00:00Okay, first of all, can we all collectively pretend that this is not happening right now?

00:04I don't think it's that noticeable on camera, but I burnt my face with a soup ladle yesterday,

00:09so even though it's not that big, it does hurt, so I'm like, hyper aware that it's there on my chin,

00:14and I felt like I had to address the elephant in the room, but anyway,

00:18we're gonna play our legacy challenge today, and it's actually been a little bit since we

00:22played in this save because I last filmed this before the expansion pack came out,

00:26but now Businesses and Hobbies is out, and we can actually start using it and thinking about

00:31how it's going to start affecting our save. In case you missed the last episode, I'm gonna

00:35really quickly catch you back up to speed, and don't worry, this is not the actual Grim Reaper,

00:39that's just Warren. It's kind of scary with him standing there in that outfit on our front porch.

00:43This is our legacy heir, Warren, who is in the Grim Reaper career. He lives here with his husband,

00:48Jace, who is in the Undertaker career and doing kind of bad at it. He's only level three,

00:53and together they have three kids. This one is Hay, who just aged up into a teen,

00:58his twin sister Leah is down here, she also just aged up into a teen,

01:02and they have a younger brother called Thorn, who is gonna become a child today.

01:06And with the new pack coming out, I don't really think that this family will own a small business,

01:11maybe the next generation could have a business. Are you about to sleep on this couch? Oh no,

01:15we're actually eating rice cakes down here and stinking up the room. Okay, cool. Well anyway,

01:19I don't really plan on opening a business with these sims anytime soon, but I do think it could

01:24be kind of fun for them to be customers of some businesses, and oh, okay. I'm no longer in the

01:30public eye, but I thought we could try to test out some stuff like that. Specifically, I built

01:35a hotel over the weekend, like a big giant resort in Sulani, and I was thinking that we could maybe

01:41go try to stay at that hotel with the entire family. It is winter, and I don't know what

01:47the weather is like in Sulani right now, but it's gotta be better than cold and rainy here in

01:52Ravenwood, right? Did I make this last episode, or? Guys, it's been so long since I played,

01:58I don't even know who this cake was for. We might as well come age up Thorn right now. I mean,

02:02there's a cake right there. It's a little bit early, but it's fine. He doesn't have that many

02:06skills either, but again, it's fine. Like, I'm over it, actually. I'm ready to not have toddlers

02:11anymore, I feel like we've been through a lot. He also stinks and I'm not really interested in

02:15giving him a bath, so let's just age him up now. Okay, where's he gonna go to age up? Probably

02:20gonna walk halfway across the house, and then maybe outside. Oh, no, we're gonna go stand in

02:24this corner and age up? No, oh, oh no, okay, we're walking again. He's autonomously going

02:28somewhere else to age up. How ridiculous is this? Oh, and straight back to right next to the kitchen!

02:34Okay, Thorn's trait will be? Oh, music lover. Oh, I like that. Let me give him a multi-skill

02:40aspiration, probably not that one. Oh, I like his hair that he aged up with, too. Well, we didn't

02:45get any bonus traits, but we are Grimborn, so that's fun. Oh, and this is the first big makeover

02:50we can do since we got the new pack. Do you think he would wear any of these, or are they like, not

02:55Grimborn enough? Of course, this one's like, the one sim who would probably wear all the life and

02:59death stuff. Let me randomize him some likes and dislikes. Okay, he hates fitness, he likes black,

03:04gray, and white. Oh, wow. He likes affection and complaining, but he hates silly behavior,

03:10which is funny because he was silly as a toddler. He does not like hardworking sims,

03:14and he does not like classical music. Oh my God, look at this styled look from life and death!

