00:00Now, back to Stiney and Guru on 95.7 The Game.
00:05The crossover is brought to you by Abundant Life Weight Loss.
00:08They know the secret to losing up to one pound of fat every day.
00:11Go to AbundantLifeWeightLoss.com.
00:13Let's welcome in Willard and Gibbs.
00:15Missed you yesterday, gents.
00:17Yeah.
00:17Missed you.
00:18Well, Stiney, I got it because I know you're on the four corners.
00:23The Luka thing, I didn't know why he got traded,
00:26but this firing of Michael Malone,
00:27I just, I want a basketball cigarette.
00:31How do you fire a coach that's won and you're the fourth seed?
00:36I know you're struggling and you're missing your dude, Jamal Murray.
00:40I mean, he's their other dude.
00:42He's not their dude, dude.
00:43But I hear you.
00:45I don't know, man.
00:46I've never seen anything like this.
00:48The Western Conference, to basically qualify as a top eight seed,
00:53you're going to need almost 50 wins,
00:55yet half the teams are in front office turmoil.
00:59They're all playing phenomenal basketball.
01:03But Memphis, turmoil.
01:04Denver, turmoil.
01:06Dallas, turmoil.
01:10I mean, I'm not, yeah.
01:12Like, that's probably it for the word turmoil.
01:15But the Lakers have had an interesting year.
01:19I still am never going to know exactly who or what the Clippers are.
01:23Because sometimes they play their players and sometimes they don't.
01:25We'll know Sunday.
01:26Yeah.
01:27It's a weird year.
01:29It's an interesting year.
01:30Stripes to you dibs or just par for the course with this fire?
01:33No, it's strange.
01:34And, you know, you think about, like, how late it is.
01:37And so you make the move now.
01:40And the GM, too.
01:41And what can the GM do between now and June?
01:45Not a damn thing.
01:46Like, you can't 10-day somebody.
01:49You can't, like, pick up somebody in the portal.
01:52The GM is just, he's just there.
01:55Like, what's done is done.
01:56A card laid is a card played.
01:58And Michael Malone, that's the interesting one.
02:01So you look at Malone, and so suddenly he's not the guy for that team,
02:06even though, what, was it two years ago they won the title?
02:10So two years ago they were the champions, and he was good enough with mostly the same team.
02:17And now, after game 79, he's not good enough, and the GM's got to go?
02:22This feels to me like ownership is responding to a player or multiple players who are like,
02:29you know what, we can't do this anymore.
02:31And you can look at Taylor Jenkins, and even further back, like Mike Brown in Sacramento.
02:37How's that worked out for Sacramento?
02:39So they fire Mike Brown, and they've been the same, if not worse, since then.
02:45So this year feels a little bit of a crazy, weird year.
02:49Like, you've got players who, I believe, are, you know, kind of knocking on the door
02:54and saying, we can't do this.
02:56So now you get Rick Adelman's son, who's going to take over,
03:01and is he going to make them suddenly a live team in the playoffs?
03:06I don't know, guys.
03:07I mean, it feels super defeatist as well.
03:09Like, somewhere along the line, somebody's saying, well, we weren't,
03:13and I heard you guys play the Denver radio guys.
03:16Well, we weren't going to win it anyway.
03:18You weren't?
03:19I mean, you're 47-32.
03:22The Lakers are terrified of you.
03:23It's the only team in the West.
03:25I was terrified of you.
03:26The Lakers are terrified of you.
03:28The Warriors were four days ago.
03:31And you have Nikola Jokic.
03:33And if you win a couple games this week, you can have home court advantage in round one.
03:37And you've decided you got no shot?
03:39Wow.
03:40I don't, I mean, I wish I knew.
03:42I wish I knew.
03:43I do not.
03:44There are three things that have happened this year
03:46that I still haven't figured out.
03:49And that is today with Denver, Memphis last week,
03:53and what Dallas was thinking at the trade deadline.
03:57I don't fully understand what's going on.
04:00It's crazy.
04:01The latest firing since 1981, Stiney, when Hubie Brown was fired at this same juncture,
04:09he was the coach then of the Atlanta Hawks.
