00:00Good afternoon from the Weather Forecasting Center, this is our update on the weather for the next 24 hours.
00:09We will still experience heavy rain and thunderstorms,
00:13followed by the Northeast Monsoon or the cold wind
00:16that continues to blow in the area of Northern Luzon.
00:21Meanwhile, here in the shoreline, or in the midst of the hot and cold winds,
00:25heavy rain and thunderstorms will continue to fall in the Central and Southern Luzon.
00:34In the vast majority of our country, especially here in the large part of Luzon,
00:39this will continue to be clear in time.
00:41Meanwhile, this Intertropical Convergence Zone or ITCZ
00:46will continue to fall in the area of Visayas and Mindanao.
00:50For the rest of Visayas and Mindanao,
00:53we will continue to have fair weather conditions,
00:55but this afternoon and later tonight,
00:57we will still have the chance of sudden and rapid rainfalls,
01:02followed by localized thunderstorms.
01:04At the moment, we are not yet aware of a low-pressure area
01:07or a bad weather that could cause a storm
01:10that could affect our country in the coming days.
01:15And for our time tomorrow here in the area of Luzon,
01:20because of the continuous effects of the storm,
01:23we hope that it will intensify again tomorrow
01:25and a large portion of Luzon will be affected.
01:29At the moment, we will still experience thunderstorms
01:32brought by the storm here in the area of Cagayan Valley,
01:36possibly also here in the area of Aurora and in the part of Quezon.
01:42So we hope that there will be a high chance of thunderstorms and rain in the mentioned areas.
01:46For Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon,
01:48generally, we expect fair weather tomorrow.
01:51And because we expect a strong storm,
01:54the chances of thunderstorm activity will be low.
01:57So if we will experience rain tomorrow,
02:00these are the light rains or storms brought by the storm.
02:03And we also expect that starting tomorrow,
02:06a portion of the shoreline will weaken and the effect will be far from our country.
02:11In the areas of Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao,
02:15the rainfall brought by the ITCZ here in the areas of Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Region will gradually decrease.
02:23Even so, we still expect a high chance of rain,
02:26especially yesterday and last night,
02:28because we expect this Intertropical Convergence Zone
02:31will affect a large portion of Mindanao.
02:34For Visayas, the fair weather conditions will continue,
02:37and there are still chances of heavy rainfall brought by thunderstorms.
02:43In the areas of Palawan, because of the cold weather in the Northeast Monsoon,
02:47we may experience rainfalls,
02:50and these are the thunderstorms brought by the Northeast Monsoon.
02:55In the area of Caragatan, as of 5 p.m. today,
02:58we have high gale warnings here in the eastern coast of Cagayan,
03:02in the areas of Isabela, Aurora, the northern and eastern coasts of Quezon,
03:08as well as the Polilio Islands.
03:10We also have high gale warnings in the areas of Camarines Norte,
03:14the northern coast of Camarines Sur,
03:16and the northern and eastern coasts of Catanduanes.
03:20So, to our fellow fishermen and those who have small fishing boats in these areas,
03:25let's not go too far, because we may still experience high sea levels
03:30brought by strong winds.
03:32In the area of Eastern Visayas,
03:34we also expect moderate to strong winds.
03:40So, be careful to our fellow fishermen in the mentioned areas.
03:46And for our three-day weather outlook in the surrounding cities of our country,
03:51a large part of the Luzon, in the northern and central Luzon,
03:54so in the cities of Metro Manila and Baguio City,
03:57we expect that in the next few days, there will be heavy rainfall.
04:01So, let's hope that the temperature will drop, especially in the early hours.
04:05So, we expect a cold weather for the next three days.
04:10But here in the Bicol region, as well as in the province of Quezon,
04:14in the city of Legazpi City and a large part of the southern Luzon,
04:18starting Wednesday and Thursday,
04:20we expect the possible effects of the shear line.
04:23So, we expect a high chance of thunderstorm activity,
04:27heavy rainfall and heavy snowfall.
04:32In the area of Visayas, the western and central Visayas,
04:36so in the cities of Metro Cebu and Iloilo City,
04:39the fair weather conditions will continue for the next three days,
04:43from Tuesday to Thursday,
04:44except for the chances of thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.
04:48But here in the eastern Visayas and Tacloban City,
04:51starting Wednesday to Thursday,
04:53because of the effects of the ITCZ, or the Intertropical Convergence Zone,
04:57we expect a high chance of rain in the aforementioned days.
05:03In the areas of Mindanao, in the cities of Metro Davao,
05:06Cagayan de Oro City and Zamboanga City,
05:08we also expect the ITCZ to be active in these areas.
05:12For now, the fair weather conditions we expect,
05:15mostly cloudy in the afternoon,
05:17and the chances of rain will drop,
05:20with thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.
05:24And the sunny weather here in Manila will drop by 5.41 p.m.
05:28and will rise again by 6.23 a.m. tomorrow.