03:19I don't think I've used this one. I'm kind of obsessed with the little glasses. Maybe I'll

03:24make him wear those, maybe this can be our inspo. Oh, and he can get a really fancy suit. Can we

03:29swap this so he likes classical music? So maybe he's like, very formal. He like, wants to play

03:36the violin. This child has an Apple watch. I don't think that's gonna make much sense,

03:41will it? Maybe I'll have him take that off. Of all the sims to wear the Apple watch, probably

03:46not this one, right? He can have these little pajamas, maybe for parties we get these little

03:50suspenders on. I could see that for him. We can just do the swimsuit in black, his hot weather

03:56outfit. He could probably wear the t-shirt from Businesses and Hobbies for that. I feel like I'm

04:01really bad at putting together outfits. Oh, maybe he wears this one. And he can have some sneakers

04:06with it. This is the life and death cold weather outfit. I don't know if I'm gonna have him wear

04:12that. I might make him wear the Businesses and Hobbies sweater, though. He could also wear the

04:16new hat. I can't tell if I like it. Is this better in like, a gray? Oh, that is better. Okay, well

04:21there's Thorne's little outfit. I feel like he's all set up. Alright, well I will redo his bedroom,

04:25but I might wait until we get home from vacation to do it. It's kind of cute to go on a big trip

04:31for the holiday too, because it is New Year's Eve. I'm gonna real quick have everybody set a New

04:36Year's resolution to raise a skill. They're all kind of busy dancing downstairs. Oh, and today is

04:42gonna be prom, although they haven't been to high school yet, so maybe it won't be their prom.

04:46Don't they have to go to school at least once for prom to work? I think they can go next weekend,

04:50so we should be fine. Okay, resolutions all set. Oh, weird, because this is all set as being communal

04:57space, I can't put decor boxes up. Do I need to put it inside of our house? Oh, that's so weird.

05:03Okay, well decorations up, let's go on vacation. So I'm gonna link this video down below in case

05:08you want to watch me build the hotel. Oh dear, I don't want to travel. Okay, and I placed it in

05:13Sulani and I set it up so that a family runs this business, just because that way it'll be functional.

05:18I called it the resort and spa, and I'm gonna bring the entire house minus Ghost because I

05:23don't think Ghost wants to be there. I don't think that he would have a good time there.

05:26Um, it also looks like I disabled the entrance fee by accident, which is fine because that means we

05:32don't have to pay, but if I were you, I would probably set an entrance fee. Okay, I'm gonna

05:37have them claim maybe like, these three bedrooms. You can't actually claim them, it's just us playing

05:43pretend, but I'll have them sleep in there tonight, or we could have the parents take the nice

05:48bedroom upstairs. Irrational hatred for the sun. Oh my god, you're gonna have a horrible time on

05:53this vacation. Oh no. I take it you probably don't want to go sunbathe. He wants to go nap? He's

05:59autonomously going to go nap already? No, no no no, you should go play in the sand. Oh look,

06:04Warren's going to do yoga! That's actually really cute. Well, maybe that'll be the new skill he

06:08learns. We could ask this guy Bruce to start a yoga class. I don't think he's having a very good

06:13time. Drank pool water for my maintenance trade, oh my god. Oh, we're gonna have the worst time

06:18with her. You guys, I don't know if we should pick her as the heir. I don't think that she

06:22was really like, the top of the list anyway, but if she's gonna complain this much about everything,

06:28I don't know if I can have a high maintenance heir. I don't know if I can do it. Okay,

06:32I'm getting him to teach us a yoga class. He's gonna start lecturing, so I guess I'll listen to

06:37the lecture. Listen to wellness lecture. He wants me to level up a skill. We should be able to do

06:42that really easily, right? Even just by listening to the lecture. Oh yeah, easy. Easy, level two.

06:48I now need to discuss interests with him. What? A close encounter with death?

06:54What? What happened to him? Oh my God, get out of the sauna! What do you think you're doing in

07:00there? Were you actually in there for so long that you almost died? I don't know if I can

07:04handle this game. They have to be in there for a lot longer than that, don't they? What,

07:08he's giving me a massage now? Did I pay for that? I don't really think I did, but hey, that's fine.

07:13Oh my God, everybody's here, we're just like, napping. It's in the room. Are you hungry at all?

