00:00All right, welcome back in the early line here on the SportsGrid Network as we get ready
00:06for a loaded weekend across sports here, and it's getting good any time we've got playoffs.
00:15Playoffs to talk about.
00:16It's always fun as wildcard weekend, getting ready to kick off tomorrow in the NFL.
00:22Just two teams with a bye in the NFL this year, and of course, the Kansas City Chiefs
00:29handled their business as usual, even though they lost that last game with all their backups
00:35playing to the Denver Broncos, who managed to, for the first time in eight years, make
00:41it into the playoffs because of that win.
00:44And on the flip side in the NFC, we've got the Detroit Lions, thanks to their smackdown
00:52of Sam Darnold and the Minnesota Vikings in Week 18, they got it done.
00:57So both the Chiefs and Detroit resting right now, this weekend, waiting to see who it
01:03is they're going to be taking on.
01:06And we have a little fun here, Zinn.
01:08We've taken a couple of bets here in the future market to see which one you like better.
01:16And let's look first at the NFC North, who has one, two, well, they got a few teams in
01:22the playoffs this year here, Zinn.
01:24So which is a better one, a better bet, do you think?
01:27Any NFC North team making the Super Bowl at minus 165, or any AFC West team making the
01:35Super Bowl at minus 115?
01:38Both have three teams in the playoffs.
01:42I would still take the NFC North.
01:46I mean, I don't think an AFC West team is making the playoffs, is making the Super Bowl.
01:50So there's that.
01:51I think it's both.
01:53Okay.
01:54Oh, I wouldn't make that a good price.
01:58I mean, 165 feels like it's a little light, doesn't it?
02:02Given the fact that we're dealing with the number one seed, and Detroit, Minnesota, again,
02:10I would turn around and think that the odds makers are telling you right there, there's
02:15a much greater chance of the Lions making the Super Bowl than the Chiefs making the
02:18Super Bowl.
02:19That's essentially what they're saying, right?
02:22Because the other two seeds, again, in the AFC are a sixth seed and a seventh seed, right?
02:31In the Chargers and the Broncos.
02:33In the NFC, you're looking at the five seed and the sixth seed, which still are markedly
02:38better teams than both the Chargers and the Broncos are, comparatively speaking, in their
02:41current conferences.
02:42So yeah, I get why the number is bigger, but it's also telling you that the path for the
02:51Lions to get there is easier, which I don't necessarily know is true, because again, if
02:55Minnesota upsets the Rams, which may be a realistic possibility, you're telling me the
03:01third matchup between Detroit and Minnesota isn't still a coin flip game?
03:05Because what's the hardest thing to do?
03:06The old adage, what's the hardest thing to do in the NFL?
03:09Beat the same team three times in a season.
03:11It's really hard to do.
03:12It's happened before, and it used to happen a lot more in the older format of the NFL
03:20But nonetheless, you know, that said, it's really tough to do it.
03:24So I don't know that the Lions path is necessarily easier than the Chiefs, but the Bills slash
03:30Ravens who will meet each other in the divisional playoff are going to eliminate one of them.
03:34So the Chiefs really only have one tough game to get to the Super Bowl, and it'll be at
03:38home.
03:39And it'll be at home.
03:41Exactly correct.
03:42And I'm looking right now because, you know, plus 250 for the Bills, plus 280 for the Ravens,
03:48and I think we can agree that's really probably the best chance to go if any team is going
03:55to do it.
03:56So, you know, will the Bills or the Ravens make the Super Bowl?
04:00I'm sure there's a yes-no spot somewhere along those lines, but I mean, who would you take
04:05a shot at?
04:06Let's just say it ain't the Chiefs.
04:07Is it the Bills or is it the Ravens?
04:11No, because the only bad, like, listen, I'm not a hedger by nature per se, like when I
04:16have a future, but I always want the opportunity to be there, right?
04:20Like I always want to look at it and go, okay, can I set this up for a possible hedge?
04:25So at least I know I have some money if the matchup looks way too tilted one way.
04:30And the only way you're going to do that is with the Chargers.
