00:00I mean, honestly, Carver Heights still has NFL skinny, which is huge.
00:09Yeah.
00:10I just have a couple of other things and then we're going to move on for the rest of Coast
00:14to Coast.
00:15Arizona All-Pro Safety Buda Baker, three-year extension, $54 million, $30 million guaranteed
00:22for him.
00:23That's a nice payday.
00:24We did that story about Teddy Bridgewater coaching the high school football team and
00:28then winning the state championship and they outscored teams by like 300 to one.
00:33I don't know where he should stick to the coaching career.
00:36He's going to come out of retirement to make a return to the NFL after winning that state
00:42title.
00:43Why?
00:44You just start the coaching career.
00:46What are we doing here?
00:47Why?
00:48Yeah.
00:49Yeah.
00:50I don't understand.
00:51Yeah.
00:52Somebody gave him bad advice.
00:53You know, he had maybe went down for breakfast and someone started talking to him in his
00:57ear about how great he is and that you got to give it one more run, get the money while
01:02you can.
01:03He's doing just fine at Northwestern, wins the state championship.
01:05Now he's going to go back to what?
01:07Standing on the sideline.
01:08Well, when I, when I first, yeah, when I first read it, I almost thought it was a joke.
01:13Like it was like, it was almost like that.
01:16Now this was a real story, obviously, but remember Disney did the movie about the guy
01:20who coached the high school baseball team and then he got, uh, they, they won the title.
01:26So the kids told him he had to try out to be a pitcher again.
01:29Uh, Jim Morris, right?
01:31Morris, that guy.
01:32And he went and he went and got signed by Tampa cause he was still throwing 98 when
01:36he was like 40 years old.
01:38I thought it was like that.
01:39Like his kids, this, the kids must've put him up to this.
01:41Like if we win the state championship, you have to go, uh, and try being NFL quarterback
01:46again.
01:47It just made no sense to me.
01:48Uh, we love, uh, Teddy, but he's finished.
01:51Uh, that's just the way that it goes.
01:52And he got hurt.
01:53How many concussions does Teddy have, by the way?
01:55We talk about doing some of these other guys all the time, Teddy had a lot of injuries
01:59and a lot of concussions.
02:00So please, Teddy, keep coaching football.
02:01Did he make a lot of money?
02:02Like, I mean, honestly, yes, I, I would think so.
02:08I would think so.
02:09Uh, all right.
02:10Uh, I always give this to you every week.
02:11Uh, let's go through a couple of these and there is starting to be some separation in
02:15these awards, including in the MVP, where you can now find a Josh Allen this week at
02:21minus a thousand, uh, to win the NFL MVP, Lamar Jackson, seven to one Barkley 14.
02:29I have seen people Scotty outraged, uh, about this.
02:33They are outraged, uh, that people say that the MVP award is over, uh, with three weeks
02:39left in the season.
02:40And they're outraged because Lamar Jackson has some better numbers than Josh Allen.
02:44And they're outraged, uh, that this is happening.
02:47Uh, go take a look.
02:49Josh Allen had better numbers than Lamar Jackson last year.
02:51Lamar Jackson won the MVP.
02:52It's the way it goes sometimes.
02:54Uh, it is the way that it goes.
02:56He's the MVP of the NFL deal with it.
02:58Let's just stop with all this nonsense.
03:00Josh Allen has already bagged it.
03:02It's already done.
03:03I mean, there's got the day he had three tutties in the air and three rushing the day that
03:08he ran and got a, a pitch pass from his receiver and he dove around the corner in the snow
03:14into the corner of the end zone.
03:17That was it.
03:18That was all over.
03:19But the shouting right down in there, then the guy follows it up with two in the air,
03:22two on the ground.
03:23Like I said this week, what's he going to do?
03:24Four in the air, four on the ground.
03:26What more does this guy do, uh, to not get this award?
03:30I mean, like, is there someone that doesn't like him or something?
03:34This is ridiculous.
03:35He's already the MVP.
03:36It's a done deal.
03:38It should be a done deal.
