00:00I'm sure that Lukas Koenig will be inspired by the antics of his teammate Simon Lengenfelder in MX2, a gate to flag victory, and let's see if Koenig can follow suit, there's the bullet, Jeffrey Hurlings, number 84 on the inside line, hoping for a better start this time, he was 14th in moto number 1, and I'm sure he'll be hoping to go better in moto number 2, there he is, right alongside the 132 of Andrea Varnicosi on the Pantik factory.
00:30Machine who took 4 in moto number 1, 15th second board is now up, as Hurlings and the others make final preparations for moto number 2, there's Ramon Fabraged a few lines along there, and next to him I think was the 96th of Lukas Koenig as the 5th second board goes up, gate drops, and here we go into the first corner, and it looks like a great start there for Seewa, loses ground on the outside, but Koenig again, Lukas Koenig's second
00:59goal shot of the day, and that's exactly where he wants it to go, just like Lengenfelder in MX2, it's a Red Bull KTM that grabs the foxhole shot, Geiser second, and Hurlings in third, much better start for the bullet this time round,
01:15and to the delight of the home crowd, Seewa's in there, he was in 4th, but I think Ramon may have gone down the inside into 4th place,
01:22Anton Gier was well, the Swiss riders having a brilliant start here, Gier going down the inside of Seewa there,
01:30Bonacorsi getting away well, and the number 300 of Noah Ludwig, the German rider, also getting away strongly in the top 10 at the end of the first few corners,
01:42but look at the bullet here, Geoffrey Hurlings getting away very strongly indeed, and can he mix it at the front here?
01:49Well, there's still a long way to go, but this could potentially be very important for the Red Bull Factory KTM team here,
01:57if Hurlings can get past Geiser, just take some points off him here, would certainly help Lukas Koenig in terms of the title race,
02:05Koenig at this stage would say he's an outsider for the title because Geiser looking so strong in these early stages, but there's still a long way to go,
02:12and let's see what Hurlings can do, can he live with the front runners?
02:17We're not really accustomed to saying that about Hurlings, of course, but he is on the injury comeback, he had that ACL injury at the end of 2024,
02:25missed the opening rounds of the championship, and this has been very much a comeback stage for him here,
02:32just building experience, building pace, and getting a much better start this time as he battles towards the front,
02:39there's Renault going through, the former NX2 champion, staying ahead of Hurlings,
02:43so Koenig leading, but look at Geiser this time, he's looking a lot more attacking than he did in moto number one,
02:49and closing Koenig under some pressure in the early stages here.
02:56Breaking away in the early stages, Geiser having a peek down the inside, of course, the track, this is the final moto of the day here,
03:02so this is where the track is at its toughest, it'll get quite rough and quite gnarly with some of those braking bumps,
03:07and as we've seen several times in the opening motos, and a little bit earlier on in MX2,
03:13this Fraunfeld circuit is deceptively tricky, and ready to pounce on any kind of a mistake from the riders here,
03:20so Koenig is going to have to work out, but look at him flying through the rollers there,
03:25brilliant line out of the corner, and carrying a lot of speed through there, Geiser can only watch,
03:29and maybe he'll be looking at Koenig's lines next time round,
03:33because Lucas Koenig trying to break away from Geiser in these opening stages,
03:37making their way around the first few corners,
03:43still third, Hurlings fourth, Bonacausi, Guillaume Febvre, only seventh,
03:46another poor start for the Frenchman on the factory, Kawasaki,
03:49needs to be a lot closer to Geiser in terms of the title race here,
03:52Sierra in eighth place, Hortmo ninth, and Ben Watson,
03:55a much better start for the British rider here, in the top ten on the factory beater,
03:59he got caught up in the first corner, melee in moto number one,
04:03but the 9-1-9, Ben Watson getting away very well here,
04:07on the edge of the top ten, Koldenhoff 11, Ludwig in 12th,
04:10my play from van der Moistak in 14th position, Jan Pankar,
04:14a little bit further down as we come to the end of the first lap,
04:20Lucas Koenig looking very good at the front of the field,
04:23start of the second moto,
04:26can he copy his teammate and take a double moto victory for Red Bull KTM?
