00:00:35We'll also cast an eye towards Serie A

00:00:37Would you believe it?

00:00:38There could be a couple of Scots getting themselves a title winning medal as well

00:00:43If Napoli hold on to the advantage in the run-in to the Italian Championship as well

00:00:49So many teams and players, individuals celebrating winning the title

00:00:53North and south of the border

00:00:55Because Celtic were the champions in Scotland

00:00:57Liverpool, the champions in England

00:00:59As for the Championship, we don't quite know where that's going yet

00:01:04But give us your thoughts on your favourite team and their performance over the course of the weekend

00:01:10First of all, congratulations to Celtic

00:01:13A 55th title with that 5-0 emphatic win over Dundee United

00:01:18And I think as Callum McGregor mentioned on countless occasions going up to it

00:01:24That winning a title is not easy

00:01:27Some people may well look at the financial strength of Celtic

00:01:30But you still have to have not only the technical ability, the team ability

00:01:35But you have to have that psychological strength to keep on driving to get there in the end roughly

00:01:41Yeah, it's a kind of pressure that they have to deal with that other teams don't

00:01:45You know, and when you're going to park and you're expected to win every week

00:01:50That pressure sometimes can mount, particularly if there's a challenge just breathing over your shoulder

00:01:56But that never happened this year

00:01:58But certainly they've still got to go out and maintain a performance

00:02:01Because if you don't maintain the performance, somebody else will take your place

00:02:04Yeah, and in the end, you know, it was a little bit of a stroll against Dundee United

00:02:09The Celtic fans were out there in force

00:02:12And so were the Tangerines and the other inflatable balls, Stan

00:02:16Yeah, obviously the Celtic supporters were not happy with the pricing up at the game

00:02:21I think 43 quid or something like that, which is scandalous for a game of football

00:02:24To be honest, I think Dundee United took the mickey out of that

00:02:27I think they knew that Celtic were going to bring up a large contingent of supporters in their instum, I think, for money

00:02:33Something needs to be done about that, Stan

00:02:35Yeah, it's not just Dundee United, I'm not picking them out

00:02:37It's £30-odd, £35 at the other games as well

00:02:41And yeah, people have not got any money, Peter

00:02:42And that's the thing, you know, you're paying £40-odd for a ticket

00:02:46You're travelling up there, maybe getting a pie and a programme and stuff like that

00:02:50Maybe £70-80 if you've got kids, you're more

00:02:52So, yeah, I think they've got to do something about that

00:02:54I think £20-£25 max should be the fees for going to games tickets

00:03:00You want full stadiums

00:03:01But you're pricing the working-class support out of the stadiums

00:03:06Yeah, what about the overall game? 5-0

00:03:08And, you know, there's always a story here and there within the 90 minutes

00:03:13Nicholas Kuhn maybe just casting his ears towards people who've been critical of him

00:03:19And then giving it one of these signs as well

00:03:22To be fair, you know, Nicholas Kuhn, like many other footballers, has to take it in the chin

00:03:27If people have him, you know, producing great for him up into the Bayern Munich game

00:03:31Really good against Bayern Munich

00:03:32And then he just dropped off a wee bit

00:03:34Yeah, I think when you set such high standards, Peter, like he'd done in the first half of the season

00:03:38Then people expect it every week

00:03:40And he hasn't done that, I think, after the Bayern Munich game

00:03:42He's not, he's been off form

00:03:44I think the game against Rangers at Parkhead, he was dreadful, got hooked at half-time

00:03:48He'd been hooked at half-time a couple of games

00:03:50So he's not been doing it

00:03:51He said a wee spell out of the team

00:03:53Maybe that was to kick up the backside that he needed

00:03:54He's come back in and he looked sharp the last couple of games

00:03:57Took his goals well

00:03:58And he looked sharp on the day

00:04:00But, yeah, I think you're always going to be criticised if you set such a high standard

