00:44Divisional round of the playoffs, fellas.
00:46How we doing? How we doing today?
00:48Vibes are good?
00:49Yeah, fired up.
00:50This is the best round because you got, you know, final eight teams.
00:54Teams that have a bye. Teams that have already won a playoff game.
00:57I love this round.
00:59I do too. There's no flukes here. These are eight good football teams.
01:02We're going to see some really good football. I can't wait. Let's go.
01:05We've got Will in his 51 jersey down here. Made some appearances this week.
01:09Will, how you doing?
01:11Doing well. I think, to piggyback off them,
01:14I think we're going to get blessed with some points this weekend.
01:16Last weekend, you know, some games, they were kind of one-sided.
01:20The Commander's Bucks was really the only fun game to watch.
01:23A lot of undershitting. I think we're going to get a lot of points this weekend.
01:26A lot of blowouts last weekend, but it's okay.
01:28Still football. And then the records, Will, you went one,
01:31or you went three, two, three, and one against a spread.
01:34Dan, you went three and three against spread.
01:35And then, Coach, you went five and one straight up.
01:37I just want to say one game specifically I was dead right on is the Buffalo Bills.
01:44I picked Buffalo to win.
01:46I know, but you were talking about the Broncos, Broncos this, Broncos that.
01:50It was 13-7, Dan.
01:51It was 13-7 midway through the third quarter.
01:54And then what happened?
01:56Fourth and one, Josh Allen makes the greatest play in history.
02:00Some guy named Ty Johnson, he catches it.
02:03Other than that, it was a close game.
02:04Did you not know Josh Allen was playing in that game?
02:06I did. I did know that.
02:08I'm sensitive to fate, and I love the Broncos.
02:10And also, to be fair, you did say it was a hot take.
02:12Yeah, and also, the Broncos had an incredible season.
02:15The arrows pointing up for them, like, you know,
02:18I think what we found in the wild card weekend is there's levels to this.
02:22And, you know, the Broncos had an incredible season.
02:24The Chargers had a great season.
02:26Some of these teams, when you're talking about, like,
02:29going up against the Bills, the Ravens, the Chiefs, the Lions, the Eagles,
02:32there's just levels, you know?
02:33And those teams are on a different level.
02:35And it's not that they didn't have a good season.
02:37It's just they're not at that level yet.
02:38But did the Chargers surprise you?
02:40Because, I mean, obviously, like, them losing to the Texans, that one was,
02:43like, you talk about the levels.
02:45Like, losing to the Texans the way they did was crazy.
02:47Yeah, it really shocked me, and it really disappointed me.
02:50Yeah.
02:51And it got my attention that maybe Houston's a little bit better
02:53than what I thought.
02:54But I'll say this.
02:55I was in there with you guys for three days.
02:57And Compton was in town.
02:59Now he's on Zoom.
03:00He's such a big-timer.
03:01These guys have so many parlays, bets.
03:05I mean, they lose their ass.
03:06I mean, they lost 38 bets.
03:08And they're criticizing me for being five and one against the money line.
03:12Well, isn't it all about winning, Will Big Cat?
03:15It's true.
03:17I think the moment that Coach Gruden was like,
03:19what the hell are these guys talking about?
03:21It was on Saturday night.
03:23Jerry popped up, and he's like, oh, my god.
03:25I'm about to win 70 grand.
03:27And they're like, what do you need?
03:28And he listed, like, five more.
03:29Yeah.
03:30I'm like, no, you aren't.
03:31I know.
03:32Jersey Jerry, I had to sit next to him.
03:34He was suicidal for the whole fourth quarter.
03:37I just couldn't wait for him to leave.
03:38And that's how he has this job.
03:39I was reluctant about coming back.
03:40These guys really have a hard time.
03:42You can see it.
03:43As the streams went on Sunday, Gruden was halfway across the court.
03:46I know.
03:47I can't tell you.
03:49These guys are very irresponsible.
03:51So if you're listening at home, listen to me.
03:53Be careful what else you hear.
03:55There's definitely a moment when everybody starts working at Barstool
03:58when they realize, like, what the hell did I sign up for?
04:00You had that moment.
04:02But before we started, Will mentioned he was like, coach gets to go five and one
04:06straight up.
04:07And you're like, yeah, because I'm a winner, and you're a loser.
04:08Yeah.
04:09That's a fact.
04:09That's what it is.
04:10We're losers, Will.
04:11Yeah, you do got to gamble responsibility,
04:13because I'm losing my ass on every parlay.
04:17Every parlay on Saturday, I'm losing my ass.
04:19And Dan just sips me off.
04:20He's like, you ever done ladder bets?
04:22Yeah.
04:22And I'm like, what if we did hit it?
04:25Yeah, we did hit it.
04:26Derrick Henry.
04:27Game flow ladder bets.
04:29Just pound the rock.
04:29Game flow ladder bets.