04:33Make their way through,
04:36Geiser starts to put the pressure on the race leader,
04:40Jeffy Hurlings in turn comes under a bit of pressure here from Andrea Bonacausi,
04:43here's Geiser to the outside of Koenig,
04:46Koenig guards the inside,
04:48Geiser taking the wider outside line,
04:50losing a bit of ground on the track,
04:52but going for the momentum into the next corner,
04:54down the inside he goes,
04:56and just starting to exert some pressure on the race leader here,
05:00Koenig knows he's there,
05:02and again this is where Koenig's quick,
05:03really squat through the rollers there,
05:06it's almost like that,
05:09Eric Kabors,
05:11all action squat style on the machine through the rollers,
05:13and he is very fast there,
05:14that's the only part of the track where Tim Geiser struggling to live with him I would say,
05:19and Koenig just giving himself a little bit of breathing space towards the end of the lap,
05:23so this is where the tactics start here for,
05:26oh,
05:26oh,
05:26oh,
05:27Geiser went to the outside,
05:31caught a kicker,
05:32and spat over the bars big style,
05:35that was a nasty,
05:36nasty fall there for Geiser,
05:39no wonder he's winded,
05:41he's not rushing to get back on the bike,
05:44and the faces in the HRC cab say it all,
05:47Tim Geiser struggling to catch his breath here,
05:52that was a nasty crash there,
05:55he was searching for lines there,
05:57went to the outside line,
05:58caught a kicker in the grass on the outside,
06:01spat him over the bars big style there,
06:04and all of a sudden the MXGP title race getting a little bit spiced up here,
06:09so Koenig leads,
06:10Renault second,
06:11Hurlings third,
06:12Bonacorsi in fourth,
06:13Guillaume in fifth position,
06:15Febbra in sixth now,
06:16Siwa seventh,
06:17Porgmo,
06:17Watson,
06:18and Koldenov running out the top ten,
06:20but the drama here,
06:21is with Tim Geiser,
06:23taking a frightening tumble there,
06:26spat over the bars,
06:28and Geiser still receiving some medical attention,
06:32let's have a look at that again,
06:33so he went to the outside,
06:34searching for the smoother line,
06:35got cross-rutted on the grass,
06:37hit the kicker,
06:38on the edge of the track,
06:39which spat him over the bars,
06:41that's the risk with the grass on the outside line,
06:43just hitting those kickers,
06:45and the faces of concern in the HRC,
06:52pit box there,
06:54nervous moments for them,
06:56because Geiser stayed down as well,
06:58at the very least he'll be winded,
07:00let's hope he's not broke anything,
07:01because that really was a nasty tumble indeed,
07:03and I don't think he's continuing in the race here,
07:06so Kernan leads by two and a half seconds,
07:11this does mean Hurlings goes up to third,
07:14and Bonacorsi looking strong in fourth position,
07:19Febriar up to fifth place,
07:20not the circumstances Febriar would want here,
07:22but this will certainly give him a little bit of inroads,
07:25in terms of the MXGP title race,
07:27if things stay as they are,
07:29brilliant ride so far for Maxime Renault,
07:33the former MX2 world champion,
07:36as he looks to try and close the gap,
07:39on Kernan at the front,
07:41what a brilliant ride here from Jeffrey Hurlings,
07:43remember of course,
07:45the qualifying races took place on Saturday,
07:49and Hurlings freely admitted to suffering,
07:51from some arm pump in the qualifying race,
07:54so he decided yesterday,
07:56it's all Valetan Ghir out of contention as well,
07:58so this Fraunfeld circuit,
07:59starting to catch out some of the riders here,
08:01even the best of them,
08:03Tim Geiser going down,
08:04and Valetan Ghir had a strong start to the moto,
08:07looks like he's out of contention as well,
08:09as we were saying about Hurlings,
08:11he used yesterday's downtime,
08:13to put the KTM in one of the team's sprinter vans,
08:16and he went about an hour down the road,
08:18to Austria to a practice track,
08:20to get some more moto time in,
08:22to get some training in,
08:24let's have a look at Ghir,
08:25oh no,
08:27that's a nasty tumble there for Valetan Ghir,
08:30and Fevre doing very well to avoid him there,
08:32just seemed to hit a kicker on the takeoff ramp,
08:35over the bars,
08:36and another frightening crash there,
08:38so,
08:38drama in the first part of this MXGP,
08:43moto number two,
08:47Lucas Kernan still leading the way there,
08:48by 2.3 seconds,
08:50Ron Maxime-Renaud,
08:51Jeffrey Hurling still in third,
08:52Andrea Bonacorzi keeping the pressure in fourth place,
08:54and Fevre knows here in fifth place,
08:57he'll have seen that Geiser's gone down,
09:01and whilst he certainly wouldn't want to wish ill on arrival,
09:03here's that crash again,
09:04and oh,
09:05it just washed out from him,
09:07on the takeoff,
09:07that is a big impact there,
09:09for Valetan Ghir,
09:11and Roman Fevre doing very well to avoid him,
09:14but Fevre,
09:15these are not the circumstances he would have wanted here,
09:17but nonetheless,
09:18an opportunity to catch some ground,
09:20on Tim Geiser in the title race here,
09:22with him evidently out of contention in moto number two,
09:28this could allow him to close the gap in terms of the title race,
09:31so,
09:32Ben Watson up to eighth position on the beta,
09:35he's running well in moto number two as well,
