00:00The college football playoff committee convened and gave you the top 12.
00:09Now we know the usual suspects.
00:11If the season ended right now, getting the buy Oregon, SMU, Boise State, Texas, a lot
00:16to be determined this weekend.
00:17We understand that the first round matchups, Arizona State, Penn State, Tennessee, Ohio
00:22State, Alabama, Notre Dame, Indiana, and Georgia.
00:25So you see the first round here.
00:27Let's start there.
00:28The Crimson Tide would be in if the season ended today.
00:32But my question to you, will the Crimson Tide be in this Sunday?
00:37Yeah, probably, unless we have a marquee upset.
00:40If Clemson upsets SMU, Crimson Tide, I still think are in the college football playoff.
00:47That's why they solidified them right at number 11 overall and put your Miami Hurricanes at
00:53number 12 overall.
00:54Even though the Hurricanes only had two losses and Alabama had three.
00:58So I think there's no doubt Alabama, that marquee brand, they want that in terms of
01:03the college football playoff.
01:04But Donnie, we keep going back to these rankings.
01:07How do you have Ohio State at number five in these, I mean, come on.
01:12I know you want to see the best teams, but Ohio State lost as a 20 and a half point favorite
01:17to Michigan.
01:18I mean, come on.
01:19I mean, how do we have them ranked as high as they are right now?
01:24Let's start there with Ohio State and let's compare them to Miami.
01:27You know, two losses apiece here, but certainly losses are made differently.
01:31We're not going to penalize Ohio State going to Oregon, the number one team in the country
01:34and losing late in that game.
01:36If there's any such thing as a solid loss, that would be it.
01:39But you can't be a three touchdown favorite at home and get beat by a football team and
01:45only drop a certain amount.
01:47And granted, I understand in the ACC, like Syracuse isn't a great team, but that's a
01:52solid program with a good quarterback at home.
01:55And yes, Miami had a 21-0 league and let that slip away because their defense has been bad
01:59all season.
02:00But why didn't Ohio State drop as much as Miami dropped?
02:03Well, because they love the Big Ten.
02:05It's clearly obvious.
02:06We've seen that, right?
02:08We talk about SEC bias.
02:09What about the Big Ten bias?
02:11And people will say, well, that was Michigan, right?
02:13Well, those same people that were saying that was Michigan were complaining and just saying
02:18that Ohio State was going to steamroll them and it was going to be a bloodbath, that Michigan
02:22wouldn't win the ballgame and it would be a double-digit lead by the fourth quarter.
02:27So they changed their tune after Michigan strikes the upset.
02:31And you could talk about Syracuse, but Kyle McCord leads all FBS in terms of passing yards.
02:37They lost to Syracuse by one score.
02:39They lost by five to Georgia Tech, a Georgia Tech team that has seven wins, that pushed
02:44Georgia to the limit in eight overtimes.
02:46So both of their losses are very close.
02:49And when you look at Ohio State, yeah, close losses, but they were a 20 and a half point
02:55home favorite over a team that they should have dominated, a team that was completely
02:59one-dimensional and had 60 yards passing out of Davis Warren, and we're going to drop them
03:04basically only two spots.
03:06Absolutely ridiculous, Donnie.
