00:00I don't hope we have a nice day, I don't like that saying, we're coming up for a nice day out, I could have a nice day out down the coast somewhere else.
00:08But I do hope we go out there and give a good account of ourselves, that's really important.
00:13Woodman though could not hide his delight at the outcome of the draw and is relishing the chance to return to his former employer in charge of another club.
00:22The London-born manager of Bromley spent close to five years here on Tyneside as part of Alan Pardew's staff and has nothing but happy memories of his time in the North East.
00:33I don't think I could ever say enough really, it was a brilliant experience and I know it was a difficult time for the football club with other issues that were going on.
00:46But I sort of go on record as saying really, I think sort of Alan Pardew, what he'd done under the circumstances there with myself, John Carver and Steve Stone getting to Europe.
00:59And whilst Newcastle did qualify for the Europa League in 2012, issues behind the scenes at the club were prevalent in preventing the team from progressing.
01:09On the outside, you look at it as we probably didn't have the backing.
01:13But on the inside, when you've got Chelsea coming for players like Demba Barr, Demba's head's going to be turned.
01:20We had a situation with Johan, I think it was Arsenal coming for him when we were playing at Man City and he just wanted to go.
01:28And it was nothing to do with what we'd done, it was just at that time, they were clubs they wanted to go to at that time.
01:36Woodman did not envisage becoming a manager during his time as a goalkeeping coach, but he felt the opportunity to take the Bromley job was something he had to do.
01:44I always felt I could do it, you know, but you don't envisage where the opportunity will come.
01:50And obviously when I was at Arsenal, really enjoying my time at Arsenal and then I got offered the job to be manager at Bromley and I took it and everyone thought I was crazy.
02:04Woodman was certainly not crazy though and at Bromley success has been on the menu, winning the FA Trophy and the National League Playoffs.
02:11In terms of what comes next, he recalled a meeting with Eddie Howe and Jason Tindall.
02:16We bumped into them watching a game at Southampton and they were 13 points to drift at the bottom of the EFL and then, you know, with Bournemouth and they took that club right the way up.
02:26And I've always clung on to that.
02:28And so with a third round approaching, I asked what Newcastle can expect from Bromley.
02:32At Newcastle, it's fair to say most of them probably won't watch Bromley on a regular basis.
02:36What can we expect from your side?
02:38Well, I can expect everyone behind the ball as much as possible, that's for sure.
02:45It's a funny one really because, you know, how do we approach the game?
02:49You know, we know if we open up the game or even attempt to open up the game, it's going to be, it's not going to suit us.
02:57You know, we know that.