07:17Oh, maybe the kid can come play the piano. Oh, he would probably like that. That does feel like

07:22something he would enjoy. Warren's napping on this couch. Maybe you can come get a drink. You

07:26want to order your favorite drink, maybe? I am obsessed with Jace getting a massage, I think

07:30that's so fun. Scary noise, scary noise. What's the music mean? I'm scared. I don't like it. No,

07:35don't go to sleep. We're not here to go sleeping yet, I wanted you to order your favorite drink.

07:39We can also order food at the bar if we wanted to get something for everybody to eat. Maybe we

07:43could order like, fish and chips because that feels like a reasonable thing to buy. Alright,

07:48will you order the drink or will you not? That is the question. I'm gonna have everybody start

07:52coming up here, I think. Oh, he is ordering the drink, we're fine. All is well. Um, Jace just ate

07:57a cupcake full of dairy and now he's gonna poop his pants, so that's one thing. So that's fun.

08:03She's taking forever to get me my drink, honestly, like, really slow service at this bar.

08:07I missed the sunset even. Now the sun has set and it's dark outside. Do you want to give up?

08:12Do you want to ask her for a meal? Oh, she got us the fish and chips quick. You know what,

08:16let's just serve some food. Oh, you know what I'll do? I'll serve chili because that's how I

08:20burnt my face yesterday. Oh God. You know what, I need to stop triple speeding. I complain about

08:24the lag and about slow service and about things being slow and bad, but it's because I keep

08:28putting it on triple speed. I like, throw it off so bad doing that. Okay, everybody, if you would

08:33like to come eat this dinner, please come now. It's only 7 45. In my mind, I was pretending that

08:39this part is a restaurant. Obviously it's not actually a restaurant, but can we just pretend

08:43that we ordered the chili at the bar and then they came and served it to us at the table and

08:46we're all eating it together as a family, like we're at a restaurant? Because that's not what

08:49we're actually doing, but let's say that we're doing that. Also them coming up in their pajamas

08:54is so funny. Ooh, we got the home remedy special touch. I would like to make some family recipes

09:00too, I think that would be kind of an interesting thing to test out with the legacy. Obviously not

09:03here because we don't have a real kitchen, but I think that a family recipe makes sense as a

09:08legacy feature because then we can pass them down through generations. Lauren, maybe you could come

09:14take a mud bath or something as like, a fun spa treatment. How's everybody else doing? You need

09:19to shower, you can come shower here. The kid needs the bathroom. I guess I'm kind of trying to kill

09:24time before midnight because I'm gonna have them all come watch the big TV. This is the TV in the

09:29suite. Oh, the employees of the hotel are in here too, but we could watch the new year's eve countdown

09:35from inside of the suite upstairs, and I think that would be kind of nice. Maybe I'll just have

09:39them all come queue that up as soon as they're done. Whoa, why are you gonna shower there? Shower

09:43in here. Why are you so stinky? Oh, he's gonna miss it. Okay, watch new year's eve tv. Lauren,

09:49watch new year's eve tv. The kid, let's watch new year's eve tv. Hay is barely gonna make it, but

09:54he's fixing his hygiene, so we might be okay. We might be fine. I really want to get this countdown

09:59finished. I also feel really guilty that I didn't bring Nina with me. There's like, something kind

10:04of weird about her not being here on this vacation. This is our first big family outing without her

10:08in a long time. I guess it would have been bad for her to come to the beach. Let's think about

10:12this logically. My robot probably shouldn't come to the beach, but still, I feel guilty.

10:17Okay, Shashoubie, Shashoubie. Hi, Snap. Did you come for the countdown? I love that it's all our

10:22family plus this random lady who owns the hotel. Wait, the kid's not even in here! No! No, they're

10:28gonna miss it! Oh God, they won't watch it. They're being so slow. You're just running around outside

10:34at midnight, alone. You're a child. Oh, I can't even click on my sims, it won't go upstairs.

10:39We missed the fireworks and everything. Oh, that was kind of a flop. You know, I'll say this.