09:37golden off nine,
09:39Noah Ludwig,
09:41the delight of the traveling German fans,
09:43he'll be in the top ten,
09:43from Van der Moisdijk Geerts in twelfth,
09:45on his birthday,
09:45Jan Pankar,
09:46Kammer Vlaanderen,
09:47and Arnaud Tonus again,
09:49in the points,
09:50in fifteenth position,
09:51he's running well,
09:52let's have a look at the virtual podium here,
09:54so,
09:54Koenen,
09:56quite understandably,
09:57will be on the top step,
09:58Renault in second at this stage,
10:00and Andrea Bonacorsi,
10:02the rider who is keeping Jeffrey Hurlings under some pressure,
10:04would get onto the podium,
10:06with third overall at this stage,
10:08look out for Febvre here,
10:11Febvre flying through the rollers,
10:13pursued by Jeremy Seawer,
10:14and Seawer not too far behind,
10:17in terms,
10:17fifth overall so far,
10:18in terms of the Grand Prix,
10:21and,
10:22it's not beyond the realms of possibility,
10:24that Jeremy Seawer could get onto the podium,
10:26which I'm sure would go down,
10:28very well indeed,
10:30with the vast army of Swiss supporters,
10:32seem to be down at the bottom of the circuit there,
10:34on that flat field,
10:36at the bottom of the drop down there,
10:38Jeremy Seawer fan club,
10:40setting off the flares before the race got underway,
10:42and they're urging their rider on,
10:44just to try and keep up with Romain Febvre here,
10:46who,
10:48switches his lines,
10:49looks to try and find a way past Bonacorsi,
10:52guard to the inside line,
10:54but Febvre,
10:55locked and loaded here,
10:56looking to try and find a way through,
10:58switching his lines,
10:59squaring the turn-offs,
11:00looking for the smooth exit to the corners here,
11:02to try and get past the Fantic of Bonacorsi,
11:04he's had a brilliant weekend so far,
11:08be a great result for Fantic,
11:09if they can get on the podium,
11:10but I'm sure that Febvre will have other ideas about that,
11:12and if you look at the timing screens on the bottom left-hand side of your screen,
11:19that confirms the news,
11:21Tim Geiser is out of the race,
11:24no word as of yet,
11:25as to the extent of any injuries for him,
11:28it's heard that's not the case,
11:30because that really was a nasty looking tumble,
11:33but what a brilliant right here for Jeffrey Hurlings,
11:36it would seem that the arm pump that he suffered with on Saturday,
11:39is not really affecting him at this stage,
11:41he's running strongly in third place,
11:43although he's got some,
11:44pretty tough competition behind him here,
11:46Bonacorsi keeping the pressure on,
11:48and Febvre desperately trying to claw his way through to grab those points,
11:53and again Febvre very squat,
11:55very smooth through the rollers there,
11:59as Bonacorsi keeps the pressure on Hurlings,
12:02Hurlings having a much better start in moto number two,
12:08just goes to show really what a good comeback that Hurlings has had in the last couple of rounds of the championship,
12:14it's a surprise to see him up to third place here,
12:16so he's doing very well here,
12:22Hurlings of course his track record speaks for itself really,
12:28three times world MX2 champion,
12:31added to that of course with victories in MXGP in 2018 and 2021,
12:38most wins in Grand Prix history,
12:41and the record books speak for themselves,
12:44but Hurlings stay ahead of Bonacorsi and Febvre,
12:50Hurlings of course saying that next year,
12:532026 will be his final season in professional motocross,
12:58depending on how the contract negotiations go,
13:02it could even be this year as well,
13:03so he'll make the most of Hurlings whilst he's still here,
13:07you've got to admire Hurlings' equipment here,
13:09even going off practicing yesterday,
13:11this is a rider who's paid very well and he's made a lot of money in his career so,
13:15certainly doesn't need to be out there battling away but the racer's instinct he wants to be back at the front once again,
13:21certainly pushing very hard to do so throughout the second half of the 2025 season tries to hold on to that third place,
13:31Romain Febvre you can see how fast this Reinfeld circuit is,
13:37how difficult it is to get past riders here, Febvre catching up quickly,
13:40Louis Fosters,
13:42I don't want to speak too soon but it is looking like Andrea Bonacorsi is knocking on the door for his second podium this year,
13:48yes Andrea is doing really well at the moment,
13:52he feels really good on this track,
13:54during the week we made some adjustments personal for him on the bike and all weekend long he's feeling already really good,
14:01we know Brian Bogus has been off sick for a while,
14:04he's back,
14:05he is struggling though isn't he,
14:07yeah Brian is struggling a lot,
14:08the first moto yeah he had a technical issue which was not caused by the bike or whatever he touched something but on the other hand yeah he's tried to yeah to to be better and better the coming week so we will support him as well as we can.
14:24Best luck to the team, thank you.
14:29Some of the tension in the fan sick pit right now because they know they could be on the podium here,
14:34Italian manufacturer always synonymous with the world of trials riding you would say and a bit more of the enduro was on a cause he got cross-rutted there but had the momentum to keep upright.
