Transcript
00:00It was a challenging weekend for Shrewsbury Town as they fell to their third consecutive
00:06League One loss, a loss which has huge implications on their League One survival. This campaign,
00:14you know, after taking seven, I think they took seven points from the nine available
00:19against Mansfield, Rotherham and Reading, and left themselves, you know, with momentum
00:24and in a really, really good place, you know, at the start of February. But it's been a
00:29tricky run, which has seen Shrewsbury lose three games in eight days, and now they find
00:34themselves in quite a pickle, and they are seven points adrift of Peterborough United,
00:40who they now face this weekend in what will turn out to be a pivotal clash in Shrewsbury
00:46Town's survival race this season. A tricky game it was, but it was a game against Stevenage
00:53that you would have expected town to get something from. It was the game that Shrewsbury would
00:58have looked at last week and thought, yes, they really can get something from this match,
01:04but they didn't do enough in a game which appeared to be, you know, a complete stalemate
01:10with Stevenage not even managing to register a shot on target. They shouldn't have lost,
01:15but they managed to find a way, which has felt as if it's been a curse a little bit
01:19all too often this season as town find themselves in a real, real tricky position. Three games
01:25against sides now, starting with Peterborough this weekend, who are just above them in the
01:30league table, and you cannot say that the importance of these games is absolutely huge
01:36as they head to London Road, or the Western Home Stadium, as it's called now this weekend.
01:43By Monday morning, we will have a pretty good idea of which way Shrewsbury's season is going to go.