04:11And in 1981, Hubie's team was 31-51.
04:18And back then, only six teams made the playoffs.
04:20And so Hubie, he didn't get the play-in game.
04:23You know, there were only 13 teams in the East.
04:27And so Hubie got got at this same juncture.
04:30But you look at Denver, and they're a playoff team.
04:33They're 47-32.
04:34That's the difference.
04:35They might be a play-in team, but whatever they are,
04:37they get to play game 83, maybe 84, and maybe more beyond that.
04:43And Michael Malone is the guy who won a chip two years ago.
04:46So there's got to be more to this than just, you know,
04:51oh, we need to make a move here in mid-April.
04:54It makes no sense.
04:55I told Stiney, Jokic had to sign.
04:57I don't have the power to judge anybody.
05:00I guess.
05:00But come on, Willard, that first quarter against the Warriors,
05:03he's already won you a chip.
05:04You don't make a move like this if he would get upset or say he didn't want it?
05:08Probably not.
05:09But I don't know.
05:10We don't know Jokic like that.
05:13You know what I mean?
05:13Yeah.
05:14And I don't know Denver like that.
05:16This is, you know, you're fourth.
05:18You would have thought.
05:20But that kind of, I guess what you just tapped into
05:22is exactly what I'm talking about with these three situations.
05:26We always think of life that way in the NBA.
05:28It goes through your stars.
05:29You go to your one.
05:30They're the ones actually making the moves.
05:32But those three things, do they smell at all like things that players would do?
05:39Luka got traded for AD in the middle of the night.
05:42They are NBA ones.
05:44No one obviously asked them.
05:46LeBron will tell you that he didn't know.
05:48I don't know if he did or not.
05:49But, like, I don't think that was him making the move.
05:53And was John Morant making the move in Memphis?
05:57That doesn't make any sense either.
06:00Why would you do that a week before the playoffs start?
06:06I don't know how that helps you.
06:09I mean, the only way it helps you is if they thought the team had quit on him right now.
06:13But, I mean, like, you could do that in three weeks then.
06:17Yeah, when you get fired, like, ten minutes after.
06:19Mark Willard's been, that's how it works.
06:21Why now?
06:22I don't know.
06:22Yeah.
06:23I don't know.
06:25Well, I think the reason is, and they may be wrong, but clearly the reason is that they
06:31believe if they enter the playoffs as is, they were guaranteed to get beat.
06:37Like, they must have seen something that they, you know what?
06:40And it might have been the game against the Warriors, quite frankly.
06:43Maybe.
06:43But, yeah, I'm not saying it's not unusual.
06:47I'm just trying to draw the conclusion that they must have drawn.
06:51But also, we've seen a firing this late in the season in the Bay.
06:57Very recently.
06:58Gabe Kaplan.
06:59Oh!
06:59Yeah.
07:00Gabe Kaplan.
07:00You're going to let me marinate on that for a while.
07:02But that was totally different.
07:04He had a sit back.
07:05Yeah.
07:05Right.
07:06But, I mean, that was not a team that was a year and a half removed from a title and
07:11a team that was moving toward a championship.
07:14107 wins?
07:15Two years prize.
07:16Which got you what?
07:17But they were about to go home.
07:19Exactly.
07:20You're welcome.
07:20The season was over.
07:21They had no playoffs.
07:22But I'm just saying.
07:23Same thing with Hubie Brown.
07:24Like, this is unprecedented.
07:27Their teams are fourth and fifth.
07:28War when they got fired.
07:31Yeah.
07:31What?
07:33I think you're actually making it.
07:34What's the issue?
07:35I think you're making it too simple.
07:37No, no, no.
07:37I think it's no more for sure.
07:39They must have come to the decision that they weren't going to win.
07:42I don't think that's enough.
07:44I don't think that this is necessarily just about this year.
07:47This reeks to me of something going on behind the scenes in terms of relationships.
07:55Whether it was the GM and the coach not getting along.
07:58They said the GM and the coach hated each other.
08:00Hated each other.
08:00I know that there are those who have said this is also about Malone bucking against the fact
08:07that ownership wouldn't loosen the purse strings enough to get players.
