00:44Week 15 of the NFL season and we have Super Bowl champion Nick Foles here.
00:48Yes, first-ever Super Bowl champ.
00:50First-ever Super Bowl champ on the show?
00:52No, have we had a Super Bowl champ?
00:54Gruden.
00:55First-ever Super Bowl MVP.
00:57I mean, that's huge.
00:58That's even better.
00:59Yeah, that is.
01:00That is.
01:01That's even better.
01:02I'm glad to be here.
01:03It's fun talking to the ball.
01:04Yeah.
01:05Talking ball.
01:06Before the show, you guys were all debating if he can beat your gauntlet time.
01:07No, you can't.
01:08He might be able to beat mine.
01:09I feel like a Super Bowl MVP might be able to beat your gauntlet time.
01:13Yeah.
01:14The real question is, can Will catch up to me?
01:16Because I'm hot.
01:17I said it last week, and we both had great weeks this past weekend, but my only year
01:21of experience with Dan is he barely has any lapses lately.
01:25This is winning time.
01:26This is winning time.
01:27So, you know that.
01:28December football.
01:29It's winning time.
01:30You've got to be a competitor.
01:31Yeah.
01:32You've got to put it all together.
01:33So, Dan is 110, 93, and 4.
01:34Will is 105, 97, and 4.
01:36And then the guest is very far behind, 77, 76, and 4.
01:40So, you've got to pick it up for them.
01:41You've got to pick it up.
01:42You've got to pick it up for them.
01:43If you're gambling with the boys, if you're gambling with us, you're profiting.
01:46Yeah.
01:47You're profiting.
01:48Unfortunately, I'm not even gambling with myself because I've had the worst football
01:51season of my career.
01:52But I'm giving winners.
01:53Yeah.
01:54Yeah.
01:55You're giving winners.
01:56All right.
01:57Jerry, how are you doing?
01:58I feel good.
01:59A little shaky today, but I'm all right.
02:00Why?
02:01I got put on a diet.
02:02Oh.
02:03By your girlfriend?
02:04Higher-ups, I'll say.
02:05Who?
02:06The higher-ups.
02:07Your girlfriend.
02:08I mean, who else?
02:09Oh.
02:10What's the diet?
02:11I'm going with chicken salad today, and a cup.
02:14Just try to get through.
02:15And a cup?
02:16Yeah, like in a container.
02:17I got it.
02:18You mean like no bread?
02:19No bread, yeah.
02:20Well, Jerry, and you're bad on a sore arm.
02:23Yeah, I'm bad on a couple.
02:25Jerry's a diehard Steelers fan, so when we get to that game.
02:27Yeah, so I'm very excited about that.
02:28Sorry for you.
02:29Why?
02:30Because they're about to lose.
02:31I don't think so.
02:32When was the last time they won in Philly?
02:3465?
02:3565?
02:36It's been a long time since they won in Philly.
02:38You had that ready.
02:401965?
02:41Yeah.
02:42They don't win in Philly.
02:43No, they don't.
02:44Damn.
02:45But we got Russell Wilson.
02:46Russell's a good player.
02:47He's a good player.
02:48Yeah, that'll be a fun preview.
02:49We might as well just jump into it.
02:50The Storyline Games of the Week presented by the Chevy Silverado.
02:52Before we get to that game where the boys are going to go,
02:54let's talk about the Bucs at the Chargers.
02:56Dan, I'll start with you.
02:57The Chargers minus two and a half.
02:59The Chargers losing by two to the Chiefs last week.
03:01The Bucs getting that win against the Raiders.
03:03Who are you taking?
03:04All right, I'm taking the Chargers in this game.
03:06Antoine Winfield out definitely matters for the Bucs.
03:09I think the Bucs are good.
03:11They've also beat up on some bad teams recently.
03:14And the Chargers, their defense is very, very good.
03:17The big question is, is Ladd McConkie going to be back?
03:19And I'll ask this to Nick because he obviously has expertise on this.
03:23When you do lose your number one receiver for a stretch,
03:26how much does that affect a quarterback's confidence?
03:29And, I mean, Justin Herbert's playing great.
03:31He's only thrown one interception, I think, all year, week two.
03:34So he's been playing great.
03:36But you know how much Ladd McConkie means to that offense.
03:39How much does that affect your, like, game prep and, like, on Sunday
03:42when you're like, my number one option's not out there?
03:44I mean, it's a huge loss.
03:45I mean, any time you lose your number one receiver,
03:47I think about games that I've lost my number one receiver.
03:49It changes the game plan.
03:50I mean, you'd like to think, you know, there's always someone that you want
03:53to step up, but if it's truly a number one and it's truly a number one guy
03:56and you lose them, it has a huge effect on your game planning.
03:59You're going to spread the ball around a little bit more.
04:01And as a quarterback, you don't have that comfort on, like, third down
04:04or, like, when a play needs to be made just to throw it out there.
04:06So it does change things for sure.
04:08I think he might play, so he might be back.
04:10But it's, I mean, he is very, very important.
04:12Even though they were competitive against the Chiefs,
04:15he's just so, so important.
04:16For a team that doesn't have a ton of outside talent.
04:19So, like, Lab McConkie has been incredible for him.
04:22But I'm going to take the charges either way.
04:23I think Harbaugh, too, on a bounce back spot, he's the type of coach where,
04:26like, you get off a loss, especially a tough division loss,
04:29he's going to have everyone focused, ready to go.
04:31Will?
04:32No, it does.
04:33It screams like it's going to be the charges, but I'm going to go to the Bucs.
04:36Mike Evans coming back.
04:37And I also feel like, too, they're in the worst division.
04:40Tampa Bay's got the opportunity here to win the division
04:42and kind of, like, you know, starts looking toward the playoff
04:45and kind of being that underdog mentality, getting out of the city,
04:48traveling across the country, going to play a good team like L.A.
04:51Everything says the charges right here, but I'm going to go Bucs.
04:54Because, again, Mike Evans coming back I think is going to bring a lot of juice to him.
04:57And, again, they get to travel with the chip on their shoulder.
05:00Nick?
05:01You know what, I'm going to go with the chargers.
05:02I just, you know, I'm a huge Justin Herbert fan.
05:04I mean, it's hard to bet against Harbaugh.
05:06I think just going into this game, I just know those cross-country trips.
05:10They're not easy.
05:11You know, the chargers are playing great ball.
05:14I think Justin Herbert's going to have another great game.
05:16Even though, you know, your receiver's out, he's the type of player that can make plays.
05:20And he's smart with the football.
05:21That's the biggest thing is, you know, he hasn't thrown, what, you said one interception all year?
05:25One interception all year.
05:26I mean, so they're going to call plays, and he's not going to make things worse.
05:28So, worst case scenario, he's either going to tuck it, run, get a few yards,
05:32or he's going to check it down.
05:33So, I like the chargers in this one.
05:35Also, Justin Herbert really good against the Blitz.
05:37Todd Bowles is going to want to Blitz a lot.
05:38Fair, yeah.
05:39So, I like that matchup.
05:41All right, so the game, the heated game.
05:43I see Jerry going to start with Nick here, and then you'll get a chance to have a rebuttal.
05:47The Steelers at the Eagles.
05:48The Eagles minus five and a half.
05:50I mean, Nick, just wherever you want to take this.
05:52I feel like you're the best mind to talk about this game.
05:54Yeah, I mean, let's just say this.
05:55You know, the comment I made earlier was, when was the last time the Steelers won in Philadelphia?
06:00It's been a very, very long time.
06:02I'll let you have that one.
06:04But I just think, you know, there's definitely been some controversy in the Philadelphia locker room
06:07that's been brought, you know, in the media.
06:09But the one thing about the Philadelphia locker room is, we always know how to hash out drama.
06:13And we know how to deal with it.
06:15And they have such a talented team.
06:16I know they've been talking about their passing attack, and it's not this or that.
06:19It's going to come because of Saquon.
06:21Like, they're going to have to start loading the box more.
06:23They're going to have to try to take away Saquon.
06:25It's going to open up the throwing lanes.
06:27And once those things both connect, Philadelphia is going to be a very hard team to stop.
06:31So, I have Philadelphia beating the Steelers.
06:34What are those conversations like when the drama is inside the locker room in Philly?
06:39Like, knowing that the clips are all over the place of the slant routes
06:42and everything else about A.J. being open.
06:44It looks like Hurch is looking his way.
06:45Like, what are those conversations in the meeting room?
06:47It's like, hey, Hurch, just let it rip here.
06:49Trust it. Let it rip.
06:50Yeah, I mean, I've never, like, really been in those.
06:52Because my big thing as a quarterback with my receivers, every receiver wants the ball all the time.