04:32And like we were talking about Mike Blewett earlier, like the Chargers going into Kansas
04:36City still has a coin flip element to it because they are division rivals, because they've
04:42played already twice this year, because the Chargers can match the Chiefs punch for punch
04:48in a sort of slogfest that Kansas City plays, right?
04:52Like that to me is the only way that I would look at throwing a shekel down on the Chargers
04:57to possibly even win the AFC, let alone win the title.
05:02Because again, even if they get past Kansas City, guess what?
05:05You know, I don't think it's a good win to win the Super Bowl.
05:08That's why I'd only take them to win the AFC, because I don't think there's a chance that
05:12if they do beat the Chiefs, they beat either the Bills or the Ravens, and then they go
05:15ahead and beat the Lions.
05:16Like now we're getting way too many better teams than they are in a row.
05:20So upset the Chiefs, great.
05:21I'm in the AFC championship game, and I'm in a spot possibly against Buffalo or Baltimore.
05:28It does feel like if you're looking for a longer shot to not only win the NFC, but to
05:34win it all, it's got to come out of the NFC side, right?
05:38Because are the Eagles live?
05:41Sure.
05:42Are the Vikings?
05:43Sure.
05:44Are the Rams?
05:45Or even the Bucs, who were that close to being in that game last year.
05:49So it feels like the NFC much more wide open, and if you're looking for value, I think it's
05:56definitely on the NFC side.
05:58No, there's got to be somebody there we can take a shot with at those prices.
06:01Oh, yeah.
06:02I mean, listen, I had a future on the Packers to win the NFC from back around week five
06:08or week six for a goof.
06:10Believe it or not, I have better odds on it now than I did back then.
06:16Like I got 700, so it hasn't gone.
06:19But I did throw a shackle down on the Rams after week 18 to win the NFC.
06:26Just because their path to me and their opponent in the Lions, you know, when they get to the
06:32NFC championship game, they might be able to go punch for punch with them from an offensive
06:38standpoint.
06:39In that game, McVeigh actually would excel at coaching.
06:42I don't want McVeigh in a tight slogfest where third and four is a critical play call.
06:48What I want is a wide open spread offense going back and forth up and down the field
06:53with Cooper Cup running through secondaries.
06:56That's the kind of game I want Sean McVeigh in, where he excels.
06:59So if that's the case, the Lions are going to play that way against a bad defense, give
07:03me the Rams.
07:06I agree.
07:07I think there is a lot of different ways to look at the NFC side.
07:13And a couple of other future bets will run by you.
07:16See what you guys think as the early line continues here on the grid.
07:21All right.
07:23Welcome back into the early line here on this Friday as we get ready for wild card weekend
07:30in the NFL.
07:31We've got one more college football semifinal game tonight, the Cotton Bowl, between the
07:38Ohio State Buckeyes.
07:40They'll be taking on the Texas Longhorns with the opportunity to play Notre Dame in the
07:46national championship game.
07:48So a lot of fun stuff, including a great slate of college basketball games, a lot of great
07:54NBA action mixing the NHL in full effect.
07:59And oh, yeah, by the way, pitchers and catchers will be reporting in a couple of weeks.
08:05I'll just throw that out there and leave it there for us as we don't we've got plenty
08:09going on here.
08:10Joe Ranieri alongside Mark Zinno.
08:12It's never too early to consider pitchers and catchers reporting here, Zinn, and you
08:17know that.
08:18But we're talking futures with the NFL right now.
08:22We have found a couple of different ways to approach it.
08:26And one of the ones, and we just talked about it last segment there with any NFC North team
08:33making the Super Bowl versus any AFC West team making them, both of those conferences,
08:38those divisions have three teams that are in it.
08:41So the odds certainly appear to be in your favor.
08:44And also, what about the idea, Zinn, which seems plausible that both title games that'll
08:51come up, the NFC and AFC title games, will eventually be number one versus number two.
08:57I don't hate this at plus 750, but I don't like any 5, 6 or 7 seed winning the Super
09:04Bowl at plus 470.