04:30The Willie playoff parlay losing in the very first leg was just so classic.
04:35Yes.
04:36Just very, very classic.
04:37I know.
04:38Chargers, that was a very surprising game, because they jump out.
04:42They jump out on the Texans 6-0.
04:43But we're all kind of sitting there like, hey, you want to turn three into seven.
04:47That should be 14-0.
04:48And if you're the Texans, the way the ball's not bouncing your way,
04:51you played your worst quarter of football.
04:53And to be sitting there down 6-0, you're on the sideline thinking, hey, guys,
04:56we can run up on these boys.
04:57And then they go 32 unanswered.
04:59Like, that was surprising.
05:00And Coach Gruden saying it the entire stream,
05:02why does Herbert keep trying the boy Stingley out there at cornerback?
05:06I know.
05:08So speaking of the Texans, let's get right into the Storyline Game of the Week
05:11presented by the Chevy Silverado.
05:12The Texans going to Kansas City.
05:14Kansas City, minus 8.5.
05:17Coach, I'll start with you.
05:18So obviously, we know what the Chiefs are capable of.
05:21What you saw from the Texans last week, do you think that that carries over
05:25against the Chiefs?
05:26Outside, it's cold.
05:27They're used to playing indoors.
05:28Like, did we see a different team last week?
05:30Or do you think this can carry over?
05:33I think the Chiefs are going to win this game handily, personally.
05:36I just think there is a dome aspect to this.
05:39I don't like going outside at Arrowhead.
05:41We saw these two teams play a month ago in Kansas City.
05:45They didn't have a lot of problems with the Houston Texans.
05:48Andy Reid coming off a bye big cat.
05:51He's 29 and 3 all the time.
05:53Mahomes is healthy.
05:54Remember, he had the ankle.
05:55Pacheco's healthy.
05:57Chris Jones hasn't played since Week 15.
05:59They have Marquise Brown back.
06:01They have a full contingent of wideouts and two weeks to prepare.
06:04God help anybody that's walking in there.
06:06I don't care if it's a 75 Steelers.
06:09Yeah.
06:09Chiefs are going to roll and show who they really are, I think, in this game.
06:13Yeah.
06:14I know Will is going to take the Texans because he's an idiot, but let's not do that.
06:19He hates the Chiefs.
06:20He hates the Chiefs.
06:20He does hate the Chiefs, but let's not do that because here's the thing with the Chiefs.
06:24You said it perfectly.
06:26They're getting healthy.
06:27Pacheco being back.
06:28The last time we saw the Chiefs playing their number ones,
06:32Patrick Mahomes completed a pass to eight different guys.
06:35Juju Smith-Schuster is back with the Chiefs.
06:38DeAndre Hopkins has had some time to work with Patrick Mahomes.
06:41Hollywood Brown.
06:43Xavier Worthy, you've seen his catch share go up and up and up,
06:47and they've started working him in, and this is also when Travis Kelsey turns it on.
06:51Yes.
06:51This is when Travis Kelsey, if the Chiefs get into, this is why the Chiefs are the Chiefs.
06:56If they get into a third and five or less, it's automatic.
07:00It's either Patrick Mahomes' legs or finding Travis Kelsey,
07:03and the big thing with the Chiefs' defense is their stud cornerback,
07:07Jalen Watson, is going to be back, and that helps a vulnerable spot for their defense.
07:13Don't overthink it.
07:14Great season from the Texans.
07:16Great playoff win.
07:18There's a reason why the Chiefs had the bye.
07:20They're much better.
07:21That's the best performance I've heard from you in my career at Barstool.
07:25I mean, you couldn't have said it any better.
07:26I'm 100%.
07:27Also, I'll just throw this in there because, again,
07:29I want Dodo Brain to say that he can take the Texans.
07:33Patrick Mahomes in the divisional round, 6-0, 1,813 total yards,
07:4116 total touchdowns, zero interceptions, 70% completion percentage.
07:48That is not only Patrick Mahomes being great, but when you get, like I said,
07:51with levels, the divisional round, the Chiefs are always at a different level
07:55than whoever's coming into arrowhead.
07:56This is one of those, like, you don't get rich betting against the Chiefs
07:59in the divisional round.
08:00It's going to be the Chiefs or the Chiefs.
08:02Yeah, last thing I'll say about Mahomes, I've gone up against him.
08:05I've seen him on the other sideline.
08:07He has a state of rage about him that you would appreciate.
08:09Yeah.
08:10Yeah.
08:11I know this for a fact.
08:12He is pissed off he didn't make the Pro Bowl.
08:14Yep.
08:14I take this team to 15-1.
08:16You tell me I'm not in the Pro Bowl.
08:18Let me show you what I got.
08:19I guarantee you he's got a chip on his shoulder.
08:22He's got plenty of time to prepare.
08:24Look out, Houston.
08:25Houston, we have a problem, Will.
08:27All right, Dodo Brain.