06:56Correct?
06:57Yeah.
06:58That's just part of it.
06:59So, what I do, and my recommendations for the quarterbacks,
07:01is when you're looking at your tablet on the sideline,
07:03and you see different things, or you see guys open, maybe you missed,
07:05or maybe you went somewhere else, or maybe you're feeding someone else that game,
07:08go up to that guy that you know is not getting the ball,
07:11and be like, hey, man, I see you on the slant route.
07:13I see you.
07:14Like, there was a time with Nelson Aguilar and Golden Tate who were in our slide,
07:18and maybe they weren't getting the ball when we were playing the Rams one game.
07:20And I'd go up to them, hey, I see you.
07:22I'm hitting sproles in the flat right now.
07:23I see you.
07:24Keep running that route with that same intensity,
07:26and they're going to take away sproles at some point, but I'm going to get it to you.
07:29So, I think the big thing as a quarterback is you want to talk to your receivers.
07:32You want to talk to those guys that feel like they're not getting the love,
07:34because they want the ball of their competitors.
07:36And once that – they're going to hash it out.
07:38They're going to be fine.
07:39The Philadelphia locker room won't allow that.
07:41That's what's special about that place is they're not going to let drama fester.
07:44They're big boys.
07:45They're pros.
07:46They're one of the best teams in the NFL.
07:47They're going to figure it out, and I expect a big game from A.J. Brown.
07:50Yeah, I don't know.
07:51Listen.
07:52I'm just saying.
07:53He's talking about big boys, the pros that handle it.
07:55The Philadelphia locker room, like they fell off last year,
07:58and there was locker room stuff going on with Sirianni and everything else.
08:01You have somebody, and you play with them, a stud like Brandon Graham who's on IR,
08:05and he's on a radio show talking about the drama.
08:07The big boys, if you're hashing it out, usually you're keeping it indoors.
08:11A.J. did his thing in the post-game press rehab where he just said the word passing,
08:17and it kind of leaves everything up for interpretation.
08:19But after that, usually the great teams who have all that great leadership,
08:22everything is pretty much locked inside.
08:24Yeah.
08:25You're not on a radio show talking about it.
08:26That's why – like to me, I'm going to Steelers.
08:28I love Russie.
08:29What's another stat for him?
08:30What's another stat for him, J.J.?
08:32Russell Wilson undefeated in his career against the Eagles.
08:34Mike Tomlin is an underdog.
08:35Steelers undefeated this season as an underdog.
08:37Mike Tomlin is an underdog in his career.
08:40I have the stat.
08:41He's 5-0 this year, specifically 64, 35, and 4 in his career, 65% as an underdog.
08:475-0 as an underdog this year straight up and against his friends.
08:50He's won all the games.
08:51The big thing, though, with the A.J. Brown stuff, and I think there's a difference
08:56because there's definitely times when you hear a receiver being like,
08:59I need the ball more.
09:01But everything's working, but he just wants the ball more.
09:04If you watch Jalen Hurts this year, he's not – it feels like he's not seeing it.
09:08Right?
09:09Like it feels like he's a little tentative.
09:11He's maybe trying not to make those big interception plays where he was,
09:14you know, for a stretch there he was throwing a lot of picks.
09:17It feels like he's being conservative and he's not just, like, trusting what he sees
09:20and letting it rip.
09:23And I think the Steelers' defense is a bad recipe for that
09:26because they're going to do some confusing things.
09:28Their front seven's going to be able to get some pressure,
09:31even though that offensive line for the Eagles is awesome.
09:33I like the 5.5 here.
09:35I like it too.
09:37To your point, and I guess this is a question for you because there is a difference
09:40for a receiver wanting more targets because he just wants more catches
09:43versus he's looking at the offense saying, I should get more targets
09:45because we'll be better on offense.
09:46Right?
09:47Yeah.
09:48Yeah, like A.J. Brown saying that, I don't think anyone was like,
09:50what is he talking about?
09:51The passing offenses look great.
09:53He just wants the ball more.
09:55He said that, and everyone's like, yeah, the passing offense does look a little weird.
09:58Like, it isn't clicking.
10:00Like, there is a difference between those two requests, I guess.
10:02Yeah.
10:03Well, and, you know, I think, like, Will, you said, you know,
10:05it needs to stay in the locker room, right?
10:07We can't take the emotions to the media because the media's going to take it
10:10and grow because that's the job of the media.
10:11Especially in Philly.
10:12In Philadelphia.
10:13But that's where, you know, A.J. Brown does need to get the ball.
10:16Now, like you said, maybe there's a little more hesitancy from Jalen Hurts,
10:20but they also have Saquon Barkley, who's running the ball.
10:22So, they're in a situation right now.
10:23A lot of times the quarterbacks, when you have that great front,
10:26like we do in Philly with the O-line, and you're running the ball,
10:30the best in the league, and Saquon is, like, up for MVP,
10:33and he's playing outstanding, which is awesome for him and for the team,
10:36you're like, we just don't need to make a mistake.
10:38Now, you can't have that mentality, though.
10:40You've got to be aggressive.
10:41If you're going to take it to the next level going into the playoffs,
10:43you have to have both clicking.
10:44So, I really, you know, they need A.J. Brown to get targets.
10:47Like, he needs targets.
10:48He needs the ball thrown to him.
10:49That guy is a difference maker.
10:51When he's on the field, it is a different team.
10:53So, my hope is, going into this game, they hash it out.
10:56The game plan will be fueled to get him the ball early.
10:58The big thing with guys like that is you want them to have the ball early in the game.
11:02I remember when I played with Deshaun Jackson.
11:03My goal for him was that even if I threw him a hit route,
11:06I want him touching the ball early.
11:08I want spreading the ball around early, letting my guys know that they're getting it.
11:11Because if you don't get it to them early, then it starts the mindset,
11:14the thoughts start festering, the frustration.
11:16You get them a couple easy passes early.
11:18Everything settles down.
11:19You're going to run the ball well.
11:21I like the Philadelphia Eagles at home.
11:22I know it's a five-and-a-half-point spread.
11:24I know they have Russell Wilson.
11:26I know Mike Thompson.
11:27I know all these things.
11:28But you're forgetting about the biggest thing, and that is the Philadelphia Eagles fans in the league.
11:33That is the biggest thing.
11:34You didn't forget about that, Jerry.
11:35Yeah.
11:36You forgot about that.
11:37No, those are great fans.
11:38Just like you go to Pittsburgh.
11:39Yeah.
11:40That's a huge advantage.
11:41You're in Philadelphia.
11:42Those fans are different.
11:43That energy is different.
11:45The Eagles feed off that fan base.
11:47Now, if this game's in Pittsburgh, I think it's a home-field advantage there,
11:51and it might be a different conversation.
11:52The fact that it's at the league, the reason I think that energy for the Eagles,
11:56as long as they get everything straight, is going to be huge,
11:58because they know everyone's talking about this game.
12:00Yeah.
12:01It's going to be special.
12:02And the Eagles' defense is really good.
12:03I don't think it's going to be easy for the Steelers.
12:05Without George Pickens, too.
12:06Without George Pickens, I think the Steelers are going to have to
12:08basically play perfect ball on defense, special teams.
12:12Got to be low-scoring.
12:13Got to be low-scoring.
12:14Got to play a little conservative.
12:16I think it will be one of those games.
12:18If they can keep it in that kind of game script,
12:21where if the Eagles come out and they go up 14-0,
12:23I think the Steelers are going to be screwed.
12:25Oh, yeah, right.
12:26They're not a team they can play from behind.
12:27Especially against this Eagles defense.
12:29But I do think it's going to be a grinded-out game that Mike Tomlin,
12:32he knows how to coach in these games.
12:33He does.
12:34He's a great coach.
12:3565 is a long time ago.
12:36Yeah, it is.
12:37A long time ago.
12:38It is, yeah.
12:39But, Rusty.
12:40I'm in the present right now.
12:41Yeah, I'm in the present.
12:43So, you're feeling pretty good?
12:45You know, this week was the worst I've felt so far this season.
12:48Just because, no George.
12:51I think this game is one in the trenches.
12:53I would give the edge there to the Eagles with their O-line and D-line.
12:57You know, Steelers are a couple of rookies
12:59and a second-year starter on the O-line.
13:01Might struggle a bit.
13:02Hey, Russell Wilson has proved a lot of doubters wrong this season.
13:06Plays really, really good against top defenses.
13:08Another stat.
13:09Will didn't bring it up.
13:10I gave it to him.
13:11He didn't bring it up.
13:12That's what I was wanting you to say earlier.
13:13Russell Wilson is 4-0 in his career against number-one-ranked defenses.