08:11This feels relational to me, not X's and O's.
08:16Yeah.
08:17And I mean, it's fair to think that.
08:19Totally.
08:20You know, you look at the other firings this year, and I'm thinking about Sacramento, where
08:23on December 27th, when they fired Mike Brown, the Sacramento Kings were the 12th seed.
08:31And now where are you?
08:32Are you the, you're the nine?
08:34Tim.
08:34Yeah.
08:35And you're going nowhere.
08:36You're right.
08:36You're nine, and you're going nowhere.
08:37So they are slightly better than 500 under Doug Christie, and you traded your best player after that.
08:44And so, yeah, is Doug the answer?
08:46Was Mike the problem?
08:47No.
08:48It's a broken organization led by Vivek Ranadive, Stiney's former friend from way, way, way back.
08:57And you're running your organization.
08:59It's a joke.
09:01You can light the beam all you want, but you are.
09:03And also ran.
09:04It was broken now.
09:05Right.
09:05And, you know, Dallas, whether or not they want to move to Vegas, that is a theory.
09:09But you traded your franchise player for a guy who's often hurt, and now you are kind
09:15of a laughingstock, and you're fighting for the 10th seed.
09:18You're going nowhere.
09:19And Denver, you were the champ two years ago, and you're going to fire Michael Malone, who
09:24is a well-respected coach, much like Mike Brown, and the GM.
09:28So now what?
09:29But you're going to have young Adelman, Derek, or Nick, Frank, I can't remember his name.
09:36I heard it earlier.
09:36I just think it's a bad look to the fraternity of coaches, and that's why Stiney was like,
09:40no, seriously, what did you think of Mike Malone before?
09:43And I asked you on air.
09:44I like him as a coach.
09:45He was a great, stellar coach to me.
09:47I believe what he was putting down.
09:49Not perfect.
09:50Like, again, I...
09:50So you can, the guys like that, Willard, can get run four days before the playoffs, and
09:55you're the fourth seed?
09:56But, like, we know nothing about what's going on there.
09:58And I guess that's where I'm at.
09:59Nothing should constitute...
10:01Yeah, you get fired as soon as the season's over, but nothing should put you to where you
10:05get fired.
10:05They better not make a run, because if they make a run, to me, that tells me that then
10:11they maybe knew something.
10:12All right, let's put the rat on the table.
10:13Is this brought to you by Echo?
10:14Is this the new norm now?
10:16No.
10:16In the NBA?
10:17Of course not.
10:18Like, did you all see this video that's...
10:20Jokic?
10:21No, it's getting a lot of run of Malone in a press conference three weeks ago, after
10:25they were in Portland and lost a game.
10:26I played at first time, yeah.
10:28And...
10:28He went in.
10:29He called out his players.
10:30He said some of them were full of bleep.
10:32Yeah.
10:33And said that absolutely none of them watch film.
10:35I heard it all.
10:35They don't watch film on themselves.
10:37They don't watch their minutes.
10:38He ripped his players.
10:40And that's not against the rules.
10:43That's not the end of the world.
10:45It is a little bit of a throwback.
10:47You don't see it a lot.
10:48Steve Kerr has never, ever...
10:51He did pods a little bit, didn't he?
10:52Right?
10:53But, like, that wasn't like Brandon doesn't work hard and he's full of bleep.
10:58Brandon knows he can't do that.
11:00Right.
11:00Right?
11:01Kind of stuff.
11:02You know, we want to see J.K. rebound.
11:05That's different than you're full of bleep.
11:08I played it for some time.
11:09They won't watch...
11:09So, I don't know.
11:11Maybe they all hated each other in there.
11:14And the only thing they think they need, with all the talent they have,
11:18are some good vibes.
11:19So, am I wrong as a Warrior fan that I want Denver or Memphis now
11:23because of what I think is going on in the house?
11:25I think that if you're a Warrior fan, for me, remove the opponent.
11:29Just get in.
11:31I am not worried about who they play.
11:33Get a series.
11:34No doubt.
11:35I feel like, and you're listening to 95.7, the game, KGM, ZFM, and HD1 San Francisco.