08:29So, Will, are you taking the Houston Texans?
08:32I'm taking a lot of unnecessary shots right now.
08:34If we've learned anything this last week, it's that you can flip your fandom
08:37and be okay with it.
08:38I'm going with the Chiefs.
08:40I like the Chiefs this week.
08:41I think if I could talk about the Texans and the shot that they might have,
08:45like, obviously, they've lost Tank Dale.
08:47They've lost a lot of weapons.
08:48Joe Domeickson's going to have to get involved with the pass game along with
08:51running the football like he does very well.
08:53And then also the D-line, Autry, Will Anderson, and Daniel Hunter,
08:58they're going to have to get after these tackles asses because these tackles aren't
09:01as good as what they just faced this past week with Slater and Alt.
09:05You got Joe Tooney.
09:06He's a good player.
09:07They're moving him out there.
09:07And then Jawan Taylor, they're really going to have to get after the
09:09right side if they want to have a shot to stay in this game.
09:12But I do feel like it is the Chiefs.
09:14I feel like they handle this easy.
09:16The great thing about this weekend with all the outdoor games is that it's all
09:19going to be freezing cold weathers.
09:20I think the Chiefs are going to thrive.
09:22And even though the starters haven't played in 24 days, Andy Reid,
09:27he keeps them on schedule very well.
09:29I see them handling this game.
09:30I see them covering.
09:31I see them handling this game.
09:32I see them really, you want to get to, who knows who's going to come out of the
09:36bills, Ravens.
09:37But if you get a nice Chiefs, I'm going to say Ravens because I'm taking Ravens
09:41and then we'll get to the NFC.
09:43You could have the four best teams sitting there at a conference
09:45championship weekend.
09:46I think we're going to have that.
09:47That's growth, Will.
09:49That's growth.
09:50Because you are a Chiefs hater, but you recognize the situation.
09:54Yeah.
09:55And yesterday, around noon, I had in my brain that it was going to be Texans over
09:59the Chiefs 27 and 24.
10:01But the more we kept talking about it, I'm like, Chiefs are going to whip this
10:04team.
10:06Houston's been too inconsistent all year.
10:07They're going to walk into this.
10:09Chiefs are ready to go.
10:10Spags is going to have that defense rolling.
10:13Yeah, I think they're going to kill them.
10:15That was going to be my next question is, when did he decide to do that?
10:17Because you know he went into this week thinking he was going to take the Texans.
10:19Well, that's what I did, too.
10:20I did the same thing where I was like, ooh, I love the Texans, 8 and a half.
10:23It's like, no, it's the Chiefs.
10:24And what they do time and time again.
10:27Big K, your tweet, what was it, yesterday?
10:29You had a tweet of like, fuck myself and the Texans, but we all know that the
10:33Chiefs are going to win by two scores comfortably or something like that.
10:35Right, right.
10:36That's exactly what we all have gone through.
10:38Just take the Chiefs.
10:39100%.
10:40Let's go to the playbook pick of the week presented by DraftKings.
10:43There's only a few weeks left of football, but we are in the thick of the
10:45best time on the football calendar with the playoffs happening right now in
10:48college and the NFL as well.
10:50Get in on the action right now with our partner at DraftKings.

11:03Okay, the Commanders at the Lions.
11:06Dan, the Lions minus 8.5.
11:08We obviously know the Lions had the bye week.
11:09The Commanders get the three-point win over the Buccaneers.
11:12Who are you taking?
11:14I'm passing to Will.
11:15Oh.
11:18Is Will going to pass?
11:19I like the Lions.
11:20No, I'm not going to pass.
11:22I like the Lions.
11:22These are two of the most efficient offenses in the league.
11:26The Lions haven't scored less than 20 all season.
11:28They've put up 30 plus 10 different times this year.
11:32Both these teams go for it on fourth down.
11:33It's kind of surprising to see that the Commanders are more successful than the
11:36Lions because we know how good the Lions are on fourth down.
11:39But I think it's the Lions.
11:40I think you look at every position group, the only arguable position where it's
11:44like they could be a toss-up is between Jared Goff and Jane Daniels on who's
11:48going to play better.
11:49But everywhere else across the board, the Lions have way more talent.
11:52They're much hungrier.
11:54Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn, possibly even for head coaching jobs, like this
11:58is so all-in for the Lions and playing at Detroit.
12:01I think they have too much.
12:02And I think their entire game plan is going to be, hey, you attack the head,
12:07the body will follow.
12:08If you can keep Jane Daniels at bay, which is a tall task, but you know Coach
12:13Groot in that defensive room, anytime he runs the ball, anytime he's got his
12:16hands on that football, you put a lick on him because we want to make this a
12:20physical game because it's going to be all about Jane Daniels.
12:23If the Lions lack a little bit with Goff, they have so many different ways to
12:26beat you.
12:27I just, I like the Lions.
12:29They're getting Anzalone back.
12:30I think the defense is going to be hungry for this challenge.