13:18When he plays a number-one-ranked defense, he beats them.
13:21That's a good stat.
13:22Why didn't you bring that up?
13:23Well, I was wanting to set it up for him to say
13:25whenever he was hitting them with the 1965 one.
13:28I was like, J.J.'s got another one for you.
13:29I have five or six for this game.
13:31Yeah, but Jerry's full of stats.
13:32Any other stats you want to say before we move on?
13:34No, no, no, I'm good.
13:35Okay.
13:36All right.
13:37He usually comes with a whole list of stats for the Steelers.
13:39All right, let's go to Jerry's Picking Zoo
13:41presented by Stella Blue Coffee.
13:42I'm sipping on the cold brew, the cinnamon flavor.

14:07She's back, undefeated.
14:08She's 6-0.
14:096-0.
14:106-0.
14:11All right, let's roll the tape.
14:12All right, welcome back.
14:13Pro Football Football Show Week 15, Jerry's Picking Zoo.
14:16And what do you know?
14:18I'm here again with Leia.
14:20Leia is 6-0.
14:22She's undefeated, never lost.
14:24If you have been fading Leia, you're in the red big time.
14:27Really, really bad.
14:28If you've been riding, you're in the green big time.
14:32We love her so much.
14:33She's a beautiful woman.
14:34We got her two treats.
14:35You guys know the deal by now.
14:37We're going to bring her around, bring her around.
14:39Come on.
14:40Come this way.
14:41Okay.
14:42Wait, wait, wait.
14:43No, no.
14:44She knows.
14:45She wants to be in that area.
14:46I want her to go over here.
14:47Go over there.
14:48Okay.
14:49I'm just going to put them down.
14:50Go.
14:51Oh, it's not on.
14:52No, it's not.
14:53She's got the bills.
14:54The bills.
14:56I think the Lions plus two and a half this week.
14:58There you go.
15:00We're riding the bills.
15:01There's no way we can not trust Leia at this point.
15:04Book it.
15:05We'll be back next week.
15:07Okay.
15:086-0.
15:096-0.
15:10Yeah, so the game of the week presented by the Chevy Silverado,
15:12the bills at the Lions, the Lions minus two and a half.
15:14Dan, are you going to go with Leia?
15:16I want to hear what Will has to say first.
15:18Well, I want to hear what you have to say.
15:20I want to hear what you have to say.
15:21I like the Lions.
15:22I like the Lions.
15:23I feel like.
15:24What?
15:25Just the look on his face.
15:26You like the bills.
15:27Love them.
15:28Love them.
15:30Why so?
15:31Possible game of the year.
15:33Possible game of the year.
15:34Really?
15:36Yeah, I mean, I had last week I had the Rams.
15:39I saw that coming from a mile away that that was a bad spot for the bills.
15:43They had just clinched the AFC East.
15:45They were going across country.
15:47The Rams needed it so bad.
15:49I think people are a little off the scent with the bills because that was a
15:51game that just, I mean, it got away from them.
15:53Matt Stafford played a perfect game.
15:55Puka Nakua, Cooper Kopp, those guys were incredible.
15:57I don't think it's going to be easy.
15:59The Lions definitely have an advantage running the ball against the bills
16:03defense that has maybe not been great against the run.
16:07I think Josh Allen is playing at such a level,
16:09and this is a situation where Aaron Glenn has historically not done well
16:14against running quarterbacks.
16:16So, like, Justin Fields used to, like, ball out against the Lions.
16:20They do a lot of man.
16:22They do a lot of blitzing.
16:24I think Josh Allen is going to light this team up.
16:26I really do.
16:28I think they're going to light them up.
16:30The thing that makes me concerned is that obviously there is, again,
16:34we talked about game script with the last game.
16:36There's a game script where the Lions can get up and just, you know,
16:38bully ball, run the ball.
16:40But I think if this game stays in reach the whole time,
16:43I think Josh Allen is going to.
16:45I mean, he's the MVP right now, and I think this sets up.
16:48Like, I think he's going to get Keon Coleman back.
16:50I think he's going to get Dalton Kincaid back.
16:52They sat out last week.
16:54I think they could have probably played, but the bills were like, hey,
16:57let's circle this Lions game.
16:59I think Josh Allen is going to light it up.
17:02Your confidence scares me, but I'm still going to go with Detroit.
17:04At Detroit, again, I think if you get there in the second half,
17:08this team wears you out physically.
17:10They can do everything on offense.
17:12Their defense, I mean, you're right.
17:14Josh Allen can light this team up.
17:16Josh Allen lights everybody up.
17:17He had, what, six touchdowns last week?
17:18Yeah.
17:19Three running, three passing.
17:20But I'm going to go with the Detroit Lions,
17:22because every time I pick against them, they end up winning.
17:24So I'm going with the Detroit Lions at home.
17:27Nick, who are you signing?
17:28Now that Will picked the Detroit Lions, now he's picking for him,
17:31so that's not giving the good mojo.
17:33You know, I agree with you, though, Will.
17:35I think the Detroit Lions take this one.
17:37And the reason is is because both their coordinators are going to be head
17:40coaches in the NFL before long.
17:42So the Lions, you know, they're in the NFC.
17:44I know they're a rival of my Eagles right now with, you know,
17:46going in the playoffs and everything.
17:48But there's just something special about the Lions team right now.
17:51You have these great coaches.
17:53You have these great players.
17:54They've all bought into Coach Campbell's thinking and his mentality.
17:57I mean, I remember several years ago when I was in Indy,
17:59we practiced against them.
18:01And, you know, just seeing that mentality.
18:03They were building that thing then, and seeing where he's taking them,
18:05it's a special team playing in Detroit.
18:07You know, Josh Allen coming off this huge game,
18:09their defensive antennas are going to be up.
18:11You know, sometimes when a quarterback's had a couple bad games, you know,
18:14the coach will say, hey, he's having a rough spell.
18:16Let's just make sure we keep him in that rough spell.
18:18Hey, he's coming off his best game of the season that they lost.
18:21They're going to have their antennas up.
18:23They're going to get a lot of hits.
18:24They're going to try to get a lot of hits on them early,
18:26though Buffalo is protecting them pretty well.
18:28You know, Lee Sack, quarterback, all those good things.
18:30But I really like Detroit at home.
18:32I like what they're doing.
18:33I think it's going to be an amazing matchup,
18:35maybe a matchup we see down the road again.
18:37So, Dan, you love that they both love the Lions.
18:39I love it.
18:40Leah.
18:41Leah's 6-0?
18:42She is.
18:43She's due.
18:44She's due to get taken out.
18:45I just think this is a perfect spot for the Bills.
18:47And the Lions are great.
18:48It's nothing against the Lions.
18:50You're a big fan of them.
18:51I'm a big fan of what Dan Campbell's done.
18:54Their defense, obviously, is very banged up.
18:56They've lost a lot of starters.
18:58I think they might get a couple guys back.
19:00But Josh Allen's playing at a level right now,
19:02and the way this game sets up with how the Lions like to play defense
19:07and Aaron Glenn knowing that he has struggled.
19:09And Josh Allen, like right now,
19:11because Lamar's not run as much this year as in years past.
19:15Josh Allen right now, I think,
19:16is playing the best in terms of, like, that dual threat.
19:20Because he has that ability where if he's going to run,
19:23it's going to be hard to bring him down.
19:25He runs at the right time.
19:26And if he scrambles and, like, you think he's going to run,
19:29he'll just laser it down the field where it's like everyone's still open.
19:33Especially if Keon Coleman and Dalton Kincaid come back
19:36and they finally have all of their options.
19:39I like this game a lot.
19:40When are you going to pull the trigger on if it's the Game of the Year?
19:42I would love to see it get to three.
19:44I don't know if it will.
19:45But I'm going to think.
19:47I need Travis Hunter to win the Heisman on Saturday night.
19:50If that happens, then it might be full.
19:52All systems go.
19:53I think that's pretty much all but done, right?
19:55You never know.
19:56What's your record on Game of the Years?
19:58I'm, like, around 500.
20:00But, I mean, I put everything into it.
20:02We're looking pretty good.
20:03I put everything into them.
20:04I know he's also a fan of the Lions.
20:06He does feel good about this one.
20:07Baylor, BYU Game of the Year a couple years ago got me sick for, like, two weeks after.
20:11I stayed up until, like, one in the morning fighting for it.
20:14They take a lot out of me.
20:15They take a lot out of me.
20:16So, like, at whatever time the Heisman is announced on Saturday night,
20:19that's when we'll probably know.
20:20I'll probably do it on Sunday if I'm feeling it.
