00:00the first ahead segment is going to be very big picture we want to look ahead to the week that we
00:05have for the first major of the season there's been a lot of kind of sort of variables up in
00:10the air we've had guys that we thought were favorites at the beginning of the year missing
00:14cuts not not in great form we've had some injured guys we've had a weather forecast that's changed
00:19from perfect to maybe a little bit cooler and chillier than we thought was going to be and
00:22we're also keeping tabs on that live golf leaderboard miami and seeing some familiar faces
00:27at the top of that that could be in contention this week so give me a little look ahead here
00:31smiley at the week to come well you know i get so excited before every first major you know being
00:40the masters every year and you have so many players that are in your brain of this is going to be the
00:47guy this week and then that that list just continues to get bigger and bigger and bigger and especially
00:53with live miami happening this week and seeing some players who would be potential contenders from
01:01from that bunch playing well at the masters it it just it kind of uh it thickened the plot a little
01:08bit when it came to my big board of who i like at the masters next week they all aren't going to play
01:14well and they're all not going to win they're all not going to contend so i'm gonna have to find a way
01:18to shrink the board a little bit to figure out exactly who's going to play well but the one thing
01:23that i am so so so excited about is that the weather is going to be so good monday uh so tomorrow in
01:31augustus is going to be a bit of a uh a wash but the rest of the week it's going to be so good it's
01:36not going to be too hot uh maybe a little cool in the mornings but getting up to like 68 70 degrees
01:42every day it is the ideal spring augusta masters weather i think i was i was a little worried
01:50about it but the more i started to think about it especially if you're wearing pants all week long
01:55as we will be you start walking around that place with the elevation change it gets steamy real quick
02:0068 starts feeling like 73 74 so i'm coming around on that it's gonna be perfect cool weather won't be
02:07too hot won't be sweaty out there um and just about as good as it gets for a master so and you
02:14know what the names on that live leaderboard let me just hit a few of them that are in the top 10
02:17heading into the final round bryson dechambeau sergio garcia patrick reed phil mickelson john rom
02:23dustin johnson all guys who uh you know they can get it around augusta national pretty good there
02:28do you like any of those guys given current form i mean i know we're going to do a full preview
02:34show once we get on site and we kind of walk the course but just right off the top any of those
02:38guys feel like this is the front runner from live for me well i think you always got to start with
02:43you know their top players which is the the no-brainers the bryson dechambeau the uh the
02:49joaquin neiman you know john rom of course uh brooks kapka those are the the the players who
02:56we're definitely not going to overlook the player that continues to seem like he's been playing very
03:01well over the last year uh really even two players is sergio garcia and patrick reed those
03:07are two guys that i've just kind of kept on my radar of oh boy that really throws a wrench into
03:13what i think when people are watching on the couch if p reed and sergio get into contention
03:18they are the classic like antagonists of of what could be what scotty shepherd could go up against and
03:25um i've just been very impressed by how well sergio has played at his age i think he's a guy that's
03:31still motivated still wants to make that writer cup team same with patrick reed um who's done some
03:36really nice stuff over the last six months from watching him uh and his scores but i i think you
03:42got to look at the top of the leaderboard we'll see what ends up happening at the end of the day with
03:45with uh bryson dechambeau based on what i read on twitter is that he's having a very good putting week
03:50but it is a par 68 at augustan national for bryson actually 67 is that what it is 67
03:57we're judging him against that standard yeah well hey i know he had a pretty good year last year
04:03at the masters it's a good golf course for him right he can he's got the length that's uh that
04:09should be a huge advantage for him so i don't know i'm i'm i'm very intrigued by how this this
04:16sunday goes as you know i think the golf courses that they typically play are not necessarily
04:22quality major tests we know durrell is a really hard golf course we know it from
04:28them playing on the pga tour for years