12:32I like the Lions.
12:33Coach?
12:34I like the Lions to win.
12:35I think it's going to be a heck of a game.
12:37I am so impressed with Jane Daniels.
12:40I can't tell you.
12:40I mean, this guy's scary.
12:42I guarantee you the Lions are sitting there.
12:44I remember doing this, watching a playoff game to see who we play.
12:48All the Lions staff and players deep down, they're rooting for Tampa Bay to win.
12:52They did not want to see number five roll into Detroit.
12:55He's the equalizer.
12:56You can have the perfect defense, the perfect coverage, and he beats your ass
13:00anyway.
13:01And they're going to give them four downs to do it.
13:03They know they're playing with house money.
13:05McLaurin's a big-time receiver.
13:07And their defense, big cat, they're playing way over their head.
13:10Yeah, they are.
13:11I look at their defense.
13:11They got championship character with Bobby Wagner.
13:15You know that, Will Compton.
13:16Frankie Lou Vu.
13:18They're playing over their head.
13:20I like them to keep this game close.
13:22I think it's going to be high scoring.
13:23I still think all the injuries that Detroit has on defense will eventually
13:28catch up with them.
13:29It's not going to get them a loss this week, but it's going to keep this game
13:32real close.
13:33Yeah, I'm struggling with this game because I think the Lions, obviously the
13:38Lions are better.
13:39And I do think that this is a good matchup.
13:41The commanders play a lot of man-to-man.
13:43Jared Goff just eats that alive.
13:45He's by far the best quarterback in that setup.
13:47They have so many weapons.
13:50I just keep going back to Jaden Daniels and just how special he is.
13:54And Aaron Glenn, and I know this because, you know, obviously the Bears played the
13:59Lions twice a year, and Justin Fields was the quarterback for the last couple
14:02years.
14:03He does struggle a little, his defense, with running quarterbacks.
14:06And that has been kind of an Achilles heel for them where a guy can make plays
14:10with his feet, especially in those third, fourth down situations.
14:15Jerry, what do you got?
14:16Yeah, I was about to...
14:16Commanders.
14:17Commanders.
14:18Yeah.
14:18Okay, I'm taking the commanders and the points.
14:20I'm taking the commanders and the points.
14:21I got to get behind PFT.
14:22To win.
14:23No, no.
14:24That doesn't help.
14:25That's not a football argument.
14:27You're saying you got to get behind PFT.
14:28Well, no, there's a couple reasons why I like them.
14:30I think Gruden's right and you're right.
14:32I think Jaden Daniels is the X factor.
14:33I think he's going to beat them a lot with his legs.
14:35I don't like how the commanders are in the red zone, but Detroit's defense isn't
14:40that great.
14:41They're really not.
14:41They're banged up.
14:42I think it's a close game.
14:44I think the Lions are going to win, but that's too many points.
14:46I think it's too many points, yeah.
14:48So, Dan, you're taking that, too?
14:49I'm going to take it.
14:50We ended up going—sorry, go ahead.
14:52No, no, you go.
14:54I was going to say, to Jerry's point, too, we got in the foxhole with Jerry last week
14:57with the Steelers.
14:58Sometimes you just got to ride—
14:59You didn't get in the foxhole.
15:01You bet Derrick Henry rushing yards.
15:02Yeah, because the game was over and you couldn't stop the run, dude.
15:06That's not the foxhole.
15:06This is what I got to deal with.
15:08Take the money line and the Lions and win.
15:12Win.
15:13That's what we do here.
15:14Jerry's trying to shame us for making money, Will.
15:17Yeah, Derrick Henry's going to run for—he'd still be running if they were playing that game.
15:21I am going to take the Commander's Plus 8.5.
15:22I think that I'm with Coach Gruden that I think the Lions are going to win this game,
15:25but Jadon Daniels does have that special magic that I think this team believes,
15:31and they'll give him a fight.
15:32They'll give him a fight.
15:33And I also love this game because I think both teams are just going to go for it on fourth down
15:37the entire time.
15:38I'll tell you what, though, you know this, Will Compton, you're in that meeting the night before
15:41the game, and not only do we have Jadon Daniels, you look over there,
15:44and there is Bobby Wagner.
15:46Thirteen years in a row, he's had over 100 tackles.
15:50Over here is sitting Zach Ertz.
15:51He's one of the premier pass-receiving tight ends.
15:54Then you look over here is Austin Eckler.
15:56Try covering him on a choice route out of the backfield.
15:59And they have McLaurin.
16:00They got some veteran guys that are not going to back down to anybody,
16:04and I think they're scary here.
16:05Yeah.
16:05You were mentioning what you have to deal with.
16:06There are multiple times during the Steelers game I was watching the stream that you gave
16:10Jerry looks like, I don't know where I am right now.
16:12That was quite a scene.
16:13That happened.
16:14I didn't know if I should give Jerry a hug.