20:22It's just, listen, when I do Game of the Year,
20:25I'm making a very, very, very large wager on it,
20:27and I'm going to fight for every inch, and I'm going to be there in the trenches.
20:30So, we'll see.
20:31I don't know.
20:32I don't know if I have it.
20:33I haven't done one in a while, so I don't know if I have it in me either.
20:35And some would say that's harder than actually playing.
20:37It's way harder than playing.
20:39Way harder because I can't control anything.
20:41I've got to just sit there and root hard.
20:43So, we'll see.
20:45All right, let's go to the playbook picks presented by DraftKings.
20:48Watching your team win is nice, but why not make that a win-win,
20:50and our partners at DraftKings are making winning right now even more fun.
20:54New customers who bet just $5 will get $150 in bonus bets if your bet wins,
20:59and it can be any odds.
21:00Download the DraftKings Sportsbook app, use promo code PRO.
21:03That's P-R-O.
21:04Again, only new customers bet $5 on any wager get $150 in bonus bets
21:08if it hits only at the DraftKings Sportsbook.
21:11All right.
21:12Will, I'm going to start with you today because Tom has you first,
21:15which I don't know if that's new or if he just wants to make you feel special.
21:18I love the Dolphins.
21:19Obviously, coming off a bye week, it's going to be helpful for the Texans,
21:22but I just feel like they have too many question marks.
21:24And Miami, we're playing inside.
21:27We're on a fast track.
21:28This is a track football team.
21:29John Newsmith, the running back's name, A-chain, I-chain.
21:33He's going to be toting the rock well, and they just get the ball out so fast.
21:37The creativity from McDaniel with Tua, I think they'll be firing.
21:42And, again, they're indoors.
21:43They're on a fast track.
21:44I love Miami here, even though Houston's coming off a bye week.
21:48Dan?
21:49Yeah, I'm going to take the Texans.
21:50This is going back to Tua's been hurt this year for a little bit.
21:54He obviously missed his training.
21:56That's why the Dolphins are in this hole.
21:57But what do we know from the Dolphins?
21:58What do we know from the Tua Dolphins?
22:01And no disrespect, but they love to beat up on bad teams,
22:04and then when they play a team over .500, they lose.
22:07This year, Tua is 5-0.
22:09His five wins are against Jacksonville.
22:12The Rams are – that was early in the season for the –
22:15or midway through the season, but the Rams are good.
22:18The Raiders, the Patriots, and the Jets, not great teams.
22:23Four of the worst teams in the NFL.
22:25His losses this year are Buffalo two times, Arizona, and Green Bay.
22:29Texans are closer to those teams than they are to the Jacksonville,
22:33the Raiders, the Patriots, the Jets, so I'm going to take the Texans.
22:36That's my favorite analogy of yours when you do that.
22:38Yeah, but it's true.
22:39I think we get off the scent.
22:40The Dolphins, they've obviously gone to the playoffs a couple years in a row,
22:44but any time they step up in class in terms of competition,
22:47they just don't have it.
22:49But it's not like Houston's that high of a class.
22:52I agree.
22:53They don't protect the world.
22:54I agree.
22:55I agree.
22:56They're still above 500.
22:57Yeah, they're eight and five.
22:58Yeah.
22:59In the AFC South.
23:01But his stat is over 500 teams.
23:03Yeah, no, his stat.
23:04I always love that stat when he separates them.
23:06They're closer to this team.
23:07It makes you think about it.
23:08You know, I'm going to go with the Houston Texans.
23:10I agree with you.
23:11I mean, Miami's going to have things dialed up.
23:12It's a track meet.
23:13They're a fast team.
23:14But I also know that the Texans have D'Amico Ryans.
23:16I was with D'Amico in Philadelphia.
23:18We played together.
23:19I know his mentality as a player.
23:20I've watched him as a coach.
23:22He's going to have the defense dialed in with their game plan to take away,
23:25you know, Tyreek Hill and their track guys.
23:27They're going to have some big plays.
23:29But I think just coming off a bye week, you know,
23:31we know as long as you approach the bye week correctly, you know,
23:34you've got to get through that first quarter, get guys going again.
23:37But I really like the Texans at home this week.
23:39Okay, Dan, the Bears.
23:41I'm sorry.
23:42I know it's a horrible game against the 49ers.
23:45I'm going to take the Bears, but I'm done with talking about the Bears,
23:49thinking about the Bears.
23:50It's so depressing, man.
23:51It's so, so depressing.
23:52The game was very depressing.
23:53I felt bad watching it on your behalf.
23:54It's just so bad.
23:55I'm going to take them because I always take them.
23:57But God damn it, I just want this season to be over.
23:59I really need this season to be over.
24:01What happened last week?
24:02I don't know, dude.
24:03They just suck.
24:04I thought they would have some pride.
24:05I thought they'd have some fight, and they have none of it.
24:08And it's just a disaster.
24:09They got what they wanted, I feel like, in firing them.
24:11Yeah, right.
24:12You think too when a guy gets fired.
24:14Like the players should have some ownership.
24:17Like we played to a level that a coach got fired midseason.
24:20Let's make them right.
24:22When they flashed the graphic, the 49ers had like over 200 yards,
24:25and it was just the Chicago Bears 3.
24:27It was crazy.
24:28Wherever you were, I felt bad for you.
24:29It was bad.
24:30It was bad.
24:31Okay, so Nick, they're playing the Vikings.
24:32Are you as down on the Bears as Dan is?
24:34You know, I played for the Bears for two years.
24:36I know what it was like going.
24:38I went through a similar thing that they're going through.
24:40You know, we'd all like to think when you fire a head coach,
24:42the troops rally.
24:43But unfortunately what happens is, you know,
24:45maybe the game after you fire a coach, that's your best chance.
24:48But what happens is the reality starts setting in.
24:50It will be a new coaching staff.
24:52All the coaches there are probably going to be relieved of duties after the season.
24:55And then you have families and everything.
24:57So you're not as intense as you were at the beginning of the season.
25:00You know, you're still getting your work.
25:01You're still putting in everything.
25:02You're giving everything you have.
25:04But part of your mind is like, I'm not going to be here next year.
25:07And then the players, you know, they want to rally,
25:09but it's also this season we're not going to make the playoffs.
25:13It's going to be an offseason.
25:14We're going to have a new coaching staff.
25:15These coaches won't even be here.
25:16So it just becomes a more toxic environment.
25:19That's why it's so difficult to fire a coach in the middle of the season.
25:22It's not fair to anyone.
25:24It's not fair to the players no matter how bad it's going.
25:26So unfortunately for the Bears, you know, I got to pick the Minnesota Vikings.
25:31I just think everything that's going on at Howis Hall is really difficult for those players.
25:35I lived it.
25:36I know what it's like.
25:37I feel bad for them because when I was there, it was such a great locker room.
25:41But, you know, going up to Minnesota with how well they're playing
25:43and, you know, how well Sam Darnold's playing,
25:45they're going to be a very, very difficult team to play with.
25:48It's demoralizing.
25:49It's going to be demoralizing.
25:50It'll be very difficult.
25:51Vikings as well.
25:53And to his point, it's like, you know, this late in the season, too,
25:55you're thinking about your New Year's plans, your Christmas plans.
25:58Practices are easy.
25:59Like, you're just wearing your helmet.
26:00You're doing walkthroughs.
26:01Whoever the – who's the interim head coach right now?
26:04Thomas Brown.
26:05Like, he's just running everything.
26:07Like, get guys in.
26:08Hey, here's your schedule.
26:09Let's give an extra off day.
26:10So, yeah, it's going to be bad for the Bears this weekend.
26:12Are you going to ride with the Bears or – you're chuckling back there.
26:14I told Dan this is my Tommy DeVito game.
26:18It is.
26:19I think the Bears could win this game.
26:21Listen, everybody called me crazy.
26:23I love when this happens.
26:25He said Tommy DeVito last year and they all called him insane.
26:28Is this it?
26:29I have a feeling about this.
26:30This is weird.
26:31This is like Bears look so bad.
26:32The Vikings, they're playing incredible.
26:36Yeah, Darnold comes up.
26:37How many throws last week?
26:38Four?
26:39Yeah.
26:41They're games of the year and it's like one of these games that –
26:44like, you haven't seen it much in the NFL this year, but like, what the –
26:47that was crazy.
26:48And six and a half is weird.
26:50This line should be like eight and a half, nine and a half
26:52for the way the Bears are playing.
26:54You haven't had a Tommy DeVito game this year.
26:56This is my game.
26:57I love it.
26:58I think the Bears' money line is here.
26:59Yeah.
27:00There you go.
27:01Because you have those games in the NFL.
27:02I'd like them to win at least one more game.
27:03It would be nice.
