 2, they're 10 and 3.
01:46And that's not going to be good enough for that team to get in.
01:50Someone asked me today about South Carolina after that win over Clemson.
01:56What are their chances with three losses?
01:59None?
02:00Well, not great because their ceiling would seem to be Alabama and Ole Miss, both of which
02:07beat them.
02:08And this is a committee that has, when it can, respected head-to-head results, especially
02:13with teams that have the same record.
02:15So Alabama, Ole Miss, both beat South Carolina.
02:19It would be unlike this committee to put South Carolina ahead of any of those, either of
02:23those teams.
02:24And if they don't, South Carolina is not going to get in.