14:47In recent years of course making inroads into the world of motocross that bike fairly much based on the Yamaha DNA but breathed over
14:54by the Italian manufacturer by the Italian manufacturer and Fantic certainly making inroads at the sharp end on that very competitive 450 machine they always uh there's Geiser.
15:06Still on the side of the track and he looks like he's in some discomfort, arm in a sling.
15:11Let's have a replay of what happened before he see, went on to the grass to try and find a smoother line but it bit him back hard, he caught a kicker bump on the side of the track.
15:18Really slam the ground hard, mistakes even for the best of them and uh well these are nervous moments but we see there that uh Tim Geiser evidently out of the race, he's got his arm in a sling.
15:38You do hope it's not a broken collarbone that's the almost the trademark injury for motocross riders
15:43when they slam into the ground like that but we never like to see a rider injured.
15:50This is drama here in Switzerland in moto number two and a moment that could potentially
15:56really throw the MXGP title race wide open here and Fevera will know that he's got an opportunity here to grab some points back on Geiser.
16:03Still Bonnet Corsi making hard work here at the front. Holding on to that fourth place he knows that the podium position
16:12is up for grabs here it's just allowing Hurlings to pull away a bit here as we move to the second half of the race.
16:1714 and a half minutes plus two laps to go.
16:19Let's just recap ourselves going into this moto. Tim Geiser on 305 points in the title race. Romain Fevera on 256.
16:32So he would certainly close the gap it's the first time that Tim Geiser has failed to score any points
16:37in a moto this year. He's been super consistent but just the smallest of mistakes and he's out of the race
16:43and some very concerning sights there. He's sitting on the side of the circuit with his arm in his sling
16:47so that would perhaps suggest that he has picked up some kind of an injury.
16:55Mason to say of course he is conscious and talking to the medics.
17:02But certainly dramatic moments there and Lucas Koenig of course fourth in the chapter on 202 points.
17:07The moment's having a brilliant moto so far. Let's have a look at the start once again getting to the
17:11jump of the field on the inside line from Siwa.
17:13Berlings as you can see getting away very well just behind Geiser.
17:20Another lightning start for Lucas Koenig to grab the Fox hole shot.
17:25Siwa I think he was determined to try and get the hole shot for the for the home fans as there's
17:30some more trouble on the first corner. Those right hand first corners do tend to be difficult for the riders.
17:34the rear brake of course on the right hand side of the motorcycle so they really have to judge
17:41their braking a lot more precisely for a right-handed corner. Lucas Koenig.
17:49Fox hole shot winner in moto number two and below is very much an outsider in terms of the MXGP
17:55title race as we've seen the results really can be turned on their head here so Koenig's really got to keep charging away.
18:02As we recap look at that grounding out on the rocks we're talking in MX2 how the the rocks are starting
18:07to appear on the racing line and the looks like the subframe of the K-10 grounding out there sending
18:12the sparks flying almost like a 1980s Formula One turbo car there. A little bit there for Koenig.
18:19Leads the race comfortably though by 7.2 seconds as he starts to pick his way through some of the tail
18:24enders he's getting towards one of the Swiss privateers there Nicolas Bender on the Buscovane
18:30currently sitting in 30th place.
18:34The home star looks to one side lets the leader go through so
18:39picking his way through here. Renaud still in second hurlings third.
18:44Lucas Koenig looking towards what would be a very good day for the Red Bull factory KTM team.
18:48Concerns of course with Tim Geiser crashing out spectacularly at the start of this motor whilst
18:56trying to find a way past Koenig in the opening stages and Geiser although he was like to say he was
19:03of course conscious and talking to the medics he was sat on the side of the track with his arm in a
19:07sling which is not a good sign at all especially for us motocross fans but also for the HRC Honda team
19:17he has of course got another week to prepare the next round of the championship in two weeks time
19:21as a great as oh there we go Febura down the inside and Bonacorsi toppling over just caught the back
19:27wheel of the Kawasaki and this is not what the Fantic team would have wanted he's kept the engine running
19:32though but Febura up to fourth place I think Siwa may have just squeezed through we'll have a look at the lap
19:38charts very shortly but the unfortunate Bonacorsi going down and it has allowed Siwa through into fifth place
19:45but now Febura catching up on Jeffrey Herlings you've got some old school MXGP action here for third place
19:55the young guns first and second position Koenig leading the way Renault in second
20:01Herlings and Febura going head-to-head for third position here and potentially could get
20:05Febura onto the podium but look at Siwa in fifth place Jeremy Siwa on the Ducati is certainly not out
20:11of contention in terms of the podium here needs to gain some points and perhaps would rely on others
20:18dropping positions as the moto goes on but this is certainly Siwa's most consistent turn of results
20:26this year on the all-new Ducati machine remember that bike still you might say under some sort of
20:33development to the more established the likes of the KTMs the Yamahas the Hondas all well-established
20:38450cc machines the all-new Ducati in its first full year of competition you would say it's had