16:17He needed a Snickers bar.
16:18You ever see the Snickers commercial?
16:20Yes.
16:20Yeah, that's what he needs.
16:21Yes.
16:22All right, let's go to the Fireball Rapid Fire game of the week.
16:25This segment is presented by Fireball Whiskey.
16:27Of course, it's going to be very cold in Philadelphia.
16:29It's going to be snowing, so there's nothing better than a warm-up with Fireball.
16:33Dan, why don't you – it's warmer today in Chicago, but it's about to be like –
16:35Yes, 40 degrees.
16:36It's going to be like 7 degrees next week, thanks to Fireball.
16:39And Fireball Whiskey is here to give you the spark to ignite that rivalry all season long.
16:42Grab your football buddy, buy a round, reignite the rivalry flame.
16:46Okay, the Rams at the Eagles.
16:48Eagles minus six.
16:49Will, I will start with you.
16:50Rams getting a win over the Vikings last week.
16:52Eagles getting a win over the Packers.
16:54Who are you taking?
16:57I think it's – you watch the way the Rams played last week.
17:01Their passing offense kept them alive offensively.
17:04And then on defense, you have nine sacks from six different players.
17:07Like, this young crew that we've talked about the back half of the year with Fisk,
17:11Turner, Young, and Vers.
17:12I think they have a big task if they want to keep the Rams in the game.
17:16But going out to Philadelphia, in the cold, you're looking at a wintry mix.
17:20It might be rain.
17:20It might be snow.
17:22Stafford is two and four in January.
17:23He's one and six in the rain.
17:25I just – I think the Eagles have a lot.
17:27They have the number one pass defense in the game.
17:29And I like the Eagles.
17:31I don't know how you're going to stop Saquon Barkley all game.
17:34And then if you stack the box, like if you make it easy for them to dish it out to
17:37Devontae Smith, A.J. Brown, I think they have too many weapons.
17:42And I think this is where the Rams come up short.
17:43So I'm going to take the Eagles.
17:44Coach, where do you land?
17:46That's well said.
17:47I really want to take the Rams.
17:49The McVay-Stafford World Championship combination.
17:52Their offensive line is finally healthy.
17:54Havenstein's back at right tackle.
17:56Avila's back at left guard.
17:58They were hurt all year.
17:59Their receivers are all playing together for the first time.
18:02I mean, you see Higby last week.
18:04He looked good.
18:05The Kua, Kup, Kyron Williams are all playing together.
18:09And their defense is emerging.
18:10They've given up 10 points or less these last four games since Saquon ripped them
18:14for 255 yards.
18:16The Rams are playing really good.
18:18It is in Philly.
18:20The outdoor aspect of this bothers me with the Rams.
18:24I'm going to take the Eagles in a low-scoring, ugly win.
18:29But I do like the Rams.
18:30They've made a lot of progress this last month.
18:32And they are dangerous just like Washington.
18:34Yeah.
18:35So I'm going to Eagles as well.
18:37I think this game comes down to the fact that as good as the Rams' defensive line
18:41is, they're a little lighter.
18:43And that offensive line for the Eagles are going to lean on them, lean on them,
18:46lean on them.
18:48And those big chunk plays that Saquon gets are going to be open later on in the game.
18:53And I just, it's the Eagles' defense too.
18:57Like that defense, I know they lost N'Kobe Dean.
18:59That's significant.
19:00But Vic Fangio, he's such a good coach.
19:03And he's played Sean McVay's offenses twice.
19:06I was looking back.
19:07It was twice.
19:07It was the 2018 season when the Rams came to Chicago.
19:11And he completely shut them down.
19:13And then this year, the Eagles were able to run the ball, control the game,
19:16and limit the Rams' offense.
19:19I think it's the defense.
19:20I think it's the running game.
19:23And I look back at that game last week with the Eagles and Packers,
19:26and I was disappointed that the Eagles' game plan just,
19:29it looked like they were stuck in mud.
19:31But part of it is, a team like that, with that defense and that running game,
19:35when they get out 10-0 like that, they're going to change how they play.
19:39They're going to try to shorten the game.
19:41They're not going to do as many explosives.
19:43So I'm saying that was more of a, hey,
19:47the game script allowed them to just play a little bit more vanilla.
19:49This week, they're going to open it up a little bit more,
19:51and you're going to see some more explosives.
19:53I got to be honest, Big Cat.
19:54I was watching the Eagles' offense.
19:57I was in my office, and my wife came in, and she said, are you all right?
20:00Do you have appendicitis or something?
20:02I was going, oh!
20:04And I go, damn!
20:06Damn it!
20:07She goes, what?
20:07I said, we ought to see Dickerson, the left guard, on the second level.
20:11Blaster one of these linebacksers.
20:12Such a football guy.
20:13McKay Beckton on the second level.
20:15I mean, he decapitated.
20:16A guy's head fell off.
20:18The Eagles' offensive line, they will maul you and destroy you.