11:40Always live on the free Odyssey app and now broadcasting from the Laughing Monk studios.
11:45Laughing Monk righteously brewed in San Francisco.
11:48I really don't believe we know if there's a difference in the opponent for the Warriors
11:55among the Lakers, the Nuggets, and the Rockets.
11:59I'm convinced that we really don't know who's the toughest team that the Warriors would have
12:06out of those three.
12:07I think it might be any of the three.
12:11I have no idea.
12:12Well, and different challenges.
12:14And, I mean, you're great at breaking this down.
12:16Like, if you face the Lakers, what are the challenges and what are the benefits of facing L.A.?
12:22Well, you've got the whistle that's probably going to go against you because Luke and LeBron
12:26are very good at drawing fouls.
12:27And, the matchup is a tough one, but at the same time, you do feel like no one can guard
12:33Steph in that series like Houston can.
12:37And, Denver, well, now it comes down to the Joker and, you know, can you contain the Joker?
12:43Can you make him a passer?
12:44Well, do you really want him to be a passer?
12:46I do think that all three of those series, and I'm getting ahead of myself because they
12:50may be in the play-in and they may be uno, dos, adios, I hope not.
12:54But, I do think, Stiney, when you look at those three teams, it is three different series,
13:00but all of them, for me, are six games minimum.
13:03I also don't think the list is longer than that.
13:08These teams are so, you could end up with the Clippers.
13:10You could end up with the T-Wolves.
13:12Oh, boy.
13:12Any one of those teams could end up being the four, and you could be the five.
13:17Like, anything.
13:18It all starts tonight.
13:19Yeah, no doubt.
13:20Tonight is so good.
13:22Tonight is so good.
13:23It's like a pennant race.
13:24If you're a big Warrior fan, just get as many TVs into one room as possible, as many channels
13:31as possible, throw a Giants game up in the corner as well, and just...
13:35No, they can't hit.
13:36They can't, too.
13:37I told Stiney, this is the first one under Kerr regime to where a season's gone down like
13:43this, where you're scoreboard watching, because with Durant, you knew where they were.
13:472022, they got up to that start.
13:49That was solidified.
13:50This is like that...
13:52This felt a little bit of two years ago, Phil.
13:54When they got up to that great start, and they were in the third seed.
13:57No, when they were...
13:57No, 23.
13:58The Lakers.
13:58Two years ago.
13:59No, when they...
14:00Yeah.
14:00When they beat the Kings and lost to the Lakers.
14:02They were six in the...
14:03You needed games the last week in order to avoid the play.
14:07It wasn't this...
14:08Well...
14:09It wasn't this jammed up.
14:10And I also think that that year, the Sacramento Kings were the one.
14:15Yes.
14:15Like, it fell into place playing sack in that first round.
14:20This year, all I'm saying is, I don't know who you want.
14:23I don't know.
14:24Because Houston, to me, I don't know why I wasn't...
14:26I missed you guys yesterday.
14:28I had to put some respect on them.
14:30Like...
14:30Sure.
14:31And what fool would think that the team with the second seed is not...
14:34But they are...
14:35That defense was something else.
14:37They had a lot to do with why the Warriors were flustered.
14:40I'll just leave it at that.
14:41Agreed.
14:41And also, and you know me, I'm a big fan of the referees.
14:44But the way a game is officiated, if a game is officiated that way, which is, we're going
14:49to let it play...
14:50Oh, man.
14:51Then that favors Houston.
14:53And Emei Adoka actually even said it.
14:55Like, as soon as they start crying...
14:57That was a great line.
14:57We've won.
14:58And he's right.
14:59And if the refs are going to allow them to restrict Steph like that, well, then the
15:03Warriors have a real hard time.
15:05Especially when Jimmy Butler, eh, I'm just going to shoot it seven times because I don't
15:10want to take a bad shot.
15:12Come on, Jimmy.
15:13Thank God for pods.
15:14Your coach said it's playoff time.
15:16Turn into playoff Jimmy.
15:17You're getting 51 million.
15:19Take the blank thing over.
15:20I don't get it.
15:21I do not.
15:23Can you play the...
15:24I do not.
15:25Be impactful.