20:45debut in the MXGP last year with the likes of Cairoli
20:53Siwa looking very good here right in the series so far currently sitting on fifth overall
20:59Erlings being urged on here this will be his best result of the season so far
21:02less than 10 minutes to go plus the two laps remaining but Cromwell Febura keeping him under
21:09some pressure here in this dramatic second moto that's how they stand at the moment so Febura of
21:16course moving on to the podium at this stage and would cement that if he can get past Herlings but
21:20I'm sure that Jeffrey Herlings will have other ideas about that as he goes flying towards the liquid
21:24to Marley jump going past the number 505 there Harvid learning the Swedish rider who moves to one
21:31side lets Herlings go through as does Febura so they start to pick their way through the field here
21:38Ben Watson still running strongly in that eighth position on the factory beater in terms of the
21:43British riders Adam Sterry in 17th Josh Gilbert in 18th position good ride so far for the Brits and
21:50John Adamson Scott's been a little bit further behind currently in 26th position
21:59Ben Watson running very well on that beta machine it's been a good weekend for the Brits so far
22:03of course not represented in MX2 this season but Billy Askew taking fifth overall in the
22:10EMX 250 category earlier this weekend of course risk the Swedish rider taking his maiden
22:17EMX 250 victory earlier on today
22:22certainly flying the flag for the stage Ben Watson in eighth position on the factory beater
22:27as Roman Febura starts to put the pressure on Jeffrey Herlings through the right-hander closing up
22:33on Mitchell Evans there the Australian moving to one side letting the leaders go through
22:37Herlings determined to hold on to that third place
22:39and Febura getting the word breathe keep your cool here
22:46points are very much on offer here for the Frenchman as he tries to get past Herlings
22:52Roman Febura the 2015 MXGP world champion on the factory Yamaha in those days
23:00and certainly since his move to Kawasaki seems to have got on very well with the green machine
23:05and still very much a factor in the MXGP title race but the drama here of course Geiser crashing
23:13out big style in moto number two here and just at the moment where Geiser was starting to put a bit
23:20of leeway between him and the chasing riders it's all been turned on its head in moto number two as
23:25Febura goes for the position gets a nice line on the inside goes for the tear off over the table top and
23:31should have the line into the corner here so Roman Febura moves into third place now
23:36let's have a look at the clock 7.13 can he catch up on his countryman Maxime Renault possibly
23:42the momentum very much with Febura at the moment and at the moment looking at the lap time splits
23:48Roman Febura is the fastest rider on the track he's catching up on both Renault and Koen in these closing stages
23:54could time be against him here six and a half minutes coming up plus the two laps remaining
24:02you see we're looking good in that fifth place to the delight of his fan club on the inside of the
24:06corner there they're urging him on as he catches up on that looks like John Adamson there number two
24:12one two currently in 25th position
24:17I remember Adamson a few years ago in the British motocross championships on a privately
24:21entered KTM two-stroke machine certainly made a name for himself and has gone on to greater things
24:26since then on the Lexer MX team there he is
24:34it's to one side and let's see we go through
24:38Jeremy Seawer looking very strong in fifth position 15 laps down and Lucas Koen still continuing to lead
24:45the way but the home fans very much getting behind their man here Jeremy Seawer
24:48fifth position on the Ducati I think he will narrowly miss out on a podium and there's Ben Watson
24:55fighting there with Glenn Koldenoff
24:59the lint right here for Watson the former British motocross champion
25:04settling in quite nicely on the beat oh as Koldenoff makes a mistake and Watson trying to catch up here on
25:09Kevin Hawk for seventh place
25:15Watson the son of Rob Meek the former western beach race winner for many a year
25:21brother Nathan Watson riding for the factory KTM team for many years in the world enduro championships
25:27enduro GP
25:30so two very different disciplines of off-road motorcycling
25:35I remember Nathan Watson actually making a wild card appearance at the
25:38Hawkstone international I think it was a few years ago on his enduro machine complete with the lights and still
25:45mixing it at the sharp end with the top motocross riders so certainly the Watson's very quick in terms of motocross competition
25:52and Ben Watson
25:54trying to fend off Glenn Koldenoff here has had a difficult weekend so far
25:58and Watson will not want to give that position up lightly in eighth position
26:02as he continues to get back to full fitness on the beater holds the inside line
26:06the Hoff tries the outside but Watson's got the line out of the corner
26:09and Watson over the monster energy table top jump there in towards the right-hander and the cd jump
26:15Koldenoff tries the inside line but Watson's got the racing line through the chicane here going past the pit area
26:21and Watson remaining in eighth position
26:28right-hander they go
26:31Switzerland of course has a
26:35long-standing history with British riders we were talking earlier about Kurt Nickell
26:40narrowly losing out the 1992
26:43world championship to George Jobay at Roggenberg all those years ago but notably
26:50winning the motocross the nations with Team Great Britain in 1994 breaking the U.S.