10:45Hotels in The Sims 4 work just about exactly how you would expect them to work, and I mean that

10:51in the most negative way possible. And obviously this isn't supposed to be a hotel pack, so like,

10:56the point of the pack isn't to be able to use and play with hotels, but it is kind of sad that it's

11:01like this because you want it to work a little bit better, right? I want to at least pretend. Okay, I

11:05don't know how this sleeping is gonna work, I feel like they're gonna constantly wake themselves up,

11:09and also we can't like, super speed through the night. It's not gonna let us do that either

11:13because we're on a public lot. You know, this is kind of giving High School Musical, like us being

11:17at this fancy resort for the new year. We watched a big countdown thing, there was no karaoke, but

11:23do you kind of get the vibes? There's also other guests here, like oh my God, Jackson Bird! That's

11:28a distant relative of ours, that's hilarious. Who else is here? Oh, the owner, obviously. The other

11:33owner is here. That's the other owner. There's like, a family of four that runs the place. How

11:38are you stinky again? Doesn't it seem like his hygiene is going down really quick? Alright,

11:42well, the employees aren't cleaning up the breakfast room, so I guess I'll clean that.

11:47And in the morning, my intention is to make waffles for us all to eat. Oh, it looks like

11:51Jace is up first. Maybe he could go on like, a beach jog this morning. Wouldn't that be kind of

11:57fun? That feels very vacation. I was gonna say a sunrise jog, but I don't know what time the sunrise

12:02is. That's fine. Hey, he'll be out. He'll be out when the sun comes up, that's all that matters.

12:06Warren, what about you? Maybe you could come shower. Oh, he just jogged right into the ocean.

12:11Okay, socks and shoes on and everything. Oh, it's bunny day! Okay, we're like, really gonna knock out

12:17all the holidays, huh? Let me have Warren. Oh, yeah, Jace, you can be active. I was gonna say I'll

12:22have Warren make the waffles this morning. Don't sleep! Ugh, that's like, the annoying part about

12:27coming here, when sleeping is one of the lot activities, they keep trying to autonomously

12:31sleep all the time. How about banana split waffles? That feels kind of like a fun holiday breakfast

12:37one. Okay, we got Leah in the sauna autonomously, Thorne's going to do yoga, Hayes still asleep,

12:42Jace is finishing his jog in the stinky water because this is the stuff that you have to clean

12:46up. Oh, and now he stinks. You can maybe come use the pool showers, then. I'm thinking this morning

12:51we'll have a family breakfast with the waffles and then we can do like, a family pool day and

12:56then we'll go home. So we won't be here for too much longer, maybe until like, the early afternoon.

13:01Okay, I'm serving up the waffles. Classic hotel breakfast room energy. Does everybody want to come

13:06eat breakfast? They're gonna take forever to get up here because we're like, halfway across the

13:10world in this ceiling of this building. Also, I never opened up this mysterious package.

13:15I've been given potions, spoiled cake, and fish. Alright. Oh no, the electronics are gonna constantly

13:21break because of the rain. This is not a good day for us to be here, is it? At least it didn't rain

13:26yesterday. Mikayla Reagan has died, okay. I don't know her. I feel like I recognize the name. I have

13:32a memory of me being like, oh, Mikayla, great name because it's like Kayla, but I don't know who this

13:38is. She was an elder, it's fine. Also, now that it's raining today, it's making me really think like,

13:43wow, it's a good thing that we did not bring Nina because she would have died out there in the rain,

13:48and that would have been bad. I feel like I need to use the pool while we're here, just because we

13:53came all this way, but the weather is not good. Like, this is not a fun time for us to go swimming.