20:22They got three pearl bowlers, and their left tackles the best in the league.
20:25He's not even one of them.
20:26Yeah.
20:27They are awesome up front, and they're well-coached.
20:29God help anybody that's got to line up across from those guys.
20:32And you know it must have been something,
20:33because your wife's probably used to you reacting that way to football,
20:36and even she was alarmed.
20:37Usually, I'm screaming at our film.
20:39You're like, what are we doing?
20:41God, we're bad!
20:43And to build on that, earlier in the year, when they beat them 37 to 10,
20:47it's closer to halftime, and to Big Cat's point,
20:49that physical offensive line of the Eagles,
20:52they just leaned on them in the second half and ran away with it.
20:55Yeah.
20:56Yeah.
20:56They've got some dudes up front.
20:58Some dudes.
20:59I guess they do.
21:00Dudes.

21:24So Jerry Ruffles is back, huh?
21:26Yeah, superstar, lover, want to know.
21:28Want to know.
21:28Wait, Ruffles won last week?
21:30Yeah, Ravens.
21:31Oh, yeah, that's right.
21:33Ravens at the Bills.
21:34Let's see what Ruffles picks this week.
21:39All right, pro football football show, Jerry's Picking Zoo.
21:43We got Buffalo against Baltimore.
21:46Buffalo the home dog here, plus one and a half.
21:48I've been at this with Ruffles probably about an hour now, just refusing to treat.
21:54Ruffles.
21:56Come on, get a cookie.
21:56Come on.
21:58There she is over there.
21:58You see her?
21:59Scared of treats.
22:00I apologize, but this is, I regret doing this, but we're about 50 takes in,
22:07and it just doesn't want to treat, hates treats.
22:10So I'll be, I'll do the treat.
22:16Or Baltimore, which one?
22:28Oh, get a cookie.
22:31Get a cookie.
22:34Here, Buffalo.
22:36Ruffles, come here.
22:37Have a cookie.
22:38You'd licked it already.
22:40Ruffles, come on.
22:42God, I can't believe I'm about to do this.
22:43No, you're not.
22:44No, you're not.
22:48What are you doing, Jerry?
22:55Buffalo.
22:58Oh, my gosh.
23:03What is wrong with you?
23:07So that dog made you think you needed to eat it?
23:09I was trying to give the fans what they want.
23:11They want to give me treats.
23:12That was so good.
23:13Do you believe you work here?
23:14No.
23:15That's what, it's a summary of what I do, what I'm discovering.
23:19Me too.
23:20OK, so Coach, the Ravens at the Bills, are you rolling with Jerry?
23:24This game has taken a lot of my week.
23:27I've really enjoyed preparing for this one.
23:30Two of the great quarterbacks.
23:31I think whoever wins this game should be the MVP, Lamar or Josh.
23:36Let's summarize it that way.
23:37But I'm going to take Buffalo because they're playing at home.
23:41It's going to be 12 degrees, negative 2 wind chill factor.
23:44And I have seen Josh Allen throw it behind his back left-handed.
23:48The cold weather doesn't bother him one bit.
23:51The ball distribution in Buffalo is incredible.
23:54They can throw it to 10 different receivers.
23:56They can hand it to three different backs.
23:58Their offensive line is damn good.
24:00And defensively, I just think, after Baltimore drilled them
24:05the first time, they didn't have Matt Milano.
24:07They didn't have Bernard.
24:08They didn't have Teron Johnson.
24:10And now they're at home, and they're watching that tape all week.
24:13And they're going, Derek Henry ripped us for 90 yards on the first play.
24:18We didn't crack and replace.
24:20Rasul Douglas, you didn't make that tackle.
24:22And I know they're just like, oh, I'm going to get him this time.
24:25So I think Buffalo is going to raise the bar about 16 levels.
24:28The crowd is going to be insane.
24:30Yep.
24:30And we all know Lamar needs this, I think, to turn the corner.
24:35And there's a lot of pressure on these Ravens
24:38to win the Super Bowl with their MVP, Lamar Jackson.
24:41I think Buffalo is going to win a tight game.
24:43Yeah, and Coach, I mean, you mentioned it.
24:45Derek Henry had his best performance of the season last time.
24:47They played almost 200 yards on 24 carries, Dan.
24:49Like, the defense is going to want to remember that.
24:51Yeah, I mean, he was awesome.
24:53But what Coach said, and I had this written down as well,
24:57Matt Milano, Johnson, Bernard.
24:59Those guys are very key.
25:00That's a linebacker and two cornerbacks.
25:01They're very key to the run game and stopping the run game.
25:04I think that will be a difference than what you see.
25:07I also think Sean McDermott is in that level of defensive coaches
25:10that he will have a wrinkle or two.
25:12He's going to throw something at the Ravens that will confuse Lamar,
25:16that will slow down that offense a little, especially without Zay Flowers.