27:04You know, you have those –
27:05You need it.
27:06It should be nice.
27:07That's a good start right there.
27:08Yeah, no.
27:10It's a great start and a great, you know, prediction, I feel you.
27:12But, like, you're still going up to Minnesota and playing –
27:14Yeah.
27:15No, I get that.
27:16We all know being in a locker room, these are the scary games though
27:19because you also don't want to give the Bears life at all
27:22because the players then can take over and get their juice back that they've lost.
27:25So, you know, Minnesota has got to start this game out hot
27:28because also Caleb Williams is a good player.
27:30Yeah.
27:31He can put it together.
27:32But at the same time –
27:33so if I'm Minnesota, like that first quarter,
27:34I'm going to end the game right there and take away any –
27:37you don't want the Bears to have life.
27:38Right.
27:39So the first quarter in my opinion –
27:40Those first two series.
27:41Those first two series go three and out.
27:42That's the key to the Vikings.
27:43But if they give the Bears any life, that's where their chance comes.
27:46But if they don't have life in the first quarter, it's going to be very difficult.
27:48Now, what happens if it's halftime and the Vikings are up fucking three points?
27:51It's like, what the fuck?
27:52How is this team in this game?
27:53Yeah.
27:54This is the forward-facing game where it's Vikings, Vikings, Vikings.
27:57And then I'm laying in my bed just grinning and being like, yeah, Jerry's a sick one.
28:00Yeah, texting Jerry.
28:01I think I'm going to write up Jerry.
28:02I mean, you can't doubt the Tommy DeVito game after what he did last year.
28:05Yeah, true.
28:06True.
28:07All right, Nick, who is your playbook pick this week?
28:09My playbook pick, I got to go back to my old head coach
28:12and I'm going to pick the New York Jets at the Jacksonville Jaguars.
28:16What a shitty pick.
28:18What an awful pick.
28:20But I had to pick a bad one.
28:22Yeah.
28:23Yeah, it's fair.
28:24You know, let's just give them some love.
28:26You know, we'll give this game a little bit –
28:27this is the only attention this game is going to get all week.
28:29Yep.
28:30It's true.
28:31So other than when Aaron talks about it afterwards.
28:33Big of you.
28:34Big of you.
28:35Aaron is quite simple, you know, old ball coach, you know,
28:38trusting that he's going to keep – you know, you're 3-10.
28:41It's been a rough year.
28:42You're getting three points.
28:43But he's pretty good with backup quarterbacks.
28:45Yeah, I'd say so.
28:46Yeah.
28:47I'm just going to say, you know, I know last week wasn't great,
28:49but I also know that it takes a little acclimation period.
28:52So, you know, maybe this is the game where they sort of light it up
28:55and surprise everyone and get that fun victory.
28:57And then you know what it's like when you have a bad year.
29:00You know, when you win a game when you're 3-10,
29:02it feels like you won the Super Bowl.
29:04Fans are going to rush the field.
29:05Fans are going to rush the field.
29:06It's going to be that way.
29:07Hey, you're off.
29:08Hey, victory Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.
29:09We'll see you Thursday.
29:11Even if it's against another 3-10 team?
29:13Hey, it doesn't matter.
29:14Hey, my rookie year was against the Bucs.
29:16I don't remember their record.
29:17They were bad like us.
29:18We won that game, and it just felt like we won the Super Bowl.
29:21No matter if they're 3-10, your head coach comes in like,
29:23it's hard to win in this league.
29:25I don't care who the other outfit is.
29:27It's hard to win in this league.
29:28Cherish every single one of these.
29:30A win's a win.
29:31It doesn't matter.
29:32It feels good.
29:33The next day you go into the office, no matter who you beat,
29:35it's so hard to win.
29:36It just feels good.
29:37So, I have the Jaguars.
29:38Okay, Dan, Jets or Jags?
29:39Yeah, I don't want to think about this game at all.
29:42Aaron Rodgers versus Mac Jones, I'll take Aaron Rodgers.
29:46Will?
29:47Fuck.
29:48I thought we were just all going to write with Jets.
29:50No, I just.
29:51You just let him make a spiel.
29:52Me and you both say, fuck it, we don't care about this game.
29:55I looked at this game, and I was just like, Aaron Rodgers, Mac Jones.
29:58Stop overthinking it.
29:59Just do that.
30:00Yeah.
30:01I'm going to go with Dan.
30:02Yeah, just do that.
30:03I'm going to go with Dan.
30:04Yeah.
30:05No, I wanted to, but just Dan thinking that, like that philosophy.
30:08That philosophy, like let's just not think about this.
30:11Will, I want to ask.
30:12Okay, so I want you.
30:14Your philosophy, not a lot of depth right there.
30:16No, it's not.
30:17Specifically, that's actually why it works.
30:19I picked this game to rattle everyone, so I need depth.
30:21You're not wrong.
30:22There is no depth in this brain.
30:24Yeah, right.
30:25Sometimes, as I've learned getting into this world,
30:27sometimes you've got to lean on the balls.
30:29They're like, you know what?
30:31There's too much thinking that's going into this game.
30:33Fuck it.
30:34Aaron Rodgers versus Mac Jones.
30:36We're just going Aaron Rodgers.
30:37Just think about someone comes up to you on the street,
30:40and they're like, Aaron Rodgers or Mac Jones.
30:42You're like, Aaron Rodgers.
30:43Yeah.
30:44What are you talking about?
30:45Because there's been times where I try talking straight to the locker room
30:49mentality aspect of these games late in the year,
30:51and Dan will just rattle something off like that.
30:53He'll be right, and I'm like, you know what?
30:55I need to step back and take a breather.
30:56Yeah.
30:57I need to lean on the experts.
30:58Yeah.
30:59Like, look.
31:00I'm going to show you how this is done.
31:02Well, just show them your record last week.
31:04Well, yeah.
31:05I mean, but that's – let's just pretend –
31:07Let me show you.
31:08Pretend Doug Peterson has nothing to do with this game.
31:10Just circle one of these guys.
31:12Yeah.
31:13You'd circle this.
31:14Okay, thank you.
31:15So Nick just picked Aaron Rodgers.
31:16Circle one, Mac Jones or Aaron Rodgers.
31:19That's it.
31:20But here.
31:21No, I said no Doug Peterson.
31:23Hold on, hold on.
31:24Let me circle some.
31:25Hold on, hold on.
31:26Let me do some.
31:27We're going to do this.
31:28Okay.
31:29I said Tom Brady.
31:30Oh.
31:31Oh, shit.
31:32That is –
31:33Yeah, he did it.
31:34He got me.
31:35He got me.
31:36He said Tom Brady or Nick Foles.
31:37That's incredible.
31:38That was smart.
31:39That was smart.
31:40You've got to be quick.
31:41That was smart.
31:42This is my first time doing this.
31:43I'm trying to keep up.
31:44That was smart.
31:45I don't know if you can recover from this.
31:46Damn, that was smart.
31:47That was smart what you did.
31:48That was a great rebuttal.
31:49Yeah, great rebuttal.
31:50What a flex.
31:51Yeah, great rebuttal.
31:52There aren't very many guys that can do that.
31:53You, Eli Fanning, I guess.
31:54But only because he's the greatest of all time.
31:56If I was in your position, I would do that every single day.
31:59Great rebuttal.
32:00I would just be like, hey, hey.
32:01I'm still going there.
32:02There's a reason he can do that, right?
32:05It's fair.
32:06It's real.
32:07That was fantastic.
32:08Okay.
32:09Fireball rapid-fire picks –
32:10Ring on him, too.
32:13Take your shot.
32:14Fireball rapid-fire picks of the week.
32:16Fireball chocolate, the perfect party starter for the holidays, whether you're hanging it,
32:19slapping it, or pouring it.
32:20The non-denominational holly-themed whiskey stocking is a must-have gift this year.
32:25It's literally a stocking full of fireball that you can hang on your mantle
32:28or toss around the room with friends.
32:30Let's get into the fireball rapid-fire picks of the week.
32:33Will, Cowboys at the Panthers.
32:35The Panthers, minus three.
32:37Don't know.
32:38Panthers.
32:40Panthers are still playing hard, overshown out.
32:43Kooper Rush is not good.
32:44Bryce Young is starting to feel it.
32:45I like the Panthers.
32:47Like, you look at what the Panthers are doing, and that's a team that –
32:50there's a lot of bad teams in the NFL right now.
32:53They're one of the bad teams that is playing really, really hard.
32:56They went – they lost by three to the Chiefs.
32:59They lost by six to the Bucs.
33:01They lost by three – or six to the Eagles.
33:03Like, they're in these games.
33:05And so I like the Panthers here, especially because, like, think about it this way.