03:40Uh, and hopefully it will be.
03:41And listen, we know, uh, Lamar's a bad-ass.
03:44We say that all the time here.
03:45Lamar is an absolute bad-ass.
03:47There's no doubt about that.
03:49He's not going to win the MVP again this year.
03:50You're just going to have to deal with it.
03:51Uh, defensive player of the year, uh, TJ Watt is still minus 160.
03:56I've got him at right now.
03:57He's a little different from house to house.
03:59Uh, but Patrick Sertan has made some ground on him, uh, Scotty.
04:04Uh, they're starting, they're going to give the cornerback, uh, the award.
04:08They always find a way to take it away from TJ Watt, uh, and they're looking for it again
04:13this year.
04:14The guy is so good.
04:15I get it that no one ever throws his way.
04:19So that like, he really doesn't have to make any plays.
04:23And then TJ Watt has to rush the quarterback on every single snap.
04:28And he's like a terrorist in the backfield.
04:31I mean, the guy is absolutely insane playing football at his position going after
04:37quarterbacks, Patrick Sertan.
04:40No one will even throw his way.
04:41The guy doesn't even have to shower after games.
04:45Like, what am I going to just give him an award?
04:47Cause he never makes any plays.
04:49He doesn't make any plays.
04:50Last week he had, all he had to do is knock down two passes.
04:53I mean, the guy literally got out, took his helmet off, put a suit on it, got in
04:57his car, went to church.
04:58He never took a shower.
04:59I mean, honestly, stop.
05:01Watt has to work his ass off.
05:03He's double and triple teamed.
05:05Every time they snap a ball, no one throws to Sertan's side.
05:10Stop.
05:11Just stop it.
05:14Uh, you're not going to get an argument from me.
05:16Uh, you know that I think that there is no defensive player who has as impactful as TJ
05:22Watt.
05:22They have, they have screwed him before.
05:24And now they're going to say like, if he misses this week or misses the night with
05:28this injury, ah, well, you know, I didn't play down the stretch.
05:31Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
05:32Coach of the year.
05:33Uh, Kevin O'Connell's now minus 190, as I believe PA on the mic told you earlier.
05:38Dan Campbell, plus 350.
05:40I've got Sean Payton, Dan Quinn, Andy Reed, Mike Tomlin, uh, now on a little bit
05:45further down the list.
05:46Uh, I gotta tell you, I, I, I get it.
05:49I know they want to give it to this O'Connell.
05:51I always like giving it to the team that, um, gets in the playoffs that everyone
05:55thought was going to suck.
05:56I think it's Payton actually, uh, right now.
05:58I think what's Payton's done in Denver is where I would go.
06:01And with a rookie quarterback.
06:02I thought it was Tomlin, uh, because, uh, they had him at a seven and a half wins.
06:10And he's got eight straight years of winning.
06:12He's never won it.
06:14And he's about to win the North.
06:16And obviously he won't get it again.
06:18Uh, they'll give it to the guy with the best record.
06:21That'll be that.
06:24We shall see.
06:25We have a few weeks to go.
06:26These things change fairly quickly.
06:28And let me, uh, throw one more in at you before we move on.
06:31I do not watch the awards, Joe.
06:32In the, uh, I never watched it anyway.
06:34I just hope to collect tickets if I have them at the end of the year.
06:37Uh, offensive rookie of the year.
06:39Jaden Daniels, of course, is the favorite.
06:41Now, Knicks was making some ground on this.
06:43Uh, but this has now separated back out to where Knicks is plus six 50 Brock
06:47Bowers, 11 to one, uh, there on that one as well.
06:50Bowers a little further out on that board.
06:52I've seen Bowers move up quite a bit, uh, since that number.
06:56There you have nothing to say here.
06:57Uh, Jaden Daniels, it's going to be Daniels.
07:01I think there was that hail Mary.
07:03They gave me a word.
07:04It was that there was that little lull for like two weeks, but
07:07now they've gotten back on track.
07:08He's played great.
07:09And, uh, he's going to win that offensive rookie of the year.
07:12There you go.
