00:00Got it, lovely, thank you. And Rhiannon, we'll just pick up on that in a second actually.
00:04So if I go into the survey process first, if I was to tell you that all the information
00:10that you've just looked at, what Jo's just shared, was undertaken by one of our surveyors
00:17being guided around the club by a member of that particular club. And we call that a guided
00:24assessment process. So that's where one of our surveyors is linked across to a member
00:30of your club via a video call. There's no prior training involved. You're not the surveyor,
00:36you're the hands, the eyes, the feet of the surveyor. And they'll direct you in terms
00:42of the types of places that they need to go to in terms of the club environment, the measurements
00:47to take, and the pictures to record. Typically, it takes about three quarters of an hour to
00:52an hour to undertake. And all you need is essentially a Wi-Fi connection, a smartphone
00:58with a camera, that's to take the pictures and undertake the video call, and a tape measure.
01:04And that's all you need in order to undertake the survey.
01:10How that looks. So, you know, in terms of thinking about your own website, so this is
01:16a good example of a cricket club, actually, one that's undertaken a survey in exactly
01:23the same way. And I know that, you know, for cricket, they use something called Play Cricket,
01:30which is kind of the back-end infrastructure for websites. And I think in rugby, often
01:35things like Pitch Heroes use things like that. So we know about how we can link this type
01:41of information within the existing club website, and also share some link buttons that can
01:48go on things like Facebook and social media. And Joe, if you just click through, it'll
01:53show you, there you go. So again, really easy just to link through to that access guide.
01:57And if you just clicked on that, then it would just take you straight through to the access
02:03guide for that particular club. So again, just a more seamless link to tie in with the
02:08information that you're already sharing.
02:13It doesn't just stop at the public facing information, what we also wanted to be able to share is if there are
02:20things that you'd like to understand in terms of where you're at, in terms of accessibility,
02:26if there's areas that can be improved upon. And we also create these data analysis reports
02:32and what we call accessibility improvement reports. Now, these are just spreadsheets,
02:36so they don't look as great or as sexy as what we've just looked at in terms of the
02:39online access guides. However, they still contain some really valuable information.
02:46And this is about, it can be as much about quick wins rather than, you know, trying to
02:51think about knocking down walls or things like that. It can be changing the toilet seat,
02:57it can be addressing contrast colours, it can be about signage, it's about trying to
03:04provide you with as much information as possible as to as to how the club sits in terms of
03:09accessibility and what types of things could be done over the kind of short, medium and
03:13long term. So you've got an ongoing plan for that. And again, Joe, if we just click through,
03:18we can see some of the more detailed reports that again, you know, just go into all the
03:23different layers of information, depending on how many areas that we've been surveying.
03:28And then Rhiannon, your question, you know, how much actually does it all cost? So to create,
03:38so from the surveyor's assessment, then to create the detailed access guide,
03:43which sits on our website and also on your own. It depends on the size of the club,
03:49but Joe, if we click through, the majority of clubs we think will generally fit into the first
03:54area. So typically that will be £175 to create the guide itself and that data analysis report.
04:03The biggest cost is that first year. Once it's done, then in terms of keeping that up to date,
04:09generally, if there are no general changes each year, then it's about £25 a year just to keep
04:15things ticking over. If the club undertakes a kind of major refurbishment or significant change,
04:22then we'll come and re-survey that whole environment. And that's when the larger cost,
04:27like £150 comes in. But, you know, unless the club's planning a whole major refurbishment,
04:33then it's not something that's intended. And typically examples of area, we've just seen some
04:39there, but can be changing rooms, the bar, the pitch, the outside seating areas, function rooms,
04:44cafes, gym, changing rooms. And, you know, the more areas, the more time it takes to survey.
04:50But generally speaking, what we've seen so far is that they tend to fit in the five areas or less.
04:59And if that hasn't excited you enough, I suppose that the key things are how you do it and why
05:06you should do it. So the how you do it is we've got Joe's email address here and we'll be sharing
05:13that again. So a simple email to Joe and Joe will contact you back just to identify where the club
05:20is, the number of areas that we'd want to survey, and then we can schedule that immediately. A short
05:25order form sent across just to sign off, but really simple process. And as I said, it's the
05:31same process that we undertake for 125,000 other venues. So works really well. As to why,
05:41so just to kind of summarize some of those different suggestions, you know, what we want to
05:46be able to do is be in a position where, yes, we can encourage more members and we want people new
05:52to the area or those haven't yet engaged with the club. We also want to demonstrate how inclusive
05:58the club is, just how positive and welcoming environment it can create, sharing how open you
06:04are to everyone in that community. But then lastly, this is simply the right thing to do.
06:10Being able to share practical information that enables a disabled person in order to understand
06:17how they can navigate around that particular space without worrying about it beforehand.
06:23It's just about being open and transparent. It's not trying to say you're more than you are. It's
06:29just about accepting some of the challenges because that's what is about being in a community
06:34club. There are always challenges. We're yet to find a perfect place, to be honest. I'm not sure
06:39they ever exist. And so that's that's that's our program. Obviously, obviously.