09:07I was just asking, when is the last time a 5, 6 or anything outside of the top four actually
09:13won the Super Bowl?
09:15When was it?
09:16I think it was the Giants in 2011.
09:19That feels to be the only time that I remember.
09:23Oh, Tampa in 2020, that's right, yes, good call.
09:28That was the Brady year.
09:30Well, that doesn't happen often.
09:34I know, right?
09:35Here's the problem with the one and two seeds thing.
09:38The Bills as a two seed are at threat because of the Ravens.
09:41And the Eagles are a two seed at threat because they're the Eagles.
09:45And it's Nick Sirianni.
09:48I mean, how much faith do you really want to put in him to win back-to-back playoff
09:53games if the Vikings are rolling into, or the Packers are rolling into Philly?
09:59No, I'm sorry, that's already happening now.
10:01Who would be their next opponent?
10:02Oh, it would be the Rams.
10:03It would be like the Rams or somebody like that.
10:06They end up going to Philly.
10:09I don't know.
10:11I think the rest of the NFC is a little bit vulnerable.
10:16And they all have their warts, to say the least.
10:20But, yeah, I guess I just look at it from that standpoint, that both of these
10:25two seeds, particularly the Bills, have a really, really tough round in the
10:29divisional round of the playoffs.
10:31It's not like they're getting somebody who is a clear step below them.
10:37It's pretty obvious that the three seed is right on their heels.
10:40So, again, I kind of look at this thing that, you know, that's why I don't
10:45like that.
10:46I think there's a better chance of one of those other teams, 5, 6, or 7,
10:49getting hot.
10:51The Vikings upset the Lions in the second round.
10:53If they beat the Rams, yes, they could.
10:56And then you're also, again, Vikings, Eagles, or Vikings, Buccaneers,
10:59whatever it may be, then, yeah.
11:02And, oh, by the way, if the Commanders end up going to Philadelphia in the
11:05second round, I get it.
11:07But, again, you're also talking about a scenario where, you know, this is a
11:11team that's already beat the Eagles this year.
11:14Commanders did it, granted they got some help.
11:16But, you know, it's not like division opponent games.
11:19It's an equalizer.
11:21So it's tough to figure out.
11:23I mean, the way it lines up here is, obviously, I think the number one
11:28seeds will both be in the title game, which is half the battle here, because
11:34both have the easier path to getting there.
11:37Both of them have certainly earned the buy this week and an opportunity to
11:43have those easy paths to it.
11:45Although nothing, you can make the argument nothing is ever easy.
11:48But given Kansas City and Detroit and what we've seen for them, I'm willing
11:53to bet the number one seeds will be in the title game.
11:56The big question then comes, does it make more sense?
11:59If I think the Bills are, it's just a, eventually it's happening.
12:03It's going to be Bills going to Kansas City and here we go again, which I'm
12:07rooting for, by the way.
12:09Does it make any sense, then, to look at the Bills at, what, six to one now
12:14to win it all?
12:16Because I think the AFC is your Super Bowl champion, Zend.
12:20Are you on that page?
12:22Or do you think the NFC is going to produce the Super Bowl champion?
12:25Yeah, I agree with you.
12:27I think it's going to be a tough pick at six to one.
12:29I think you get great odds.
12:31I think you get a great head situation.
12:33And if it ends up being the Bills, Lions again, advantage.
12:35Absolutely.
12:37All right.
12:39It is pick six time.
12:41We'll give you the bets here as the early line continues on the grid.
12:44All right.
12:46Welcome back into the early line here on this Friday.
12:49Loaded slate here tonight across the hardwood, too, college hoops as well as
12:54the NBA.
12:57A national championship appearance could very well be on the line or not
13:02very well will be on the line, in fact, at the Cotton Bowl here tonight,
13:05even though the market seems to think maybe Texas shouldn't even play this
13:09game.
13:11Maybe they should just advance Ohio State to the national championship
13:14game in which Notre Dame awaits as they remain a five-and-a-half, six-point
13:19favorite in the Cotton Bowl here tonight.
