Premier Jacinta Allan is forging ahead with a major housing density overhaul that could reshape suburban Melbourne's skyline in years to come. The state government has shrunk the footprint of some of its so-called "activity centres” as it tries to balance resident pushback with an urgent need for more homes. But finalised plans have confirmed apartment buildings of 10 or more storeys could soon tower over well-connected areas.