13:58It's not raining that hard though, and it's kind of clearing up a little bit. Oh, I'm a little

14:02disappointed. I still want a hotel pack so bad, but this has just been like, fine. I feel fine about

14:09my little playing pretend hotel excursion, but I don't know. It's not really a hotel, is it? You

14:15want me to become an astronaut when my brother calls and asks me to become an astronaut? I don't

14:20think I'm gonna do that. I think I'm actually just gonna go home. I might just go back to the house

14:25straight away. Let's head out to Ravenwood. We can celebrate bunny day here once we get home, and then

14:30Nina can be a part of it. I don't want to be gone for too much longer. Oh, and I gotta redo the kid's

14:34room. I might just give him a child-sized bed for now, and then I'll do a full room makeover

14:38another time. We do have a toddler bed right now though, so that is not gonna work. We're gonna

14:42need a slight upgrade. I also might want to buy him a violin if we're gonna have him become very

14:47musical. The weather is nicer here at home than it was at the vacation. It's actually really nice

14:53here. Look, it's like, sunny, it's a nice spring day. Yeah, it's good that we came home. It was

14:58terrible in Sulani. We have a lot of money, so maybe I'll buy something that's like, kind of

15:02expensive. This is the one from Realm of Magic. I feel like that could be kind of cool. Oh, this

15:07room looks terrible like this. And that has sort of the bluish gray. Oh my god, and he has this piano

15:12art print! It's like he was born for this, that's so funny. Okay, life and death has a really nice

15:17nightstand, let's put that too. I do not really like this. The rug looks kind of silly. Sequence

15:24of love candle bunch. Maybe he can have some candles. Alright, let me get that kid's violin,

15:28too. Amateur hour child's violin. Yeah, that should do it for now. Okay, somehow everybody is

15:33stinky. Maybe after he finishes bathing, he can hunt for eggs. Oh, you know what else I can do

15:38is get rid of this toddler slide because we don't have a toddler anymore. That's kind of sad. Oh,

15:43would you look who it is! Hi, flower bunny. I'm not gonna fight you for eggs, but I will come talk

15:48to you, I guess. Is that? Oh my god, it's Nina harvesting the meat. I don't know about that.

15:52I do love that like, she lives here and she just does things autonomously though, because that is

15:57so funny. Like, we need a screenshot of that. We need to have this for the memory books.

16:01Whoa, jump scare with the bunny, too. Take a screenshot of that. Oh my god, angles. Okay,

16:05flower bunny, Nina with the meat. This save is so ridiculous. I actually can't get over it. Okay,

16:11um, anyway. Thorne, did you even do any of the hunting for eggs like I asked you to? I feel

16:15like you didn't listen to me. That's okay, you can hunt for eggs in the kitchen cabinets. And

16:19our cat is eating the cake. Okay, great. Oh, I also left the waffles that I made at the resort.

16:25I probably should have brought those home with me, but I kind of forgot. I guess it doesn't

16:28matter too much. We got an egg? Oh, I got three eggs! Oh, we should have everybody hunt for eggs.

16:33I think he just tried to shoo the cat out of the bathroom. Maybe we should try and hang out

16:37with the cat. I am getting a little bit scared that he's gonna die soon because Ghost is an

16:42elder, and I can't remember how long it's been. I almost like, try not to think about it when my

16:47sims pets get old like this. Like, I don't want to know when the cat's gonna die, I'm not interested

16:51in having that information. It does make it worse when the cat does die, but at least then I'm not

16:56like, dwelling on it waiting for- oh my God! Hold on, speaking of dying, glitch needs repaired.

17:01And you want me to become a dance team captain? This brother of ours has called us multiple times

17:07offering just the most random jobs. Look, another call about being an artist! Leave me alone.

17:13But we don't have any robotics skill. I think I managed to help her though. Oh no, who died that

17:17time? It didn't even say. Oh, here we go, now it's saying. Glitch Belle?

17:24No no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no

17:30I don't agree with that, hold on. I literally fixed her, and then she walked away. What do

17:35you mean she died? Let me play in that- she did! No, she's literally dead. Oh my God, this is not,

17:42that does not work with my plans for Nina's life. This is not what I wanted to have happen for Nina,

17:47that is not what I was going for. I wanted her to get married and like, adopt a baby and live

17:53happily ever after with her robot wife. I'm trying to think about the best way for me to go about

17:57this. Lost in the family, slipped through my fingers, but she doesn't look dead to me.