15:26Maybe not.
15:27I do not understand this.
15:29Jimmy Wiggins or Andrew Butler?
15:31Oh, God.
15:32Which one do you prefer?
15:32Check him on this one, though.
15:34No, I've heard it.
15:34Oh, you heard it.
15:35You guys played it a thousand...
15:36Play it again.
15:36Maybe not.
15:37Play it again.
15:38All right, Jimmy.
15:39Should you be more aggressive scoring, Jimmy?
15:41More aggressive Jimmy scoring?
15:43Maybe.
15:43Maybe not.
15:44No, my thing is I'm going to make the right player majority of the time.
15:47Probably like nine out of ten times.
15:49So if I get in there and draw help, I'm going to kick it to the open guy.
15:52But I'm not going to say that anybody scoring was the reason that we did not win this game.
15:59I'm going to stick to turnovers.
16:01You know, we had 20 of them.
16:02It's going to be hard to win in any basketball game if we got 20 turnovers.
16:06You ungrateful, blowing-in-the-wind warrior fans blow me away.
16:11You blow me away.
16:12This guy comes in here.
16:14This guy comes in here and doesn't lose a game.
16:18He does not lose a game yet maybe once every week and a half.
16:22Well, they lost Sunday.
16:24This guy comes in and plays with Steph Curry.
16:26They've lost three basketball games.
16:29And half of you think you know how he's supposed to play ball.
16:33You have got to be flipping kidding me.
16:36Anybody in a warrior jersey gets to score the ball.
16:39That's it.
16:40You guys sound a lot like the Niner fans when they would win by three touchdowns
16:44and George Kittle would get two touchdowns.
16:46Exactly.
16:46Where's Debo?
16:48Why didn't Debo get more involved?
16:50That's exactly it.
16:51I'm right in that line with what you're saying.
16:54He's been incredible.
16:55Jimmy Butler knows what he's doing.
16:57He knows what he's doing.
16:59He is a brilliant basketball player.
17:00But you're on the borderline of playing.
17:03You're playing.
17:05Thanks to him.
17:06Not on the court.
17:08Thanks to him.
17:08You're playing.
17:09And when you win, it's fine.
17:11But if you come up short and you're doing that stuff.
17:14No.
17:15And I'm just like.
17:16Guru, how did they get here?
17:17No.
17:17They got here by him playing the way he's playing.
17:19And that's why it's more frustrating when Steph is on lock or he can't get off.
17:23Give me more than seven shots.
17:25Why?
17:25Pod should never double your field goal attempts.
17:28Guru, why?
17:28And he's playing in the microphone.
17:31And you guys are going for it.
17:32You can't answer this.
17:33Why?
17:34Why does it need to be him?
17:36What happened to he unlocked all of Jimmy?
17:39So what?
17:39That's a label.
17:40You made that up.
17:41I didn't make that up.
17:42No.
17:42The fans did.
17:43The media did.
17:43Jimmy Bucket.
17:44Swimmers.
17:45Yes.
17:45Not Jimmy Passes.
17:46You're also not in the playoff.
17:48It's Jimmy Bucket.
17:48And that doesn't need to be points.
17:50That needs to be great leadership basketball.
17:53What happened to he arrived here and unlocked everybody?
17:56What happened to that?
17:57We're living it.
17:58Then let it happen.
17:59Okay, but when you play top tier defense and dogs like Houston, what happened?
18:03This guy went into what we...
18:04I had face paint on yesterday because they were so awesome last week.
18:10And you're mad because you didn't like Exhausted Sunday because he only shot seven times instead
18:17of 12.
18:18I'm not mad.
18:18Willard, I'm worried.
18:18That's all.
18:19Listen, I don't get it.
18:21I do not get anyone who thinks they know more about how Jimmy Butler is supposed to play
18:27basketball.
18:27I don't get it.
18:28But then what are you doing?
18:28What do you mean what am I doing?
18:29If you say I'm thinking how he's supposed to think, what are you doing on the opposite
18:35side?
18:35I'm not.
18:36Because you don't know.
18:36You don't have the answer.
18:37He should not shoot seven field goals.
18:40Why?