00:04:04And then you don't fulfil that

00:04:05In, you know, preceding games

00:04:08So I think the Celtic supporters are well within their rights

00:04:12To give him a bit of stick

00:04:13But if he plays like that every week, Peter

00:04:14Then they have no issues at all with the supporters

00:04:17Yeah, overall, comfortable for them

00:04:19You know, I can't

00:04:21I think Donetti started the game well

00:04:22But I think when you get games like that

00:04:24Where Celtic are on the verge of the title

00:04:26And they've got a big support supporting them

00:04:27You can get heavy defeats like that

00:04:29And with Jim Goodwin listening

00:04:30I think the other result probably went for him

00:04:32He was getting beat

00:04:33So they're still just about in the race

00:04:35But they've got a big game against the road this weekend

00:04:37Yeah, we did mention that Brendan Rodgers has guided Celtic

00:04:42To the two domestic trophies

00:04:44One's still on offer

00:04:45And it could be on the way to a sixth treble

00:04:49In the last decade

00:04:51Which is no mean feat

00:04:52This is what Brendan Rodgers had to say

00:04:54About his own future

00:04:55It's 200% that I'll be here for sure next season

00:04:59Because we want to build again

00:05:01And we want to grow

00:05:02I'm so happy I came back to Celtic

00:05:04Because of the challenge

00:05:05Knowing the pressures

00:05:06My emotional attachment to the club

00:05:08Clearly has me here

00:05:09Rather than be elsewhere

00:05:11It's just a chance to be the best manager at Celtic

00:05:14I can possibly be

00:05:15Days like today make it special

00:05:17Well, it certainly is special

00:05:18Because he's the most decorated

00:05:20Living Celtic manager

00:05:22And that's no mean feat

00:05:23Is it redemption?

00:05:25Roughy, on the basis that

00:05:26You know, there was a lot of people

00:05:28Were maybe looking at him and saying

00:05:29Okay, you know

00:05:31The majority I think of Celtic fans

00:05:33Are looking and saying

00:05:33Redemption

00:05:34You've done really well

00:05:36You've, you know

00:05:37Delivered what we were hoping for

00:05:39And, you know

00:05:40Fair play to you

00:05:41The misdemeanour of the past

00:05:43Has maybe been put on the back burner

00:05:44With I think a lot of them

00:05:46Yeah, I think he was very honest

00:05:47In his interview

00:05:48He did mention just what you've said there

00:05:50He knew when he came back

00:05:52There was a nucleus of the support

00:05:54And the other thing he said was

00:05:56In-house as well

00:05:57You know

00:05:58And he must have known

00:06:00That those people

00:06:01Were not happy with the way

00:06:03It all happened

00:06:03It went away

00:06:04So it was a brave man for him

00:06:05To come back, you know

00:06:07And hope that he could turn over

00:06:08Everybody who was against him

00:06:10And he did that very, very quickly

00:06:12With the signings

00:06:13And the way they were playing

00:06:14And winning trophies

00:06:15So I would like to think that

00:06:16Most of the people out there

00:06:18Who didn't fancy him coming back

00:06:20Have now changed their minds

00:06:21Yeah

00:06:21Yeah, I still think at the end of the day

00:06:24You have to look at the remit

00:06:25That he was given

00:06:26He'd be aware that he had to convince people

00:06:28That he could change their opinion of him

00:06:32Maybe with the performance of the team

00:06:34And with that in mind

00:06:35I only looked at it

00:06:36From a coaching perspective

00:06:37On this good coach

00:06:38I've been critical of him

00:06:40We've paid the penalty, Tam, for that

00:06:42Which I still stand by

00:06:44But this time around

00:06:45And his second time around

00:06:47I think there's redemption

00:06:48For a lot of Celtic fans

00:06:50And I think he deserves tremendous praise

00:06:52On the basis that

00:06:53The remit is

00:06:54Try and get Celtic

00:06:55To an advanced stage

00:06:57In a European competition

00:06:58Further than they've gone

00:06:59Of late

00:07:00And I think he's achieved that

00:07:02And he also proved to a lot of people

00:07:04That I can get spanked

00:07:05In Dortmund

00:07:06And learn the lesson

00:07:08And change the side

00:07:09And produce

00:07:10You know

00:07:11A fabulous performance against Munich

00:07:13And of course

00:07:14Get them over the line

00:07:15With games to spare

00:07:16Yeah, I think he's done a great job

00:07:18Peter

00:07:18I think when you look at the overall season

00:07:19You know

00:07:20They're odds on favourites

00:07:20To go and win the treble now

00:07:21And

00:07:22Listen, I think the new Champions League format

00:07:24Suited Celtic

00:07:25I think not being in there

00:07:26With two big guns

00:07:27You know

00:07:27Two big seeds

00:07:28They'd really struggled in recent years

00:07:30Just to even finish third

00:07:31To get into Europa League

00:07:32So I think the new format suited them

00:07:34I think the fixtures were pretty kind

00:07:37You know

00:07:37I'm not taking any way for Celtic

00:07:39They still had to get out

00:07:40And win those games

00:07:41But I thought that some of the games

00:07:42At home particularly

00:07:43Were pretty kind for them

00:07:45Dortmund away

00:07:47Yep, heavily criticised

00:07:49You know

00:07:49Tactically all over the place

00:07:51You know

00:07:52And we thought

00:07:53Will he change?

00:07:54He said he did

00:07:55He said he wouldn't

00:07:55He still played the same way

00:07:56But I think he definitely tweaked it

00:07:57I think he definitely went

00:07:59More solid away from home

00:08:00They went to Atlanta

00:08:01And got a great draw

00:08:020-0

00:08:03And I think they got the confidence

00:08:04From that to kick on

00:08:05Throughout the next game

00:08:07So

00:08:07Yeah, I think he's

00:08:09Set a high bar for next season

00:08:11Rangers surely cannot be as bad