18:03Glitch Belle, invite over to current lot. That's no ghost, she's right there! What does it mean?

18:09What's happening? Can I just add her to my household again? Are we still married? Oh no,

18:13because she died, so we're not married anymore? We're just soulmates? No, I'll make sure that our

18:19durability is high. I'll just fix that real quick. No, we're not in dire need of repair,

18:23we're actually okay. I don't know if this is like, a residential rental bug, or if it's a robot bug,

18:30or what is going on, but it seems like we managed to fix it. I was gonna sit here and ask you all

18:35like, should I cheat to get her back, but I didn't even have to. No, no, no, I want you to

18:40woohoo. Come on, woohoo with Nina. Oh, we can't get through past this thing, that's fine, I'll get

18:44rid of it. Woohoo with Nina. I just keep seeing the flower bunny out of the corner of my eye,

18:48I think it left just now, but I kept seeing the flower bunny like, roaming around. It's so weird.

18:53Okay, well, it appears that Glitch is back and that we're fine, so maybe that was a false alarm,

18:59but it literally killed her. Like, Nina said that her spouse was dead, I gotta pop up. I don't know

19:05what happened just then, but um, I think we're back and if it happens again, I'll fix it again,

19:11I guess. If they had done that to Nina, I would have lost my mind. Like, I would have maybe had

19:16to stop playing. If that was Nina, I don't think I would have been able to continue. I'm being

19:20serious, I'm not cut out for that. Okay, well, I'm back in our household. All is well, everything's

19:25fine. Oh, Nina! Look at her, she's working out. We should probably get to know her a little bit

19:29more. Congratulate on marriage. Hey, is that insensitive, given that her wife died this

19:34afternoon? Maybe. Alright, let me clean up some of these plants that I have in my inventory.

19:39We'll sell those, and then maybe I'll make Jace do some cooking. Oh, I didn't go to work. Oh no,

19:44I wanted to go to work with Warren today, but I guess I wasn't in the household so I didn't get

19:48the opportunity to. That makes sense. Okay, let me come get the mail. Let me come downstairs and

19:52grab it, I think it's probably gonna be bills. Oh no, it's a lot of presents. Oh, we probably

19:58haven't gotten the mail in a while, since all these kids were born. That's good money. Hey,

20:02I'll take it, and then you can do your homework. Maybe your sister can do her homework too. And

20:06this might even be a decent stopping point for the episode. I feel like my main goal today was

20:12just to go on that vacation and test it out, so I'm glad that we got to do that. I think

20:17next time we play – oh, Vernon, hey! That was like, our ghost bestie as a child. I think next

20:21time we play, I would like for Nina to adopt her baby. I was gonna do it today, but then I decided

20:26I wanted to test out the expansion pack stuff a little bit more, which I think makes sense,

20:30it's timely. Oh boy, somebody come feed this quick. Somebody come take care of this thing

20:34immediately. Okay, so next episode, robot baby. Assuming that nobody is dead, robot baby. I'll

20:41also have the bedroom renovated by the time we play again. I don't think I'll make a whole video

20:45on it this time, but I will set it up for us to have for the next episode. Let me know if you

20:50have any theories about how that happened to glitch, because if there's a way that I can avoid

20:54it in the future, I would love to know. But to me, it looked like I fixed her and then she walked

21:00into her house, and then all of a sudden it said she was dead, so I don't understand. But even when

21:05Nina had that dying incident, she kind of glitched too, because she was stuck in the rain and I

21:10physically couldn't bring her in and like, nobody would fix her. When I tried hiring someone to

21:14repair her, they wouldn't do it and then she died, so I think maybe servos are just kind of buggy.

21:18I guess I should have expected that from a sim that is literally named Glitch. I'm like,

21:23sad you're surprised that Glitch glitched. But anyway, thank you for watching, I'm gonna wrap