13:22But it is that time here.
13:25And on a Friday, the legendary pick six.
13:28Now, for those who don't know what the pick six is here, we are basically
13:33going to run down some of our favorite props and plays in this wild card
13:38weekend.
13:40And we always start, of course, with an any time touchdown, which then for
13:44those who don't know what an any time touchdown is, it's basically any
13:49touchdown scored in the game.
13:51And you, I believe, have circled somebody that probably might be one of
13:56the most popular any time touchdowns this weekend.
13:59Yeah.
14:01I mean, again, I typically would take this one player here and pair him
14:05with another any time touchdown scorer that I like to try to get a little
14:09plus money on both of them, right?
14:11But Saquon Barkley obviously is fine in the end zone.
14:14It would be a damn shock if he didn't.
14:17Either that or he got hurt and didn't play.
14:21Saquon Barkley would be my any time touchdown scorer here.
14:24There's not a game script out there where Philadelphia doesn't use him
14:27inside the five yard line.
14:29It would almost feel, too, like if I'm betting Saquon, is the Tush push out
14:35because he was in the concussion protocol?
14:38Are we a little less inclined to have Jalen Hurts?
14:43Is that it?
14:45They may only use the Tush push on fourth and one and not at the goal
14:49line because they know, especially if it's first and goal inside the five,
14:52they'll get four cracks at giving Saquon to get five yards.
14:55That's a pretty high percentage for the Philadelphia Eagles this year.
14:58Yeah.
15:00I kind of like that look a lot there as Saquon looking to carry the
15:05Philadelphia Eagles and he'll do so with an any time touchdown.
15:09I'm going to look towards the Buffalo Bills.
15:12It's a game that I like the over a lot in because I do think points are
15:17coming and then, of course, if I think points are coming and I like the
15:21Bills, there is no way I am not backing Josh Allen to have an any time
15:27touchdown.
15:28In fact, he's got a rushing touchdown at three straight playoff games and
15:32I expect that trend to continue in this one against the Denver defense
15:38that has kind of fallen off as the season progressed.
15:42They were really good early, but they started giving up a ton of points
15:46about halfway through.
15:48I like him to be able to take matters into his own hand in the red zone at
15:53some point.
15:54Tough to take down.
15:55I could see Josh Allen finding the end zone there.
15:58I'll take him for an any time touchdown.
16:01This next one inevitably, Zinn, is going to happen.
16:06It is not going to be all chalk in wild card week.
16:10And although we said that a lot during the regular season in the NFL,
16:14and guess what?
16:15The chalk won a lot.
16:17Won an awful lot down the stretch here.
16:20But what do we think?
16:21For a Moneyline underdog, which game did you circle?
16:25I looked at the Commanders just simply because there's a world where it's a
16:31shootout and Baker makes a mistake.
16:34And, look, if you're going to back a team as an underdog, take the one with
16:41the most high-flying offense and the highest ceiling.
16:44And I believe, really, that's, of all the underdogs this week,
16:46that's really who the Commanders are.
16:51Right?
16:52Like Jaden Daniels, we've seen him do a lot this year that has put the team
16:55on his back for making incredible plays.
16:57And, you know, they may be the weakest opponent out of all of them
17:00at Tampa Bay.
17:01So I look at it here and I'll just roll with Jaden Daniels
17:04and the Commanders' offense to get it done.
17:08So, and, listen, we've seen which version of Baker Mayfield shows up, right?
17:14Which one shows up?
17:15We've seen good Baker.
17:17Right.
17:18I think the best version of the Commanders is better than the best version
17:22of the Buccaneers.
17:23Right?
17:24If you get the best version of the Commanders and the best version of the
17:27Buccaneers, I actually think I would power rate the Commanders higher.
17:30I just don't know that you're consistently going to get the best version
17:33of the Commanders because their coach is a little bit, you know,
17:36all gas, no brakes, and sometimes, you know, makes bad decisions
17:39and everything else.
17:40But, you know, beyond that, I think the best version of the Commanders
17:43is better than that of the Buccaneers.
