00:00Good morning to all of us, this is the weather update for the day of Tuesday, January 18, 2025.
00:12We are not monitoring any typhoons or low-pressure areas inside and outside of our Philippine Area of Responsibility.
00:20But we have weather systems that will bring rains to different parts of our country.
00:26First is the North-East Monsoon, which is constantly raging here in the extreme northern Luzon.
00:32If we notice, here in a large part of our country, we are experiencing a hot and humid weather.
00:39This is due to the weakening of the North-East Monsoon and this is only affecting the extreme northern Luzon.
00:47Meanwhile, we also have the shear line or the hot and cold wind that is affecting the eastern section of the northern Luzon.
00:57And lastly, this is the Intertropical Convergence Zone or ITCZ that is affecting the southern Mindanao.
01:05For our weather today, we expect that the shear line will continue here in Isabela and Aurora.
01:15That is why we expect that there will be heavy rains.
01:21As for the North-East Monsoon, we expect that there will be heavy rains here in Batanes, Cagayan, and Apayao.
01:31As for Metro Manila and other parts of the Luzon, we expect that we will experience a hot and humid weather
01:39and that there will be a high chance of localised thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.
01:46That is why it is important for us to check the social media pages of Pag-asa for the upcoming thunderstorm advisory.
01:53The temperature for Metro Manila is 23 to 31 degrees Celsius.
01:58Lawag is 25 to 31 degrees Celsius.
02:01For Tuguegarao, we expect 24 to 30 degrees Celsius.
02:05Baguio, 16 to 24 degrees Celsius.
02:08For Tagaytay, 22 to 33 degrees Celsius.
02:11And Legazpi, 24 to 32 degrees Celsius.
02:17As for Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-tawi,
02:22including Sarangani and Sultan Kudarat,
02:25we also expect that there will be heavy rains.
02:30That is why it is called the Intertropical Convergence Zone.
02:34But for Palawan, Visayas, and other parts of Mindanao,
02:39we expect that there will be a clear weather
02:42and that there will be localised thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.
02:47We also expect that there will be frequent localised thunderstorms,
02:50especially here in the Intertropical Convergence Zone,
02:54particularly here in Mindanao.
02:57The temperature for Calayaan Islands and Puerto Princesa is 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.
03:03Iloilo, 26 to 32 degrees Celsius.
03:06For Cebu, we expect 26 to 31 degrees Celsius.

03:17Zamboanga, 24 to 32 degrees Celsius.
03:20And Davao, 24 to 34 degrees Celsius.
03:24We have not raised any gale warnings to any seaboards in our country.
03:29But we have to be extra careful for our fellow countrymen,
03:32especially for small sea vessels.
03:35This is due to the rain, especially our localised thunderstorms.
