00:00Good afternoon, this is the last update on the weather this Thursday, January 2, 2025.
00:08The Northeast Monsoon or AMIHAN in the extreme northern Luzon is the first to be affected.
00:14So we expect in Batanes, it will be cloudy and rainy because of the AMIHAN or Northeast Monsoon.
00:22Meanwhile, the Sheer Line is affected in the extreme northern Luzon and central Luzon.
00:30The Sheer Line is the combination of cold wind from the Northeast and hot wind from the East.
00:37The Sheer Line is also the one that brings cloudy and rainy weather and isolated thunderstorms
00:44like Isabela, Apayao and Aurora.
00:49Meanwhile, the Easterlies or the hot wind from the Pacific Ocean brings cloudy and rainy weather,

01:31For the time being, we expect the Sheer Line to bring rain in the eastern part of the northern Luzon.
01:41For the Northeast Monsun or Hanging Amihan,
01:44it will bring rain in the extreme northern Luzon,
01:47Cordillera Administrative Region and some parts of Ilocos Region
01:54where we also expect heavy rains, landslides and landslides in Calayaan Islands and Palawan.