25:19Looks like he's not going to play.
25:21And that's really what it comes down to.
25:22A game with these two teams, if you can steal one possession,
25:25that could be the ball game.
25:26You know, if you throw something at them that they don't expect,
25:29that could be the ball game.
25:30I also want to say one quick thing about the Ravens' defense,
25:33which has turned a corner and has been incredible
25:35the last, you know, six, seven weeks of the season.
25:38The last five weeks of the season, the teams they played,
25:42the Cleveland Browns, 32nd in offensive DVOA,
25:46the Houston Texans, 26th in offensive DVOA,
25:49the Pittsburgh Steelers, 19th in offensive DVOA,
25:52the Giants, 28th in offensive DVOA,
25:55the Eagles, who they lost to, 13th.
25:57My point is this.
25:58They have obviously turned some things around,
26:00putting Kyle Hamilton in the back,
26:02but they have not been tested like the Buffalo Bills offense will test them.
26:06And that's really the difference.
26:07Like that, the Bills offense, like you said,
26:10they got so many options, and Josh Allen,
26:13they got so many guys they can throw to,
26:15so many guys they can run to,
26:16and then if all else fails, Josh Allen can just be Superman.
26:19So I'm going to take the Bills as well, at home, plus one and a half.
26:22Will?
26:24I honestly feel like you guys just talked me into the Bills,
26:26but I'm sticking with the Ravens.
26:28You guys alluded to him earlier, but having Milano back,
26:30he's the olive oil that sets the dish.
26:33He runs around on defense, he's a leader,
26:35I love watching him play.
26:36I just, in my mind, I felt like this is such a,
26:39this is a legacy game for Lamar Jackson.
26:41He gets put in this position year after year,
26:43and he needs to turn the corner.
26:46And having Derrick Henry and having that run game,
26:48which opens it up with their tight ends, likely,
26:50and Andrews, I just, you know,
26:52the Bills bringing Anthony Brown off the street
26:55to kind of mimic Lamar Jackson in practice this week.
26:58He's such an explosive player,
27:00and if Lamar is on any bit of his game,
27:02I think the Ravens win this game because they have,
27:04they have the run game with Derrick Henry.
27:06They have the defense, even though you do bring up
27:08an incredible stat there, Big Cat,
27:09with the types of offenses that they played as of late,
27:12but it does build the confidence in that room,
27:14no matter what offense is getting rolled out there in the NFL,
27:17to where, you know, you hope they keep some type
27:20of that success against Josh Allen because he is Superman,
27:23but I'm going to stick with the Baltimore Ravens.
27:26Okay. Good speech.
27:28Yes. I mean, I'm excited for this game.
27:30Yeah, this game is awesome.
27:31Yeah, this was amazing.
27:33How about Deontay Johnson getting signed by the Ravens?
27:36I know. For the compensatory pick.
27:37Have you seen that stuff?
27:38Yeah. Yeah. He's, I mean,
27:40how many teams was he on this year?
27:42Four. Four.
27:43Well, Texans cut him last week
27:45because he was crying after the game and the Texans won.
27:48So they shipped him out of there.
27:50Ravens signed him.
27:51He's not even practicing or nothing
27:52because they're basically using him as a business asset
27:54to get a compensatory pick.
27:55Yeah. Crazy.
27:57You know, one really cool thing to look for in this game
28:00is I watch Buffalo play defense.
28:02They play a nickel defense on first and second down
28:0590% of the time.
28:06They don't care what you put out there.
28:08That's uncommon.
28:09You got five little guys out there.
28:11Yep. Now, when Derrick Henry walks out there,
28:13let me tell you something.
28:14Will, you played against him.
28:15This guy's 265 pounds.
28:17You don't want a bunch of little guys out there.
28:19Right. So does Buffalo play a base defense,
28:23take one of those DBs out,
28:24and play a defense we haven't played all year
28:27so we can get another linebacker out there
28:29to hold up against Derrick Henry?
28:31The other thing is the Ravens have committed 132 penalties.
28:36Yep. That's kind of like you and Jerry watching games.
28:38You guys are out of bounds.
28:40Yep. And when you hear this,
28:42hey, I joined the Bills Mafia.
28:44I got a shirt.
28:45They sent it to me, Gruden on the back.
28:47I am all aboard the Bills.
28:49This crowd is loud, man.
28:51Yeah. They can distract you.
28:52They can force penalties,
28:53and the Ravens got to be really careful.
28:55132 penalties, big cat.
28:57Yep. That's a lot of penalties.
28:58That's a lot of penalties. And on the road,
29:00that doesn't travel very well.
29:01Yeah, that's the difference between this game
29:02when the teams are this close.
29:04Have you guys ever heard the thing they say in Buffalo?
29:06What? How do they do it, Jerry?
29:08You've seen it. Let's go, Buffalo.
29:09Oh, yeah.
29:11Let's go, Buffalo. Let's go, Buffalo.