18:40In a game, you're that good and Curry is bottled up.
18:43If that's the right play.
18:44I don't need to be in the know to know that's wrong and you're playing.
18:48Guru.
18:48He's playing with all of us.
18:49Guru.
18:50If that's the right play, then that's the right play.
18:54And if his teammates turn it over 19 times, which they did, then that's their problem.
19:00But what about being aggressive?
19:02Did you watch the national championship game last night?
19:04You know what they needed?
19:05They needed Jimmy Butler.
19:06They needed somebody who would create a flipping shot for one another because they spent an
19:12entire half not being able to get a shot off because none of them know how to play
19:16basketball.
19:16So you have everything you said about what he's brought.
19:20I'm in line.
19:21It's incredible.
19:22Let him do it.
19:23It's winning.
19:24More than capable of being aggressive.
19:27Do you want that?
19:28Because the team lost, Willard, and nobody could create a shot.
19:31No, Guru.
19:32They've won 21.
19:33No, I'm talking about Sunday.
19:35So why?
19:35Four of seven.
19:36So that's the game that mattered.
19:38The other 23 didn't matter.
19:40That's the one that defines how Jimmy's supposed to play.
19:43I'll say this because he's told me.
19:4521 and three.
19:47He said when the playoffs start, he'll take it up a notch in regard to being offensively aggressive.
19:52Well, he might not manifest itself in shot attempts.
19:57He didn't tell you I'm going to score more.
20:00All right.
20:01I'm not mad at him.
20:02I'm just like this team is not good enough offensively without him to be a little ultra
20:07aggressive at times.
20:07I want to know why does aggression mean scoring?
20:10Because he's gifted at it.
20:11Right.
20:11And that's why they're giving him 51 large.
20:13He's also gifted at creating an open look for his teammates.
20:16Three assists against Houston.
20:19So there you go.
20:20Because they weren't knocking him down.
20:21But the point for me, and I'm going to defend Google and say that when Jeff Curry is not
20:26able to get free, that's a game where you, as Jimmy Butler, need to be more aggressive
20:31to try to score the basketball.
20:32I'm not saying 25 field goal attempts.
20:35No.
20:35I'm saying be aggressive and try to score.
20:37That was Andrew Wiggins like.
20:38Exactly.
20:39Because he does so much more.
20:41Not at all.
20:41Not at all.
20:42He was not passive.
20:43He just didn't shoot a lot.
20:45So what's the definition of that?
20:48Get the ball in your hand.
20:50Break down the defense.
20:51And find an open look for your team.
20:53There's five of you out there.
20:55You all play in the NBA.
20:56Well, there's four because Steph Curry was not open.
20:58Fine.
20:58And he couldn't score.
20:59I mean.
20:59So go ahead and get to the foul line.
21:01He's what he does better than anyone else.
21:03And would you give me this?
21:04He's better than some of the guys.
21:05And no shade at any of the guys.
21:07Of course.
21:07So I would like the shots coming from a guy that I know has deemed.
21:11But on this particular night, on this particular night that we're talking about Jimmy Butler,
21:17Pods was seven for 14.
21:19Made threes.
21:20Payton was seven for 14.
21:22Made some threes.
21:24And Buddy Heald was making threes.
21:26He had 20.
21:27So that's part of the equation.
21:32Like the problem with that game against Houston was Steph, Draymond, and Butler didn't play great.
21:39But the other guys played great.
21:42And that's...
21:43He was four of seven.
21:44Right.
21:44He didn't play great.
21:45Offensively, it was you didn't shoot enough.
21:47But you guys all love...
21:48But who was he going to take shots from?
21:51Buddy?
21:51He was making shots.
21:53Pods?
21:53He was making shots.
21:54And Payton?
21:55He was making shots.
21:56Like that's...
21:58I think this is the way he looks at the game.
22:01And maybe we got to brace for it happening in the postseason.
22:06I agree.
22:06And you guys have propped up the long athletic defense of the Rockets, which is around the rim.
22:13So you want Jimmy forcing up shots against Shingun?
22:17I don't want it to sound like that.
22:19I just...
22:19Well, that's...
22:20But it is what it sounds like.