26:56stranglehold on the uh on the competition that year with Paul Malin and Robbie Herring
27:05and of course in 1985 at the famous lawn circuit in Switzerland was where Dave Thorpe won the first
27:12of his three world titles on a very wet day in Switzerland in late 1985
27:19Ben Watson carving his own little piece
27:22of history here in eighth position running well on the beater
27:27great to see a British rider starting to mix up the sharp end of MXGP once again
27:34and he goes through the left-hander
27:36Watson he's about two seconds behind Horgmo at the moment with just over three minutes to go
27:42there's Horgmo
27:45starting to catch up with John Adamson and there's Bonacorsi recovering from that spill when he
27:49tagged the back wheel but so we were talking about Fevereaux I was wondering if he could close up
27:53on Renault he had a lot of pace a couple of laps ago and there is the answer with just under three minutes
27:59plus the two laps to go
28:01Fevereaux being urged on by his cruise he makes his way through and Fevereaux still the fastest rider on
28:07the track and he's getting quicker as well 139.778 last oh as Renault makes a mistake
28:13well I was saying that uh Fevereaux said 139.778 last time around it doesn't matter anymore because
28:20Renault look at this getting it wrong on the braking bumps the bike swap sends on him he did well to
28:25save that one actually it was a nasty tank slapper coming into the left-hander
28:30oh and he's gone down big style and the Fraunfeld circuit continuing to catch the riders out here
28:37and that was a big tumble the waved yellow is going out for Maxime Renault
28:43and he's battered the bike's battered as well well he did well to save that uh
28:49mistake going into the left-hander but uh very quickly making a mistake
28:54and down he goes so this could put Bonacorsi back on the podium or maybe even
28:59Siwa who's back into uh fourth position now so this is going to be tight in terms of the podium
29:07and listen to the Swiss fans as Siwa goes through he's in fourth place now
29:12he's uh not too far behind Hurlings so Siwa could take third if he can put the pressure on Hurlings
29:18in the closing stages for a dramatic second moto this has been the demanding Fraunfeld circuit
29:25deceptively tricky in these closing stages it's claimed some of the top riders in moto number two
29:30so he can add another world champion to the list who's made a mistake here Maxime Renault going down
29:36big style and i think is another one that's out of the race i haven't seen how he's getting attention
29:41from the medics that really was a nasty tumble on the jump the medics medical flags are out the
29:46wave yellows the marshals doing a great job there
29:50as they get the track clear well at least Renault is walking away from that one that was a hefty tumble
29:56over the jump
30:00Romain Fevre through to second place after a disappointing start to the day
30:05really turned on its head for him here second in the second moto here making inroads the Geiser in terms
30:11on the MXGP title race not the circumstances he would have wanted of course with Geiser crashing out
30:17but nonetheless he's got to take this opportunity grab those points now he's 8.8 seconds down on
30:21current so realistically even though he's the fastest rider on the track right now
30:25I think at the moment the motor victory is out of reach for him but he's not going to give it up
30:34let's have a look at the moments here for Maxime Renault where his race went totally wrong that small
30:41mistake on the left-hander recovered that that one quickly but then got it wrong over the table
30:46top I think that was the same jump that claimed uh Balatanguio early in the race
30:51a hefty tank slapper on the landing spat over the bars and the unfortunate Maxime Renault hitting the
30:57ground hard so this is the battle for the podium here Bonacorsi's back on the podium for Fante but
31:03the uh home crowd will be urging on Jeremy Siwa here
31:09Siwa's got to try and get that third place off Jeffrey Hurlings and hope that Bonacorsi drops some
31:15points in the last few laps none of this bothering Lucas Kernan all the drama behind him here but for
31:22the 18 year old Belgian on a day where some of the experience heads in MXGP and MXD have all made
31:30mistakes Kernan so far has been faultless just got to keep it cool in the closing stages
31:36I'll go get up to 11th position on his birthday getting behind Jan Pankar who unfortunately for
31:44Slovenia is uh so uh no disrespect to Jan Pankar but if he's the top Slovenian that means that guys
31:52has hit some trouble nonetheless flying the flag for Slovenia the number 253 currently in 10th position he's
31:57put some good results in on his privately entered team JP253 KTM and he's currently in 10th position
32:04behind Blandrin Watson losing out to Koldenov in that battle for seven ways now seventh position of
32:10course and it's all shaking things up further down the field of course with Adam starting up to 17th
32:15position Josh Gilbert still in 18th place Kato Nichol the German rider in 19 and Arnold Tonus on number four
32:23getting some points at this stage with two laps to go in the second moto here
32:30Jeremy Siwa puts the pressure on Jeffrey Hurlings at the closing stages Hurlings in third but look at
32:34the Swiss fans urging their rider on they know as I'm sure Siwa knows he's got to get past Hurlings here
32:42to stand any chance of getting on the podium he'll close up on Bonacorsi in terms of the virtual podium
