00:00Hello, there. Welcome to your latest weather update from the MetEyes. Well, over the coming
00:04days, high pressure is going to remain firmly in charge across the UK, keeping things fairly
00:09settled. A weak weather front will be a focus of cloud over the weekend. But as we go into
00:15next week, that high pressure begins to move towards the continent, and that allows us
00:19to start to drag in some warmer air from the near continent, especially as we move into
00:24Wednesday and Thursday. But back to the here and now, we're still under the influence of
00:29some cooler northerly winds. This weak weather front across the far north will be a focus
00:33of some cloud and some patchy rain. But elsewhere, a fairly reasonable afternoon to come with
00:39a mixture of cloud and sunshine. Better the sunshine for parts of East Anglia and the
00:43southeastern corner of England. And where we do see the sunnier skies, I think temperatures
00:48will reach around 10 to 12 degrees. Under the cloud, feeling, I think, fairly disappointing,
00:53especially compared to this time last week. Into the evening, this weak weather front
00:59will continue to track its way a little bit further southwards, with the clearest of the
01:04skies overnight, probably across the very far south of the country. So it's here where
01:09we'll see temperatures fall widely below freezing. In the countryside, we could see lows falling
01:13down to minus four or minus five degrees, where reversely, a slightly less cold night
01:18across the north, thanks to the cloud cover, with many towns and cities holding up just
01:23above freezing. So into Sunday morning, a bright but frosty start across the far south.
01:29Any mist and fog patches quickly clearing. And it's really here where we see the best
01:33of the sunshine throughout the day. Also, parts of Scotland actually a brighter day
01:37compared to today, especially across the western half of the country, where elsewhere, a mixture
01:43of cloud and a few glimmers of sunshine. And that cloud will be thick enough in places
01:47to produce the odd spot of rain. But most of the rain will be mainly light in nature.
01:53Temperatures on Sunday, very similar to what we'll see this afternoon. I think highs certainly
01:57reaching double figures where we do see the sunniest skies. Again, maybe a little bit
02:02disappointing if you are stuck under the cloud. But as I mentioned, as we go through the course
02:07of the next week, temperatures will be on the rise. But you can find out more about
02:12that on our social media channels. But for me for now, take care and I'll see you again
02:16soon.