22:21Well, give me this.
22:22He's aware that fans or whatever, fanatics, want more from him in regard to field goal attempts.
22:28I bet it really kept him up at night, too.
22:30No, and I'm not saying that.
22:3151 million.
22:33I mean, he's going to sleep great.
22:36What's the money thing over there?
22:37What's the money thing?
22:38That means if I'm making 51 million, then I'm not going to stay up late at night worrying
22:44about what sports talk radio hosts are saying about my career.
22:48If I'm making 600 grand a game, I'm going to play the way I'm going to play.
22:51I'm going to say what I say, and I'm going to sleep pretty well.
22:54Moses Moody at 13 million a year doesn't care either.
22:57Like what?
22:58Sure.
22:58What's the money thing?
22:59And why are we attaching it to scoring?
23:00I just told you what the money thing is.
23:02No, you didn't in terms of attaching it to scoring.
23:05I'm attaching it to the result and attaching it to what people think about his game.
23:10And Stiney's right about what Jimmy says.
23:12Like, Jimmy's going to make the right play, and I'm going to do what I do because this
23:16is how I play basketball.
23:17He's not worried about that.
23:19And whether or not he's worried about winning or not, I don't know.
23:23But I do know this.
23:24Of course you do.
23:24When you have a game where your number one guy cannot score.
23:28He cannot get a shot off.
23:29He can't do anything.
23:30The only basket he made was a 38-footer, a buzzer-beater prayer, not a prayer for Steph
23:36because that's what he does, but if I'm the number two on a team, I'm going to be more
23:40aggressive, and he wasn't.
23:42I agree with exactly what he said.
23:44Somebody scoring was not why they lost that game.
23:47That's not why they lost.
23:48So you guys can want the box score to be whatever you all want it to be, but that's not why they
23:55lost that game.
23:56Right.
23:56They lost it because other people turned the ball over.
23:59So here's an idea.
24:00Get the ball, and you run the point.
24:03Yeah, that's just...
24:03Because Draymond and Pods and even the chef himself, they had 12 of the other 19 turnovers,
24:10so go be the point.
24:11Yeah, he was.
24:12And being the point does not mean always finishing with the shot.
24:16Well, it means you have more than three assists.
24:18Well, that means somebody else has to hit the shot.
24:20I watched the game twice, and I was in the lab, and what I saw from Jimmy was largely a guy
24:25who was not impactful in the basketball game.
24:27And when I walked to my car, just so it's noted, you're okay with Pods, GP, Moody, Kaminga
24:33shooting more or just the same amount as Jimmy Butler because you two just said...
24:38If they're shooting like they shot Friday, yes.
24:39But that was all...
24:40Well, see, Friday, I'm talking Sunday, because Friday and Sunday, they shot it great early.
24:44They didn't shoot it great like the others.
24:46I'm talking Sunday.
24:47Pods, Pods, Payton, the whole game.
24:50They were 7 for 14, 7 for 14, and Buddy was like 7 for 11.
24:55Like, those other guys were making shots, and I just think that Butler, if he thinks
24:59they're making shots, he's just going to keep going to them.
25:03All right, that's going to do it, gents, on 95-7, the game.
25:07But keep it locked.
25:09You got Phoenix coming up last week of the season.
25:13Wow.
25:14Great stuff.
25:15You know they only shot seven times against the Lakers, too, right?
25:17Uh-oh.
25:18Yeah.
25:18You're okay with that game.
25:19They won.
25:20Ah, I see.
25:21I see.
25:21Yeah, yeah.
25:23I see.
25:23So, we have to wait until the finals.
25:25No, Willard.
25:25You know what I'm putting down.
25:27Got it.
25:27Okay, that's not hindsight.
25:28And I'm not one of those guys that he tries to paint me out to be, oh, you just care about
25:32offense.
25:32No, ha-ha.
25:33Read the rules.
25:34It's ha-ha.
25:34No, it's not.
25:34It is.
25:35Give me more than Sid John.
25:36On 95-7.
25:37No.
25:38You know what?
25:38I hope he takes four shots tonight on 95-7.
25:41I bet you do.
25:41Dang it.