32:50I think he would be relying on Bonacorsi dropping up the points on the final two laps here
32:55but all in for podium look at that the Ducati team know both they and Fantic have a podium very much
33:02for the the reckoning here as you're going to the last lap of the race Lucas Kernan at the moment
33:06looking to try and snatch the overall Femre continuing to close the gap on Koenern
33:14and certainly Lucas Kernan can't afford any mistakes on this final lap he's controlled
33:18both motos so far but as we've seen so many times in moto number two
33:23this roundabout circuit bites as Siwa ran the outside of Hurlings
33:30and makes the no stick listen to the crowd
33:35Siwa really has been the flag bearer for Switzerland in recent years they've only had the
33:39the one world title in the past with Julian Bill taking the MX3 world title back in 2011 but Siwa at the
33:48sharp end of MXGP Lucas Kernan leading the way there's Tonus who moves to one side to let his countrymen go
33:54through great to see Arnold Tonus still representing that number four mentored by Georges Jobet in the early
34:03part of his career and still retaining the number four when he makes his wildcard appearances but
34:07Siwa charging away could this be enough to get the Ducati on the podium it's going to be tight
34:13here he comes back down the hill the swiss fans urging him on he'll take third in moto number two will
34:18he get him on the podium but Lucas Kernan has been looking absolutely superb and Siwa charges on Lucas
34:26Kernan last lap of the race here for the young Belgian and the teenager with a double moto victory
34:35today makes his way around the final few corners up on the pegs keeping it nice and smooth on this
34:40demanding frankfeld circuit here he comes up towards the monster energy finish line table top jump
34:47and Lucas Kernan takes a double moto victory it's a Red Bull KTM clean sweep in both MX2 and MXGP
34:57Febvre second and over the line in third goes Siwa might have done enough to get him on the podium
35:07well he looks happy enough with that one third and somebody will get a souvenir as he throws his
35:12goggles to the crowd Jeremy Siwa with a fantastic result for the factory Ducati and the first man to
35:20congratulate him there is the number four of Arnold Tonus who also salutes the crowd as well Siwa third
35:25Hurlings in fourth position Bonacorzy in fifth position Koldanov six and Ben Watson getting past
35:33Kevin Haugmo with inside of the line there over the line in seventh place brilliant ride for Ben Watson
35:39Kevin Haugmo in eighth position Calvin Wlander in ninth and Jan Pankar rounding up the top ten
35:44Thiago Geertz just a little bit further behind in 11th position it looks like it's going to be
35:49Roan van der Moesdijk in 12th position the Dutchman Ruben Fernandes not the result he would have
35:56wanted in moto number two struggled with the starts down in the midfield for pretty much all of the race
36:02he'll finish in 13th on what has been a very disappointing race for the HRC factory Honda team
36:08a little bit further down in 14th and it looks like Alessandro Lupino great to see the Italian back in action and the
36:15Ducati who's now the Ducati development rider nowadays Lupino will take 15th position Kevin
36:22Brumann in a great day for the Swiss he'll take 16th place Adam Sterry and Josh Gilbert also looks like
36:29they're going to get into the points as well but what a brilliant day it has been for Lucas Koenern two
36:35wins out of two today and certainly with the drama in moto number two could well be a factor in the title race
36:42congratulations you just went one one to get your first overall victory in the premier class that
36:48was a big win for you yeah of course Saturday I didn't expect this uh it was a lot of arm pump and
36:54really difficult for me and now I got that I nailed the sauce on the inside and I just took two whole
36:59shots and and let every lap just control the race and I hope team is okay because I was a bit worried
37:05you know we are so close with him and I saw him on the ground all motor so I hope he's okay and yeah but
37:11I can't uh can't be any speeches uh so good feel so good to win and 1-1 you can switch around so
37:16gonna enjoy the two weeks off and uh yeah let's see uh next race enjoy the moment of your team thank you
37:25well triumph and tragedy in equal measures in this MXGP motor number two Lucas Koenern
37:32taking a brilliant motor victory his first double in MXGP but expressing concern there for
37:39Tim Geiser who took a heavy tumble at the start of the moto
37:46and we saw him receiving some medical treatment with his arm in a sling so uh really has been a
37:51dramatic second moto but congratulations happy about though to Lucas Koenig with that brilliant
37:55ride there is Tim Geiser into the uh into the mule at the side of the track there and another one of the
38:03walking wounded is Maxime Renault look at that factory Yamaha the back end of the machine absolutely
38:07battered it took a real heavy tumble in the closing stages of moto number two as well it really has
38:13been a dramatic second moto here in MXGP but let's have a look at how they finished up Lucas Koenig it
38:18was that took the second moto victory for the second Seaward third fighting through past hurlings in the
38:24closing stages Bonacorsi dropping to fifth place well Glenn Koldenov in sixth so two Phantics in the top
38:30six Ben Watson seventh on the beater great ride for the British rider there and Kevin Haugmo in eighth position
