00:00is when you sent me your pick five ticket, I didn't have to make many changes at all.
00:07We were seeing the ball very similar for Saturday. So fingers crossed, hopefully we're going
00:11to be on the same page as we start in race number seven. Uh, we went one, two, four and
00:16five and talk about the one Burnham square, the two and the four. Those are the horses
00:21that you pointed out and we both use, I think just super logical horses here, but it's kind
00:25of a tricky race when you have a first time starter, like only in America going long,
00:29that's never easy. No, but you know, again, it's Fletcher and I ran, you know, to kick
00:35off the pick five, you have no reason to throw them out. Right. It's like, you know, those
00:40guys went into a hefty clip. So you got to use them, um, you know, almost on defense
00:46for that because you just don't know. I mean, I think the one horse, um, the one Burnham
00:52square coming off super fast race last time, uh, buyer speed for your 83 blinkers on third
01:00race off the, off, you know, of his life inside post going two turns. I mean, there's so many
01:05things to like, you know, shipping in from those, uh, Churchill we'll see what happens
01:09there.
01:10The long shot, I think that I like is the four word on the street. Again, I was at gold
01:15stream last time for this risk. He made an almost like a winning move at a big price
01:20flattened out a little bit. Again, he gets better with every race buyers keep going up.
01:26I think you got to use them, could get lucky, especially if the one, you know, isn't, isn't
01:30great coming in from a Churchill and only in America is not ready to run. And what's
01:34nice about word on the street. We've seen the progression in each race from this horse
01:38who now should be fit getting the mile and a 16th for the first time, as far as he's
01:43ever gone. The only one that I had to add in here, I added the five on a rush because
01:47there's not that much proven speed in this race. You know, especially if the first time
01:51starter doesn't come out out of the gate firing with speed. And a lot of times these
01:55horses that debut going longer, aren't the quickest early. So if some of these horses
01:59aren't alert, I could see the five on a rush with size, just being forward in there and
02:04maybe taking advantage. So we threw the five in as well, along with the one, two, and four.
02:08So we'll be four deep trying to make it out of race. Number seven at Gulf stream park.
02:13We turn the page to race number eight. This is a five furlong turf sprint. It's the
02:17Abadantia. And Pete, what I was thinking when I was handicapping this race was I got to
02:23find a horse who can sit off the pace a little bit because there is so much speed. And I
02:26think we found one way to the outside here, right? With the number 12.
02:30Yeah. 12 twirling queen. You know, you got Jose D'Angelo, Luis Saez. They won last time
02:36at Del Mar in an exact same trip. I'm looking for sort of outside. I mean, it was inside
02:42and then surge clear. I think the horse is the fastest horse in the race on the numbers.
02:48Going to sit a nice trip because if you don't go, you have to single somewhere because if
02:52you don't go with just him or her, you're going to wind up spreading and the ticket's
02:57going to get unwieldy. So I was trying to find the one that made most sense to me. And
03:02again, I like the outside trip on the turf. Actually, it's sprinting at Gulfstream. Stay
03:07in the clear and just sweep by at the end.
03:10Exactly. We don't mind being a little bit wide with her in this race. We'd rather be
03:13a little bit wide in the clear. She's going to make her third start of the forum cycle.
03:17And while we both want her to be off the pace, what's nice, she has that natural tactical
03:22speed where she's not going to be that far out of it. She's going to be within striking
03:26range. That's exactly what we want. We're going to single the 12 twirling queen. And
03:30then we move to race number nine. It's a mile and a 16th on the synthetic. You can honestly
03:35go through this field of nine and use every single one of them. I mean, Skyrow, Jerry,
03:40the nipper, Yamato, fly the W's a 20 time winner. You have a horse like ruse who wasn't
03:45that far behind Jerry, the nipper and ruse is 20 to one on the morning line. So Pete,
03:50we were going to go all instead of going all let's just chuck out the chalk in here. We'll
03:55go all but eight because we single in on a couple of favorites. Anyone in particular
03:59or anything else you want to mention about this ninth race where we're spreading out?
04:02Honestly, no, I was a scramble for me. I just every horse seemed I can make a case
04:07for and when that's the case, I'm not going to you know, I'll try to try to limit the
04:12throw outs. And I like the way you did that. Because again, if we have a couple of favorites
04:16going in, we don't need five favorites in a row clearly. So yeah, that's the spot to
04:21take the shot against when we're looking for some value here in race number nine. This
04:25is where we demand that value. And then we'll flip the page to race number 10. We talked
04:30about the Mr. prospector here, and it just came down for me to, okay, if I'm not going
04:35to be just using white a barrio, who are some of the other horses that I'm going to use?
04:40Remember, if you do that, you're going to double or triple your ticket up. And I looked
04:44at Mufasa, I looked at maybe a luminaire, I looked at some of them, I just haven't seen
04:50enough from those horses yet to put them on even terms with white a barrio. We talked
04:55about the pattern he's coming in, I just like so much about what they're doing and how they
04:58handled him. And we're both just fine with singling white a barrio here. Yeah, again,
05:03not normally my move, right? So in a three to five shot is not what I'd like to do. But
05:09he just stands out because then like you said, if not him, then who? And those you just mentioned,
05:14we're not that confident in and the long shots I used in my super, I don't really think they
05:19can win. I think they're underneath horses. Yeah, exactly. What Pete, I'm the same way.
05:23And a lot of people who have watched these shows have seen like us with the way we put
05:27the pick fives together. But the key point that you just mentioned out, I don't think you need
05:31to have a template as a pick five or pick four player because every sequence is different,
05:36right? Yesterday, for example, at Santa Anita, there was a late pick five with a couple of
05:40heavy favorites, Johannes and she feels pretty, I singled the both of them, the pick five still
05:45paid 400 bucks, because we were doing exactly what we're doing here. I had a $60 ticket,
05:50got back 400 with two heavy, heavy favorites singled in the sequence. So sometimes it's just
05:55about the approach as much as it is about trying to find the value in places that it's not there,
06:01right? Yeah, 100%. You're you got it. Exactly. Let's close things out. We go to Gulfstream Park
06:06race number 11. This one, I think we could find a little bit of value to when you started out
06:11with the one horse Aspen Don, this horse had a trouble trip last time out. Yeah, no, I had a
06:17horrible trip last time out. And I was like, again, I like the inside, obviously inside going
06:22two turns on the grass, sable the ground, hopefully tip out. Check. Yeah, you had a bad
06:28check in that race. Look for her, you know, to come back. You got catalyzed. Chad Brown broke
06:34his maiden at aqueduct coming coming to run a Gulfstream. You know, he didn't he's not having
06:40the best meat so far, but it's Chad. It's Tyler Gaffney on fire, which I feel like you have to
06:45use the numbers fit. What do you think? Yeah, and that's the horse I think to probably catch
06:51are going to be very forwardly placed in here. The six Lady Mary will add the blinkers, the 11
06:56candy gray super logical. Look at that two back turf race. And then I threw in source who's a bit
07:02of a price. So altogether, what's that pick five ticket look like, folks? It's going to be 80
07:06bucks when we put it all together. We have a single of the 12 twirling queen and a single of white
07:12barrio.