17:45So I can back Jaden Daniels in that spot.
17:48Yep.
17:49I like it.
17:50Listen, all week long I have talked to a number of different bookmakers
17:55around the country, and they all have said exactly the same things.
18:02And they need the Houston Texans in a big, big way.
18:10Everybody is running to the window backing the Chargers.
18:14I don't know anybody who's looking at the Houston Texans.
18:18And you and I both know, Zen, when you got that much love for a team
18:22that is only a three-point favorite, something doesn't smell right here.
18:27And as hard as it is for me to get around the Houston Texans,
18:30I mean, this line should be higher, Zen.
18:33The fact that it's not, I think, is telling.
18:35Is it?
18:36No?
18:37Well, the FanDuel sportsbook, just in the last 20 minutes,
18:40went to officially minus three.
18:42So they have just – they were one of the last books holding at two-and-a-half.
18:46They have now moved to three.
18:48So, yeah, I think it's telling at that point in time how much money
18:53is continuing to roll in on the Chargers.
18:56It is a little bit unnerving that we're not going to get to three-and-a-half.
19:00We'll get one more push before tomorrow and kickoff that more people run to the
19:04window and bet the Chargers to get to three-and-a-half,
19:07at which point in time you'll get some buyback on Houston,
19:10which is a spot, believe it or not, I might buy back on Houston.
19:13Right?
19:14Right.
19:15You give me a three-and-a-half,
19:16it's going to change the dynamic of this thing.
19:18Because the Chargers don't exactly blow – right?
19:21The Chargers don't win by margin a lot.
19:23Like I don't even think Houston is a bad candidate at two-and-a-half or three
19:26because I don't see the Chargers winning by ten.
19:32Keep an eye on that line.
19:34It's going to be very interesting.
19:35I know Houston also very popular in teasers, but if we're –
19:40there's only a couple of underdogs that I think have a legit shot at winning
19:45outright on the money line.
19:47You had one of them there in the Commanders.
19:50The only other one to me is Houston at home, you know, catching points here.
19:55And any time the books need a team in a bad way, they're in business because
20:00they – well, they end up getting it done there.
20:03Talk to me about an under, though, in these games.
20:07We've seen a couple of high totals in, of course, Tampa and Washington.
20:11We talked about the Bills and the Broncos.
20:14But what under are you looking at here?
20:18Believe it or not, it's Denver and Buffalo.
20:20And I'll tell you why, because you respect Denver's defense, right?
20:24And there is a world where I could see the Bills winning this game 33-10, right?
20:3330-13, some kind of deal.
20:36I think it's very possible for the Bills to cover this and it still stays under
20:41because when the Broncos have to step up in class and go up against better teams,
20:47there's a propensity – I mean, go back to that game they played at home
20:50against the Colts where they threw three first-half picks, right?
20:54Like, they were losing to the Colts until Jonathan Taylor decided to throw the ball
20:57out of the end zone before he actually got into the end zone
21:00and changed the game for the Broncos.
21:02But, like, that's what could happen at Denver.
21:04If you're asking Bo Nix to continually try and, you know, progress you forward,
21:08it could be very dangerous for them, especially on the road.
21:12And you have to respect Denver's defense.
21:14I don't think Buffalo is putting up 35 in this game.
21:18They may get to 30, but I don't see them getting past that.
21:21And at that point in time, do you see the Broncos getting to 20?
21:25Because that's what you need to get over, 30-20, right?
21:28So I think that's really what it's more about why I think this thing can go under
21:32because Denver's offense, I don't see them getting past 17.
21:35Yeah, it's – listen, in Orchard Park, the weather doesn't appear to be
21:41where it's going to be prohibitive at this point.
21:44Not crazy winds off the lake or snow or anything.
21:48Pickers will miss field goals in this one.
21:51I agree 100%.
21:54The question is the turnovers in that game.
21:57And will Bo Nix give them any?
22:00We'll have more from the pick six when the early line continues here on the grid.
22:05All right, welcome back.
22:06The early line here on the Sports Grid Network.
