Rain showers continue across the Philippines as 3 weather systems persist

00:00For now, we are not monitoring any typhoons or low-pressure areas inside and outside of our Philippine Area of Responsibility.

00:09But we have three weather systems that are currently affecting our country.

00:15The first one is the easterlies or the hot and windy winds coming from the Pacific Ocean.

00:21It is blowing here in Visayas and Mindanao.

00:25Meanwhile, we also have the northeast monsoon or the cold and windy winds that are affecting a large part of Luzon.

00:33Meanwhile, because of the easterlies, which is the hot and windy winds,

00:38and the northeast monsoon, which is the cold and windy winds,

00:41this collision is resulting in the so-called shear line that is currently affecting the eastern section of Luzon.

00:51For our time today, we expect that in the eastern section of Luzon,

00:56if we can see, we will experience a heavy downpour with heavy rains,

01:02including some parts of Mimaropa.

01:05This is the end of the shear line.

01:08Meanwhile, for the lower parts of Luzon, particularly here in Metro Manila,

01:14we expect that we will experience a heavy downpour,

01:17up to a heavy downpour with heavy rains that we expect.

01:22And we also expect that our early days will be cold.

01:27The temperature for Metro Manila is 23 to 30 degrees Celsius.

01:31Lawag, 22 to 30 degrees Celsius.

01:34Tuguegarao, 20 to 26 degrees Celsius.

01:37For Baguio, we expect 15 to 23 degrees Celsius.

01:41Tagaytay, 21 to 27 degrees Celsius.

01:44And Legazpi, 25 to 29 degrees Celsius.

01:49As we can see, the eastern section of Visayas and Mindanao

01:54will also experience a heavy downpour with heavy rains.

01:59This is the end of the easterly.

02:01But if we can see, for Palawan, the lower parts of Visayas and Mindanao,

02:11But we also expect localized thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.

02:17The temperature for Calayaan Islands and Puerto Princesa is 25 to 31 degrees Celsius.

02:23For Iloilo, we expect 24 to 31 degrees Celsius.

02:27Cebu, 25 to 30 degrees Celsius.

02:30Tacloban, 25 to 31 degrees Celsius.

02:33For Zamboanga, 23 to 32 degrees Celsius.

02:36Cagayan de Oro, 23 to 30 degrees Celsius.

02:39And Dabao, 23 to 32 degrees Celsius.

02:43We have a high gale warning here in the coastal waters of Batanes,

02:47Cagayan, along with Baboyan Islands, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, and Pangasinan.

02:54So we are warning our fellow countrymen

02:57that it is dangerous to move here in our so-called seaboards.

03:03Earlier at 5 a.m., we issued a weather advisory for the possible rain that will hit our shoreline.

03:10We expect 50 to 100 millimeters of rain here in Cagayan and Isabela.

03:17Because of this, we also expect the possibility of flash floods and landslides.
