00:00Well, my chump, my chump is everybody that does not take Dan Campbell literally.
00:07He told you this was going to happen.
00:09He told you how his guys were going to respond.
00:13And he's been as crystal clear as a piece of glass the whole time he's been here.
00:20And we second guessing and this and that and the other.
00:23And look, man, stop.
00:26We're on this trip.
00:27It's for real.
00:28It's 1969, the Jets, the Mets, the man in the moon, Michigan beats Ohio State.
00:34We get a president who's a criminal, it's history.
00:40Put it all in context.
00:41It's a beautiful thing, man.
00:42Enjoy this, Gator.
00:43I think a lot of us say, yeah, I'm not sure they're all beautiful, but hey, look, it's
00:50incredible that the Lions are doing what they're doing.
00:56And the Dan Campbell dots about the fourth down stuff, right?
00:59That's where it comes from.
01:01And there's two things about Dan Campbell that you have to keep in mind, because when
01:05you decide to pass on field goals and some somewhat sure field goals, and he did it a
01:12couple of times in the game and the score 17 to 9 when it was 17 to 9 in those drives,
01:19the two touchdown drives the Lions had, they had easy field goals and he passed on easy
01:24field goals and went for first downs and got touchdowns out of those drives.
01:29So instead of having three points, he had seven.
01:32And then later, instead of having three points, he had seven.
01:36And so that's four added points by Dan Campbell the first time, four more the second time,
01:40the score 17 to 9.
01:43There's your eight points.
01:45Lions were leading that game 17 to 9 because of Dan Campbell decisions.
01:49Then the most interesting one of all, when they were up 15, fourth and two at the Vikings,
01:57what was it?
01:58Seven yard line late.
01:59And he had a chance to kick a field goal and go up three scores.
02:02And he was going for it.
02:04And I'm sitting there going, you have to kick the field goal.
02:08You have to go up three.
02:09My dad is like, you have to kick the field goal, Freddie Frito.
02:12And I'm like, when they broke the, when they, when he sent the offense, I said, unless this
02:18is all just to try and get them to jump off sides.
02:21Yeah.
02:22I was starting there.
02:23Like you got to kick it.
02:24You got to kick it.
02:25And then there's like 10 seconds left on the play clock and I said, oh, they're not going
02:27for it.
02:28They're trying to draw them off side.
02:29Cause it's close enough.
02:30If worst case scenario, either they take the timeout or they just go back five yards.
02:35You're going to kick it.
02:37And then the Vikings jumped off side.
02:40They got the Vikings to jump.
02:43What they fell for it, man.
02:45I can't believe it.
02:48And you know what the thing is, that was half a distance to the goal.
02:51It wasn't an automatic five.
02:52So they actually, you know, they still got the first down of course, cause it was like
02:54a fourth and two or whatever, but they knew all this and it was set up perfectly.
02:59They did, you were at the game and Doug and I were watching at home.
03:03Collinsworth pointed out they'd been using the same word to set up the snap every single
03:07time.
03:08But this time when they called it, it was a dummy call and then they were never going
03:12to snap it.
03:13So I think they were using the word turbo.
03:14Was it Doug?
03:15Every time it said turbo hut, turbo set, they were going to snap it.
03:18They did it that time, but didn't snap it.
03:20And the Vikings jumped off sides.
03:21It was brilliant.
03:22It was, it was such an incredible play because it just, it was the backwards world we're
03:28living in.
03:29The Lions were the team that jumped off sides on critical downs.
03:32Historically, Jared Goff afterwards said that they've been working on the play all week
03:36and I'm like, you have to work on this play.
03:38Well, I guess so.
03:39You know that they, he's had a wry smile on his face while he was talking about it.
03:45Yeah, we knew.
03:46I mean, it was, we were hoping to get a chance to do it and they did it and it worked.