22:09Joe Neri alongside Mark Zinno as we continue with our pick six selections here
22:15for Wild Card Weekend.
22:16We do want to let you know there is some breaking news as Tom Pelissero is
22:22reporting on X that Jerry Jones and Mike McCarthy have had several days of
22:30discussions about the future of Mike McCarthy and the Dallas Cowboys
22:35and it is being reported that both sides remain open to having the discussions.
22:42It's expected to continue today.
22:45I quite honestly don't understand, Zen, what is taking so long here.
22:49It felt like it was, you know, it was inevitable that just hurry up
22:55and finish the season so Mike McCarthy could be fired and they'll move on.
23:00But apparently it's not that simple here, I guess,
23:03with Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys.
23:06No, look, I think there's a really good argument for McCarthy to be retained.
23:09Remember, they have this negotiating window that's until January 14th,
23:13this exclusive rights negotiating window for the Cowboys,
23:16the one that they denied the Bears to get into early.
23:19That said, you know, that's what, four short days away.
23:23So at some point in time, if they don't get a deal done in the next four days,
23:27Mike McCarthy's going to be able to talk to other people.
23:29But I would imagine that the deal actually does get done.
23:33I don't know how long it might only be two or three years,
23:36but I don't know that there's a better option out there for the Cowboys,
23:39in my opinion, really, other than John Gruden.
23:42And if the stain is off John Gruden for his transgressions
23:45and what got him fired from the Raiders by the NFL,
23:48he wasn't really fired by the Raiders.
23:50It was pressure from the NFL to fire him.
23:53And I would only add that we've seen many other people in the NFL
23:56have much worse crimes and much worse sins than what John Gruden did,
24:01and they were all allowed back in.
24:02So he sat out.
24:04He had his time on the bench.
24:05I think John Gruden is a very viable candidate for a lot of teams right now
24:08and should be getting phone calls, in my opinion.
24:10That said, I don't know that the Cowboys are doing better.
24:14Yeah, sometimes the devil you know is better than the devil you don't.
24:18So Mike McCarthy and Jerry Jones,
24:21and I wouldn't point to McCarthy having been the problem this year
24:25with the Cowboys in any way, shape, or form.
24:28But we'll let you know if anything comes out here, we have got you covered.
24:33We also were telling you about a under this week as part of our pick six
24:38that we liked, and Mark Zinno told you about the Broncos,
24:42and the bill's under 47.5.
24:45I am going to go the route, if it ain't broke, we ain't fixing it here, folks.
24:4943.5, as far as I'm concerned, is too big a number for Pittsburgh,
24:54and Baltimore, and here are the numbers.
24:57The Ravens with Lamar Jackson have played a total of seven playoff games.
25:03The under is five and two in those games.
25:06And, oh, yeah, by the way, not one of those seven games has exceeded 44 points.
25:12They've played nine times since December of 2020, these two teams.
25:17The under is eight and one.
25:19And the only game that went over and exceeded the winning team by 20 points
25:24or more was the last game where the Ravens dropped 34 in them.
25:28And a big reason as to why that was isn't in this game with Zay Flowers,
25:33who has already been ruled out.
25:36Listen, these two teams know each other better than anybody.
25:40The idea that they are going to go in five of seven in the red zone like they did
25:45in that game, three of three on field goals, and get a defensive touchdown,
25:50yeah, not in playoff football, not here in this spot.
25:54I think 43.5, give me the under all day.
25:57It feels like this is going to be the first one to 20, quite honestly,
26:02is going to win this game.
26:0420 to, you know, 14, 20 to 17, somewhere in that ballpark,
26:08that's what I think we're going to get in this one here.
26:12Alternate line, Zay, interesting.
26:15You can go a couple of different spots.
26:17I know some guys going a couple of different directions in the alt market.
26:21Which game did you look at, 4-1?
26:24I looked at the Buccaneers against the Commanders.
26:27I know that the Commanders are also my money line dog,
26:29but it's because I see two range of outcomes.
26:31Either the Buccaneers win big or the Commanders win outright.