33:10Like, it's December.
33:12Both these teams suck.
33:14Both these teams are not going to the playoffs.
33:15It still means something to beat the Dallas Cowboys.
33:17Like, they still got that star in their helmet,
33:19and the Panthers are going to get up for this game.
33:21And there's also something to say, too,
33:22about to your point of them playing hard this late in the year,
33:24especially against some quality teams like Dallas.
33:26They have their own.
33:27Yeah.
33:28That political system out there in Dallas.
33:30That's good.
33:31Playing against the Panthers.
33:32And what a way to lose on Monday night.
33:33Like, that's as deflating as it gets.
33:35Yeah.
33:36Okay, Nick, can you take it?
33:37Yeah, I got the Panthers.
33:38I think I agree with you.
33:39I mean, I'm not going to pick the Cowboys.
33:40I don't even care if they're the best team.
33:42I'm just not going to pick them.
33:43But that being said, there's a lot going on there.
33:45You know, their coaching situation is in flux.
33:48There's a lot of controversy going on,
33:50like what's going to happen in the future.
33:51Whereas the Panthers,
33:52they know that the coaching staff is going to be there.
33:54There might be changes, but Bryce Young is starting to play better.
33:56You know, they have good veterans in the locker room.
33:58At Carolina, you know, I like the Panthers in this one.
34:01So, Panthers across the board?
34:02Panthers across the board.
34:03Okay, Dan, Chiefs at the Browns.
34:06The Chiefs minus four.
34:07Before you say anything, this feels the plus four
34:13It just feels like something's up.
34:15Yeah.
34:16Or is it just the fact that the Chiefs win every game?
34:19Every game by two.
34:20By the last fucking play.
34:21Yeah.
34:22I like the Browns in this game.
34:23I do.
34:24I think this might be the Jameis game.
34:26The Chiefs secondary is the problem.
34:28They had Watson goes out in the middle of the year.
34:30He's one of their best secondary players.
34:32And their offensive line, they get DJ Humphries back.
34:35He then gets a hamstring injury, like right away.
34:38So, he might not play.
34:39Miles Garrett and that defensive line can still get after him.
34:42Like, Patrick Mahomes has been under pressure every single game.
34:45And, yeah, I think the Browns are live here.
34:48I think this might be the one.
34:50You look at the slate and you look at like, hey, there's a lot of early games
34:53that don't mean anything.
34:55This could mean something.
34:56The Browns could win and mean something.
34:58I like the Browns.
34:59I love Browns' money line here.
35:00Money line.
35:01I love Browns' money line here.
35:02You're a Chiefs hater.
35:03I am.
35:04I am.
35:05I am.
35:06I'm a Chiefs hater.
35:07I've been preying on their downfall.
35:08But to what you were just saying, too, like, Miles Garrett is just going to
35:11take advantage of that left tackle because they've been struggling to
35:14protect Patrick Mahomes.
35:15And, again, keeping it close, there's just enough Jameis spirit in the air.
35:19I like an upset here.
35:20I like an upset with the Browns.
35:21I mean, I'm going to go with your philosophy and write it on paper.
35:24Oh, no.
35:25Well, no, I actually – yeah, yeah.
35:27Oh, Andy Reid, Mahomes.
35:29I think I just got –
35:30I would circle –
35:31No, no, no, I'm circling both.
35:32Oh, okay.
35:33They're on the same team.
35:34Because if you gave me a Jameis option,
35:37I'd circle Jameis.
35:38And I love Jameis.
35:39I love what he brings.
35:40Sounds like you don't.
35:41You know what?
35:42I can love him.
35:43I just think, you know, the Chiefs are winning.
35:46I think everyone's just waiting for them to just fall apart.
35:48But I know Coach Reid, and I've played for him, and I know what he does.
35:51There's a reason they're so great.
35:53They're winning these games close because, like, I know when they have the
35:55ball at the end, the game is over because of how well they're coached.
35:58They know the situation.
35:59They know, like, when people think, like, the last game, oh,
36:02they're just going to let them score.
36:04And then they're going to get the – no, they're going to take a knee.
36:06It's called church mode.
36:07Yeah.
36:08We have that built in to Andy Reid's system where we as players are so
36:11educated in those game-winning situations.
36:13We know everything.
36:14So, our coaches don't have to tell us anything.
36:16So, there's a reason why now.
36:17The money line, that becomes interesting.
36:18But I think it's just a matter of time before the Chiefs finally just,
36:21like, blow out a team.
36:22So, I think this is my idea.
36:24I was expecting it last week.
36:25I'm not a – I'm not a –
36:27That's what I'm saying.
36:28When's it coming?
36:29I'm not a Chiefs stink guy.
36:30It hasn't come for a while.
36:31And you're just saying that the Andy Reid church book, it's like, okay,
36:33we know we're going to go out there and block this field goal against the
36:36Broncos.
36:37Yeah.
36:38They just get – I'm not going to –
36:39He is –
36:40I was going to say lucky, but they're not lucky.
36:41They're a great football team.
36:42No, they're not lucky.
36:43Wait till Christmas.
36:44Yeah, yeah, yeah.
36:45Yes, sir.
36:46I'm not on the team, like, of, like, the Chiefs are lucky.
36:47I think they're just – they have a winning DNA.
36:49If you slip up against them, they will capitalize.
36:52And, like, the game – all these football games are, you know,
36:56game of inches for a reason.
36:57Like, you make one mistake late, the Chiefs are there to pounce on it.
37:01The Chiefs, though, they don't really take the ball away.
37:04I think they're third to last in takeaways.
37:06Obviously, Jameis likes to throw the ball away.
37:09So, I think that actually plays to Jameis' hand where the Chiefs aren't,
37:13like – they're not racking up interceptions every game.
37:17I don't know.
37:18I like the Browns.
37:19Yeah, but, Dan, Jameis asked to be delivered from the pick six.
37:21And guess what he didn't do last week?
37:22He didn't throw any pick sixes.
37:23True.
37:24He threw two picks.
37:25But neither of them were returned for a touchdown.
37:26He did ask.
37:27He did ask that.
37:28He got it.
37:29He got it.
37:30It'll be a fun one to watch, that's for sure.
37:32Okay, Nick, the Commanders at the Saints.
37:34Commanders at the Saints with the money line.
37:36I mean, honestly, going into New Orleans, seven and a half points, I got the Saints.
37:40I just think, you know, that's a lot of points at home in New Orleans.
37:44You know, I know they're only five and eight, but I think they'll keep it tight.
37:48All right.
37:49Dan?
37:50Here's a stat for you.
37:51Bucks 51, Saints 27, Broncos 33, Saints 10, Chargers 26, Saints 8.
37:58What do those three games have in common?
38:01I didn't hear you until the end.
38:03Okay.
38:04They got blown out in three games in a row.
38:05It was no Derek Carr.
38:07This team, no Derek Carr, no Taysom Hill.
38:09How are the Saints going to move the ball?
38:11How are they going to move the ball?
38:12In the game, Washington coming off a bye week.
38:13Washington coming off a bye week.
38:14This is a team that, you know, has a really good shot at getting in the playoffs,
38:17and a bye week for them came at the right time.
38:19So, yeah.
38:20Also, Jaden Daniels, seven and one against the spread against teams under .500.
38:24The Saints are under .500.
38:26I like the Commanders here.
38:27All right.
38:28I like it.
38:29I like it.
38:30Commies?
38:31Okay.
38:32Okay.
38:33Well, the Ravens at the Giants, a massive, massive line, minus 16.
38:36Yeah.
38:37I mean, this line is crazy.
38:40Crazy.
38:42I think I'm just going to take the Giants because the line is 16.
38:44I mean, yeah.
38:45They are horrible, but 16 is crazy.
38:47It was the Lions and was it the Panthers?
38:50Jaguars.
38:51The Jaguars?
38:52Yeah, yeah, yeah.
38:53And I think that line was 13.
38:54You took the Jaguars.
38:55You're right.
38:56You did.
38:57You're right.
38:58You took the Jaguars.
38:59You took the Jaguars.
39:00Lions covered with a large spread.
39:02They killed them.
39:03That's a sign.
39:04Yeah.
39:05There's a sign.
39:06Yeah, the sign.
39:07We're going Ravens minus 16.
39:08Yeah.
39:09Sign.
39:10I hate this game.
39:11I mean, look, 16 is insane.
39:12It's insane.
39:13It's college football.
39:14It's insane.
39:15But I'll take the Ravens.
39:16It's insane.
39:17It's an insane point spread.
39:18But I think the Ravens, like, the only way they don't cover this is if they just decide
39:22to stop playing in the second half because they can pick their number here.