29:14Let's do that.
29:15During the game, I'm going to be cheering with you guys.
29:18I'm going to drive you guys out of your freaking mind.
29:20Yeah.
29:20Would you ever let them put you through a table in Buffalo?
29:22Oh, I would not. I've already got a new hip.
29:24Okay.
29:25And a bad elbow.
29:26You're part of the Bills Mafia,
29:27but not go through a table part of the Bills Mafia.
29:29Fair enough.
29:30I'm not like that.
29:31They're built different in Buffalo.
29:33All right, Dan. Hot takes for divisional round.
29:35You got one?
29:36Hmm. Do I have a hot take?
29:39Yeah, you know what?
29:40A.J. Brown, 100 yards and a touchdown
29:43after the whole book controversy.
29:45I think he's a little injured,
29:47but I think this is kind of how A.J. Brown goes,
29:50where it's like there's a little minor controversy,
29:53then he plays well, and then it happens again.
29:55I think we're back in the swing of
29:56he's going to have a big game against the Rams.
29:58Will, have you read that book that he was reading?
29:59That seems like a book you would read.
30:02No, I haven't read it.
30:04I have not read that book.
30:05I thought it was funny that he's pulling it out,
30:07you know, mid-game and everything else.
30:09I'm sure it's a great book,
30:10and I'm sure it's great for his mental and everything else,
30:12but I had a nice little chuckle
30:13when I saw him just sitting on the sideline
30:15reading a book in the middle of a game.
30:16Yeah, as a coach, what'd you think?
30:18Coach, you wouldn't be letting that fly out.
30:19What if somebody put that to you?
30:21Hey, there's a book on the sideline.
30:23However it is, you're best receiver.
30:24I was very critical of that on Shred Radio last week,
30:27but I might start reading that book myself, you know?
30:31He had one catch.
30:32A.J. had one catch during the game, let's be honest.
30:35He's probably not real happy they're not throwing a ball,
30:37so whatever you need to do, self-help videos or books,
30:40whatever, I really don't care anymore.
30:43Speaking of, Dan, have you started reading your books yet?
30:45I have not. I still got to pick one.
30:47Will, you need to pick one for me.
30:48Hey, long year.
30:49Yeah, long year. A lot of days left.
30:51A lot of days left in the year.
30:52Yeah, a lot of days left. We're okay.
30:54Coach, you got a hot take?
30:56My hot take is the L.A. Rams.
30:59I'm going to go back to that game last week against Minnesota.
31:02They're playing for more than just a playoff win.
31:05They're playing for the city of Los Angeles.
31:07Did you feel that?
31:08Yes.
31:09That was emotional, man.
31:10Yeah, the way they came out.
31:10It galvanized them.
31:12We talked about it last week.
31:13They kicked Minnesota's ass.
31:15They did.
31:15They were playing for the city of L.A.
31:17I think my hot take is the Rams.
31:20Matt Stafford shreds the Eagles' number one defense.
31:24They got the receivers to do it.
31:26Higby is back.
31:27They can run it.
31:29I'm telling you, McVay is a sharp cat, man.
31:32I'm going to use that as my hot take.
31:35The Rams go to Philly and shock the Eagles,
31:38kind of like Rocky Balboa did years ago.
31:41Love it. Love it.
31:43Will, can you follow that up?
31:45No, I cannot follow that up.
31:47I think mine is just Travis Kelsey comes alive.
31:49He's obviously playoff with Travis for a reason.
31:51I got him catching a couple touchdowns.
31:53I think the Chiefs absolutely handled the Texans.
31:55And kind of to go off what you were saying about,
31:58who is the team that's the Baltimore Ravens
32:00being very penalized going into Buffalo?
32:03The Texans are the same way going into Kansas City.
32:05It's going to be rocking.
32:06I think the Chiefs blow out the Texans.
32:09And Travis Kelsey has two touchdowns.
32:12Okay. Okay.
32:13All right, so, Dan, you won last week
32:15the Survivor Pool pick.
32:16So, right now, Will and Dan are tied at two.
32:19Jerry, you have one point.
32:21So, how are we doing?
32:22I mean, Jerry's got to win, and we got to both lose.
32:24Yeah, Jerry, you have to win this week.
32:25You want me to go first, Dan?
32:27No, I'll go first. I'll go first.
32:28No, I'll go first. I'll go first, though.
32:30I know, but I'll go first.
32:31I won. I'll go first.
32:33All right.
32:35I'm going to take the Chiefs minus 8 1⁄2.
32:36Okay. Jerry?
32:38I'll go Bills.
32:39Bills. And then Will.
32:42I will go...
32:46I'll go Ravens.
32:48Okay, so, we'll get...
32:49Something will happen. Something will shake out here.
32:52Yeah, something will happen.
32:52Jerry has to win in order to stay alive for the Super Bowl.
32:55Yes. Yes.
32:56Okay. Anything else for the divisional round?