26:34And if you look at the Commanders' losses this year, Joe,
26:37of their four regular season losses, guess what?
26:41Three of them were by more than a touchdown.
26:43The only one that wasn't was the one against the Steelers,
26:46where, oh, by the way, the Steelers in the fourth quarter,
26:48their three possessions were interception, fumble,
26:52and then touchdown with two minutes left.
26:54In a game where Washington had a 27-21 lead throughout most of the fourth
27:00quarter and couldn't put it away because their offense choked down the stretch.
27:03So, again, all the other games that Washington has lost,
27:06they've lost by more than a touchdown.
27:08So I think that's the case here.
27:10I think the Buccaneers end up winning big or the Commanders win outright.
27:14So if I'm going to lean on the Bucs here, I'll take Commanders.
27:16I mean, I'll take the Bucs rather minus more than a touchdown.
27:20Yeah, well, good.
27:21You know, great minds think alike here because for my alternate,
27:25I am going for Baker Mayfield more than two touchdowns passing in this game.
27:32And for that very reason, A, I love the over in this spot here,
27:37and I do think Baker Mayfield, who, once again,
27:42we have seen them do a pretty good job here, and Baker, I believe,
27:46certainly is going to have his full complement of weapons there.
27:50Mike Evans, he's going to have Ottenbeck, I believe,
27:54in the tight end spot overall.
27:56And I believe over his, what, he's hit over the six of seven at home.
28:02He's got 19 passing touchdowns over the last eight games there.
28:07To me, this is going to be a wild game,
28:10one in which there's going to be a lot of points.
28:12And if they're going to cover the seven for you,
28:15then he is going to have two or more touchdown passes here,
28:19probably to try to feed Mike Evans to stick it to Marshawn Lattimore.
28:25So I'm with you there.
28:26I think touchdown passes by Baker are coming in that game.
28:31All right, we've got a couple of more to get to here,
28:35including a yardage prop here.
28:38Who are you looking for in the yardage market here, Zen?
28:42Well, I'm going to go back to Ol' Reliable,
28:44a guy I've bet on several times over the last three or four weeks in his
28:47cash tickets, but it's Jalen McMillan.
28:49With Marshawn Lattimore coming back for the Commanders,
28:52he'll be locked up on Mike Evans,
28:54and that'll mean Jalen McMillan coming after the slot will have a lot more
28:57opportunities to continue to see passes.
28:59The chemistry between the two of them,
29:01he's had at least 50 yards receiving in five straight weeks,
29:03along with seven touchdowns over the last five weeks.
29:06He's been a favorite target of Baker Mayfield.
29:07I think that changes here.
29:09Yeah, it has been absolutely phenomenal,
29:12and cashing tickets for everybody backing him here,
29:15becoming a favorite target of Baker Mayfield.
29:19All right, we've got one more yardage prop and a teaser leg for you next
29:24year on The Early Line.
29:26All right, welcome back in here.
29:28The Early Line on this Friday,
29:31getting ready for what should be a heck of a night here.
29:34Cotton ball action coming your way as Ohio State and Texas playing for the
29:38right, well, to compete against Notre Dame for a national championship.
29:43That should be a whole lot of fun, not to mention wild card weekend.
29:48Going to take center stage starting tomorrow.
29:50And as we look to wrap up our pick six here,
29:53Zen, you had mentioned on Jalen McMillan for your yardage prop,
29:59there for Tampa Bay,
30:01you and I both are in believe that Tampa is going to be able to score some
30:05points here against this Washington defense, whether it be Baker Mayfield,
30:09Jalen McMillan, Irving,
30:11there's going to be some points and some yardage props to get.
30:14I'm going to look there on the Monday night game for my yardage prop,
30:18and I'm going to go with Kyron Williams,
30:20over 81 and a half rushing yards here.
30:25He had 23 for 97 in the first meeting against Minnesota.
30:31And since that game,
30:33while the run defense has gotten progressively worse for Minnesota,
30:37they rank 31st in success rate allowed over the last six games.
30:42And we just watched Detroit run for a buck 78,
30:45almost five and a half yards per carry.