39:25The Giants are a disaster.
39:27Tommy DeVito's back.
39:29Ravens coming off of a bye.
39:30No Dexter Lawrence.
39:31Like, they're a disaster.
39:33We can see Derrick Henry.
39:35Yeah, the Ravens getting themselves right.
39:36New hair.
39:37Maybe getting right.
39:3916's crazy, though.
39:4016 is crazy.
39:42I'm with you.
39:43All those different things.
39:44We were just talking about Tommy DeVito game and stuff like that.
39:46You know, 16 points.
39:47I know winning an NFL game by over 16 is very difficult.
39:51College happens all the time.
39:53NFL, very difficult.
39:55I'm going to go with the Giants.
39:56Okay.
39:57That's smart.
39:58That's probably smart.
39:59Gigantic line.
40:00That's probably smart.
40:01Gigantic.
40:02But you learned your lesson.
40:03Yeah.
40:04Yeah.
40:05I was going to do that.
40:06Then, yeah.
40:07Dan reminded me.
40:08Well, you have one last chance.
40:09Are you going to?
40:10Yeah.
40:11I think you were like, Jaguars, too many points.
40:12And then the Lions won, like, 105 to nothing.
40:13What are you going to do before we move on?
40:14Ravens.
40:15Okay.
40:16All right, Dan.
40:17The Bengals at the Titans.
40:18Bengals minus 5.
40:19I'm going to take the Bengals here.
40:20I don't feel confident about this one.
40:21But I just, you know.
40:22Bengals, yeah.
40:23I mean, it's the names on the paper.
40:24The Bengals offense still is electric, elite.
40:27Joe Burrow is playing out of his mind.
40:29He's having an MVP season with a, you know, 5-8 team.
40:32And the Titans are just bad.
40:34They're just bad.
40:35It's sad.
40:36I know.
40:37They're bad.
40:38Are you sad?
40:39When your head coach comes in after the game, after scoring six points, we did some pretty
40:43good things.
40:44Yeah.
40:45You know that.
40:46There was enough.
40:47Scary hours.
40:48I'm going with the Bengals, too.
40:50Joe Burrow.
40:52He's played incredibly.
40:53Yeah.
40:54And the Bengals still, I mean, I know it's a very long shot.
40:56But, like, they still are playing for something.
40:58Because if they run the table, they're, like, doing the math and saying, hey, we got at
41:02least a chance.
41:03The whole one game at a time mentality.
41:05Yeah.
41:06They're in the playoffs already.
41:07Yeah.
41:08I started for them.
41:09Yeah.
41:10Yeah.
41:11Yeah.
41:12Yeah.
41:13That whole thing.
41:14Yeah.
41:15You had that look.
41:16Every week.
41:17Every week is the playoffs.
41:18Will had to, like, process that.
41:19Like, is Dan fucking with me right now?
41:20Yeah.
41:21He's like, you suck.
41:22So, like, the playoffs started in Thanksgiving.
41:23Playoffs are early for us.
41:24Yeah.
41:25Right.
41:26Yeah, you never want to hear that.
41:27All of a sudden, you got, like, ten playoff games.
41:28Yeah, right.
41:29Nick, who are you taking?
41:30I'm taking the Bengals.
41:31I agree with you all.
41:32I think just they're playing so well offensively.
41:33You know, Joe Burrow has been playing fantastic this season.
41:36I think he's going to continue to do so.
41:38And I think they're going to take it to the Titans.
41:40Okay, Nick, the Patriots at the Cardinals.
41:42Yeah.
41:43Ooh, six points.
41:44You know what?
41:45The Patriots just, they have not been great this year.
41:48They're trying to figure it out.
41:49They have a new coaching staff, new systems.
41:52It just hasn't been clicking yet.
41:54I'm picking the Cardinals at home.
41:55Dan?
41:56I'm going to take the Cardinals as well.
41:58This is a matchup where the Cardinals, it's kind of gone sideways.
42:01They, you know, three weeks ago, they were at the top of the NFC West.
42:05I think they've lost three in a row.
42:07Kyler Murray throwing some picks.
42:08But the thing I always say with the Cardinals, and when you watch their games,
42:11if they can run the football, everything else works.
42:14And they'll be able to run the football in this game against the Patriots.
42:17So, I think they're going to win and win big.
42:19Will?
42:20Agreed.
42:21I like the Cardinals here, too.
42:22Again, I mean, they're 0-3 since the bye week.
42:24It's the bye week.
42:25They took the wrong approach to the bye week.
42:27But this is a game to get back on track because, again,
42:30that NFC West is wide open, and they have to have this game.
42:33Okay, Will, the Colts at the Broncos.
42:36Broncos.
42:37Yeah.
42:38Bo Nix.
42:39You Bo Nix guy.
42:40You love Bo Nix.
42:41Indianapolis coming out this late in the year, traveling to Denver.
42:43Again, with the momentum that Denver has right now,
42:46how great they're playing on defense.
42:48Bo Nix playing well, protecting the football.
42:51I like the Broncos at home.
42:53Dan?
42:54Colts.
42:55Do you have reasoning?
42:56You said that with conviction.
42:58Is this a spot thing?
42:59It's a spot.
43:00I think I've been hard on Anthony Richter,
43:03and I think he's playing a little bit better.
43:05Riley Moss out for the Broncos.
43:07That's important for their pass defense,
43:09and the Colts are getting a couple guys back.
43:12I think was it Downs that was hurt who's maybe coming back?
43:15I think the Colts are going to keep this game tight.
43:18I do.
43:19I think they're going to keep this game tight.
43:20And this is a huge, huge game for playoff implications.
43:24Like if the Colts win this, they are very much alive.
43:27And if they lose this, it's over.
43:29So I think you're going to get max effort from the Colts.
43:32And, yeah, I like the Colts.
43:34I think the Bengals end up playing the Broncos.
43:37So if the Broncos lose this game and then lose against the Bengals,
43:40I don't know if the Bengals play the Colts.
43:42No, they don't.
43:43Okay.
43:44That's big for the Bengals.
43:45This is a huge game.
43:46Like all three teams, this is big for them.
43:48Yeah, yeah.
43:49Nick, who are you taking?
43:50You know what?
43:51I'm picking the Broncos.
43:52You know, I love Shane Steichen, played for the Colts.
43:54A lot of my former teammates are there.
43:56But, you know, I know they're a dome team.
43:58They play in a dome.
43:59They might live in a cold-weather climate.
44:01They play in a dome.
44:02You're going to be outside, cold weather, at altitude,
44:04playing against a Denver Broncos team, which is figuring it out.
44:07Their rookie quarterback is figuring it out and playing great.
44:10I mean, as a rookie, I mean.
44:11Yeah, he's awesome.
44:12I mean, he's playing fantastic.
44:13Fantastic.
44:14And he can move around.
44:15He can run the ball.
44:16He can throw the ball.
44:17He's making plays.
44:18He has confidence.
44:19I mean, he has enough, you know, cojones to go up to Sean Payton
44:21and, you know, be aggressive.
44:22I mean, I like what I see from him, so I'm picking the Broncos.
44:25Yeah, we had Kenny Dillingham, who's a friend of your guys too, on PMT.
44:29He said Bo Nix, because he coached him both at Auburn and at Oregon.
44:32He said Bo Nix has so much dog in him, it makes people uncomfortable.
44:36I love that.
44:37Even other grown men.
44:38Yeah, yeah.
44:39Even other grown men are uncomfortable being around how much dog Bo Nix has.
44:44I love that.
44:45Yeah.
44:46And building off that too, even though Anthony Richards has been playing better,
44:48like he's still, like he's very much just a running-style quarterback.
44:51Yeah.
44:52Still trying to figure it out, putting the ball in the air.
44:54Super talented.
44:55Yeah.
44:56Super athletically talented, and it's just only a matter of time
44:57before it starts clicking for him.
44:58Yeah.
44:59Okay, Dan, Sunday night football, the Packers at the Seahawks.
45:02I'm going to take the Seahawks.
45:04I'm with you.
45:05Two and a half.
45:06I agree.
45:07The Packers is starting to take shape.
45:08We were talking about that.
45:09They're playing some really good defense off the bye.
45:12I also think the Packers' vulnerability over the middle
45:15and Geno's going to get the ball out fast.
45:18I like the Seahawks here.
45:20And Nick, you said you agree.
45:21I like the Seahawks as well.
45:22I mean, I believe the Green Bay Packers have trouble playing in Seattle,
45:25historically, for one.
45:27And then, you know, night game in Seattle, Seattle's figuring it out,
45:31and then we all know what it's like to play in Seattle.
45:33Yeah.
45:34It's brutal.
45:35Like you can't hear anything.