38:36ninth for Vlandrin 10th for Jan Pankar Iago Gitz on his birthday in 11th from Ruben Fernandes van de Moistag
38:43Noah Ludwig Alessandro Lupino making a rare comeback and he gets into 15th position from Kevin
38:49Brooman who is the leading Husqvarna rider in MXGP at this stage Adam Sterry and Josh Gilbert both
38:55getting into the points and Nicol and Arnold Tonus rounding out the top 20 in moto number two so
39:03more points for Arnold Tonus on his wildcard ride and there is everything you need to know Jeremy
39:09Siwa that late pass getting him onto the podium just ahead of Bonacorsi so Lucas Koenig with the overall
39:15victory of course Bevere the second moto really turned on its head for him he gets up to 37 points
39:21and second overall today Bonacorsi unlucky to miss out on the podium Tim Geiser second in the first moto
39:29but that dramatic crash in moto number two puts him down in ninth overall and concerns we saw him
39:36there receiving medical treatment going off in the medical mule machine there to go back to the medical
39:41area for further attention let's hope he's not too seriously injured which really closes things up
39:47in the title race Geiser remains on 305 February closes the gap to 278 points but Lucas Koenig
39:53after that brilliant double moto victory today goes up to third in the title race on 227 points
39:58gets past Glenn Koldanov and judging by his riding today you could potentially say
40:04maybe there's a title fight in there possibly Ben Watson up to 11th place Jan Pankar another great
40:09ride for the Slovenian he moves up to 12th in the title race past the injured
40:14Paul Jonas there and Jeffrey Hurlings up to 18th position now past the absent Brian Burgers
40:21great ride there from Jeffrey Hurlings in moto number two
40:24and perhaps the arm thumb not so much of a problem for the bullet in moto number two
40:30in terms of the manufacturers title race Honda stay on top from Kawasaki KTM though with the double
40:34moto victory today jump up to third in the title race past Yamaha and Fantec Ducati on the podium
40:40today sixth with Vita a little bit further behind and Husqvarna
40:49but a fantastic racing today for the 96 of Lucas Koenig grabbing the hole shot yet again in moto number
40:56two and takes his second box hole shot award of the season
41:03double double today for him there and much like an MX2 a gate to flag victory for the Red Bull KTM team
41:09so Koenig with his second hole shot of the season one behind Jeremy Seawer who was a bit unlucky to
41:14miss out on the hole shot on the Ducati in moto number two Koenig did it
41:19we have to say what a ride from Jeremy Seawer in the closing stages to fight his way onto the podium
41:25the fans are already there onto the start straight the Swiss fans as soon as the gates were open
41:30breaking onto the circuit as soon as it was safe to do so and they are right there to greet their rider
41:36onto the podium
41:37what will be the first time in 25 Jeremy Seawer
41:42brilliant riding for him to get onto the podium in front of his very much his home crowd he is only 25
41:47minutes down the road and it's been a brilliant weekend for him Roman Fever of course keeping his
41:52title hopes alive in the second moto
41:57Lucas Koenig who knows we're only six rounds into the championship Geisse losing points in moto number two
42:03in quite some dramatic fashion he would say could that open up the MXGP title race as we move to
42:10Portugal in two weeks time we shall have to wait and see
42:15well he was third today on the podium but it's as good as a victory look at the smile on Jeremy Seawer's
42:21place Ducati are on the podium and where better to do it for Jeremy Seawer than in front of his local crowd
42:30his brother helped to uh get involved with the track prep here at Frauenfeld very much a track
42:37builder and it certainly worked to see was advantage with the late fight back in moto number two he had
42:41to work for it there to get past hurlings and get himself onto the podium and there's Roman Fever
42:47with a bloody lip there looks like he's sampled one of the one of the Frauenfeld rocks in the second
42:53moto but only superficial and he'll be pleased i'm sure with that second overall here today and certainly
42:59keeping his title hopes very much alive after that second moto but no doubting who the winner is
43:06today look at Lucas Koenern the young Belgian the happiest man in Switzerland today with maybe
43:13the possible exception of Jeremy Seawer he takes the first place on the podium
43:18the most successful nation in motocross history and once again we will be very shortly hearing the
43:28Belgian national anthem in honor of Lucas Koenern KTM the winning manufacturer today as well
43:37what a day it has been more dramatic second moto this you get the feeling this could be one of the
43:44notable races we look back on at the end of the 2025 season
43:50but look at the happiness on the podium here with the Swiss contingent
43:54very happy to see their own rider on the podium
43:56I don't know who's happy here Lucas Koenern or Jeremy Seawer they both had a brilliant day
44:04Seawer of course on a all-new machine Ducati very new to MXGP and to motocross indeed as a whole
44:13and how fantastic it is to see Ducati on the podium Roman Fever will take second
44:18the monster energy marketing manager presenting the monster energy factory rider with that second position
44:30incredible to think 18 years of age Lucas Koenern
44:36he will take the top step
44:38my life be like
44:42my life be like
44:43my life be like
