00:00The Department of Migrant Workers, or DMW, vowed to continue its actions to immediately
00:06find the missing seafarers. This follows the Senate order for a new policy to install
00:12closed-circuit television or CCTV cameras on all ships, whether foreign or local,
00:19particularly in dangerous areas. In relation to this, Senate Committee on Migrant Workers
00:24Chairperson Senator Rafi Tulfo raised concerns over the increasing cases of missing Filipino
00:32seafarers. In a Senate hearing on March 6, Senator Tulfo immediately asked DMW Secretary
00:38Hans Leo Katna for a report on the missing seafarers who have still not been found.
00:44Some of these include Ralph Anthony Bubeles, who went missing on December 5, 2024,
00:51Jimbo Cadungo, who went missing on August 31, 2024, and Vincent Sandiego, who went missing on
00:58June 16, 2023. Meanwhile, the remains of Jerick Bueno, who went missing on February 22, 2025,
01:06have been found, but his autopsy report is still pending. According to Secretary Kakdak,
01:13the causes of their disappearances and death are still under investigation.