45:36I don't know why I said that.
45:37Well, I didn't look at you.
45:38Yeah, yeah, I don't know why I said that.
45:39I was looking at Jerry.
45:40Jerry knows.
45:41Jerry's just trying to switch it.
45:42Yeah, it's a real tough play, man.
45:43He's just dealing with the shit that's out in the school right now.
45:45He's just not feeling good because he hasn't eaten enough.
45:47It's okay.
45:48What level are you taking?
45:49Seattle.
45:50Okay.
45:51They said it.
45:52Off the bye week, they're 4-0.
45:53It's 4-0 right off the bye week.
45:54Yeah, I think they're, like, top five EPA per play defensively
45:56off the bye week.
45:57Like, it just – we had this conversation early in the season.
46:00Like, new defensive coordinator, defensive head coach,
46:02takes a little time to get everyone in place, get everyone feeling,
46:05trusting their system, playing free.
46:07That has happened.
46:08Yeah, and being at home, being underdogs at home.
46:10I'm telling you, if they get this game – Green Bay's a great football team.
46:13NFC's got a few good teams there.
46:15But Seattle, somebody who's not being talked about that can really choke out
46:18the division right now, and they could be a problem in the playoffs.
46:21The Seahawks, also DK Metcalf said this week that the defense, I guess,
46:24since the bye week has been calling themselves the death zone.
46:27Oh.
46:28Oh, yeah.
46:29Death zone?
46:30Death zone.
46:31Yeah, anytime your defense feels confident and they're playing good enough
46:33and they get a nickname.
46:34Yeah, yeah.
46:35Especially, like, the death zone.
46:36It becomes legendary.
46:37Yeah, yeah.
46:38That's – yeah, hardcore.
46:39All right, Nick, last game, Monday night football, the Falcons at the Raiders,
46:42Falcons minus four.
46:43Yeah, not an awesome Monday night football game.
46:45I mean, that's disgusting.
46:46That's –
46:47You know, I'm going to go with the Atlanta Falcons.
46:49You know, they had a really tough game when Kirk went back to Minnesota.
46:52Knowing Kirk Cousins, I feel like he's going to have a great bounce back game.
46:55He's going to be, you know, smart with the ball.
46:58Brother, I mean, this is game four we need this bounce back game.
47:01Yeah.
47:02Zero touchdowns, eight interceptions.
47:03Yeah.
47:04But there's something about Kirk that I know with his preparation
47:06and his mindset, like, he has the ability to do so,
47:09and I think this is an opponent that you can do it against.
47:11You know, going against Minnesota, Minnesota's, you know,
47:13where he played last year, amazing opponent.
47:16That's a tough bounce back game after you've been struggling.
47:19This is the game that Kirk Cousins need, the Falcons need,
47:22to go into Las Vegas and come away with a victory.
47:25Will?
47:26I'm going Raiders just because I need the Raiders to win a game,
47:29and I feel like if they're going to win a game this late in the year,
47:31it's going to be against the Atlanta Falcons with Kirk struggling.
47:33I hate that the boy Kirk's struggling.
47:35I'm wondering if the Falcons are thinking about going with the Panics whatsoever.
47:39Yeah.
47:40But I'm going to go Raiders here just because, again,
47:42based on the bets that we've had, what, two shows ago?
47:45Yeah.
47:46I need the Raiders to get one,
47:48and I think what they're going to do is going to be against the Falcons.
47:50So, Dan, I assume you're going to take the Falcons because of that bet?
47:52I am not going to take the Falcons.
47:55I'm going to say one of the dumbest things I've ever said,
47:58Desmond Ritter revenge game.
48:00Oh.
48:01Oh.
48:02Yeah, really dumb.
48:04Really, really dumb.
48:06That's a cute laugh.
48:07Listen, the Falcons, as a franchise, I feel like all they know is pain,
48:12and what would be more pain than anything else
48:14than Desmond Ritter beating you to basically knock you out of the playoffs?
48:17Yeah.
48:18I mean, that's just a ridiculous storyline that I just –
48:23That's where the Falcons always end up.
48:25They end up in maximum pain.
48:26What would be maximum pain here?
48:28Losing to the Raiders.
48:29Losing to Desmond Ritter.
48:30Yeah.
48:31I mean, as we go into the hot take segment, that's pretty good
48:33that that game is going to be the Desmond Ritter revenge game.
48:35Revenge game.
48:36Do you have another hot take?
48:37Again, I don't even know if he's capable of revenge.
48:39I don't even know –
48:41It's a dumb thing to say, Desmond Ritter revenge game.
48:44But I kind of love it.
48:45What the hell is that?
48:46Yeah.
48:47Okay.
48:48Then let's go into hot takes.
48:49Do you have a hotter take than that?
48:51Do I have a hotter take than that?
48:52A hotter take than the Falcon Raiders?
48:54Desmond Ritter revenge game.
48:56Desmond Ritter revenge game.
48:57You got one?
48:58Jameis Winston and God himself are going to expose the Chiefs this weekend
49:02and win by 10 points.
49:04That's a hot take.
49:05It's a hot take.
49:08No, I guess Desmond Ritter revenge game is the hottest.
49:10I mean, I love the Bills.
49:13But yeah, I don't think you can get hotter than Desmond Ritter revenge game.
49:16Nick, do you have any hot takes you want to fire off?
49:19You know, I think I'm going to go with our favorite game that I chose
49:21was the Jets and the Jacks.
49:24I just think, you know what, like I'll expand on it more.
49:26I mean, the Jets are going to go in there
49:28and there's probably not going to be many fans in the stands.
49:31Maybe the pool won't even be open.
49:34There will be someone in there.
49:36This won't be what it was like at the beginning of the season.
49:39But Jacksonville is used to playing in that environment.
49:41True.
49:42Jacksonville always finds a way to just like at some point at the end of the season
49:46win one of those games big.
49:48And you're like, wait, why weren't you doing this before?
49:50Right.
49:51So this might be that game.
49:52You talked about that game so much when Aaron Rodgers
49:54simply kissed the Jaguars.
49:56Yeah.
49:57I took Mack Jones over Aaron Rodgers.
49:59It was as simple as just writing it on a piece of paper.
50:01Because you don't think being in New York cold right now,
50:03like you get to go down to Jacksonville.
50:05Yeah.
50:06Hey, but they might be enjoying that warm weather too much.
50:09You never know.
50:11Nothing will ever, like what he just did to Dan
50:15No, that was great.
50:16He got me.
50:17He got you on that.
50:18Okay, survivor pool picks.
50:19Will, you and the guests are still alive.
50:22Jerry and Dan are eliminated, but they still have one point.
50:25So, Will, you cannot take the Eagles, the Bengals, the Titans, the Jets,
50:29the Bills, the 49ers, the Dolphins, the Bucs, or the Broncos.
50:35You should forfeit the pick, Will.
50:38Because the more teams you keep on taking, when we restart again,
50:41you're only going to have one point.
50:43Yeah, he's trying to win.
50:44Just take the Ravens.
50:45Because you need a point.
50:46Both of you just take the Ravens.
50:51Both of you just take the Ravens.
50:52What are we doing?
50:53The Commanders.
50:54Oh, okay.
50:55Yeah.
50:56Okay.
50:57You can't take the Commanders.
50:58Yeah, you can't take the Commanders.
50:59Do you want to take the Ravens?
51:00No, I don't.
51:01Oh.
51:02Who do you want to take?
51:03I'm going to let Will decide.
51:04Okay, okay.
51:05And just for everybody watching, the guest seat cannot take the Eagles,
51:07the Bengals, the 49ers, the Jets, the Commanders, the Lions,
51:10the Chiefs, or the Texans.
51:15I know you're not going to pick my team, so I'll just close this.
51:21You still with us?
51:22Yeah, yeah, yeah.
51:23I'm down to the two.
51:24I'm down to Washington and Baltimore.
51:26Both are going to win.
51:28But which one do you want to save?
51:30Yeah.
51:31That's the thing.
51:32Yeah.
51:33Because you do –
51:34We'll go Washington.
51:35Okay, Commanders.
51:36Commanders for Will.
51:37I'm going to go with the Jets.
51:38Oh, no.
51:39He's going to go.
51:40Let's go.
51:41It doesn't matter to him.
51:42He's not going to be here.
51:43It doesn't matter.
51:44Hey, I'm just rolling with it.
51:45Hey, okay.
51:46All right.
51:47I'm just rolling with the Jags.
51:48Okay, anything else for Nick?
51:49No, it's been great.
51:50Thank you so much, man.
51:51It's been great.
51:52Thank you so much.
51:53It was so much fun.
51:54And we'll be back next week.
