The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Sunday, Jan. 19 that cloud cover has significantly lessened across many parts of the country, leading to a decrease in rainfall over the next 24 hours.

While the northeast monsoon (amihan) continues to affect parts of Luzon, PAGASA Weather Specialist Grace Castañeda said the overall weather pattern is improving nationwide, especially in areas previously affected by heavy rainfall.