30:49I don't get it.
30:50Blake Corham is out by the way.
30:52So Williams should get the necessary workload after he set out week 18,
30:58which essentially was a bye week for this Rams team.
31:02I got no problem backing him.
31:04I mean,
31:05Minnesota keeps people keep acting as if Minnesota's defense is what it was
31:09in the first five weeks of the season.
31:11It was really good against bad,
31:14bad offenses against good offenses,
31:17like the Rams.
31:18We've already seen what the Rams can do against them.
31:20I think Kyron Williams has a big day in this game.
31:25All right.
31:26That leaves us our teaser here,
31:28Zen,
31:29which has been pretty profitable over the last couple of weeks for us on
31:33the show.
31:34The first leg,
31:35which team are you looking at?
31:37Let's go Buffalo.
31:40I mean,
31:41it's just,
31:42I don't see the bills really in this game.
31:43If they lose it,
31:45I'm going to cry.
31:46That's number one,
31:47number two.
31:48You know,
31:49it would,
31:50it would take a comedy of errors by the Buffalo bills to lose this game
31:52at home.
31:53Now,
31:54could it maybe in a little bit tighter of a game,
31:56a game that I think goes under.
31:57Yeah,
31:58they probably could.
31:59So let's just get rid of the,
32:00the,
32:01the touchdown necessity,
32:02get it under a field goal here while we're at eight and a half and get
32:05it down to two and a half in a game.
32:06I think the bills can easily win at least by six or seven.
32:08Yeah,
32:10I exactly.
32:11I mean,
32:12if we're looking at teaser leg situations,
32:16Home team being over a touchdown favorite makes total sense in order to be
32:21able to get them under a field goal.
32:23And I think Buffalo does roll in that game.
32:25But also if I'm looking at for a teaser,
32:29I want to look at a team that I think can actually win the game outright.
32:33And they're getting points.
32:35And that's exactly what you've got with the Rams here who are now,
32:39I believe getting two.
32:42And that number seems to be creeping up here a little bit as the Minnesota
32:46money with the change of venue is starting to roll in here.
32:50And listen,
32:51we've already saw this game.
32:53The Rams have seen this Minnesota team before,
32:56and the Rams did a pretty good job handling the blitz and nobody blitzes
33:01more,
33:02but you're not going to outmaneuver Matt Stafford and Sean McVay,
33:07two of the best,
33:08especially in the playoffs in this spot here.
33:12I think the Rams can win this game outright.
33:15So the ideas in that I can get over a touchdown with the Rams on a neutral
33:20site game indoors.
33:22I got no problem going that route as well.
33:24So Buffalo and the Rams in a two team teaser,
33:28no issue with that and to run it down one more time here.
33:34We'll throw them up on the screen.
33:36So in case you guys missed any there,
33:38that's what you've got for marks with Barclay,
33:42the commanders,
33:43the under in Denver and Buffalo,
33:45you got the box laying seven there in an old line.
33:49Of course,
33:50Jalen McMillan over 59 and a half receiving yards for his yardage prop.
33:54And the bills will be his half of the teaser leg.
33:58I'm going to look Josh Allen for an anytime touchdown.
34:01We're going to look at the Texans.
34:03Yikes.
34:04As a Moneyline underdog,
34:05I'm going to go under in Pittsburgh,
34:07Baltimore,
34:08because if it ain't broke,
34:09don't fix it.
34:10I think Baker Mayfield is in line for a monster game over two passing
34:14touchdowns.
34:15Tyron Williams over 81 and a half rushing yards.
34:18He will get the carries for sure.
34:20And the Rams getting eight is my half of the teaser leg.
34:25And there,
34:26you got it to pick six in full effect for wildcard weekend national
34:30championship spot on the line tonight.
34:33Plenty of college hoops,
34:34NBA,
34:35a lot of great stuff.
34:37Mark,
34:38always a pleasure,
34:39my man.
34:40We look forward to doing it again,
34:42more coming your way here on the sports grid network.
34:45We'll see you on Monday.
