00:00May 22, the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board of RTWPB 11 announced the approval of new daily minimum wage rates for employees in private sectors in the region.

00:17In addition to the minimum wage order, there is an increase of Php 29 per day for private sector employees.

00:26The average daily wage rate of Php 481 for the non-agricultural sector is now Php 510.

00:36And for the agricultural sector, the average Php 476 they earned is now Php 505.

00:46In addition to the good evaluation of socio-economic conditions, there is also a consultation with the agency and the public.

00:56The new daily minimum wage for the private sector in Davao Region will be approved on March 7.

01:05On February 20, the ground-breaking ceremony for the Php 7.21 million Technology Demonstration Project in Red Tilapia Farming in Pond,

01:20in the tourism site of Don Aurelio Chicote, Governor-General of Davao Oriental,

01:27This project aims to improve the production of aquaculture in the province so that it can be an alternative and sustainable source of income for the local people.

01:38The project will establish 6,735.5 square meters of learning and training sites,

01:47as well as a fishpond and demonstration area using the Red Tilapia Culture Technology.

01:53Red Tilapia was chosen because of its capacity to adapt to the salted water environment and its potential to be a cheap alternative to high-value fish species.

02:06According to the BFAR-11, their coordination with the local government and the Governor-General of Davao Oriental is a good project.

02:15I want to thank our fishermen.

02:18Because until now, based on the statistics,

02:24our fishermen are all of the poorest in the PCE study.

02:31But in our poverty incidence, we have 36%.

02:38Hopefully, in my leadership, we will not have 36%.

02:43This Red Tilapia site will be one of the first and hopefully one of many farming ponds in the province.

02:58Now with that, I would like to extend a challenge to Governor-General, under the leadership of Mayor Collot.

03:05As this project has started with you in command,

03:09we entrust it to you that you also see that it grows to even greater heights,

03:14that you will become a pioneer in the entire province.
